Christians in the West see chaos growing: violent protests, unbiblical social movements, political instability and even pressures to shutter churches. So how should Christians respond?

The Arab Springs offer a helpful case study of Christians responding in the midst of chaos. During the Arab Spring, protests swept through many Middle Eastern countries and several governments fell. Poverty, extremism and war threatened the Christians who called those nations home. How they responded offer us clues in how we can respond to growing pressures today.

In this encore episode, "John," a Christian worker born and raised in Syria, returns to the Christian Emergency Podcast to offer insights from this chaotic period. Together with Andy, they look at what Christians can expect in the coming days, thoughtful ways we can respond, and spiritual opportunities to look for.

The Apostle Paul famously served as a tentmaker to support himself during his ministry in the First Century. What does it look like for Christians today to follow in his entrepreneurial footsteps? How can tentmaking serve Kingdom priorities in the rainy days ahead?

On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Troy Albee – pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church on the South Shore of Boston – provides helpful insights from his own experience as an entrepreneur. Like Paul, Troy helped support himself while in ministry by identifying a need and developing the skills to meet it. In Trent’s case, he launched a successful lock and key business – South Shore Lock and Key.

Side hustles provide Christians additional income, flexibility and opportunities. Small business ventures also offer unexpected insights into spiritual principles. You may be stretched and face rejection. But you will also discover new strengths, while finding opportunities to mentor the younger believers around you and engage the lost in your midst.

Christians should not take all of this for granted. The cultural landscape is increasingly hostile. The workplace is too often a place where Christians are targeted and pressured to compromise. That is why Christian enterprise will play a critical role in the coming days.

Indigenous Christians in Uzbekistan have a heart to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to other nations. Praise God! However, many are unable to support these missionary efforts themselves. Is it just because they are live in a less affluent region? Or is there something more at play?

Local churches across the globe need to be self-propagating, self-governing and self-supporting. This last feature is often poorly developed or overlooked. James Cha, former missionary and Christian leader, joins theChristian Emergency Podcast to what this means for the Church.

The Nevius Method is a missionary approach that emphasizes these three themes, in addition to healthy theology. The method is based off the approach use by John Livingstone Nevius, a missionary to China in the 19th Century. His method made a big impact on how Christianswere discipled in China and Korea.

James suggests that this simple approach, rooted in simple obedience, would improve the health and strength of many local churches. This is true of churches in Central Asia, Africa and even the West. If Christians faithfully tithe, even if they have little to offer, the effects areprofound. On this encore episode, James shares from his personal experience to show how missionaries and Christians should consider incorporating the Nevius Method in their own settings.

In April 2024, a fresh wave of attacks against the Coptic Christians of Minya Province, Egypt erupted. Why did Muslim mobs attack their homes, destroy their businesses and even contaminate their water supply? Well you see, there were rumors these Christians wanted to build themselves a church. Yep. That was enough to set things off.

Not only did the Muslim mobs give full vent to their fury by attacking the Christian villages, but police on the scene stood by and did nothing. Local governments and security services had even been warned ahead of time that troubles were likely. Still, the assaults were allowed to happen.

After all, who would find out? And who would care?

Well we at the Christian Emergency Alliance care, and we suspect you will also. In fact, the entire Christian community around the world needs to be alerted to these practices. That way, we can pray specifically and use our voices to put a stop to this criminal campaign.

To help us understand exactly what happened, MariamWahba joins the show. As a Coptic Christian who knows a thing or two about the Minya Province, she recognizes the patterns at play in these attacks. She also shares interesting insights into the ancient history of the Coptic Christians and the origins of this persecution.

In January 2024, a Coptic Christian woman waskidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam in Egypt. Irene Ibrahim Shehata, a 21-year-old medical student at Asyut National University disappeared between her mid-term exams. Her frantic family sought help from the police, but none was provided. Why? What was going on?

Sadly, Irene’s case is neither isolated nor rare. In Egypt, and other countries, Christian women are “disappeared,”kidnapped by Muslims, forcibly converted, married off and enslaved. How does this happen in the 21st century? Who is driving this trafficking of Christian women? What can be done to combat this evil?

“Lindsay,” an associate with Coptic Solidarity, joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed light on this evil pattern playing out. She answers these questions and more as she brings this issue to light; an issue many would rather leave concealed in darkness.

As you learn about the plight of these Christian women and girls, please pray for them. Pray for their families. Prayfor their release and return. And pray for their abductors, that in their hearts they may be convicted of their actions, repent and come to faith in Christ.

In early 2024, the Christian Emergency Alliance visited the Christians of Nigeria’s Middle Belt region. Nigeria’sMiddle Belt is known as one of the world’s largest swaths of Christian persecution today.

The threats are vast. Even in recent weeks, multiple attacks have targeted Christians. Hundreds have been kidnapped, including children at their schools. Hundreds more have been murdered by Jihadists and criminals. Many have been injured and thousands have been forciblydisplaced from their homes.

The challenges are vast. But there are also massive ways for Christians around the world to engage and help, whether through prayer or active measures. On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Andywalks you through some of what he saw on the ground with Nigeria’s persecuted Christians.

One of Andy’s observations: we find ourselves in the era of small ministry. Small ministries, small churches, even small groups, will likely be shouldering outsized roles in helping the persecuted church. If you are led to link up with our efforts to help in Nigeria, you can do so atwww.ChrisianEmergency.com. You can also reach out to us if you would like Andy to visit your church or small group. He can share even more intimate insights into all that's playing out among Nigeria's persecuted Christians.

The Christian Emergency Alliance is downshifting hard in its work on the ground in Nigeria. We are helping the victims of persecution: orphans and widows; pastors and evangelists. Our efforts include helping provide emergency assistance when groups like Boko Haram strike Christian villages.

The challenges are big. But our God is beyond measure. Let us lean on Christ, link arms with one another, and help the Church in Nigeria stand.

Christian kids and teenagers today face a gauntlet of challenges, particularly when it comes to remaining faithful in our increasingly faithless cultures.

Christians parents are in a similar boat. Many have no clue how to help their young ones navigate today’s pressures. How do they even instruct their kids when things shift so swiftly? How do moms, dads or grandparents find their own bearings, let alone direct their families?

These are common frustrations shared by most Christian parents – even pastors and youth pastors. Fortunately, there are resources and leaders available to help you chart a course for your Christian kiddos and teens.

One such leader is Jason Jimenez of Stand Strong Ministries. Jason has delved deep into these issues and spent years helping and encouraging Christians on precisely these topics. He joins this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to quickly inject much-needed assistance in a digestible manner. Jason not only flags helpful context but also discusses the ample resources available through his and other aligned ministries.

Help has arrived for beleaguered parents and Christians. Believers have great materials, great truth and a great God on our side.

Cross-cultural missions is an exciting calling. But Christians may be surprised to learn there are real problems in the missions community. The woke theology many believers have recently discovered in their midst is not limited to our home countries. In fact, woke theology has wormed its way into other countries through western missionaries.

Missionaries getting ready to launch into the field may have no clue this is going on. Many pastors, missions committees and lay Christians are in the dark too. What is going on and how can churches respond?

In this encore episode, veteran missionary and author E.D. Burns joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed helpful daylight on this important topic. He shares helpful insights from his recent book, Ancient Gospel, Brave New World.

Many Christians today fear their faith may one day cost them their job. They are not sure what they should do. Should they keep their faith a secret? Simply go along to get along? What would it be like if they actually got fired for following Christ? And how should the Church respond?

Dr. Aaron Edwards knows a thing or two about getting fired for faithful stands. He was recently fired from his teaching position at Cliff College in Britain. His offense: publicly speaking out about sin infiltrating the Church. This was too much for the “Christian” college. When internet rage demanded Aaron lose his job, his employer quickly capitulated.

On this encore presentation, learn from Dr. Edwards’ experience as he shares what he endured and also how God provided. His story reminds us that following Christ is high adventure, with plenty of drama but also loads of joy.

For Christians in the West, the concept of “tribe”might be an alien concept. For much of the world, however, the tribe is a normal part of everyday life. The tribe is the community of shared values and history, where jobs and insurance are provided, and where members are protected. The Bible also speaks of tribes and the importance of reaching them with the Gospel.

But what about the Global Church? Could it be considered the Tribe of Christ? If so, how would that play out? What responsibilities would we have for one another? How would our own lives be different if we realized our extended families were actually tribes that needed to know Christ?

To talk through this important yet largely untouched topic, Charles McAllister joins this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Charles has served for many years as a Christian missionary in Jordan, where he had a front row seat to Arab tribal life. He recognized that many of thefeatures of tribal life mirrored ways Christians are called to live in community. Hospitality, history and identity were all hallmarks of the tribe. His insights are significant for Christian missions, as well as how we live out our lives in a hostile world.

Disciple-Making Movements, or DMM, is a missions strategy that has been employed by missionaries across the world. Sometimes controversial, the missions model sought to help people come to Christ, even in countries where persecution was rife.

DMM followed an earlier, related strategy called Church-Planting Movements, or CPM. David Garrison helped pioneer CPM in the late 1990s and the missions strategy has morphed since then.

But what is DMM? How did it evolve from CPM? Whatdo pastors and Christians need to know about the missional framework now that DMM is cropping up not just overseas, but in congregations across the West?

“Sean,” a pastor, former missionary, and former parachurch leader, joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to sketch out what DMM represents as well as its implications. Drawing from his extensive experience overseas, Sean offers rare insights into a topic many believers have neverheard of before. With their eyes wide open, biblical Christians can make informed decisions on the type of churches, and they type of missions, they wish to advance.

Christians don’t know their Christian history. By and large that is true. However, the more we learn of our past, the better we understand our present. But how can busy believers today gain this insight?

One way is by listening to sermons delivered by great Christian pastors long ago. Troy Frasier joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to share how he brings lost sermons to life. These sermons, along with helpful and relevant historical context, can be listened to on the Revived Thoughts Podcast. On your commute to work or when carting kids to practice, you can listen to these engaging sermons.

Another fascinating resource discussed on today’s episode is the Martyrs and Missionaries Podcast. This program, hosted by Troy’s wife, provides similar insights. Instead of sermons, however, you learn about famous missionaries, martyrs and missional movements. The content is thoroughly researched and riveting.

Francis Schaeffer was an influential Christian author, thought leader and pastor who died decades ago. The material he produced is still available both in written and video forms. Much of it rings prophetic as we remind ourselves that it was published before many of us were born.

On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, we examine one clip of Francis Schaeffer’s How Should We Then Live? documentary. Schaeffer examined a disturbing trend that suggested Christians would encounter extensivemanipulation by elites and media.

The days Schaeffer warned of have arrived. How can biblical Christians recognize when manipulation is in play? How can they see clearly through the chaff? Today’s episode speaks to these issues and more.

Some prominent leaders in the Church today regard themselves as elite Christians. They may not admit to that if asked, but a spirit of elitism is clearly at work. This is nothing new. The history of faith is filled with examples of leaders overly concerned about their influence and standing among other elites.

But how does elite Christianity take root? How is it driving a wedge between Christians today? Can this growing rift be mended? Or is God shaking things up to refine his Church and reveal our true hearts? Importantly, what can Christian leaders do when they discover an elitist attitude within their own hearts?

Pastor Michael Clary recently took to Twitter to thoughtfully reflect on his own struggles with elitist tendencies. As he examined the faithful examples of his grandfather and great-grandfather, Pastor Clary was convicted by their obedience pastoring rural churches.

On this encore episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Pastor Clary shares insights into his recent examination of elite Christianity. He provides not only a clear picture of what is happening, but also encouraging ways leaders can step off the elitist path.

Christians across the globe confront chaos, confusionand cultures hostile to their faith. No wonder many feel overwhelmed, like rabbits chased by wolves.

But Christians have effectively stood their ground despite hostilities throughout history. Many Christians do so today, even in the harshest countries on earth. How are they able to remain faithful and confident in the face of such withering odds.

One reason Christians have been able to faithfully endure is by adopting a “hunter mindset.” Christians can regard themselves as spiritual hunters, even in circumstances that suggest they are prey.

In this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, believers are reminded that they have abundant spiritual resources at their disposal. Among the threats facing Christians today, there are also overlooked opportunities.

In this counterintuitive approach, we examine what it would mean for Christians to toggle their outlook, so they can better view the world as spiritual hunters.

Over the 2023 Christmas holiday, Christians living in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region were savagely attacked by Islamic Fulani herdsmen. This was only the latest in a string of atrocities targeting these Nigerian Christians. If you asked most government officials or media outlets, you would hear a litany of sterile explanations for this violence.

Some insist it is due to disputes over agricultural claims. Others suggest climate change is the culprit. And still others claim that competing mineral rights drive the violence.

But these are all lies. They are false narratives. Something far more sinister is afoot, and Christians around the globe need to discover what is actually going on. Only then will we be able to clearly speak out on behalf of our spiritual brothers and sisters in Nigeria.

But what is the truth behind the recurring violence against Christians in Nigeria? Zariyi Yusuf joins the ChristianEmergency Podcast to shed much-needed light on this campaign that others want shrouded in darkness. Yusuf, a Nigerian Christian from the Middle Belt, has trackedthese developments for years.

What Yusuf reveals is sobering. Simply put, there is a dedicated campaign to eliminate the Christian presence in Nigeria’s Middle Belt. Put bluntly, there is a secret war targeting Nigeria's Christians. This campaign is well-funded, well-armed and well-coordinated. It progresses relentlessly, facilitated by government inaction, global distractions and false pretenses.

Even if the world shrugs its shoulders and looks away, biblical Christians must not. We must pray for the Christians of Nigeria; advocate for them, and do all we can to help in the midst of their trials.

Christians by and large do not know Christian history. That is a lamentable fact we at the Christian Emergency Alliancestrive to address. But one aspect of Christian history that is most suppressed today is that of muscular Christianity.

Christianity during the Middle Ages was forced to confront relentless Islamic aggression. When Christians responded –in the form of the Crusades or other actions – they sacrificed much and strove to help other Christians under fire.

But this is not the history most Christians know today. Most have been discipled by revisionist history that paints thisperiod of Christian history in the worst possible light. The authors and architects of this revisionism are sometimes secular, sometimes Islamic. Fortunately, primary sources still exist to showcase what really happened.

On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Raymond Ibrahim joins the conversation to shed helpful light on this topic. Raymond is an accomplished historian and scholar of Islam. He has authored several books, including his most recent volume, Defenders of the West. Raymond borrows from that volume to connect dots between our Christian past and our present realities.

Christianity now faces a crisis of confidence. Warped versions of our history have been taught to generations, leading many to feel they have to constantly apologize for our past. The context introduced in this episode will help dispel the false narratives and revisionist history. God willing, it will help some believers regain their confidence in the Christian faith.

Just as they have throughout the history of the Church, women today are playing important roles in advancing the Gospel around the globe. Women have served in some of the most challenging places to make Christ known in spiritually dark lands. But for women who may be sensing acall to international missions, it can be tough to know what to think or how to prepare.

Emily Bennett, who served as a missionary with her husband in the Middle East, joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed some light on this important topic. Emily recognized there were books and resources available for ladies curious about foreign missions. But there was still a need for down-to-earth, approachable advice.

Emily and several other women stepped up to the plate and delivered just such a resource. Before You Go: Wisdom for Women Serving Internationally is a new book Emily has edited. It covers a range of important topics, and offers the wisdom of several women who draw from their experiences as missionaries.

Like Paul, Troy helped support himself while in ministry by identifying a need anddeveloping the skills to meet it. In Trent’s case, he launched a successful lock and key business – South Shore Lock and Key.

Side hustles provide Christians additional income, flexibility and opportunities. Small business ventures also offer unexpected spiritual insights. You may be stretched and face rejection. But you will also discover new strengths, while finding opportunities to mentor the younger believers around you and engage the lost in your midst.

Christians should not take all of this for granted. The cultural landscape is increasingly hostile. The workplace is toooften a place where Christians are targeted and pressured to compromise. That is why Christian enterprise will play a critical role in the coming days.

On October 7, 2023, the terrorist organization Hamas brazenly attacked Israel. The savagery and evil unleashed by the Islamic militants stunned not only Israelis but the entire world. The attacks came on a holiday. Civilians – including women, children and the elderly – were targeted, tortured and murdered. Many were dragged back into the Gaza Strip as hostages; their fates unknown.

How are biblical Christians to process all of this? What was it like for believers in Israel? What can Christians around theworld consider, when they contemplate the situation today in Israel and disturbing events that have unfolded globally in the following weeks? How can we as a spiritual Body pray for the traumatized and broken?

Pastor Howard Bass, who lives in southern Israel, joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to speak to these issuesand more. He describes his church’s experience that fateful morning and how they have dealt with the fallout. Other topics addressed by Pastor Bass include the fragile state of unity among Jewish and Arab Christians in the region. Healso shares how Christians around the world can shape their prayers for the situation in Israel, and also how they can prepare their own hearts for hard days ahead.

When you think of Iran, what comes to mind? Troubling thoughts and fears? That would be understandable, given recent headlines from the Middle East.

But there is an encouraging story that’s playing out in Iran. It’s about the miraculous growth of Christianity in a countrywhere it has been suppressed and persecuted.

Tat Stewart has a unique vantage point to share that story. Tat grew up in the land of Iran. He later served there as a missionary and pastor. He knows and loves itspeople. He also knows what the Church in Iran was like before the Islamist Revolution in 1979, what it went through during that turmoil, and how it persevered in the following decades. Tat had a front row seat to recent Christian history!

Tat joins the Christian Emergency Podcast toshare these valuable insights. Those lessons will help you better understand our Christian history and cross-cultural missions. They will also help you better understand the dynamics at play in the present day.

Tat recently wrote a memoir titled No Stranger: toIran, its People, and its Church. His insights are more fully captured in those pages, so you should get your hands on a copy. Listen, read and learn from this fascinating perspective; a perspective few westerners or Christians possess.

Armenian Christians are no strangers to tragedy. In the early Twentieth Century, the Armenian Genocide claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Armenian Christians at the hands of the Ottoman Turks. Today, in September 2023, Armenian Christians are again being targeted and cleansed from their ancient homeland.

Nagorno-Karabakh has been the home of Armenian Christians for over 1,700 years. But they are being systematically cleansed from these lands by Azerbaijan, who claim the region as their own. A grinding siege strangled Armenians there of food, water and electricity. Azerbaijan followed up by unleashing a lightning military assault. Today, in September 2023, forced deportationsare underway. For the region of Nagorno-Karabakh, the ethnic and religious cleansing of Armenian Christians is in full force.

Christians around the globe must raise their voices and prayers for these families and churches under fire. You may not have heard of Nagorno-Karabakh before. You may not know what exactly is going on and why. How canChristians around the world respond?

To provide helpful context and answer these questions, JoelVeldkamp of Christian Solidarity International (CSI) joins the Christian Emergency Podcast. Joel has closely tracked this situation and can quickly bring believers up to speed.

James Cha, former missionary and Christian leader, joins theChristian Emergency Podcast to unpack what this means for the Church.

The Nevius Method is a missionary approach that emphasizes these three themes, in addition to healthy theology. The method is based off the approach used by John Livingstone Nevius, a missionary to China in the 19th Century. His method made a big impact on how Christianswere discipled in China and Korea.

James suggests that this simple approach, rooted in simple obedience, would improve the health and strength of many local churches today. This is true of churches in Central Asia, Africa and even the West. Listen and learn how this could apply for missionaries overseas and also in your local fellowship.

If Christians faithfully tithe, even if they have little to offer, the effects are profound. On this episode, James shares from his personal experience to show how missionaries and Christians should consider incorporating the Nevius Method in their own settings.

Christians today are alarmed by the rising pressures around them. So much of the growing hostility seems alien, angry and novel. But the truth is, the Church has encountered pressures since it was born. None of this is new.

To help us gain our bearings, Professor Louis Markos joins the Christian Emergency Podcast. Professor Markos teaches at the Texas Christian University and is the author of 25 books, covering such topics as the early Church, ancient Rome and Greece, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and apologetics.

On this episode, Professor Markos sheds helpful light on how the early Church responded to serious persecution in their own day. How was their experience similar to ours? What can we learn from them and apply in our own lives?

We must rediscover Christian history and the history of persecution. Today’s show helps do precisely this. Armed with this important insight, the pressures we face will be placed in better context. You will be encouraged, and our circumstances will be both less mysterious and frightening.

Christians in America—even fairly young Christians—can look back over their lives and recognize something has changed. They remember former days when the culture regarded Christians in a favorable light. You were in good standing if you were perceived as a Christian. But then there was a period when it wasn’t necessarily good to be a Christian, but it wasn’t a scarlet letter either. But today, Christians in America perceive a chill in the air—the culture today is actually hostile to Christian faith and principles. What happened?

In this encore episode, Christian cultural commentator Aaron Renn joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to chart out the contours of how the American culture shifted under our feet. This episode will help you better understand these changes, and also how all Christians around the globe today find themselves in a Negative World. The pressure we face may differ in degree of severity, but we are all frowned upon by broader culture when we cling to Christ.

The wave of Christian persecution hitting Manipur, India is massive. Dozens of Christians murdered. Over 120 churchesattacked, some burned to the ground. Entire villages cleanses and home torched. Over 60,000 Christians displaced. Yet most Christians around the world haven’t heard a whisper about this violence.

For weeks, starting in early May 2023, Hindu mobs have been killing, burning and kidnapping their way through the countryside. Chaos has come for the tribal Christians of Manipur. Little information has leaked out about these atrocities. Internet and phone lines were shut down, but only in the Christian districts. Fortunately, the Christian Emergency Alliance was able to expose some of this darkness and even send help to those suffering.

Cross-cultural missions is an exciting calling. But Christians may be surprised to learn there are real problems in the missions community. The woke theology many believers have recently discovered in their midst is also being advanced overseas. These postmodern teachings arrived from our own shores through western missionaries. Biblical missionaries may find themselves shunned and shamed for holding to the ancient Gospel.

Christians preparing to launch into missions may have no clue this is going on. The pastors, missions committees and lay Christians who support these missionaries are likely in the dark too. How can churches discover exactly what is going on? How can you learn more and respond properly? How can we pray over this movement which has advanced quietly over decades?

Veteran missionary and author E.D. Burns joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed helpful daylight on this important topic. He shares thoughtful insights from his recent book, Ancient Gospel, Brave New World. Burns highlights both what is going well in today's missions efforts, and also areas for concern. But he also unpacks important lessons that will expand your understanding of theology, missions and evangelism. And if you really want to strengthen your understanding of these themes, get a copy of Burns' book: Ancient Gospel, Brave New World.

Many Christians today fear their faith may one day cost them their job. They are not sure what to do.  Should they keep their faith secret? Simply go along to get along? What would it be like if they actually got fired for following Christ?

Dr. Aaron Edwards knows a thing or two about getting fired for faithful stands. Believe it or not, he was recently fired as a Christian teacher from a Christian college for a Christian stand.

His offense: publicly speaking out about sin infiltrating the Church. This was too much for Cliff College, a school in Britain. When internet rage mobs demanded Aaron lose his job, his employer quickly capitulated.

It was difficult for Aaron, his wife, and their five children. But there was also surprising joy in faithfully standing and seeing God and fellow believers respond. His story reminds us that following Christ is high adventure, with plenty of drama but also joy.

[Encore episode from May 2022] Christians in much of the world today face pressures. Few, however, face anything as intense as those Christians who lived under the first few decades of authoritarian rule in either the Soviet Union or Communist China. At least not yet.

While freedom and opportunity still remains, Christians today would be wise to consider the experiences of Christians under the Soviets and Chinese Communists. Though both situations shared many similarities, they developed in starkly different manners. Why did they differ so much? What lessons can we glean and apply in our own situations? And what cautionary flags can we recognize and avoid?

On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Andy examines a helpful case study of the Christian experience under the Soviets and Chinese. This comparison, produced originally by Nik Ripken in his book The Insanity of Obedience, provides many helpful insights for Christians today.

On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, Pastor Clary shares insights into his recent examination of elite Christianity. He provides not only a clear picture of what is happening, but also encouraging ways leaders can step off the elitist path.

The history of Christianity in Korea is a dramatic account that is both beautiful and tragic. The experience of Korea’s early Christian converts offer many insights for believers today around the world.

James Cha, of the Crescent Project and I43 ministries, joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Listen in as he shares nearly forgotten tales of incredible faith and sacrifice. But he also explores how compromise wormed its way into the Korean Church, particularly during the Japanese occupation before World War II.

In the world today, many Christians can relate to this tale of two Koreas. They feel the pressure building around them, and also the temptation to compromise and become politically correct. This episode reveals important lessons for believers today.

If you are a Christian and do not know the name Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, it is high time you change that. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was a Russian Christian, author and survivor of the Soviet Union’s labor camps. He shocked the world through his writings, which exposed the horrors of the Communist camps. His works eviscerated lies and encouraged people to confront evil themselves.

Solzhenitsyn’s voice remains relevant for Christians today, as believers take stock of their cultural surroundings. Many of the societal ills called out by Solzhenitsyn have resurfaced in recent years around the world. An authoritarian impulse charges the air. Restrictions are ratcheting up on civil and religious liberties. How should Christians respond?

It is precisely these types of questions that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s writings can help answer. To help introduce all of this to a new generation of Christians, Ignat Solzhenitsyn – Aleksandr’s son – joins the Christian Emergency Podcast. Ignat unpacks his father’s story and reveals why his great works – like One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich and The Gulag Archipelago – are worth reading even today.

These insights have broad application for Christians preparing today for pressures tomorrow. If this conversation was helpful for you, please share it with your friends. Also give us a positive review wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

In recent months, over 70 pregnancy resource centers have been firebombed. Federal and local law enforcement authorities did not prosecute the violent attackers. Militant Pro-Life groups like Jane’s Revenge were given a pass. No arrests were made.

But the government did not just slow walk cases. They sided against the attackers’ victims. Politicians pledged to investigate the pregnancy resource centers that were still smoldering. The FBI deployed large SWAT-style teams to arrest Pro-Life Christians on bogus charges in front of their wives and children. The process appeared designed to punish; the hallmarks of an intentional harassment campaign.

All this and more has unfolded in recent months following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. That ruling overturned Roe v. Wade and returned abortion policy decisions to the states. Powerful elites, along with the multibillion-dollar abortion industry, raged in response.

What should Christians do when they are targeted for peacefully championing Life? Or simply being faithful in increasingly faithless cultures? How can Christians navigate the intimidation and pressures coming their way? How might God be moving in the midst of this darkness?

Reverend Jim Harden joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to share insights from his own experience. The CEO of CompassCare, Jim oversees pregnancy centers in New York. One of their pregnancy centers was firebombed by Pro-Abortion extremists. You will gain valuable insights from his perspective.

These insights have broad application for Christians preparing themselves today for more pressures tomorrow. If this conversation was helpful for you, please share it with your friends. Also give us a positive review wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Africa remains important for the Church. In the coming generations, the continent will be home for a huge swath of the world’s population. And while there are many challenges facing Africa, including poverty, militant Islam and instability – there are also many exciting things taking place.

Karen Elliott of the Rafiki Foundation joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to share about some of those exciting developments, along with valuable context. She leans on her 30+ years of experience serving as a missionary and leading a missions organization in Africa, the Rafiki Foundation.

Karen discusses how Rafiki has launched classical Christian schools in multiple African nations, to bless orphans and the poor with an education that allows them to think and serve faithfully. The lessons she draws out shed helpful light on the situation in Africa, but also speak to circumstances facing the Church globally.

For years, the Perspectives Course has been a go-to training option for Christians eager to learn about cross-cultural missions. Thousands have been blessed by the insight delivered through the course and its training text, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. Pastors, missions committees, future missionaries and even regular Christians hoping to learn more about God’s heart for the peoples have benefitted.

And while much of Perspectives is wonderful, you should be cautious about certain teachings embedded in the course. So warns Josh Manley, a pastor serving in the United Arab Emirates. Josh joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to highlight his concerns, particularly with Perspective’s favorable treatment of Church Planting Movements.

Church Planting Movements, or CPM, sound amazing. But as Josh points out, CPM is a specific methodology that, when looked at closely, may have problems. Is CPM more biblical or pragmatic? What do Christians taking the Perspectives Course need to consider? Listen in and learn as Josh unpacks this important issue, which has already made a profound impact on missions and the Church.

Almost one year ago the world watched in horror as Afghanistan rapidly collapsed and the Taliban returned to power. Chaos engulfed the nation. Many would suffer tremendously under the country’s Islamist warlords, but few more seriously than the country’s Afghan Christians.

Today, little news emerges at all from Afghanistan. Even less is known about the country’s believers. How did they respond when everything collapsed? How are they faring today? How can they be helped and how can the global church pray for them?

The world’s attention may have moved on from Afghanistan. But wherever Christians are persecuted and suffering, there must the eyes of the Church remain. God is still on the move in Afghanistan.

To provide a rare and current window into the plight of Christians inside Afghanistan, “Luke” returns to the Christian Emergency Podcast. Luke provides helpful insight into the plight of Afghan Christians today, whether they are inside Afghanistan, stuck in a refugee camp or freshly arrived in new lands. He also provides clear guidance on how you can tailor your prayers and even help those who remain in harm’s way.

Christian cultural commentator Aaron Renn joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to chart out the contours of how the American culture shifted under our feet. This episode will help you better understand these changes, and also how all Christians around the globe today find themselves in a Negative World. The pressure we face may differ in degree of severity, but we are all frowned upon by broader culture when we cling to Christ.

Christianity has exploded inside Iran over recent decades. But that growth has been met by a severe response from the Islamic regime. What is it like to be a Christian in Iran? How does the Gospel of Jesus Christ continue to be proclaimed when the persecution climate is so intense?

Mansour Borji, of Article 18, joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to answer these questions and more. Mansour grew up in Iran as an unbeliever, but after hearing the Gospel he gave his life to Christ. As a young Christian under a hostile government, Mansour saw the fallout of persecution decades ago. Since that time, he has sought to train up and champion Christians inside Iran.

You probably have never heard about Insider Bible translations. Don’t worry. Few Christians, pastors or church mission committees have. But it’s past time we learn about them and the risks they pose.

Insider Bible translations remove or change Scriptural terms in an attempt to make them more attractive to the Lost. These well-intentioned efforts have quietly spread into several mission contexts. But is it proper? How are Christians to make sense of what can be an intimidating, technical issue?

Fortunately, help has arrived. The Arlington Statement on Bible Translation was published and provides a simple framework to draw clarity from the confusion.

On this week’s Christian Emergency Podcast, Andy Coleman dives into these important issues with two amazing guests from Horizons International: Pierre Houssney, their executive director, and Seth Vitrano-Wilson, their director of biblical translations.

First aired in 2020, this encore episode remains relevant for Christians in 2022.

Confused by the rising hostility around you? Surprised by the darkening culture you face? For biblical Christians, the world looks increasingly strange, alien – even unknown. This encore episode remains as relevant today as it did when it first aired in early 2021.

How are Christians to find their bearings and navigate the unknown? “Joe” joins Andy for this week’s episode, to share some thoughts from his own personal journey.

Learn how Joe stepped out of his Midwest roots and into the unknown urban jungle of New York City. That ministry experience prepared him to step into the unknown again, this time as the sole missionary on an unreached island of Indonesia. And later, Joe found himself stepping into the unknown once again to serve persecuted Christians throughout the Middle East.

How did God help Joe take those first steps? What challenges stood in his way? And what lessons did Joe learn that you can adopt and apply as you step into the unknown yourself? Tune in to this week’s episode to find out.

Biblical Christians had their heads spinning in recent weeks if they even glanced at the news. In Canada, a democratic country seemed to collapse, with civil liberties disappearing. In response to the Truckers Convoy – a peaceful protest aimed at ending entrenched mandates in Canada – the government didn't relent. It doubled down. The Emergency Powers Act was invoked and martial law ruled the day. Police violently suppressed the protests. Dissenting citizens had their bank accounts frozen, civil liberties suspended, and ability to travel curtailed.

How should the Church respond? Pastor Steve Richardson, a Canadian pastor, was at the peaceful protests, and ultimately on the business end of police batons. He joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to discuss what he observed and how Christians should respond to similar pressures. You will also learn about a statement written and published by Canadian pastors in response to the government's authoritarian measures.

Across the church, there is a rift between theology and missions. Bad theology produces bad missions, and bad missions fuels bad theology.

We wrongly think that we must choose between making a global impact and thinking deeply about the things of God. But the relationship between theology and missions is symbiotic—one cannot exist without the other. They walk hand-in-hand.

Alex Kocman and Chad Vegas join the Christian Emergency Alliance to unpack these ideas for pastors, regular Christians and even missionaries themselves. Together they help demystify the world of missions, and empower believers to discern what is healthy and what is not. You will learn about popular mission strategies like Insider Movements, Church Planting Movements (CPM), and Disciple Making Movements (DMM).

But how do these strategies bear up under biblical scrutiny? And how does the Bible speak to how we should advance the Gospel in different cultures. Check out this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to find out.

Many Christians today recognize that all is not well. There are problems in our communities, our culture and even our churches. But what can biblical Christians do in the face of these challenges?

Douglas Wilson - pastor, theologian, author, serial ministry founder and cultural commentator - joins the Christian Emergency Alliance to answer these questions and more. He shares his thoughts on the most pressing needs for Christians today, and offers sage advice on how to begin thinking holistically. The ability to think in wholes, not parts, is what allows him to often spot trends before others perceive them. He opens up about how you can develop your own capacity for worldview thinking, so you can do the same.

What does Pastor Wilson think is on the horizon for Christians? How will this affect the type of pressures or persecutions Christians can anticipate? What traps lie on the path for biblical Christians, and how can we avoid falling into them? Listen in to this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to find out.

Faith Cha’s mother and grandmother fled North Korea for their lives. Miraculously, they survived the violence when many around them did not. Not only did they survive, but God crossed their paths with Christians who helped them.

These believers—normal people of no renown—played huge roles in the lives of these women by small acts of kindness and grace. These blessings not only helped these women fleeing North Korea, but also the next generation. Faith herself was richly blessed by kind Christians who loved and encouraged her as a refugee kid, confused in a strange, new country.

Through this journey and divine interactions, a spiritual legacy was born. In time, Faith and her husband carried forth that spiritual legacy in surprising, but fitting, ways. They crossed the globe to make Christ known to Muslims in Central Asia. And today they help others minister to refugees, just as others once helped her frightened mom and grandma.

Be encouraged. This testimony reminds us that even our smallest acts of kindness can make powerful impacts in the lives of others. God can use them to transform lives, families, communities and even generations.

What is God doing among the tribal people of South Asia? How can you be faithful when things are going wrong? How can you take steps of faith when life already has hardships? What are Christians to do when times are tough?

Brother “Kanal,” an indigenous Christian working in South Asia, joins Andy on the Christian Emergency Podcast to answer these and other questions. You will learn how God allowed him to do ministry in frontier regions despite huge trials in his life.

Today, Kanal migrates across multiple international borders in South Asia to minister among various tribes and ethnic groups. His work can be dangerous and comes with risks. But he is able to do what he does today because of the trials God helped him overcome yesterday.

Those previous trials were harsh. In fact, his trials were far more intense than those most Christians will ever face. Having lost his parents early in life, he grew up in an orphanage. Terrorists burned his village and murdered his brothers. He has himself been savagely attacked and left for dead and held in an overcrowded jungle prison. At time, Kanal was tempted to despair.

But he persevered. And so can you, regardless of the trials you face today or tomorrow. Find out on this episode what strengthened him spiritually to overcome these massive challenges, and find joy in Christ despite deep darkness.

Digital security is an important consideration for Christian missionaries working in closed and hostile countries. Their actions are closely monitored. Unwise decisions can lead to serious consequences for them, or as is more often the case, the indigenous Christians they minister to.

“Dan” joins this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed light on this important topic. Trained in cyber security and with relevant experience under his belt, Dan helps train missionaries on digital security and how to properly use technology.

But Dan also grew up in Communist Romania. His dad endured persecution and illegally smuggled Bibles under the authoritarian regime. Dan is no stranger to the dark side of hard totalitarianism and surveillance states.

The insight offered by Dan is not only helpful to Christians in difficult countries today, but to all Christians. Across western nations, there are warnings of a growing “soft totalitarianism.” This emerging pressure is driven not just by governments, but corporate elites who frown upon biblical values.

In 1979, instability, violence and chaos reigned in the streets of Iran. Revolution followed and swept a new government to power—a government that was no fan of the Christian faith.

Things looked bleak for the Iranian Church. Iranian believers found themselves under increasing pressure just as western missionaries were being kicked out of the country. Many concluded the few Christians left in the country’s “baby church” were doomed.

But in a surprising twist, God turned the tables on the anti-Christian revolutionaries. Instead of shriveling on the vine, the local church blossomed under pressure. But how? Find out by tuning in to this week’s episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast.

Tat Stewart joins Andy Coleman to share what he witnessed as a missionary in Tehran in 1979. Learn from his fascinating background and a firsthand account you likely won’t hear elsewhere.

And if you are a believer concerned by the growing anti-Christian culture around you today, take courage from Tat’s account. Christians – even if small in number and vulnerable – truly can stand when troubles come.

Have you seen frightening footage coming out of Australia? Many of us have. Massive protests, unyielding government policies and heavy-handed measures have both shocked and saddened many.

But what have you heard about the Christians of Australia? What are they going through? How can their situation inform your own, and how can you be a blessing to them?

Australia’s Christians are going on nearly two years of rolling church closures. Their churches were shuttered as “non-essential,” while brothels continued their “essential” trade. Now, mandates are forcing churches to segregate their congregations. When some pastors and regular Christians finally had enough, they resisted these measures. Sadly, many of Australia’s institutional and popular church leaders rose not to their defense, but to counter them.

What are we to make of this situation? Evelyn Rae – writer, commentator and Australian Christian – joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to arm you with helpful insight. Listen as Evelyn draws clarity out of an otherwise confusing situation.

In many countries today, “privilege” has become a loaded term. But in the midst of a dying world, those saved by the Gospel truly are privileged. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform our lives, communities and eternal futures. But Gospel Privilege also requires us to walk a road of sacrifice, suffering and faith. What does that look like for you?

David Joannes, a missionary in Southeast Asia, joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast to unpack this concept of Gospel Privilege. David has served for over 20 years in southeast Asia and is passionate to see unreached people groups gain access to the Gospel.

David borrows from his experiences - such as smuggling Bibles in China, being interrogated, or serving in conflict zones - to help us understand how we can live joyful, faithful lives despite challenges. He threads history, theology and missions together to help us better understand our task. This context and insight will help you rise to your calling to live Gospel-privileged lives.

The history of Christianity in Korea is a dramatic account, both beautiful and tragic. The experience of Korea’s early Christian converts offer many insights for believers today around the world.

James Cha, of the Crescent Project and I43 ministries, joins Andy on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Listen as he shares nearly forgotten tales of incredible faith and sacrifice. But he also explores how compromise wormed its way into the Korean Church, particularly during the Japanese occupation before World War II. The consequences of compromise proved devastating. But even in the darkest of days, we see that redemption is possible.

In the world today, many Christians can relate to this tale of two Koreas. They feel the pressure building around them, and also the temptation to compromise and become politically correct. This episode provides timely context for believers to prayerfully process. May this history of Korean Christianity help the Global Church today stand.

Christians around the world have much to learn from one another. On this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast, we look at recent developments in three different regions.

First we train our eyes on America. There, in Portland, Oregon, Antifa militants violently attacked and silenced an outdoor prayer and worship gathering.

In Northern Nigeria, we discover alarming – and astonishing – details of what some are describing as a possible Christian genocide.

And in China, alarms are being raised about a massive new wave of persecution for the nation’s house churches.

How can we tailor our prayer to support believers caught in these trials? What lessons can be gleaned from these different regions that seem to be so different? And how can you do anything in the midst of all this? Listen in and find out.

Pastor Tim Stephens of Canada has already been jailed once. And now his wife and children have had to see him arrested a second time.

This may well be the first time a Canadian pastor has ever – in all of history – been arrested for holding an underground church gathering. Local authorities already confiscated his church building. So the congregants worshipped elsewhere.

But on June 6, 2021, the gathering was spotted by a police helicopter. A few minutes later, police vehicles arrived as well. The outdoor church gathering would ultimately land Pastor Tim behind bars.

What exactly happened in this case? What lessons can believers around the world learn from Pastor Tim’s circumstances? And how can we be a blessing to the Stephens’ family? Find out on this episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast.

Digital security is an important consideration for Christian missionaries working in closed and hostile countries. Their actions are closely monitored. Unwise decisions can lead to serious consequences for them, or as is more often the case, the indigenous people they minister to.

Christians would be wise to consider all of this today, in light of what tomorrow may bring.

Nini’s Deli was a landmark restaurant of Chicago – arguably the best in the city. But when the “Summer of Love” arrived in 2020, Black Lives Matter activists made it clear that local businesses had to support their cause – or else.

Juan Riesco helped run Nini’s Deli, along with his family. He faced these demands and a growing chorus of social media intimidation. Grounded in his Christian faith, he knew that all lives mattered; all people were made in the image of God. But that same faith resisted the pressure campaign to support BLM and its anti-Christian agenda.

So Juan and his family took a stand and refused to cave. That decision came with a steep price tag. They lost their business and their property was trashed. The Riescos received multiple death threats and had to flee the city for their lives.

But in the midst of so much loss, there was joy and hope. Listen to this podcast to hear how God moved through Juan, his family, and his church to make an impact stretching far beyond Chicago. And listen all the way to the end for a surprising announcement.

As the two young pastors were being arrested, their congregation broke out into song, praising God with the hymn “A Mighty Fortress is our God.” This scene played out on April 11, 2021 just outside Helsinki, Finland.

The pastors, Tommi Matikka and Tuomas Toppila, knew they could one day find themselves in trouble due to their faith. But they were still surprised to see authorities shut down their worship service and haul them off to jail. Tommi and Tuomas had complied with all regulations and all their permits were in order. They violated no law or ordinance.

The arrest shocked not only them, but also their congregants, wives and frightened children. It also shocked the citizens of Finland, many of whom are now paying close attention to these Finnish pastors—and the source of their hope. Many unbelievers in Finland are hearing the Gospel for the first time. God is moving in that country.

On this podcast, learn more about these Finnish pastors and their disorienting experiences. If you are thinking how you too could stand under pressure, this insight will help you pray, process and prepare.

In April 2021, a video out of Canada emerged showing a pastor defiantly ejecting police from his church. The video went viral. Pastor Artur Pawlowski was not going to let local authorities intimidate and harass his congregants, especially during Holy Week worship services. The wolves had moved in on a flock guarded by a shepherd, and the shepherd growled back.

Pastor Pawlowski knows a thing or two about pressure from government. He grew up in Communist Poland during the Soviet occupation. His family had suffered first under the authoritarian thumbs of Nazis, and later the Communists. In this episode, Pastor Pawlowski describes disturbing parallels between what he is seeing in Canada, and what he saw ravage his home country.

But Pastor Pawlowski’s perspective, though direct, offers much encouragement. He shares how pastors can develop one voice for their flock and another for the wolves. Listen in - and share with others - as he outlines how all Christians can boldly stand, even when pressures rise.

It’s only natural for some believers to conclude that it’s time to throw in the towel. They see spiritual darkness saturating the culture around them and things are grim. Maybe it’s head-for-the-hills time.

But is that our calling as Christians? If it’s not time for us to retreat, how are we to respond? On this episode, Andy discusses how believers can counter the flight impulse by keeping their eyes up: on God, fellow believers around the world, and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

During a brief roundup of news affecting the Church, Andy touches on several current events. These include the plight of Pastor James Coates and GraceLife Church in Canada, persecution in China, the murder of a missionary in Mali, and struggles shouldered by believers in Myanmar. Finally, we explore some simple steps we can take to inflict damage on the Enemy, and advance – not retreat – in our present spiritual fight.

Believers today need to rediscover their Christian history, as well as lessons learned from their persecuted spiritual family. Such context provides critical help for Christians to process the pressures building day by day. And today’s episode provides help in both ways.

“Johannes” grew up under Communism as a Christian in East Germany. As a kid, he faced ostracism and limited opportunities. These pressures followed him into adulthood. He refused to compromise his conscience or “go along to get along.” Instead he stood for what he believed in. But these actions came at a price. And it was not him alone who had to paid it. It also affected his wife and his kids.

What was life like in East Germany before the Iron Curtain fell? What helped Johannes through the challenges of living faithfully under an anti-Christian, authoritarian regime? And how do you go to a church infiltrated with spies reporting on believers? Listen in and find out on today’s episode of the Christian Emergency Podcast. Gruβ Gott!

Christians today need to be ready to stand up for biblical Truth, even when it’s not popular. But what does a Christian do when that faithfulness ignites a reaction so fierce, that some call from them to be fired?

Dr. Christina Crenshaw, a professor at Baylor University, recently went through precisely such a trial. Perhaps you saw the headlines. A student-led rage mob not only slandered her but demanded that she be fired. Her crime? Sharing reasonable concerns about recent policy changes – concerns informed by her Christian worldview.

Was she surprised to see Cancel Culture arise like this on a Christian campus? Yes. But did she buckle? No. Tune in to hear how Dr. Crenshaw graciously confronted those seeking to silence her, and how her faith and friends carried her.

Suffering is a reality all Christians are called to. That’s true whether you are a believer in Baghdad, Beijing or Boston.

But too often we as Christians are poorly prepared for suffering. We haven’t given this important topic enough thought. As a result, when hardships hit we can easily be blindsided.

On this episode, pastor and author Chris Wall joins us to help sharpen our biblical understanding of suffering. We must develop a theology of suffering to help us prepare for future pressures coming against the Church.

Learn from Chris’ unique experiences coming face-to-face with suffering. Even though there were some technical difficulties during this recording, hang around till the end. You’ll be glad you did.

Confused by the rising hostility around you? Surprised by the darkening culture you face? For biblical Christians at the start of 2021, the world looks increasingly strange, alien – even unknown.

Afghanistan is one of the harshest countries on earth for Christians. Yet in that nation, some Afghans have counted the cost and chosen to follow Jesus Christ.

“Luke” is one of those believers. In fact, since coming to faith many years ago, he has become a respected leader among Afghanistan’s house church movement.

On this week’s Christian Emergency Podcast, Andy Coleman speaks with Luke about his experience coming to faith in Afghanistan and the price he paid for not keeping his faith quiet. Luke lost employment, was arrested, imprisoned and threatened with death on several occasions. But today, Luke remains busy about the Kingdom and works to make the name of Christ famous in Afghanistan.

Learn how Luke stood for Christ, and how he saw God use his obedience to grow the church in a difficult land. The demands placed on Luke were indeed extreme. Yet you may find they resemble pressures you encounter in your own life, wherever you live. Consider his example and how you can apply the lessons he learned in your own walk.

Pastors who refuse to compromise biblical truth or bend their knee to political correctness will pay a price. On this week’s Christian Emergency Podcast, Andy Coleman introduces you to one such pastor who is now paying a price: Olaf Latzel of St. Martin’s Church in Bremen Germany.

For years, Pastor Latzel has been attacked by the media, hounded by local authorities, and even denounced by officials with the official state church. Why? Because he consistently upheld biblical truths despite cultural pressures to abandon them. Now he finds himself the target of a lawsuit and may even lose his job.

What is going on in Germany and how does this affect Christians elsewhere? How can pastors, or even ordinary Christians, prepare to stand if they are called to compromise? Tune in this week to hear these and other questions addressed.

You probably never heard about Insider Bible translations. Don’t worry. Few Christians, pastors or church mission committees have. But it’s past time we learn about them and the risks they pose.

Insider Bible translations remove or change Scriptural terms in an attempt to make them more attractive, or less offensive, to the Lost. These well-intentioned efforts have quietly spread into several missional contexts. But is it proper? How are Christians to make sense of what can be an intimidating, technical issue?

Fortunately, help has arrived. The Arlington Statement on Bible Translation was recently published and provides a simple framework to draw clarity from the confusion.

On this week’s Christian Emergency Podcast, Andy Coleman dives into these important issues with two amazing guests from Horizons International: Pierre Houssney, their executive director, and Seth Vitrano-Wilson, their director of biblical translations.

"John," a Christian worker born and raised in Syria, returns to the Christian Emergency Podcast to offer insights from this chaotic period. Together with Andy Coleman, they look at what Christians can expect in the coming days, thoughtful ways we can respond, and spiritual opportunities to look for.
