For this reason the Church earnestly recommends that the faithful dedicate specific times to prayer, to spontaneous and familiar conversation with God, awakening in their hearts attitudes of adoration, wonder, gratitude, petition, and contrition.

The greeting to the Blessed Virgin Mary is prayed three times a day: in the morning, at midday, and in the evening around six. The Angelus is prayed all year round except during Easter; the Regína Cæli, from Easter Sunday until midday on Pentecost Sunday.
