Sunday igbo prayer with Pamela is a weekly Post. I will share a bible verse and also say a prayer predominantly in the igbo dialect and also a bit in English. The post is to remind us that there is strength in Community!
So the year 2022 did not start well for me. The burden of being the first crept in on me. My Dad was ill and needed to do a bypass surgery as he had growth in his colon and liver. I had to take permission from work to fly back to Nigeria from the UK where I live. I had my backbones my Husband, my cell members(Sis Maggie, Sis Zuzanna and Sis Ifeoma) who constantly prayed with and for me, prayed for my dad and financially supported me when I needed to raise some money for my dad's Chemo. I am eternally grateful to them. Please be patient and listen to my story and say 🙏 Amen to my prayers to God. Be 🙌 blessed.
Please personalize psalms 1 verse 3. You are like a tree planted by rivers of water. You will give your fruit in its season. Your leaves will not fall or wither. Everything you do will be very good. Amen
Please read psalms 140 every day and night, there are people who set snares for others who gather at round tables to discuss others etc. Just know as a child of God who believes you are protected under the shadow of God's wings.
Today's story is about physical strength that may fail us. However, we need to call on God the giver of life, the maker of the earth to give us strength to run our race on earth and to fulfil our purpose. At the end of our journey on earth we will be welcomed by God to seat at his right hand.
Proverbs chapter 16 verse 3 asks us to commit our plans and our thought to God and watch is be established and watch it succeed. Remember God first in all our dealings. Remain blessed 😘
When faced with disappointments, challenges adversity, do not forget to cast them unto God for rest. Do not forget that we can also hold God accountable to his words and promises.
I have been opportuned to care for the sick and I can say that I have shared in their pain and suffering. As we were instructed to visit the sick in the Bible, we are unable to due to the current pandemic and lock down, what we have to do as a community is to pray for one another most especially the sick. I have shared bible verses that will keep us going through the week and also a prayer to encourage us with our faith.
Today's episode centres on who and what God is to us. The Bible verse is taken from Psalm 46 verse 1. This verse is a reminder to us all that God is never far away from us. He is in us, he is our refuge and strength and whenever we are in trouble we should always call on him and he will answer. Enjoy the Igbo worship and don't forget I love you all. The Lyrics to the worship is; I will join the angels to give you praise, I will join the angels to worship you. Rivers roll in your praise Father. Grasses in the Bush are waving unto you in praise. People that live on the earth kneel down to glorify you. They all say thank you thank thank you.
