The Patricia Arquette-led dramedy High Desert has been cancelled after just one season at Apple TV+
Single Drunk Female, The Watchful Eye cancelled at Freeform and leaving Hulu.
MGM+ has renewed the sci-fi horror series From for a third season, and Season 3 is slated to debut next year.
Emmy winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story) is set for a key recurring role on the upcoming sixth season of Showtime’s The Chi, from 20th Television.
Whitfield will play Alicia, an intimidating, old-money matriarch who will spare no expense to get what she wants.
The 10-episode 3rd Season of The Morning Show starts with 2 Episodes on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
Paramount+ UK is producing The Serial Killer's Wife - Set in an idyllic English town, the story follows Beth Fairchild (Annabel Scholey) whose surprise birthday party for her husband Tom (Jack Farthing) is interrupted by the police who arrest him for murder. Beth believes her husband is innocent, but soon makes shocking discoveries that cast doubt on his innocence.
Gillian Anderson (The Crown, Sex Education) will star in Netflix’s The Abandons, the action drama series set in the West from Kurt Sutter (Mayans M.C., Sons of Anarchy) via his SutterInk banner. The X-Files alum was cast in the role prior to the start of the writers strike.
Anderson will play Constance, the matriarch of the wealthy Van Ness family who inherited her husband’s mining fortune, then doubled it. Despite the town’s inherent bias against women, her money, charm and ruthlessness created a network of political allies. For her, power, wealth and lineage trump all.
Rose Byrne stars and executive produces the highly acclaimed dramedy Physical, which will conclude its run with its upcoming third season consisting of 10 episodes. The season is set to premiere on August 2nd and will serve as the final chapter of the half-hour series.
Hulu is moving forward with the highly-anticipated second season of Nine Perfect Strangers, based on Liane Moriarty's book. Nicole Kidman is returning to executive produce and star, with Liv Ullman, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Aras Aydin set to star alongside her. The show follows nine stressed city dwellers who try to get on a path to a better way of living with a 10-day stay at a boutique wellness resort run by Masha (Kidman). Season 1 was a huge success, with Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto also starring. Season 2 is set to take place in the Swiss Alps.
Lisa Rinna, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is set to appear in an episode of the upcoming third season of American Horror Stories, the horror anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
Paramount+ has announced that its hit original YA drama series SCHOOL SPIRITS where the extremely talented cast brought audiences a fresh take on high school – both in the present and in the after-life was renewed for a second season.

The psychological thriller series based on the novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes invites viewers into Joe’s grossly perturbed mind as a blue-collar worker by day and serial killer by night. Being a romanticist at heart, Joe frequently falls in love with women he meets, but to a point of violent, often deadly, obsession.
Along with returning actors Penn Badgley, Tati Gabrielle, Charlotte Ritchie and Lukas Gage, new additions to the cast include Amy Leigh Hickman, Tilly Keeper, Ed Speleers, Sean Pertwee, Stephen Hagan, Adam James, Ben Wiggins, Allison Pargeter, Eve Austin, Dario Coates and Ozioma Whenu.
Posing as a literature professor named Jonathan Moore at a London university, Joe is surprised to find he enjoys teaching, despite being surrounded by egocentric socialites. We are stunned, shocked, bewildered to learn of the following:
Manifest (NBC)
Will not be renewed for a fourth Season. Looks like the show's real death date was June 11 2021. We are left with a cliffhanger ending to Season three and lots of questions. We supposed Saanvi getting away with murdering The Major and the show's sudden swing towards religious themes in the last few episodes, were a bit too much for the target demographic. Expect to see Manifest pop up on a streaming platform (like Peacock...?) soon. Either that or endless re-runs on NBC at 1am.
The Blacklist (NBC)
Meghan Boone (Elizabeth Keane) will exit the show after the Season 8 finale episode on June 23.Maybe her doppleganger will get the role permanently.
Clarice (CBS)
Reportedly heading for Paramount+ is still undecided, and so sadly Clarice will fail to continue on CBS as the broadcast network has already committed to a full slate of series for next season.
Fox updates
4 new dramas. 2 new comedies and more coming mid season.
Shortly after, the announcement was made that NBC had cancelled the show.
Here's some trivia about the show's characters to keep us from losing our minds over the cancellation of the show while it was soaring high in the viewing charts, despite being 'on the bubble' for a few weeks. Netflix couldn't snap this up, and it's not going to be streaming new episodes on Peacock or anywhere soon.
Reno Wilson voiced Autobots and Decepticons in each of Michael Bay's Transformers movies.
Ruby Hill always drinks from the same coffee cup. That cup has the words "Aunt Ruby" painted on it. Beth Boland always drinks from the coffee cup that says "I'd Rather Be Crafting", which is also the name of the first episode of season 2.
Mae Whitman appeared in Independence Day as the daughter to Bill Pullman's President of the United States.

In 1991 in South Jamaica, Queens, 15-year-old Kanan Stark is eager to join his family's growing drug business that is led by his mother, Raquel Raq Thomas.
Raising Kanan will focus on Kanan's story during his late teenage years, just as he was getting interested in the drug trade. Raq (Patina Miller) wasn't keen on him being involved, so their close relationship is put to the test.
