This page is for the students of Mr. Buffington's history classes. There will be numerous topics uploaded for the enrichment of our study of history.
This podcast is a list and explanation of the categories contained in the PSSA writing rubric. In it, I attempt to explain in detail the specific categories in which each student will be graded. I also offer some helpful hints to avoid certain bad writing practices. Many students are given a copy of this rubric to review weeks before the test. However, the language in the published rubric is clearly intended for educators. Students (especially younger) cannot be expected to understand the terminology, unless it id explained to them in better detail. This recording will serve as a translator for my 7th grade students.
This is a recital of the Gettysburg Address with battle sounds and background music. The intent of this recording is for my students to use while practicing for their own in-class recitals.
