Most of his life, people talked about him instead of talking to him. They would stand nearby and whisper. Sometimes not even quietly. "Why is he blind?" "Was it something his parents did?" "Did someone sin?" Imagine hearing people debate your life like that. Like you're not even standing there. Today we are reflecting on John 9:1-41, in which Jesus heals a blind man while remaining respectful and not treating the man’s disability as a punishment from God. This story is highly personal to Pastor Travis, who relates today’s Gospel passage to his own experience with blindness. Listen until the end to hear what today’s Gospel is really about, and to be reminded that when the world pushes you away, Jesus is looking for you.

You know that hour, don’t you? That still, quiet hour after two AM when your family is asleep, but your mind is wide awake. This is the time when your internal accountant takes over, calculating the costs of bills you have to pay and choices you have to make. Luke 14:25-33 is a challenging passage where Jesus describes how his followers must hate their families. Does he really mean that we have to despise our loved ones and be alone to be good Christians? What do a broom-wielding Martha, a monastery-leading Mary, and a jealous pastor in a church parking lot all have in common? They’ve all met the same dragon—the one that whispers, "Lord, don’t you care?"
In this inspiring and imaginative sermon, Pastor Travis weaves together legend, scripture, and modern-day ministry to explore the story of Mary and Martha in Luke’s Gospel—and how their legacy invites us to live with clarity, compassion, and courage.
Rather than choosing between service or stillness, faithfulness or feeling overlooked, we’re invited to ask a deeper question: What is Jesus calling me to today?
Through heartfelt storytelling and grounded wisdom, you’ll hear how Martha’s complaint became her calling, how comparison can turn into blessing, and how your quiet endurance might just be your greatest gift.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, overworked, or tempted by envy—this message is for you. Let’s face our dragons. Let’s find our “one thing.” And let’s do it together.

Hijacked by Mercy: A Good Samaritan Story for Today
After a week of singing road trip songs and guiding kids through faith adventures as “Navigator Travis,” Pastor Travis brings us a sermon that flips the map. In this fresh and deeply relatable take on the Parable of the Good Samaritan, we’re reminded that eternal life isn’t about staying on schedule—it’s about pulling over.
Jesus reroutes the question from “Who is my neighbor?” to “Will they survive without you?”—and suddenly, the path of faith leads us into the very places we’re tempted to avoid. Whether it’s a literal ditch or a spiritual detour, this message calls us to go and do likewise.
Expect honesty, challenge, and hope—as we’re invited to show up with compassion, interrupt our plans, and become the kind of neighbor who changes lives.

What if the most radical act of faith isn't having all the answers—but showing up empty-handed?
In a world of Ring cameras and deadbolts, where we'll order DoorDash but won't borrow sugar from neighbors, Jesus sends seventy trainees into enemy territory with the worst packing list ever: no wallet, no backpack, not even extra sandals. Their only weapon? "Peace to this house."
This powerful message explores three life-changing knocks that Jesus teaches us: the knock of surrender that forces us to rely on others, the knock of reckoning that reminds us we're not responsible for how people respond to God's peace, and the knock of identity that grounds our worth in whose we are, not what we accomplish.
Whether you're struggling with perfectionism, afraid of rejection, or building your identity on achievements, this sermon will challenge you to go empty-handed into a world that desperately needs authentic connection. Because your name is written in heaven—and that's what makes you brave enough to knock on doors you can't control.
Sometimes the most dangerous thing you can do is also the most divine: knocking on a door with nothing but peace to offer.

Feeling overwhelmed trying to "figure out" the Trinity? You're not alone! This week, we ditch the theological toolbox and discover God not as a static diagram, but as a joyful, unstoppable dance.
Imagine unboxing the divine like a YouTube video… only to find wild, untamable mystery. We’ll meet galaxy-spinning Wisdom (Sophia) shouting at city gates, laugh with her as oceans burst into being, and feel the pulse of the Holy Spirit cutting through our noisy world of deepfakes and half-truths.

The Trinity is a collaborative rhythm: the Father’s steady love, Jesus spinning grace in the mess, and the Spirit’s breath in our bones. When life trips us up (jobs vanish, scans scare, wars rage), this divine rhythm turns suffering into endurance, character, and unshakeable hope.
Ready to move? We’ll explore 3 simple ways to join the dance this week: serving like Jesus, speaking truth like Sophia, and breathing in the Spirit’s love. Stop spectating. Your invitation to the greatest dance – wild, free, and full of hope – starts now.

Title: “The Lord Needs You”
As Holy Week begins, we step into a story that is bothbeautiful and challenging. In this Palm Sunday message, Pastor Travis reflects on the radical, upside-down love of Jesus—a love that rides in on a donkey, asks for our help, and walks all the way to the cross.
It’s a message about surrender, trust, and the quiet pull ofgrace. We hear about ordinary people—like the one who gave up a donkey or the woman who gave away her inheritance—who played extraordinary roles in God’sstory simply by saying "yes."
This week, we’re reminded that Jesus still says, “I needyou.” Not your perfection, not your performance—just your willing heart.
Take a listen, and let this be a sacred pause in your day aswe move from the joy of "Hosanna" to the deep love shown on the cross.

The Love Lab: Where Impossible Love Becomes Possible
Jesus’ words in Luke 6 are challenging—love your enemies, give to everyone who asks, and turn the other cheek. These commands stretch us beyond our limits, exposing the truth: We can’t love like this on our own. But that’s the point. Love isn’t meant to be a solo act—it’s something we practice together in community.
In this episode, we explore what happens when we stop seeing Jesus’ words as impossible ideals and start treating them as an experiment in grace. Like St. Francis of Assisi, who found creative ways to give even when he was told not to, we, too, can discover new ways to love. Through real struggles and real grace, we’re learning that love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a skill. And the only way to get better is to show up, try again, and lean on one another.
So, what’s one small act of love you can try today? Listen in and be part of the experiment.

In today’s episode, Pastor Rod Hill is reflecting on his own baptism and the question of how to live as a responsible follower of Jesus. He tells the story of how Jesus was asked whether or not to pay taxes to the emperor, and how Jesus responded by saying "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and render unto God that which is God's."
Pastor Hill says that this question is still relevant today, and that we all need to think about how we can live our lives in a way that is both responsible to our government and to God. He doesn't give any easy answers, but he challenges us to think about this question for ourselves.
In today's episode, we talk about the parable of the wedding banquet. It is a story about a king who throws a huge feast for his son, but no one shows up. He sends his servants out to gather people from the streets, but one man is not wearing the proper attire and is thrown out.
The parable is a reminder that God's invitation to salvation is open to everyone, regardless of their worthiness. We should respond to God's invitation with repentance and faith, and live in accordance with Christ's teachings. We should also invite others to experience the kingdom of heaven.
Even if you don't have the perfect wedding attire, you're still welcome at God's feast. Just come as you are.
This week, we're talking about authority. What does it mean? Who has it? And how do we use it?
Jesus was constantly being asked about his authority. The religious leaders wanted to know by what authority he was doing the things he was doing. They wanted to trap him, but Jesus was too wise for that. He answered their question with a question of his own, and they were stumped.
The truth is, we're all asked about our authority on a daily basis. Maybe it's our boss asking us to do something we don't want to do. Maybe it's our kids asking us for something we know is bad for them. Or maybe it's our spouse asking us to change something about ourselves.
No matter who's asking, the question is the same: why should I listen to you?
In the passage we read today, Jesus tells us that our authority comes from God. He says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." And if it's been given to him, then it's been given to us too.
So, how do we use our authority wisely? We use it to serve others. We use it to love others. We use it to build up others.
We don't use our authority to control others. We don't use it to manipulate others. We don't use it to hurt others.
When we use our authority wisely, we're reflecting the image of God. We're showing the world what it means to be a true leader.
So, next time you're asked about your authority, remember that it comes from God. And use it wisely.

In this week's Vacation Bible School, the theme was "Ready, Set, Move!" The focus was on following Jesus and doing what He does, believing what He tells us, loving the people He loves, and going where He leads us. The parable discussed was the story of the Sower who plants seed in various types of soil. The seed on the path gets snatched up by birds, the rocky ground yields nothing, the thorns choke it out, but the seed on good soil yields abundant fruit. Jesus explains that the seed represents the Word of God and the soil represents people's hearts. Only a quarter of those who hear the message will understand and live it out or pass it on. The focus is on God, who scatters seed lavishly and invites us to take a step forward in faith.
