Is your network increasing your net worth amiga?

We’ve all heard ur mamas say “Dime con quien andas y te dire quien eres” and this is SO real.

The truth is the people around us influence us so much and are either holding us back or pushing us forward.

My comunidad has impacted me SO much in the last few months. Thanks to them I have reached milestones, met so many incredible people and yes, you guessed it, increased my net worth.

In this episode I share 3 tips on how to build a network that will increase net worth:

Tip #1: Make a list of the 10 people you hang out with the most and answer this question with a simple yes or no. Does this person help me get closer to my goals?

Tip#2: Some of you are not going to like this one.Do not gossip. Do not welcome those people that just want to gossip.

Tip #3: Join a program like Mujerón University! I can’t stress how much joining a community of likeminded people can elevate you.

This Saturday I am hosting a FREE masterclass where one of the topics will be about how to build a loyal community so if today’s episode resonated with you make sure you sign up. I will be sharing a special announcement during this masterclass as well so I can’t wait to see you there. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

On this week's podcast episode I shared a framework that completely changed my life. I was introduced to this back in 2019 by one of my mentors, and it has stuck with me since then.

I'm talking about living in your zone of genius. The Zone of Genius is a framework created by Gay Hendricks inside his book The Big Leap.

This is something we also dive deep into inside Mujerón University. Finding your unique power is crucial to living a fulfilled life, amiga.

Tips I shared with you:

  1. Understand the 4 zones inside the Zone of Genius Framework
  2. Ask yourself these two questions:
    1. What do I love to do so much that I can do it for long stretches of time with out getting tired or bored?
    2. What unique ability of mine, if fully realized and put to work, can provide enormous benefits to me and any organization I serve?
  3. Join a program like Mujerón University to get into action and live a fulfilled life!

How Investing In Yourself Can Change Your Life with Kenia Margarita

I want you to ask yourself this question: How much would it cost being in the exact same place a year from now?

This is the question I ask myself every time I am about to make a BIG investment on myself.

At the end of the year I always like to sit down and plan out what I will be investing on for the next year.

I had a conversation with Kenia Margarita Cabrera about how investing in herself changed her life. Kenia was a part of Mujerón University earlier this year, our signature group coaching program, and she has since then become a mindset and life coach and is now serving others on their own journey.

In this episode Kenia shares more about her experience inside the program and how she was able to get out of her own way to make her first big investment.

How many times have you felt guilty for asking for help?

Amiga, I want you to know you're NOT alone and as a first gen Latina asking for help has been one of the most difficult things to overcome.

Seeing my parents literally DO IT ALL and not prioritize their self-care is something that I definitely want to do different.

Now, as a new mama I have felt so overwhelmed running my business whole raising my little man, but at the same time I think about that amazing woman who did it all, my mama.

After realizing how important self-care and making time to do the things I love and that make me feel alive I think about how much different her life would have been.

In this episode I share more about how I realized that asking for help is actually a strength rather than a weakness.

I also share 4 things you can do to get out of your own way to get the help you need to make that big vision a reality.

Here’s what I shared on this episode:

  1. Reassess your priorities.

  2. Identify your zone of genius

  3. Schedule time for yourself and the things that you love to do.

  4. Write down 10 reasons why getting a sitter is good for everyone.

Hola Mujerones Happy 2022! And welcome to SZN 2 of the Mujeron podcast!

So I don’t know about you but the beginning of 2022 was NOT as planned and after having to take a break I started feeling guilty that I wasn’t being productive enough.

I began to reflect and really sit in this feeling of how often I find myself feeling unworthy or an imposter when I am not being productive.

I want to share 3 steps to detach your self worth from your productivity:

  1. Understand that taking a break is as productive as crossing off items on your list. Recharging is so important and it its honestly crucial to getting shit done. If we don’t recharge we can’t function correctly and you will most likely not get things done the way you would like to if you are drained.
  2. Less is more: getting the number one priority task on your list is still gettin she done. I think about how many times I’ve put 10 or more things on my list while taking care of my son full time and think how crazy I was for putting that pressure. If you can narrow it down to what is priority and get that done you will feel so much more accomplished.
  3. Change your mindset around hustle and grind mentality. This is definitely easier said than done but changing our vocabulary and our mindset over all around this idea that if we don’t hustle and grind all day we're not going to reach success.

I know that like me you have fallen into this cycle before because we are go getters. If you’re here listening to this podcast I know you wear many hats and have many counting on you to succeed.

So amiga remember your worth is NOT measured by your productivity.

Let me know if this episode resonated with you on our IG and stay tuned for season two of the Mujerón podcast.

Hasta la Proxima!

Happy Thanksgiving Mujerones! We chatted with Latina Entrepreneur Marilyn Diaz about our Latino Thanksgiving traditions and how grateful we are for what our parents have done to get us to where we are today.

As first gen Latinas we saw first hand how much our parents worked for us to have the life we have today. Marylin recently share a quote that really resonated with me and many women in our comunidad that read like this, “Our families didn’t cross oceans and borders so that we could work, pay bills, and die. Our families followed their dreams so that one day we could follow our own dreams. Be brave in the pursuit of your joy and wholeness. Walk through the doors our families held open for us.”

Amiga, I wanted to share with you my Endometriosis journey. I recently announced I will soon become a mommy and I wanted to share my journey with you.

I want to share this because I know there are a lot of women that like me struggled on their journey to become a mom. I also want to share so that if you are also going through the same thing as I was a year ago you feel hope with my story.

Sharing each other's stories is one of the main reasons why I created this community so that we can support each other through the good and the not so good things life throws at us some time.

I want you to know you are not alone.

The world is diversifying more than ever and it is important that we set our future generations up for success. As a former teacher, Sarah Farzam, founder & CEO of Bilingual Birdies, knew she had to help parents teach their children about biculturalism.

As a lover of music, language, and culture, her intention was to create a space to celebrate diversity with children.

In 2006, with zero business experience, Sarah launched Bilingual Birdies, a foreign language and live music program for children up to age six in NYC after months of passing out fliers in public playgrounds which yielded a total of three enrolled students (two of which were her twin nieces).

In our interview she not only shares with us how Bilingual Birdies has already had such an impact in families, but also shares about her entrepreneurial journey and what she did in order to create a successful business with and incredible purpose behind it.

What type of comments have you heard about Colorism in your Latino household?

Most likely you've been told not to stay in the sun for too long or you have also noticed how much your cousins with blue eyes and blonde hair were praised.

It is no secret that Colorism is not a topic that really comes up within our Latino community and we thought having this conversation was important due to all the unrest we experienced in 2020.

This episode is a recording of our Interview with Speaker & Media Personality Brenda Smith Lezama during our AMPLIFICA series which we did to support black creators.

We discuss understanding Colorism in the Latinx Community and Brenda shares her experience as an Afro Latina living in Mexico City.

We wanted to share this interview with you all because It is extremely important we continue having these conversations it was such an eye opener for us and all of those in attendance.
