As followers of Christ we are called into action in this world. We are called and sent out into the vineyard to share Christ's love and follow God into places of injustice.
What immediately comes to mind when you hear the word "grace." We use this word quite often, particularly as Lutherans. Have you experienced grace? Do you give grace to others?
Jesus emphasizes the enormous impact forgiveness has on our relationships. Both God's forgiveness of us and our forgiveness of our brothers and sisters.
It can be hard to do the right thing. Sometimes following Jesus means doing the right thing, which can be the hard thing. But doing the hard thing can repair a broken relationship.
Sometimes we lose our way. Sometimes it's hard to follow the truth about God because we want life on our terms.
The message for you today is that God has given each of us gifts and calls us to confess that Jesus is the son of the living God and share those gifts so that others are blessed.
How are you handling your fears?
We all have them. Sometimes we don’t want to admit it. Sometimes our fears are so overwhelming that our life loses focus and we feel that God is very far away.
Have you ever been shown mercy? Mercy is not something we typically talk about in our daily conversations but we see it very clearly in today's gospel text.
I have a question for you. Are you living out of scarcity or plenty?
