We made it to our 10th episode, and it’s our final episode of our first season. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re so glad you have made it this far with us. In this episode, we go meta and talk about the anxieties of starting and making a podcast, including how much we hate hearing our own voices (according to science, this is apparently normal?). Join us as we wrap up the season and maybe toot our own horn a little bit for making it this far. Thank you so much for listening and we’ll see you in the next season!
Did you know that 'social physique anxiety' was a term, because we didn't! In this week's episode we discuss our anxieties around body image, eating well and exercising. We know, we know...3 millennial women with body image issues? Shocking! While we have a lot to say on the topic, we also want to reiterate that we are not professionals in this field, we're simply sharing our own experiences in the hopes that our listeners can relate. Join us as we dive into our journeys with body image, and find out how or if we've grown to love our bodies over the years.
In our 8th episode, we discuss our anxieties around global warming and climate change. We dive into our experiences with recycling and composting, and generally trying to be environmentally conscious humans. Join us as we recount that dreaded moment when you realize you forgot your reusable grocery bags at home, and find out that "wishcycling" is a thing and has nothing to do with working out. After this episode, you'll definitely want to hug a tree..or your emotion support water bottle.
Would this really be a podcast about anxiety if we didn't discuss imposter syndrome? This week, we talk about the imposter that is imposter syndrome. Most of us experience imposter syndrome and the anxiety it brings on at some point in our lives, but we don't ask ourselves why, so we're here to answer those questions. Join us as we dive into our experiences with imposter syndrome, find out what kind of imposters we are, and discuss if imposter syndrome really is BS.
It's part two of our little money series! This time we're talking about all the little anxieties we have about future planning and managing your money. Why didn’t they teach money planning in school? Will we ever be able to afford a house? Can we recover from past habits? Join us as we get deep into our financial habits as millennials.
This week, we have part one of a two part discussion about money. In this first part, we talk about all the unnecessary purchases we make, whether it's jackets, sweaters, or shackets. Especially during a panna cotta where our spending might have gotten a little bit out of control, since our credits cards are saved in our browsers. Join us as we talk about the anxiety brought on by our credit card bills.
Feedback. That dreaded word. We know it helps you be better, and grow, blah blah blah but does it have to be so anxiety-inducing? And it's not just receiving feedback (whether it's positive or negative) that can make us spiral, but even giving feedback can turn into a whole event. In our fourth episode, we talk about all kinds of feedback whether it's at work or at home, and what we can do to make it easier.
In our third episode, we discuss our anxieties about how much time we're spending in front of screens. Between our phones, our computers, and our TV screens, it seems like a lot of screen time. Are we addicted to our screens? How much screen time is too much screen time? Join us as we dive into the juicy details of our screen time metrics, expose our main offender apps and discuss the ways in which we've been trying to keep our screen time in check.
It’s our second episode: this time we are talking about our anxieties around the wintertime sadness and wondering if we’re really just lazy or maybe there something bigger going on. We talk about daylight savings, seasonal affective disorder, and our complete lack of motivation during these cold, dark months. If you’ve been feeling sad, moody, and unmotivated lately, you’re not alone. Join us as we get into our little anxieties about our lack of productivity and inability to focus (forewarned: we get into some tangents in this one).
In our first episode, we discuss a topic that's on everyone's minds - the pandemic. We ask the burning questions - Were we always this awkward? What does being social look like in a post-pandemic world? Can people tell that I'm smiling underneath my mask? Join us as we dive into our anxious thoughts about socializing in pandemic world. Spoiler: Yes, we've always been this awkward.
