In Exodus 34, after spending 40 days and 40 nights on Mount Sinai with God, Moses descends with the residue of God's glory visible on his face.
Nowadays, everyone claims they are called. Most desire to be called because they seek fame, fortune, and prominence. What if your call wasn't towards popularity but obscurity? Could you still serve the Lord? Hebrews 11:35-40 tackles this subject and provides us with reasons as to why this call is doable.
In 1 Cor 6, Paul writes of letter of condemnation to individuals in conflict within the congregation. The church was filled with messy people who are confronting one another about their shady behavior. They even wanted to take one another to court. Paul responds by reminding them that they were all sinners at one point and that if they believed they weren't, they're deceiving themselves (conman).
In Luke 19, Jesus is requested to rebuke his followers and to tell them to keep silent. He responds, "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." On tonight, Pastor Lee poses a serious question. If the stones could talk, what would they say about your faith?
All individuals have talents, things they have natural aptitude and skill in. However, individuals often times do not utilize their talents. You may not feel as if your “talent” is particularly great, but it may be better than you think! And with persistence, most skills can be improved. Besides, you may as well have no ability at all if you sit on whatever talent you possess.
Dr.Seuss once said, "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" In Exodus 3, Moses stumbles across something that garners his undivided attention. Since the bush is a picture of you and I, it's imperative to discover what makes us different than others that exist in this world.
