Kevin truly has done it all. Created one of the first Sonic fan sites? Started up one of the first Sonic fan podcasts? Built a media depository used by Sega themselves? Took his passion as a fan and made it into a job working for Sega repping Sonic the Hedgehog? Yep, he's done it ALL. But has it been a journey just of highs and where has it all led to this point today? We discuss all this (plus how Sega tried to sue him of course) starting from the very early days of Sonic on the internet!

Is it really an average game that combined with being the first "next gen" Sonic, and over hyped by the fans, just led to a heightened disappointment? All we know, is that we played it recently and thought, "Oh this isn't all that bad". Maybe we are just mad. There are two very different opinions this episode, we would love to know where you side on this discussion!

How old are you? Let me just explain that I am 28 and when I was a teenager, the community looked very different. Fansites out the wazoo, "figure heads" of the community. It was a lovely time, forward over a decade later and what do we have? Fansites other than the top tier have died out, forums are barely existent like they use to be. Is that the community has died, due to things like "glory" years of Sonic going and kids now growing up with games like Rise of Lyric, or is just the community does need to exist in the form it use to? Why have a close knit group of people when you have social media and things like twitter. Things that didnt exist back then? It's with great pleasure we get to discuss this with Sonic Yoda and Roareye Black. The first ran one of original Sonic fansites while the latter was part of The Sonic Stadium team, owner of the original Sonic Sprites Network and cohost on of the communities first online radio shows, "The Sonic Hour"
We play Defeat Donnie which has a result you will NOT be expecting. And we call the Uncle Poxxy hotline and find out if it's ok to ship Dragon Ball Z with Sonic and which Sonic character we would like under the covers!

A silly question maybe to some. We see the fanboys everywhere, but with the recent news that a YouGov poll found more women to be fans of Sonic than men, we were just curious where are they? Is the Sonic community too male focused. How many female Sonic youtubers or podcasters do you see? Why does the female voice seem that bit quieter? Maybe it's because the female audience express their fandom is more artistic less "look at me" ways, maybe it's because this poll was wildly wrong. All we know is, what better group of people to discuss than a podcast of 5 men. cough

Did you know there was company that makes glasses has released Sonic branded ones? Neither did we. Because it's super boring and dull. Your regular trio of Kevin, Cat and Donnie return this week in a long pre-show following a week of Boom news and feedback that needs to be addressed. The UK is to get Sonic Boom and SEGA comes under fire for managing to lose the ball, much less drop it. Do the team get enough information from SEGA? Are SEGA putting out the right information when they do? Oh and guess whose fault it was the community thought episode 25 was a boys vs girls show? The trio reclairfy their position on episode 25, and why 'boxes' aren't neccessarily bad. Cat is given an art challenge so Bill Freiberger has something nice amidst all the worry and concern and Kevin turns Sonic into a story for small children. Donnie and Kevin discuss names of the rest of the cast, Kevin discovers he can do an eerily good impression of the Gogoba's Chief (or is that Snagglepuss?) and Cat finishes off her Bill Freiberger themed art challenge.
