As a small child, I can fondly remember the trepidation and terror I felt when peering through the pages of Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World book that my parents had bought from a book club. The thing I remember the most is the old picture of the Loch Ness Monster called " The Surgeons photo". Now and again I take another look at this to awaken those memories once more.

Kindness comes in many forms. My friend Jay Arnold from the Veteran Wargamers podcast recently sent me a book he picked up on a recent visit to the Lone Star State of Texas.
