Amobi is a professional soccer player and the founder of the financial-literacy company A Frugal Athlete. He was drafted after his freshman year at UCLA into Major League Soccer as part of the 2010 Generation Adidas Class. He has amassed over 200 appearances in all competitions professionally and has been honored to represent the United States national team program at various youth levels, including the 2012 Olympic squad.

Amobi Okugo was born in Hayward, California, to Nigerian immigrants and is the oldest of four siblings. He holds a Masters in Sports Law in addition to a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership and Development with a minor in Business Administration. Besides sports, his other interests include business, entrepreneurship, and marketing.

Michael Lenoir  discusses his untraditional path towards his dream of being in the NBA. From Dallas, Texas, he was a 2020 NBA draft prospect. Leading up to the draft Michael attended 3 different high schools Waxahachie, Desoto, and Faith Family Academy. Even with all of the moving around he still maintain a 3.5 GPA and helped his HS team with the State Tournament his senior year. However, Michael did not have any college offers to play basketball upon graduating high school in 2019. 

His father took upon himself to enroll Michael in creating young minds Academy, for Michael to attend as a post graduate Athlete with the aim of earning a college scholarship to play basketball. 

After his prep season Michael played for the Lewisville Leopards in the TBL (The Basketball League), which is a professional basketball league in the US. Since his inauguration in the 2019-2020 season he has put on 30 ponds and bulked up, added 6 inches to his vertical, elevated his basketball IQ, and became a positive vocal leader with a bright future ahead of them!

Mario is a retired NBA player and newly appointed Director of the NBPA’s Off The Court (OTC) Program. He previously played for the Atlanta Hawks and New Jersey Nets. He played college basketball for Georgia Tech. He joined the Tech squad as a walk-on in the fall of 2002, redshirted that year, and earned a scholarship the 2003-04 season when tech made it to the NCAA National Championship in 2004 losing to UConn. West departed Georgia Tech 16th on the school's all-time list for steals. He was voted team captain during the 2006-07 season. West won the 2007 NCAA State Farm Slam Dunk Contest held during the tournament's Final Four week. West was known as a hard worker and an intense defender. Atlanta Hawks Head Coach Mike Woodson was quoted as saying "I've been around this league a long time and I don't think I've ever seen a guy play as hard as Mario plays. He pushes guys in practice to play hard and if you don't play hard he embarrasses you in terms of just knocking the hell out of you." Teammate Acie Law said "You can ask anybody in this locker room, Mario's the hardest worker on the team. You have to be at practice to see him. His motor never stops. Chris Helwick is a 35-year-old professional decathlete and self-proclaimed “born-again athlete.” After a 5th place finishes at the 2012 US Olympic Trials in the decathlon, Helwick hung up his spikes, certain his athletic career was over. However, after spending six years in retirement, Helwick decided he had unfinished business. So in 2018, he announced he’d be coming out of retirement with plans to make a third and final attempt at the Olympic decathlon. Chris now trains full-time at Colorado State University where he serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the Ram’s Track and Field team and has set his sight on the 2021 Olympic Games.

Sims started at left tackle for the 2003 and 2004 seasons before bumping inside to guard in 2005. During Fallon’s time at Georgia Tech, she was a four-year starter for the Women’s Basketball team and received All-ACC honors during her collegiate career. Post college career, Fallon attended Georgia State University and received a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. After her tenure at Georgia State, she continued her education and received a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia in 2012. Fallon has been a practicing attorney since 2013, specializing in criminal defense. As a defense attorney, Fallon is a fighter for justice and has witnessed examples of authentic systematic inequality in the criminal justice system. She is an advocate for change and social justice reform and is very passionate about seeking justice and helping the ill-served in the community.

Alvin Scioneaux was born and raised in St. John Parish, Louisiana. Currently a Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from SDSU. Sam Lofton is a former professional women’s soccer player who was a D1 standout athlete at James Madison University. She was drafted 20th overall in 2015 to the NWSL Boston Breakers. After two seasons in the NWSL she went on to play two and a half seasons in Europe, where she won two championships and was notably the best left defender in Iceland. She retired in 2018 after becoming a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and a certified Meditation and Mindfulness coach. She now teaches meditation to athletes as a form of mental training for sport and life.
