Episode 148: Do I Have a Purpose?
You were created on purpose and filled with purpose by your Creator. Our purpose is to glorify our Heavenly Father, to fear God, and keep His Commandments. We are to follow Jesus and lead others to Him.
When we read in Genesis that we are to be fruitful and multiply. This isn't only bearing children, it is also spiritual multiplication. Jesus never multiplied physically, but He multiplied spiritually. Your purpose includes spreading the gospel and helping others come to know Jesus.
Our God given purpose requires that we no longer go along with the crowd. We are called to be set apart. As we grow to know God more and engage Jesus, we should becoming more and more like Jesus. God uses every single thing we go through to transform us into who He created us to become. It is a continual progression until we meet Him face to face.
Satan wants to detour us from pursing the purpose we are to fulfill. He hisses and points us to our selfish desires or anything other than God's plan for us. We must recognize this as spiritual warfare and stop believing His lies. Get in God's word - it is the truth.
Engage Jesus in every moment of your life and you will experience the more He came to offer. And what He came to offer you as you follow Him far surpasses anything you will leave behind. Ask God daily to reveal your purpose for the day. Say yes to God and surrender your life to Him. Today is the day to start being about your Father's business.

Episode 147: Engaging Foundational Truths
If we are not engaging the truth, then we are listening to the lies of the enemy. He wants to kill, steal, and destroy you and it all begins by hissing lies in your ear. Be diligent to not listen to the lies. Instead lean into the truth that is found in God's word.
The power of life and death lies in the tongue. Be careful what you say to yourself. Be careful what you believe. Matthew 4:4 "True life is found in every word that goes forth from God's mouth." Speak the truth and release your faith.
Truth is the firm foundation God has given you to stand on no matter where you are in your life. Read God's word, speak God's word, and live a life founded on His word. Jesus said, "the Truth will set you free".

144: I Declare!Today, we are talking about declarations. Have you ever made a declaration? Have you ever thought about what you should declare? Job 22:28 says, "You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways." What are the declarations that we should make as Daughters of the King? We encourage you to list out 5 Declarations - declaring this is who I am, this is what I do.Examples: When we declare, "I am a Daughter of the King", it should impact everything we say and everything we do. So, because I am a daughter of the King, I trust God. I walk with Him and talk with Him. I am honest and do not fear.I hope you will feel encouraged to make your list. 143: This is How I Fight My BattlesJoin us as we talk about how we fight our battles. Life is hard and we often encounter spiritual battles of different types and sizes. So, let's look at scriptures that tell us how to fight.1. Trust God. Sometimes God allows us to experience a difficult season for a reason. Exodus14:13-14: Remember, the Israelites had been in a hard season. They had been released from captivity and were on the run. They feared Pharaoh would surely kill them, they blamed Moses, and they doubted they would be saved. God told them, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today." God has already fought our battle.2. Engage Jesus. II Chronicles 20: Jehoshaphat receives a report that a huge army is on its way to fight them. He calls for fasting, for the people to seek God, and to pray. Jehoshaphat remembers God's past faithfulness in the past. We put our battle before the Lord and engage Him in our battles. Recall the truth of God's word. Instead of us fighting our battles, we can rest and let God fight for us. In the story of Jehoshaphat, the rivals armies that were coming to devour them, ended up fighting one another. When Jehoshaphat and his army entered the battle field, the enemy was already dead.3. Be prepared. Ephesians 6:13-18: We are up against far more than we can handle on our own. We need to accept the help of God's weapons - truth, righteousness, peace, and salvation. These are our promises. Give your troubles to God, spending time in prayer. Pray long. 141. Jumpstart June: Engaging Jesus in Your Relationships
Listen as Kim starts us off in Colossians 3:12-14 encouraging us to be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Are we all of these things? Today is a good day to check ourselves and shift our focus from how we are treated to how we treat others people. As believers, we are called to exhibit this list of things to others. Pam reminds us that some people make it easy for us to love as God loves, while others make it challenging.
Today is a good day to remember that God is asking us to be different from the world. We are not to be reactionary, but to learn to respond in a way that honors God. What should we do? We should pause and re-center ourselves and ask God to help us respond appropriately.

because He is gentle, we can be gentle- because He is patient, we can be patient
We are created to be in relationship. Satan wants us to be isolated and alone, distracted from God and His goodness. We want to encourage you to seek out God-honoring relationships. Develop a circle of a few friends who love Jesus and start doing life together.

140. Jumpstart June: Engaging Jesus in Your Emotional Health
How do we engage Jesus in our emotional health? We are overwhelmed by all of the things we have going on in our lives. But God never intended for us to do any of it on our own. We need Him and we need to engage Him in every area of our life - even in our emotions and our mental health.
Our feelings and the status of our heart matters to God. We need to cry out to Him and share what we are experiencing. Let's ask Him to show us where our heart is not aligning with Him? When we give Him our struggle, we can find rest in Him. (Be sure to listen to Kim's explanation of Psalm 23 and what we need to be able to rest.)
When we engage Jesus by spending time with Him at the beginning of our day, it prepares us mentally for our day and to endure our circumstances. When we place our trust and faith in Him, we can count it all joy - even struggles and hardships - because He will use it to grow us and strengthen us. He tells us to cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us.

The Bible tells us that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This is the motivation we need to make some changes and choose to make better decisions. Let's give some thought to what we are eating, our physical activities, and how much we rest.

137. Maybe He Doesn't Even Care
This is the 4th episode in our Maybe Series. Have you ever felt as if God doesn't care about you or about the circumstances of your life? Hebrews 4:15-16 reminds us that God does care and that He can sympathize with us because He experienced temptations.
We must be careful to recognize the lies of the enemy and discard those. Instead, let's cling to the truth of God's word. Remember to ask, "who told me that?" Scripture tells us over and over again that He does indeed care.
Sometimes we cannot understand why God is not doing what we think He should do. Why is He allowing pain and hard things to happen? The decision we have to make is to choose to trust God - even with things are not going our way. The choice is to run to God or to run from Him.
Paul in 2 Corinthians 12 asked God to rid him of the thorn in his side. God tells Paul that His grace is sufficient, it is enough to carry us through. He gave us His riches at His own Son's expense. Therefore, we can be sure He cares.
Let's stop seeing things from our perspective. But remember James 1:2-4 where it tells us to count it all joy when we troubles come our way. When our faith is tested, our endurance has a chance to grow. "So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
We can trust that God's answer is best. We know that God is good. We know that He is faithful, will never leave us, will never forsake us. Cling to the truth - write things you know to be true - and keep them in your truth journal. We have not be abandoned. God cares for us.

Be sure to recognize who is causing you to question. Who wants you to doubt? Scripture tells us that the enemy came to kill, steal, and destroy.
What is the basis of your doubt? What is the evidence of existence of God, of Jesus? The evidence is all around us. If none of this is real, what is the purpose? We are here to remind you that there is a higher purpose. There is a plan. God, the Creator of the Universe, wants to have a relationship with you. While that is unimaginable for our finite minds, God will meet us in an intimate way and become our Savior, our Lord, our Good Shepherd and so much more.
We urge you to seek God, to invite Jesus into your heart, and to receive the gift of eternal life. If you are His and in a season of doubt, cry out for help. Don't be stuck in this season of struggle, go to God. Cry out to Him and seek His face. Pam, Gwen, and Kim can all testify of His presence, of His goodness, and of His faithfulness. We are here for you!
As believers, we have a responsibility to be intentional to share what we know with others. Tell others about Jesus, pray with others, and share your testimony with those around you. Talk about it with truth and with grace. Love others enough to share with them. Invite them to experience what you have experienced.

135. Maybe I am Lost
This is the 2nd episode of our Maybe Series.
We are wondering if you ever feel lost - as in you aren't sure where you are headed, if you are doing the right things, or if you have more questions than you have answers.
What do we do when we feel lost?
First, let's rest in Him. This requires spending time with Him, leaning into Him, and allowing Him to help us.
Next, we have to go to Him and ask for His direction. We have to listen to hear and know the next step we are to take.
We cannot let our feelings, which are not always truth, impede us or lead us astray. The truth is God has not gone anywhere. It could be our sin that has distanced us from God. Sometimes we are blind to our sin and what is separating us from God. Confession is required for us to experience that closeness again.
Evaluate your inputs. Who are you spending time with? What do you do with your time? What are you putting into your heart, soul, and mind. What you input determines your output and could cause your feeling of being lost.
Stay in God's word. It is our guide. As you read and study, open your hands and ask God to come and be with you. Get to know your Savior all over again. You are not lost, it just feels that way. Run to Him and be found!

134. Maybe... I Need to Change My Habits
Listen as Gwen opens us with some tough questions and asks us to define our habits. Are they replenishing us or depleting us? Are they drawing us closer to God or leading us astray?
Give it some thought. Do you need some new habits? What habits do you have that need to be exchanged for something far better? When you make it a habit to be obedient to the instruction we find in God's word, it is amazing what can take place in our lives.
How do we know if a habit is a good habit or bad habit? It crosses the line when it becomes all about "me". The motive of our heart is what is important and what determines whether the habit is good or bad?
We need the habit of discernment to identify the difference in the lie of the enemy and the truth found in God's word. Kim encourages us to identify the lie and find the scripture to combat that lie. Apply the truth in your life. What if we made it a habit to know God more, to trust Him more and to walk in obedience to Him.
Let Romans 12:1-2 guide you as you establish some new habits. Choose to know longer be like the world, but to be set apart by the habits you create. Allow yourself to hunger for Jesus, for God's word, for what He has for you.

133. How Do We Spring Forth?
How do we become intentional about moving forward in our relationship with Jesus and letting Him spring us forward into what He is asking us to do?

As God has promised, He will use all things for our good bringing springs of living waters in the desert. Highlight Mark 4:26-29 and know that even when you are asleep (physically or just checked out), God is still at work. What is pressing down on you or surrounding you is being used to develop you.

132. How do You Share Jesus and Lead Others into a Relationship with Him?
No need to be nervous or fear you cannot do it right. Keep it simple and share Jesus with others. Opportunities will arise when you least expect it. Today is the day to get ready to share Jesus and lead others into a relationship with Him.
It is not enough to know who Jesus is, we must know Jesus. That means recognizing that we all have fallen short and need to repent from our sin. It is our sin that separates us from God. This is why we need a Savior. On our own we come to the edge of a cliff where the wages of sin is death. But on the other side is the gift of eternal life. Jesus came to bridge the divide between the 2 cliffs. The cross bridges the gap, makes a way, for us to be reconciled to God. You see, Jesus paid our ransom. His blood washes us white as snow. When we repent of our sin and pray to receive Jesus as our Savior, we receive the hope of eternal life and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

131. Planting Seeds that Point Others to Jesus - How can we be intentional about planting seeds about the good news of Jesus? We start by being intentional about praying for others, praying they will be receptive and that the seeds will take root. We can also ask God to help us recognize the opportunities to plant seeds when they arrive.
In the Parable of the Sower we learn that the condition of the soil matters, which is the condition of the heart. It's up to the hearts of others whether the seeds bear fruit or not.
We can plant seeds by choosing to share our Jesus story when given an opportunity. It is our story of redemption. It's easier than you think. Just tell what He has done in your life.
We also plant seeds by how we conduct ourselves. If we are intentional to live our faith out loud, others notice and become curious about how that works. It matters how we live our life.
It matters what seeds we sow. How are we influencing those around us? Do we influence them to turn to Jesus or are we influencing them to turn away from Him?

130. How Do we Bloom Spiritually? How do we grow spiritually? What is spiritual growth? Let's start by asking are we growing or are we dormant?
We find the answers in scripture. Take some time to read Psalm 1 - and see how we are to be like a tree bearing fresh fruit. The Word is what nourishes us and causes us to bloom spiritually.
The fruit of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Are these fruits blooming in your life? Are some blooming more than others?
Take time to till your soil, weed your garden, and do the work to ensure a healthy season of blooming. What are some weeds that need to be removed? They could include pride, self-sufficiency, disobedience, doubt, unbelief, bitterness, and so many others.

129. Who Told You That? - Ask yourself this question, who told you that? This is a great question to ask yourself when the negative self-talk is invading your thoughts, when the words of others are permeating your mind, and when you are believing things that are not true. Asking the question, who told you that, helps you discern the difference in the truth of God's words and the lies Satan wants us to believe.
Who have you authorized to speak into your life who should not be. Listen to the example of David and how he did not listen to the negative words. What has triggered the negative comments? You can be set free from giving your ear to and believing the lies of the enemy. The mind is a battlefield; don't let the enemy gain ground.
Be careful of the power of suggestion. Don't let your mind feed into assumption, or suggestion, or even unmet expectations. Keep your thoughts aligned with the truth of God's word by asking, who told you that? Take every thought captive and line it up with the truth of God's word. This is a great reason to be in the Word!
You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free! John 8:32
Take inventory of your thoughts and make sure what you are thinking is good and honors the Lord. Take the truth of God's word and put it on top of the lie. Walk and talk with your Savior. Lean into His truth.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things arelovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8

128. Speak Lord, I am Ready to Listen - We want the Lord to speak to us, we are ready to hear. There are those times when we can't hear a peep. What stops us from hearing from God? Are we too distracted, too busy, or anticipating how we think we will hear from Him?
Maybe we need to create margin - blank space - that is reserved from Him. Maybe we need to sit in the quiet so we can hear Him whisper. Maybe we need to silence the enemy or turn down the world's volume, so we can hear what the Lord has to say.
What is our posture? Obedience, correct posture, and purposeful silence sets us up to hear the Lord's voice. The more time we spend in His presence, the more often we will hear from Him. It may be in a song, in a phrase, in a sermon, in a conversation with a friend and then repeated in our devotion.
So what are we to do? Get in the Word so we can know the Word and can discern truth from the lies of the enemy. Once we hear from Him, we have to be ready to adjust our life and walk in obedience with Him. He never calls us to do what we can accomplish in and of ourselves. This is how He gets the glory.
We hear from God through communion, relationship, counsel and conviction. Believe He has something to say to you and expect to hear from Him. Rely on the Holy Spirit to be your helper and your teacher. Pray His Word and hear from Him. Ask Him to open your eyes to see, your ears to hear, and your heart to receive!

127. The Resume of a Leader - When we talk about leadership we are referring to being a servant leader. A servant leader is a growing leader led and grown by the Holy Spirit. In order to lead like Jesus, we are called to serve. We are to live by a different model than the world lives by.
Servant Leadership Is about being like Jesus and leading like Him - not just showing up and going through the motion. It is about the posture of our heart. We are not to strive, we are to surrender our leadership to Him.
A Godly leader is faithful and obedient no matter where they are serving. We are to shepherd our people. We accept and delegate responsibility. Shepherding requires caring for our people and doing what is best for the lot. We are to be a leader others can trust.

125. What Lies on the Other Side of Obedience? Goodness lies on the other side of obedience. Our disobedience has to be addressed. God's way is best. When we choose His way and walk in obedience to Him, we discover that what He has for us is better than anything we could choose for ourselves.
Obedience brings freedom. It means you are no longer in bondage to striving. Obedience offers us His power. It opens the opportunity for Him to work through us. Obedience brings blessing and protection.
Who is on the other side of our obedience? How does our obedience impact the lives of others? Who sees our obedience and is inspired, convicted, or encouraged by it? How will God use your obedience to touch the lives of others?
Our obedience matters. It matters to us and the transformation that we are to be experiencing. It also matters to those who are around us. Our obedience inspires others to take that step in obedience.

124. Trust and Obey. Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. These lyrics to the old song in your church hymnal are so strong. Can you trust and not obey? Can you walk in obedience if you don't trust Him? These are good questions to ponder today.
Know Him, love Him, trust Him and obey Him. These 4 elements are necessary if we are to walk in obedience to Him. We are to not merely say we do these things, but to actively practice these things. We need God's grace in order to layer each to these things together in order for us to walk in obedience to God's word.
Where do we start? We spend time with Him - reading and studying His word. As we do, we deepen our love for Him. Knowing Him and loving Him, grows our trust in Him. The more we trust Him, our love grows deeper and deeper still. Our love for Him propels us to walk in obedience to Him. We are praying for you as you lean in and choose to trust and obey, for there's no other way.

123. Walking in Disobedience. Obedience is the practical acceptance of the authority and will of God. It is submitting to Him in our actions, words, and thoughts. It is to agree with God and be in a position of power in Christ. So that means that disobedience is simply not trusting that God knows what is best.
Today, ask God to reveal your disobedience. Even doing the right thing for the wrong reason is disobedience. It is all about the motives of our heart. God knows, so get honest with Him.
Today is a great day to choose obedience. We don't have to work on it or try to do it. We simply need to choose it. Anytime we falter, confession brings grace.

122. Do I Have Enough Faith?
The definition of genuine faith is abandoning all human reliance and self effort, placing total dependence upon God's character, His actions, and His promises. Faith is a gift from God. We can pray and ask God to help us have enough faith.
Do we worry and fret or do we place our faith in God and rest on His promises? During the midst of every struggle and trial, we have a decision to make. Will we lean into the truth of God's word, lean into our relationship with Jesus, and lean in so close we can hear the promptings of the Holy Spirit? When we choose to abandon ourself and depend on God, we grow to know Him more which increases our faith.
To increase our faith, spend time in the Word to know Him more. As our knowledge of Him grows, our belief in Him, His Word and His promises grows. As we know Him more, we learn to trust Him more. As we know Him more, grow our belief, and learn to trust Him more - our faith in Him grows.

121. Do You Feel Shame?
Satan says "shame on you", but God says, "shame off you". Whatever it is that causes you to feel shame - something we did or something that happened to us - we can exchange our shame for God's peace.
Shame started at the beginning with Adam and Eve. It's not new. But the good news is that as Daughters of the King, we can give God our shame, surrender it to Him, and trust Him to take care of it for us. Surrender is to be our new way of living!
Surrender may require practice. You may have to continue to practice surrendering your shame and no longer living there. And whenever you start to feel that shame or Satan tries to remind you - remember that shame no longer belongs on you. Ask yourself, where is this from? It's not coming from God, so take those thoughts captive and carry them to God in prayer.

120. Are you Lonely?
Loneliness has become a mental health crisis in the United States. We can google and find the world's recommendations of how to endure loneliness. But even better than that, we can look in God's word to see what the Lord instructs us to do when we find ourselves feeling lonely.
Jesus is your best friend and you can interact with Him. Listen as we describe a way you can journal and have God speak into your personal situations proving that you are not alone. As promised, God is always with you and He is everything you need.
We understand your pain as your friend group diminishes or as you find yourself an empty nester. But you do not have to be stuck in the struggle. 119. The Lies we Believe
We are comfortable believing lies about ourselves, about our circumstances, and even about the health of our relationship with Jesus. Sometimes we are being deceived and sometimes we are deceiving ourselves. How do we stop believing the lies of the enemy and start making sure what we believe lines up with the truth of God's word?
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you identity and define the lies. Ask yourself "who told you that?" Surrender the lie and replace it with the truth of God's word.

118. New Year, New Way of Life

117. There is No Greater Love - Merry Christmas, friends! It is a busy time of year, but we pray you will slow down enough and remember that there is no greater love than God's love for you. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Christmas reminds us about a God who loves us so much He sent His Son to die on a cross for us. His birth is worthy of a celebration - especially now that we know that we know what it offers to us - Hope, reconciliation to God, hope of eternity with Him!
He humbled Himself, He gave His life, and He glorified the Father. This is the example that we are to follow. We are to humble ourselves. We are to live our life as a living sacrifice to Him. We are to live a life that brings honor to our Father.
May 2024 be the year our #1 goal is to look more and more like Christ. May we make Jesus the center of our life. May we point others to Him! To God be all the glory!

116. How Do I Grow My Love for Him? We have been talking about Jesus, His love for us, and our love for Him. We don't want our love to be stagnant or diminishing. We want to grow our love for Him, but it is not always easy. The pruning we endure, the suffering we endure, and the trials we walk through all teach us that He is trustworthy and lead us into a deeper love for Him.

115. God's Love is Personal - Today, we want you to know that God loves you! He knows you completely and He loves you completely! Don't let Satan cause you to doubt His love for you. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son to pay the penalty for your sin so that you could have the hope of eternity with Him.
His love for you is personal and He is inviting you into a personal relationship with Him. He has proven it is a committed love. Now it is our turn to prove our commitment to Him. He has even given us a Helper - the Holy Spirit - to help us live out a committed love for our Savior.
Proof of our love for Jesus is our obedience to God's word. Our problem is that most of us don't know God's word enough to walk in obedience to it. As we get into the Word, it gets into us. But most importantly, as we read God's word we grow to know Him more, gain more understanding of the depth of His love for us, and find ourselves falling into a deeper love for Him.

- Do I Love Jesus? Today is a good day to get real and ask ourselves this question, do I really love Jesus? How can we know the answer to this question and what does that look like in our daily life?
Let's talk about the time Peter denied Jesus 3 times... after Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection He is cooking breakfast for Peter when He asked Him, "Do you love me?". He asked Peter that same question 3 times. He was asking Him if He was committed to Him? Are we committed to Him?
What does it look like to live out a committed love relationship to Jesus? We want to declare our love for Him, but does how we live our life reflect that? And how can our love for Him grow? What if the more we understand the depth of our sin, the more we will understand the depth of His love - leading us into a deeper love for Him.
Let's begin by making Him the Lord of our life; seeking Him first; walking in obedience to Him; and surrendering all of me to Him. We must find our way into trusting Him. He has proven He is trustworthy. The more we learn to trust, the more our love will grow.

113. How Do We Conquer Fear? Fear does not equip us for winning, it equips us to fail. Fear is false evidence appearing real. We are worried about something that is not even a reality.
Fear opens the door for Satan to be able to work in our life. Let's shut that door and place our trust in Jesus. Listen as Kim, Pam, and Gwen dive into the topic of fear and what God has to say about it.

110. What is Your Relationship Status? Give it some thought today and consider - what is the reality of your relationship status with Jesus? Can you say that He is truly your best friend? If He were your best friend, how would it impact every area of your life?
We can know a lot about God, and still not really know Him in an intimate way. John 15:10 tell us to live continually nourished and empowered by His love. He has proven that He is trustworthy and that He is committed to us. But... what about us? Are we surrendered to Him and seeking to follow after Him? How we died to our self, the same way that He has died for us?
So where are you with Jesus? Are you dating, engaged, married, separated, divorced? We should be in a covenant relationship with our Lord and Savior. Are we? Today is a great day to refocus ourselves, submits ourselves to the Lord, and pursue a deeply rooted and committed intimate relationship with Him. It starts with being honest with ourselves.

We have been talking about victorious living for weeks now. So... here's the question - are you choosing to live the victorious life every single day? We are already seated in the heavenlies with our Savior. So, why aren't we living like it? We cannot be victorious in our own strength; it is found in surrendering all to Jesus - even the small mundane things. It is a choice. What choices are you making? What if we began to take our thoughts captive, choosing to make sure they are lining up with the truth of God's word. Why? Because our thoughts determine what we believe, what we believe determines our actions, and our actions determine our path. It's a mindset shift. Choosing victory in Jesus.
What would your life look like if you were living the victorious life? Would it be different? Would it be better? The reason victory is hard is because we are focused on our life in the here and now, instead of on the eternal. What are some choices we can make today? Steps to go from Defeated to Empowered - Are you feeling defeated? We can become consumed by all the things that are not going as expected in our life. We can feel like failures and even believe that we are done. Thank goodness our feelings are not always the truth of our reality. This is why God tells us to take every thought captive.
So what are we to do? We are to take those defeatist thoughts captive and cry out to God; He will hear us. The Bible tells us that He will give us a way of escape. Therefore, we are to lean into His promises and believe His promises are true. God will not let us be defeated by what we face. Run your feelings through the filter of God’s word. The truth is you are not defeated; you are victorious through Christ. You are already seated in the heavenlies.
We are empowered by the Holy Spirit who is with us. Remember the truth of God’s word, read it, and be nourished. As Believers, the perception of the word should be different from the world’s. Move forward in faith, focused on Jesus. He is our security. He is our hope. He is everything we need. Now believe that you are empowered and see how everything begins to change.

Join us for a conversation about what this means. We are taught to never give up. We agree, we are not called to be quitters - as in sitting down or getting stuck. But there are some things we need to give up if we are to live the victorious life. Kim talks about giving up her “what if” and exchanging it for “even if”. Pam shares that she needed clarification on the term “winning”. How do we win in Jesus? We are team Jesus and because we know how this all ends, we can rest assured that we are on the winning team.
Gwen shares that we win by giving up our self-centered ways. We are on a path moving toward our Savior. We keep our eyes fixed on Him and keep on moving closer and closer to Him. When our faith wavers, we lose sight of Him and move in the wrong direction. Faith requires that we give up control and place our trust in Him.
The victorious Christian life is a life lived by faith in a moment by moment surrender to God. We can cast ALL our cares on Him because He cares for us. And that means that we can cast them once and for all and leave them there. Our steps should be walking in obedience to Him. We need to give up the world’s ways so that we can win in Jesus. You can live the victorious life and it all begins with surrendering. The more you surrender, the more victory you will experience.

How do we surrender it all to Him and live victoriously? Listen as Kim leads us through how we are to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him? It is an action item. Then as Gwen reminds us of Paul’s experience in the storm, we see a different perspective of surrender and gain a little more understanding of what it means to let go. And Pam leads us deeper as we mesh all of this together.
We get caught up in the how to’s and the concern if we are doing it all the right way. You will enjoy this transparent conversation and be inspired to stop focusing on the wrong things. Your availability to Him matters more than your ability. Sometimes it is the struggle, the tension, that confirms we are on the right path. Satan wants to delay, detour, and discourage our growth.
We surrender from the position of victory! We are already seated in the heavenly places. We forget that we are in the midst of spiritual warfare. Surrender is a battle term - we are to lay everything down, raise our hands in surrender, and submit to the One we are surrendered to. We are to lay everything down that we have been using to go to war and surrender to Him! Seek Him first! He is our everything!
We have victory in Jesus! May we live everyday of our life in that great truth! Even when we have a falling away or a season of loss, He is our provision and supplies all of our needs according to His riches!

You will relate to what Gwen shares about the radiance we can have that transcends the darkness. She reminds us of when Moses had been in the presence of God he had a glow about him that the people noticed. Like Moses, when we spend time with the Lord, we receive a glow from being in His presence.
Do we want to be set apart and radiate Jesus? While our flesh wants to say “no, we want to fit in”. But once we experience Jesus and all that He came to offer, there is nothing better than being transformed and changed by time with Him. Take some time as you contemplate this question. Fans are content to be Sunday Christians. Followers experience an intimate relationship with God.
It is easy to be complacent and just be a fan of Jesus. In Revelations, we read this described as “luke-warm” - neither hot nor cold. We allow ourselves too much gray area. So today - let’s ask a yes or no question. Are you following Jesus? If the answer is no - you can change it to a yes today!
Everyday we get to decide, will you follow your flesh (Satan) or will you follow Jesus? Have you surrendered your life to Him? Growing up in a Christian home or in church does not grandfather you into being a passionate follower. We need to all ask for God’s grace to see our own sin, recognize our deep need for Jesus, and plead for His help.
We pray this episode is an encouragement to you and you really ponder this hard question. How can you become a follower of Jesus Christ? How can you commit to engage Him in every area of your life? How can you be sold out for Him? It will not always be easy. It requires walking in His steps which will prove to be difficult - but He is worthy of our total surrender. It all begins with what you believe. Do you believe God has a purpose for your life? Do you believe you were created with gifts and talents? Do you believe that you have disqualified yourself?
So many times your purpose is discovered buried in your burdens. What weighs heavy on your heart? What do you want to change? What are your gifts and talents? Instead of focusing on what you can’t do, focus on what is easy for you. Then pray that one word prayer - “YES! Yes Lord, I will do what you ask me to do.”
Who am I for God to use me? It is not about who we are, but it is all about who He is. It is a journey of obedience as we take the steps He has for us to take. We cannot listen to those around us; instead, we can only listen to the One who instilled our purpose in us. We don’t have to feel like we are qualified to do what God is asking because He is the great qualifier!
We pray this episode is an encouragement to you. Remember, it is not about us. It is He who made us who we are to fulfill His ultimate purposes. Let’s just surrender and lean into Him! Are you stuck in a pit? Whether it is grief, depression, anxiety, fear, disappointment, or your own sin that has you sinking into a dark pit - we want you to know you do not have to stay there. Satan wants you to believe you are stuck forever, but Jesus’ hand is outstretched waiting to pull you forward.
Sometimes there is nothing huge happening in your life, but you still feel stuck. It could be comparison, too much bad news, or our unmet expectations that lead us into that pit. The Bible tells us that when our heart is overwhelmed, we need to be led to the rock that is higher than we are. When we are disappointed, we need to be reappointed. When we are discouraged, we need to be encouraged. He is our answer.
We pray this episode is an encouragement to you. Listen to your feelings, but discern when they are leading you astray. Run those feelings through the truth of God’s word. Reflect, remember, and let God raise you up out of that pit to a higher place in Him.

Following Jesus is not always easy. It would actually be easier to not follow Him and to instead just go along with the crowd. But… where would that lead us? Whether we follow Him or not, there is a sacrifice to be made. What will we sacrifice? Will we die to our flesh or will we chase what leads us astray?
Sometimes, we worry about what we will have to give up and we don’t realize what we will gain as we grow to know Jesus more. The truth is we have a choice to make. Are we going to follow Jesus or are we going to just pretend like we are? There is a decision that needs to be made. Will we make it today.
God is faithful. He is trustworthy. He deserves to come first in our life. But we have an adversary that is sure to try to cause us to lose our way. This is why it is so important who you surround yourself with. We all need people in our life who are helping us grow to know Jesus more and no matter what, they are sure to point us back to Him.

Do you struggle with anger management? Being reactionary, easy to offend and overly sensitive is a problem. What are we to do so that we can stay even tempered?
We, as believers, are expected to set an example. We are created in God’s image, so we are to walk in His ways. As women, our emotions can fluctuate, but we must resist the temptation to sin and instead lean into the promptings of the Holy Spirit. As Gwen says, “Get a grip!”

What do you do when you are in a difficult spot? It could be financially, relationally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. As believers, what should we do when we find ourselves in a hard situation?
- Get into God’s word - for nourishment, instruction, fortitude
- Suit up for the journey - it’s a part of your testimony.
- Count it all joy because God is going to use this difficult spot to grow you.
- Be still and listen, so you can hear His whisper.
Daughter of the King, our difficult spots are not about us. Our life is not about us. This journey we are traveling is all about Him. He is waiting for us to look up! Let’s look to Him for He is good, He is faithful, He is enough! He is bigger than anything we will ever experience or go through. We are here for His teaching, His training, His guidance to help us fulfill His ultimate plan.
Spend some time in Isaiah 43:2, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you…” God will carry you through your difficult times. What He teaches you in the dark, share in the light. He is writing your story and it is to be used for His glory!!! Be encouraged!

Join us as we talk about the seasons of life and how we are to rise up and live above our circumstances. Instead of asking “why”, what if we asked God, “what are you trying to teach me in this season?” We know that God works all things for our good. We know that God is good. Place your trust in Him and take notes. We want to remember His faithfulness when we find ourselves in a valley again.
To live as we should, we must focus or fix our eyes on Jesus. (episode 85) He has equipped us for the season we are currently facing. He sets us free from the shackles of this life and lifts us above the things that would devastate us. (Isaiah 40:31) As we lean into God, we have a more clear vision of our life. We gain a different perspective enabling us to see things more clearly or more as God views them.
Jesus is the Answer. Are we engaging Him in our life? We want to encourage you to engage and experience the more He came to offer you. We should engage Him in every area of our life - our identity, our relationships, our finances, our emotional health, our physical health, our growth and our spiritual disciplines. Remember who you are. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you are a daughter of the King. Are we living like it? As His child, He helps us rise above our circumstances.

On this episode we are talking about what happens when we lose our focus and become distracted. When we do, we lose our way and begin to focus on all the wrong things. But… what happens when we fix our eyes on Jesus, focus on Him and His plan for our life? Then everything changes.
How do we focus? We have to remember who we are and what we believe. That’s a good place to start the day. Let’s begin by remembering who God is. Who am I in light of Him? Remember who Jesus is and what He has done for us. That should shift our focus and impact every area of our life. We are not to conform and follow the world. We are to be transformed by our relationship with Jesus and by the studying of God’s word.
When we focus on Jesus, by seeking Him first and foremost in our life, everything else begins to fall in place. It doesn’t mean we won’t experience a storm - but it means we will have peace in the midst of the storm. We will prevail because He will carry us through. Focusing on God’s promises help us to keep our eyes fixed. We can trust God, His Living Word and His written Word.

How do we find our way to intentional rest? Are you so busy that you are constantly exhausted? When we fill every second with busyness and we try to do all the things others expect us to do, are we honoring God? So… what is the answer here? Well, Jesus set the example for us when He took time to go and be with the Father. How do we obey God and find the time to be still and know that He is God? It all begins with trust… trusting Him in all things.
As believers, we need to stop following the example of the world and follow the example of our Savior. We are constantly looking for the answer, when we have access to The Answer - Jesus. He is waiting for us to have an intimate relationship with Him. Matter of fact, He tells us exactly what we need to do in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

We need to know the answer to this question. We need to know deep down in the depths of our soul, can we trust God? Sometimes we need to make a decision - will we or won’t we trust Him? It’s an easy answer when things are all going our way - but what about when things aren’t going according to our plan? What about when the storm winds blow in our lives?

Love is in the air! We love love! We love to be in love, we love to feel loved and we love to make the ones we love to feel loved. But there is a flip side to love and it feels so ugly. God has given us the capacity to both love and to hate. Let’s talk about what God has to say about both love and hate.
As believers, let’s make sure we share the qualities of love in 1 Corinthians 13. God is love. Let’s ask God to help us to look more like Him as we live out our life. We cannot do this in our own strength, we need His strength. We should also recognize what God hates and we should hate it as well. Scripture doesn’t say to hate those who do the things God hates. But, we should hate our own sin enough to confess it and turn from it.

Marriages are wonderful and difficult. There is sure to be conflict, because both parties are human. Beginning with Adam and Eve, blame became a part of our union and we easily see our spouse’s faults as we struggle to see our own. This is no surprise to God. So, how do we fulfill our part of this union and do what the Bible instructs us to do? Philippians 2:3-5 (TPT) “Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example of Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.”
When it becomes hard to do what is right in our marriage, we have the power of the Holy Spirit alive in us. He is our helper and our strength. We can love our mate well through Christ who strengthens us. We need His help! Times of struggle are sure to come and we are sure to need His help. Jesus is always the answer. Prayer is the way we are to fight for our spouse.
Staying in the Word and spending time in prayer helps to hold us accountable to do our part in our marriage. Having an accountability partner to come alongside you and walk alongside you - pointing you to Jesus time and time again - can also be a help. Sometimes we are blinded to our part in the damage in our marriage because we are focused on our spouse’s faults. What we need to do is focus on Jesus. Accountability is the state of holding ourselves to someone else and having them help us measure our growth or our loss. Sometimes we like that and sometimes we don’t. To be held accountable we have to be honest and vulnerable. We need to be willing to receive feedback and even instruction.
This is a choice we can make so that we live in our true identity as believers. We need accountability to stay on the path God has for us. We should be thankful when someone holds us accountable. We should not be offended. We are to be humble and accept respectful correction. So… who holds you accountable?

How do our priorities affect our life? Today we are talking about the book of Haggai in the Bible. There are only 2 chapters in this book - but it helps us to understand the cost of misplaced priorities. Are we putting Jesus as our top priority? Scripture tells us to “seek first the kingdom of God”, but do we? Or are our priorities out of order?
We are praying for you and asking God to help you get your priorities in the right order. In order to do that, we need His help. We need His intervention and supernatural help. The new year is coming. It’s a fresh start, a blank page and another chance to set and reach for our goals. What if this year you had a fool-proof way to reach your new year’s goals? We don’t want to be like a fool who sets our own goals and asks God to give us our way. We want to be wise and allow God to help us define what He wants for us, because His way is best, His plans for us are good and we want to be in the center of His will. YES!!!
What could happen in 2023 if you walked in your identity as a Daughter of the King, knew the Truth and stood firmly on it and stepped into what God has for you to do? What would change? This year, let’s engage the Christmas story, engage Jesus and engage in a response for what He has done for us. Are we too tired to leap for joy at the birth of our Savior? We need a stirring of the Holy Spirit to remind us that Jesus is the Hope of the World. He is our hope. This is why we celebrate.
For God so loved us - in spite of our failures and shortcomings and neglect of Him - that He sent His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Have you received your King? Is He the Lord of your life? Today is a great day recenter your life and surrender it all to Him. Remember, without the cradle there would not have been a cross.

It’s that time of year again. During the holiday season, we often find ourselves face to face with our immediate and our extended family members. Let’s be honest… we all have a little family dysfunction, if not a lot of if. It can be challenging and sometimes just plain hard.
What if this year, we shifted our perspective and learned to look at our family members a bit differently? What if instead of being disappointed that our family members are not what we long for, we asked if we are showing up to be who God created us to become? Maybe He has taken us through some hard things and taught us some hard lessons, so we could be the family member they need in their life. Hmmm… that perspective might make things feel a little different this year.

Our emotions can be good and God-honoring; yet they can also lead us astray and give Satan a stronghold into our lives. It's Easter Week. What is this week all about for you and your family? Will you be focusing on the Easter bunny and eggs and chocolate? Easter is a time to remember that we are in need of a Savior, so God sent His only Son so that whosoever believes in Him could have eternal life. Jesus took on our sin, paid our penalty, died a horrific death. Then on the 3rd day, up from the grave He arose. The tomb is empty; He is risen. He has ascended and is at the right hand of God.. It’s Valentine’s Day and we can become focused on what we may or may not receive as a gift. Let's all pause and celebrate the birth of our Savior - the Messiah, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is what Christmas is all about. It's not about the beautiful décor or the best presents, it is about the present God sent to us so that we could have a relationship with Him. Have you opened the best gift ever? Have you taken it out of the box? Are you engaging Jesus and experiencing the more He came to offer you? Isn't it time?
Emotions are a gift from God, but they can also be a burden if we are not willing to surrender them to God. Believing that we are controlled by our emotions is against what the Bible says. We are commanded to meditate on God’s Word and let the Holy Spirit guide our thoughts and emotions. It’s part of living a surrendered life to Jesus and allowing Him to take over every aspect of our life.
