Discernment vs. Discerning of Spirits
Discerning of spirits is a spiritual gift listed in 1 Cor. 12:10. It is the ability to discern the spirit world and detect what is the true source; to know if something is of God or not, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Discerning of spirits is not a natural discernment like being able to judge good character. It is a spiritual gift which grows as you use it. You will be able to sense whether something is of a demonic nature or if it is the flesh at work.
Where as discernment is the ability to judge well. The more you know the Word of God the more you can discern well.
Discern by the Holy Spirit. Paul and Silas were able to discern the spirit that was speaking to them and they knew it was not of God.
Acts 16 – Paul & Silas were on their way to prayer, when they were confronted with a spirit of divination.
Deut. 18:10 – Divination is witchcraft & it’s forbidden, and God says anyone who practices these things are an abomination to the Lord!
New Agers are a strong force behind world peace. Protect Your Spirit
Be mindful of what you allow your spirit to listen to. Your spirit man receives everything. Therefore, you must be on guard as to what is influencing you. Be led by the Spirit of the Lord. Train your spirit.
Testimony of a believer who listened to a playlist of frequencies which released demonic power over her life, yet she did not know it at first. It led her down a dark past. She was seduced by a familiar spirit and became very sick. The desire to drink came back and she fell into a depressing spirit until she deleted this music from her phone and renounced listening to these hypnotic, trance like sounds. Once she deleted the music all her symptoms left.

What is Required to Walk in the Overflow?
Some have not understood the anointing and have been spectators in the faith instead of being partakers in Christ.

God is looking for a generation who is ready to end the old ways of rebellion and truly seek the Lord with all their heart. A Jacob generation is what the Lord is looking for.
How is anyone’s heart changed from the old to the new? By seeking the Lord with all your heart from a right motive. A Jacob generation marks a people with a change of heart.
Jacob was marked with a new beginning when God changed his name from Jacob to Israel. When Jacob sought after God in his time of need and prevailed in prayer, the answer came. Seeking His face is desiring a deeper relationship with the Lord.
Ps. 24:5-6 Those who seek His face shall receive a blessing from Him. This promise shows the heart of our Lord, “Come to Me for I have great blessings in store for you.” We must come with the right heart motive. A motive that is utterly dependent and desperate for all of Him, His leading in your life and a total surrender to His ways and not your own.
Jacob was coming to settle in the Promised Land when he received news that his estranged brother Esau was coming to attack him with 400 men. Jacob sought the Lord all night and prevailed. That was his new beginning! At that moment the Lord changed his name from Jacob or “Heel Catcher” to Israel, “One who prevails with God.”

Both Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle. David did not forget his covenant with Jonathan and asked is there anyone left from the house of Jonathan who I may honor?
2 Sam.4:4 Mephibosheth was 5 years old, when Saul his grandfather and Jonathan his father had died in battle. His nurse took Mephibosheth and fled. As she made haste to flee, Mephibosheth fell and became lame. Mephibosheth means man of shame.
David kept true to his covenant of kindness and friendship. 2 Sam 9:3-13 David showed mercy to Mephibosheth. A prototype of our Lord who redeems, restores, and returns us to our Father’s table in peace. Lo Debar means no pasture, no communication, land of nothing!
David’s kindness must have overwhelmed any fear Mephibosheth may have had of David who was in the position his family was at one time as king. Yet David did not treat Mephibosheth as a prisoner of war but was faithful to keep his covenant he made with Jonathan.
Mephibosheth, man of shame was in Lo Debar- land of nothing! But the Lord raised him up to sit at the Kings table for the rest of his life. He was provided for!
We came in sin and emptiness and received the gift of salvation and entered a covenant relationship with Jesus!
We have been invited to sit at His table even in the presence of our enemies!
You Are the Light of Christ!

In Christ, you are the light of the world, your obedience is your strength. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matt. 5:14
The “I Will” is NO Match for the “I Am!” Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!
Darkness cannot overcome the light! John 1:5 “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Comprehend: Seize, lay hold of, overcome it - Darkness cannot understand you!
To the Christian, light is not only greater than darkness, but outlasts it and overcomes it!
Jesus said, “No one takes My life, I lay it down.” Jesus, the Light of the world, in His obedience was His strength. “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” John 8:12
The devil cannot handle your obedience because you represent Christ to him, and Jesus publicly shamed the devil at the cross. When the devil sees you, he knows you represent the one who brought him to shame! “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Col. 2:15
When you speak your identity in Christ, the devil cannot tell who you are from who Jesus is!
Because you have been grafted in! You have been raised up with Christ! You carry His name, His identity, His authority!
Stop letting the devil wear you out!
There is a way of walking in authority that keeps you strong! In 1 Corinthians 2:12 the Bible says believers in Christ have received the Spirit who is of God. Every believer has the fullness of God's Spirit within them, and He will always lead you into truth and triumph.

Remove Yourself from the Chaos
Jehovah Jireh – God will provide! During Abraham’s most difficult trial, his test of faith proved Jehovah Jireh was his only Source! In Genesis 22 the Lord asked him to offer his son, his only son, Isaac as a burnt offering.
His testing was not about human sacrificing for God clearly forbids that, but the testing of his faith.
In Genesis 22:5 the key to his victory is clearly stated. Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the Lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
Sometimes when the warfare is all around you the best thing you can do is to remove yourself from the chaos and worship the Lord! Knowing you are going back to finish your assignment but you’re going back with His wisdom, His strength, and His direction over your life.

Do You Desire the Heart of God Psalm 23
If you desire to walk with the heart of God, you will allow His word to mold your mind, your will, your emotions.
I am always with you! What kind of a gift is this! We have a beautiful gift in Him, never take that for granted.
He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Your enemies will see the favor in your life. In the presence of your enemies, He prepares a banqueting table.
Others will see the change in your life, the joy, the expectation for the Lord and your unwavering faith. They may wonder what has changed in your life, but we know it is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
You have the oil of gladness, and it is overflowing in you! The more pain, the louder your praise should be. Let your praise be louder than your pain.
When you know who you are in Christ you can’t stay down, and your joy will overflow.
This one thing I desire, this one thing I seek, that I would seek Him and dwell with Him in the house of the Lord. Psalm 27:4
What Well Are You Drinking From?
Honor and provision are closely connected. If there is no honor their will be no provision.
No disciple will follow a teacher unless you know they walk uprightly and are appointed by the Lord.
John 3:2 Nicodemus came by night and inquired of Jesus. He recognized position before he received the provision.
You cannot receive the provision until you honor the position. Honor the vessel of God and know they are sent from God, or you will not receive anything from them. Nicodemus positioned himself in faith and therefore He received from Jesus.
At the great wedding of Cana, the first miracle according to the gospel of John chapter 2 the fulfillment of the need followed the honor of the vessel.
When Mary honored position, the provision followed. They filled the six pots of water present with water to the brim at the instruction of Jesus because Mary would not disregard the vessel of Honor that was present. She understood the principle of honor and therefore everyone present received from Jesus, the vessel of honor.
It was in the drawing of the water that the miracle happened. When you draw on the living water, the ordinary goes to extraordinary. Are you drawing from the well? Are you drawing from the right well? Draw from Jesus and your life will increase.
Faith without corresponding action does not perform. There was an action before faith performed.
Once honor was established provision became available.
Sometimes you may feel like you cannot hear the voice of God. But even God’s silence is still speaking. You can sit before the Lord and not hear a thing and yet receive everything you need.
Belief and honor make a way for the provision from Jesus and from one another. Once the vessels were filled up then poured out the miracle happened.
When He fills you up and pours you out, then you see the miraculous happen in your life.
John 4 Jesus sat by Jacob’s well.
Jesus was tired, but He sat by the well.
The best thing you can do when you are tired is to sit. Sit by the wells of Salvation. To sit in Jesus’ presence is the best thing to do when fatigued or discouraged.
Learn to honor the vessel’s God brings you. As you honor the vessels, you will receive from what they carry.

Nuclear Family Under Attack The nuclear family is under attack, but the Lord said I will trouble those who trouble you.
Church we must stand up to the attack and attack the attackers.
Disney’s agenda, gender confusion, and puberty blockers are some of the topics that are indoctrinating our youth of this day.
There is an irreverence to the Lord God, and many are falling for a lukewarm Christianity, but the Lord had some stern things to say about that.
We must speak up and stand in the gap and pray for this is the time to be bold as a lion.
This is not a time to sit back and expect other people to do your job. We are called ambassadors for Christ and an ambassador will speak up for who they represent.

Can Anything Good Come Out of Your Life? Matthew 2:23
Jesus began His public ministry in a way that offended many, for the offense of the mind had to occur to weed out the false from the genuine.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the House of Bread, and raised in Nazareth, a town historically known as one of the lowliest places on earth.
Matthew 2:23 He came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Nathaniel asked this question in John 1:46 The Jews viewed Nazareth as one of the lowliest places on earth and that nothing good could come of it. But God chose to have His Son, the Savior of the world live in Nazareth. God choses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, the weak things to shame the strong. 1 Cor. 1:27 & 28
Jesus, the Nazarian, the Branch of the Lord that would come and establish righteousness! Jesus the Branch that can be transplanted and grafted into a human life. Rom. 11:17 & 18
Romans 11:17& 18- But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.
Isaiah 11:1-3 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
John 15: 1-4 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
He began His public ministry in Nazareth He offended many in that town with His teachings. He was almost thrown off a cliff in that town because of the people’s opposition to the truth He brought. Luke 4:29 He did not do many works in that town because of the people’s unbelief. Matt. 13:58

Massacre of the Innocent As King Herod was fooled by the wise men, Pharaoh the king of Egypt was fooled by the midwives!
Herod wanted to destroy Jesus as Pharaoh wanted to destroy Moses.
The assigned executioners did not follow the plot assigned to them because they feared and obeyed God more than man. The Hebrew midwives were instructed to kill the male children at the time of birth in Exodus 1:16 because of Pharoah’s increasing jealousy and insecurity towards the Hebrews.
Yet the hand of God was with His people, and they continued to be fruitful and increased despite the persecution against them.
When Herod was deceived by the wise men, he sent forth word to put to death all the male children born in Bethlehem from two years old and under. Matthew 2:16
But an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to arise, take the young Child, Jesus, out of Egypt.

The gospel of Matthew opens the New Testaments with dreams, visions, angelic visitations, and prophesies!
Prophesied in Joel 2:28 and reaffirmed in Acts 2:17 In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream in Matthew 1 Now in Matthew 2 the wise men being warned in a dream not to return to Herod. Matthew 2:12 “Then being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.”
Bethlehem means “House of Bread” Jesus born in Bethlehem, the House of Bread became living bread, the bread of life which sustains us, nourishes us and strengthens us for the battle at hand.

Pregnant with Promise – Matthew 1

The Power of the Holy Spirit has Conceived a Promise In You Pregnant with promise! “Joseph, that which is conceived in Mary, that which is orientated, created and developed in her is of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:20
In the Jewish culture the engagement was a prenuptial contract. It could only be nullified by going through the formal divorce process. Mary, engaged to Joseph, still lived with her parents, until the public marriage ceremony took place. The engagement period was usually entered into when the girl turned 13. Mary was just a teenager when she was engaged and gave birth. The angel who appeared to Joseph in a dream told him not to be afraid to take Mary as your wife also told him, “She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people form their sins.” Matthew 1:21
Jesus – the Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua and means Yahweh is salvation, restoration, and deliverance. This was a prophecy fulfilled: “Behold the virgin shall be with child and bear Son and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us. Matthew 1:23 Joseph arose from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife Mary and did not know her until she brought forth her firstborn Son, Jesus.
Faith! Trust! Obedience! All in the face impossible circumstances. Pregnant by God! Never heard of before. Yet it was true. Highest form of purity and simplicity, yet would have been considered scandalous, and impossible. Beyond anything they thought of or imagined possible, yet God choose them to bring about His perfect will.
The God sized dream in you is bigger than your plan, bigger than your comfort, bigger than your expectation. It will require your faith, your trust and your obedience to the will of God. What seems impossible or even ridiculous may just be what He is doing in and through you to bring about His perfect will.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the Kingdom of God and His rightlessness and all these things shall be added unto you.
Four centuries of silence. Where was the promised Messiah? The Jewish people were waiting for the word of the prophets to come true. Then suddenly the angel Gabriel made an appearance to a teenage girl to announce His birth. Jesus was a direct descendant of King David, preserving and fulfilling His royal line as the rightful heir as well as a descendant of Abraham, the father of Israel.
The word gospel doesn’t just mean “good news.” It also means to “preach the good news.” In other words, it is not just theology but a telling of stories and teachings that unfold who our King is, King Jesus
John 1:1 and 1 John 1:1 set the stage in explaining Jesus as the Son of God, eternal and without beginning. • John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. • 1 John 1:1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—
The Book of Matthew presents Jesus as God’s Anointed One. The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua and means, “Yahweh is salvation.” Five women are included in the Matthews genealogy: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary the mother of Jesus. Matthew 1:16 Joseph is named as the husband of Mary, not the father of Jesus.

Expectation is Key As I went to my miracle service at House of Glory and shared about the blind man who was healed, faith filled the room and three people were touched in their eyes and were healed of blurred vision! But not only that! Ten people were healed in their knees, some were bone upon bone, because the power of God filled the room as the testimony of blindness went forth!
The power of a testimony! The same power that rose Jesus from the dead lives in you right now. I decree faith is rising in you right now! You are getting ignited with Christ power right now. Mark 1:21-28 As Jesus taught in the synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out and interrupted His teaching. “Let us alone! What have we to do with You Jesus of Nazareth? Did you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One of God!”
You Will Learn:
Demons Recognize Authority Jesus wasn’t speaking to the demons but was preaching the Word of God. The Word of God was convicting the demons and caused a reaction. They recognized truth (the Word) spoken from authority. When truth is coupled with true authority, demons tremble and react. They recognized and exposed themselves. They recognized authority in Jesus.
Do the Demons Recognize Authority in You? When you speak truth, preach the Word of God, or share a testimony and you receive an odd response, a demon spirit may have manifested itself. It recognizes authority in you. Rebuke the demon and cast it out. Don’t entertain it.
Muzzle and Cast out the Demon Jesus rebuked it, muzzled it, and cast it out. You don’t counsel a demon you cast it out. The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud voice he came out of him.
In this season, you shall now see what was always available to you, but you had not yet apprehended. Your eyes are being opened to the spiritual realm. If you will remain in your convictions an in your God appointed position, God will move you into higher realms of His authority and His power will be released through you.
