Francis Chan has appeared at the “International Healing Conference” and shared the platform with heretics such as Bill Johnson, Mike Bickle, Benny Hinn, and Heidi Baker. He praised and apologized to Johnson and Bickle for criticizing them in the past, and talked about how he loved their hearts. But the apostle John makes it clear that we are not to even give a greeting to those who are enemies of the truth, lest we share in their wicked works. This is why Francis Chan is sharing in the sins of the heretics he promotes.

This week we had a super duper podcast with Erik Pederson, The Outback Berean and Tony-Allen from Design of Providence. We discussed a whole slough of Mike Bickle & IHOP KC theology, including Bickle’s aberrant teaching of the kenotic Jesus, and specifically his views on the End times and how he misuses Acts 2 to support it, along with a host of other theological problems with IHOP KC.

One of the major problems with Bickle’s theology is his view on modern prophecy in regards to prayer. Bickle believes that God requires our prayer before releasing His power. Talk about scratching your head and flipping through the Bible to find a passage that supports that idea! Ummm, yeah, you can stop looking now; there isn’t a passage with that idea.
But theology wasn’t Bickle’s only dilemma, as we discussed. There were also the associations with some pretty nasty people that he distanced himself from when these people began making a clank amongst Bickle’s other charismatic chums.
Simply concluded, stay away from IHOP KC and Mike Bickle. Though he and his followers will deny it, they have a cult-like status that chides its members for any negative talk against the leadership. You’d probably be better off hanging out with Walter Matthau and the Bad News Bears. You can catch the podcast below.

Appearances of Jesus seem to be the norm at IHOP (International House of Prayer). Mike Bickle has seen Jesus several times, and in at least one incident was thrashed around his hotel room during one of these appearances. But that’s okay. Jesus does these kinds of things to His children at times.

A Friend Named Don I was listening to a recent podcast episode by Bickle, where he tells yet another amazing encounter with Jesus. This time however, Jesus appears to Mike as his friend Don. Yep, that’s right, Jesus takes the form of a close personal friend of Mike’s by the name of Don Norman.
