Episode 45: Self Development With The Gospel Of Jesus Christ

In this enlightening episode of The Self Design Show, we delve into the profound intersection of spiritual growth and self-improvement through the lens of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Drawing from deeply personal experiences and insights gained during a transformative Christian Mission, our host unveils a remarkable parallel between the core tenets of the Gospel and the universal steps toward personal development.

We begin our journey with Faith, exploring how our beliefs, whether in ourselves, a higher power, or the potential for change, lay the foundation for growth. It's about seeing beyond the present, envisioning a better self, and taking that leap of trust.

Next, we tackle Repentance, likening it to the crucial step of action in the self-improvement process. It's about acknowledging our shortcomings, learning from our mistakes, and making conscious efforts to change, thereby turning challenges into stepping stones.

The episode then flows into Baptism, drawing a parallel to commitment in personal development. This step symbolizes a pivotal moment of dedication, where one fully immerses themselves in their journey of growth, marking a rebirth of sorts towards a new way of being.

Holy Ghost is discussed as the equivalent of intuition or pivoting in the self-development realm. It represents the guidance, comfort, and strength we find along our path, helping us navigate through life's uncertainties and adjust our course as we gain new insights and experiences.

Finally, we embrace the concept of Enduring to the End, a principle that resonates deeply with the ongoing nature of personal growth. It's about perseverance, resilience, and the continuous effort to improve, even when faced with adversity.

Join us in this compelling episode as we uncover how the spiritual principles of the Gospel can illuminate the path to personal betterment, offering a unique perspective on self-development that intertwines faith, action, commitment, intuition, and enduring perseverance. Whether you're deeply rooted in your faith or simply seeking a new approach to self-improvement, this episode offers valuable insights and inspiration for your journey.

We all run into situations where we either quit or keep moving forward. Whether that is to accomplish a goal, or deciding to make a goal. Have you ever wanted to take control and have a healthy lifestyle, but it seems like something always gets in the way?

Trust me. Been there done that. I know for myself I will always tell myself that I want to get into working out or eating better. A lot of the time I will start and I will have a really strong couple of days. Then... I fall. I get right back into my old habits. But why does this happen? Why is it every time we want to take control we lose it?

In this episode of "The Self Design Show" I interview Amy Roskelley all about health. Amy has been working in and changing the health world for YEARS. She does everything from sharing and creating healthy recipes, fitness exercises, and training other to be the healthiest versions of themselves. So, I interviewed her on what her personal journey was. She shares with us all about how she needed to make changes in her life, that changed her life forever. She then shares with me ways we can all get started on our journey to controlling our health in our own self design.

As mentioned before Amy has personally seen in her life when she starts to change her health habits, it feels as if her whole life has changed. She wants that change for everyone. So she does so through https://healthbeet.org . Where she writes articles all about what we can do to live better lifestyles by sharing recipes and tips. You can reach out to her with your own questions through that website, or by following her Instagram @healthbeet.

Thank you all so much for tuning in and deciding to work on your own "Self Design."

I am on your team. We'll get through this together.

Braydon Carter

Do you want more positivity in your life?

Are you seeking joy?

Do you want to live in the moment?

We hear all the time that we just need to stay positive. But what does that mean? Life can be really hard sometimes, and it's difficult to see the positivity in every situation. In this episode, we learn all about positivity through a "Quadrapalegic." Corby Campbell was in a stunting accident when he was younger making it so he would be paralyzed from the check down. He has no use of his legs and only some use in his arms. Although a difficult event, Corby sees it as a blessing and creates positivity around what has happened. He shares with us through gratitude and controlling the controlables, life can be enjoyed.

Share with your friends and family! Together we can generate positivity.

In this motivational self help podcast where we address mental health help, and self growth we talk about becoming a victor.

Everyone gets beat down, whether that is physically beat, being sexually assaulted, being born with a dysphoria, struggling with self doubt, or even depression and anxiety. Just because we have our challenges does not mean we are our challenges. You, Me, Everyone can be a victor and a hero.

In this episode with Ben Kjar, he shares with us his story of being a victim. ( Ben was born with Crouzon syndrome, a facial dysphoria that requires lots of medical procedures at a young age, but instead of listening to the haters he ended up becoming the victor he knew he was. Ben competed in wresting and one the state championship 3 years in a row. Afterward he competed collegiately becoming Utah Valley Universities first All American Wrestler. He later took 4 in the Wrestling Olympic Trials. Since then he has shared his story with tens of thousands of people, helping them see their inner hero. Now he is a successful house flipper looking to a positive future )

Ben explains that we all have a choice to be a victim, or a victor. In this episode we unpack not only how we can all be a victor, but how to embrace the challenges we have and use them for our good and to grow.
