Wow. Wow. Wow. Stella is a beautifully complex character who does not want to be identified by her Autism. Michael is more than his surface level occupation as an escort. If you are looking for relatability to character thoughts and feelings, this is a perfect read. I genuinely loved that this book opened my mind to look past the stigmas and culture norms i've been surrounded by. This is an incredible debut novel for Helen!

First off, I want to apologize for taking so long to read this book! And this series! I am already deep into the 3rd book and i'm not coming up for air until I finish LOL! Cowboys. Grumpy MC.City Girl. Sexual TENSION!! Absolutely 10/10 give me more.

AUTUMN. PUMPKINS. SMALL TOWN. GRUMPY/SUNSHINE. GILMORE GIRLS. Can you feel the vibe? I devoured these sweet treats! Absolutely adorable, give me 17 of them.

A dark retelling of the fairytale Red Riding Hood...ok I was intrigued. It got spicy real quick with werewolf true mates, nbd. The story was good but the pacing was painfully slow. Not alot of scene movement in this book. I do think you need to read the other books in the little series for more world building because I was confused in a few parts. Overall just good!

I've been waiting for a book on Henry since the series came out, and I was NOT disappointed. If anything it solidified my love for him and how vulnerable he is with his struggles. He is a neurodivergent like me, so the ways I was able to relate to this book made it that much better. I highly recommend this book!Listen to Episode 66 and 111 for Books 1 and 2!

You need this book in your life, I devoured it. It passes the mother/sister standard for both of them, and is just the right amount of spice for me but also left me wanting more. The characters are so quirky and sunshine that you instantly love them and the side characters. All around, definitely another new favorite.

EASILY a top 5 favorite book, not even joking. This book even passes the Mother/Sister standard. They will be reading this, im not giving them a choice. The humor, the banter, the relatable characters, their quirks. Everything. Give me more.

This is one of those books where I immediately knew I would recommend to everyone. Everything was laid out perfectly. The pacing was on point, the characters were so well rounded, and the enermies to lovers aspect was top notch. I highly recommend this fantasy!

Paging miss Armas Ok girl, this book was fun and the tone was quick and poppy. I loved the story, the character growth of Josie being a people pleaser and then standing up for herself was perfect. Matthew was clever and protective, it was adorable. Overall- would recommend!

I am always down for a romantic comedy, especially when its a book. The humor brings out the best (usually) in a character and I just overall enjoy the book way more. The Unhoneymooners was a hit! I instantly was hooked into what was going on at the wedding and who each person was, I don't think I put down the book until I had finished. Also I WOULD recommend to my sister AND mom, I'm going to make them read it this weekend.

Solid witchy vibes to start off an early spooky season ;) Willow is a smart and capable main female character and I even though she did get played a couple times in the book, she gets up, dusts her feet off and keeps going. As for our MMC Gray, check the trigger warnings in the beginning. And in all honesty I don't like him, I didn't like him the whole book. There were no redeeming qualities about him. I'm hoping he is better in the second book because I am NOT rooting for him to get a happily ever after with Willow.

I found that Ali Hazelwood is a pretty divisive author. Her stories often feature a heroine that does not fit in. Which say hello to Rue, a food scientist who isn’t very personable

Once the story is set up and the main characters are consistently in each other's orbit, the intimacy develops in a natural and satisfying way, both through sex and through conversations they share. I loved the complexity of the characters and their relationship but I never fully warmed up to Rue, since I felt we as readers were not really allowed to get to know her beyond her social anxiety, but I loved Eli and rooted for the two of them together because I wanted him to have everything he wanted

I really liked Rue and Eli together, from how they met to how they traded terrible stories to how they connected on their rough upbringings. Rue was obviously much more closed off and detached and didn't want anything to do with anyone, while Eli was much more sunshine and sweet and fell for Rue hard and fast

They both have a lot of emotional traumas, especially Rue, and physical connection is their common language. It's safer than emotional feelings and both really enjoy it. So, physical intimacy is how they begin to connect emotionally, versus the other way around. But these interactions are full of understanding and trust, so the spicy scenes were also sweet.

Overall I very much enjoyed this book!

We've got monsters, we've got gods, we've got a slow burn on our hands! I definitely liked this book, I wouldn't say i loved it, but if someone were to ask if I recommend it, absolutely. It could've been just me but I was confused quite a few times with the world building and the spice level was too low for me, BUT very solid start to a series of 4 books.

Every summer, surgeon Whitney crashes weddings with her best friend. Which let's be honest is very bold and i would be way too terrified so it definitely would tip someone off that we didn't belong...They keep the rules simple and they never go to bed alone.

Then there’s Henry, WE LOVE HENRY. He is the best man and the best one-night stand of Whit’s summer. She never imagined she’d see him again but now he’s one of her new surgical residents—and completely off-limits. Can you already feel the TENSION!?

Perfect storyline, perfect characters, perfect pacing, honestly Kate Canterbary smashes it out of the park once again!

"A steamy arranged marriage billionaire romance" . IMMEDIATELY YES. Like I am about to devour this series. Hooked. First chapter, ok hi mr.dante we love a grumpy arrogant billionaire that stubbornly doesn't want to fall in love but in reality he falls first. 10/10 recommend picking this up immediately.

Y'all, I struggled with this book. I can't lie, I usually love Jennifer Armentrout books and have always been a fan but unfortunately I don't think I can recommend this. Apparently i'm going against 8k 5-stars review on amazon, so take all this as you will lol. It had so much potential and I really wanted to like these characters, but there just wasn't enough to connect me to them and want to root for them. So, there we go :)

So excited for Chan to join me to talk about this incredible book! We devoured this series and decided they are for sure in our top 20 of all time. The characters, the magic system, the plot, all of it was absolutely spot on! I highly recommend you move this book up on your TBR!

I'm glad Husband was here to talk about these fun books together! Mating with Mallows by Nora Noodles was a SWEET surprise and I secretly loved it. And I wish I loved more books in the regency era but I just couldn't figure out the words in Wolf in Duke's clothing, haha!

Solid book! Not a top ten but still a good one by my favorite Elle Kennedy. I will never tire of the fake dating troupe, especially when the characters have so much chemistry that you as the reader forget that they are faking.

Diana Dixon is a Briar U cheerleader juggling many summer activities and commitments. Shane Lindley is a hockey player at Briar U. Diana is not a fan of Shane, so she is less than thrilled when he becomes her next-door neighbor. Their little HOA meetings are so funny with the different personalities all mashed into one room!

Personally, I just don’t vibe with the love triangle in any book but with this one I really found it hard to connect with either love interest. I did enjoy the mystery aspect of the novel though. That’s what really saved this book for me and kept me invested in finding out who Josephine ended up with. Abbey’s ending felt rushed to be honest and thus not very satisfying. Overall good book, just not my favorite :)

"First they were strangers..then they were roommates..then well..it's a funny story" The tension, the longing, the unsureness, the roommates to lovers who are also the exes of each other’s exes so they’re going to try and get some type of revenge? I loved the setting, and the secondary characters! The witty FUNNY banter, omg I died. The character growth was beautiful, the timeline was paced perfectly, the spice was a classy spice, overall it was my favorite of Emily Henry.

"A laugh out, loud fantasy romance, with severed heads, hanging from the office ceiling, and employees betting on which intern will be fed to the dragon". If the intro doesn't hook you then I don't think we can be friends. THIS BOOK, instant favorite, so freaking funny, and i'm obsessed with each character!

I loved the mystery that was brought in and the story really keeps you engaged to find out what will happen! I also loved the journey of two people from different levels of society and how they worked with it.

The sexual tension in this spicy book!!! Cassie is hysterical, she is kind of a mess in the best possible way. She has an encyclopedic memory of Snapple lid facts and her best friend is her elderly neighbor, who is also hysterical. She has a tendency to ramble when she gets nervous, which adds another layer of fun to the story. Sophie, the cute 9 year old, is too cool for most things but secretly loves everything Cassie brings into her life. Aiden is so kind and his love for his daughter is so sweet!

Sequel to the Done and Dusted series, we return to Meadowlark with Wes who is the brother to Emmy (1st book). I loved him. SO.MUCH. Golden retriever boyfriend vibes while also giving gentleman who is aware of his feelings and battles depression. YES.

Ada, she is so real, so raw with her self doubt and vulnerabilities. She is a working women who wants her freedom while also is melting to Wes's sweetness.

If you love a cowboy romance, read this series immediately!

The only thing I really need to say is YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE. Husband's reaction to this book was golden!

A friend's recommendation, and each book having over 20k+ in 5 star reviews...I knew I was missing out on some great books. I was of course hesitant because they are considered dark romances, and I haven't had the best luck in that category. Honestly I was SO pleasantly surprised!! I lovedddd them! I am halfway through the 3rd book and I am still obsessed with these mafia characters and the story lines!

I really liked Clementine and Iwan‘s characters. They both were trying to find the most authentic versions of themselves. Iwan is just starting his career and Clementine is current day with her career already- seven years in progress. We follow Clementine looking for joy in her job in life without her aunt and we see her assist Iwan in rediscovering his joy. It’s not just a cutie romance where people fall in love, it’s an in-depth look at how time changes a person and reconnection can help you get back yourself! Absolutely loved it!

Love to sob during a book? Welcome to The Last Letter. One thing about Rebecca Yarros is she loves to pull at your heartstrings whether it be in a contemporary or her fantasy books. Like wow, I am never prepared for what she brings. This is no different- military meets single mother meets brothers best friend. Recipe for all the tears.

Another smashing addition to the Influencer series by Amy Lea!

City girl, Melanie, a friend of Tara's from Book 2, Exes and O's (Episode 63), and a fashion influencer meets her match with Evan a small town lobster fisherman from Nova Scotia. She is witty and he is grump, my favorite troupe! This series can be read as a one-off but you would be sorely missing out if you didn't pick up all three!

Another book going onto my all time favorites, yes please!!

Absolutely obsessed. No notes, it's perfection.

I LOVED this heartwarming tale of golf, love, and redemption. Wells and Josephine's unlikely partnership and blossoming romance had me rooting for them from start to finish. Wells' transformation from a grumpy golfer to a sweet and thoughtful man was incredible to witness, and Josephine's unwavering faith in him was truly inspiring. The book was a perfect blend of humor, heat, and heart, and I couldn't put it down!

I was immediately saying yes once I saw the word Highlands. Anything with Scotland, count me in. This series (which will have 5 books when finished) is incredible. The characters have so much chemistry, the plots and mysteries that are sprinkled in, amazing. I highly recommend you picking them up. Their spice would be around a 4 and you can count on that sexual tension coming into play with each book!

Werewolves mixed into the human world, fake mates, grumpy/sunshine, he falls first, all of my favorite troupes. This book was an absolute hit and Lana is now on my favorite authors list. She did incredible with the spice and story revolving around the characters. I highly recommend you pick up this book!

Not going to lie, I had a hard time with this book. If you took out the middle then it would be okay, it's just that there was still so much history and world building still, that the plot barely moved forward. I need more action, and I didn't get it. There will be one more book coming so i'm hoping there is alot of wrap up and excitement!

The only thing that can save the realms now is the one thing more powerful than the Fates.

Sera and Nyktos are being held captive by Kolis, convincing Kolis that she is Sotoria won’t be easy, though – not even with a lifetime of training. However, surviving Kolis is only one part of the battle. The Ascension is upon her, and Sera is out of time.

Grumpy/ Sunshine are my FAVORITE! and and and its spiiicey clenches fist Yes. It's giving small town, its giving "let me help you find a wife but secretly I love you". You know? Like its a solid, sweet, perfect rom-com. Also my sister and I are about to start Throne of Glass series!

An incredible blend of cowboys, brother's best friend, slow burn, and lots of spice! Lyla really nailed this debut novel. Relatable and like-able characters from the start, and now i'm invested and need the next book now!

In this episode we talk about Wildfire by Hannah Grace, and it easily is in my top 3 books I have read. I wish I would've read it when it came out because I am putting it on my list for favorite books of 2023. Aurora is an incredible main female character, so self aware and just wants to be loved. Russ is shy and sensitive, I loved watching his growth and confidence in this book.

I LOVED this book! We meet Hannah and Gerrit's (from The Deal) daughter Gigi. She is hilarious, witty and a dedicated hockey player just like her dad. She wants to make Team USA so badly and meets Luke Ryder, who helps her with her skills in exchange for her to talk him up in front of her dad. Ryder is a personality that we don't see very much in books. He is the complete opposite of Gigi but their friendship that slow burns into a relationship is fire. Honestly I loved this book that most out of all of Elle Kennedy's books. For real.

The world building and character development was fire and so detailed I felt like I was there experiencing all these new places, her descriptions were so spot on I can’t believe someone was able to conjure this from their mind! There was enough strife and tension to keep you reading and engaged but at the same time it was relatable problems any relationships may run into in the beginning stages, such an amazing book!

With an intro like that...sheesh I knew it would be good and it definitely exceeded expectations! I am a true Kate Canterbary fan! The town is Friendship, this is where In A Jam was based at well, and I am obsessed with all of the characters that we see come through this book.

The writing was beautiful almost poetic, even though the world building wasn’t the strongest, it still made you feel like you were there with the characters. The story made your heartache, I definitely shed some tears for what Iris had to go through. The world was definitely not what I was expecting, it was set in almost a 40’s setting with typewriters, trains, but had the fantasy aspect of gods and goddesses. I really liked this Young Adult Fantasy!

An emotional, angsty, heartfelt second-chance military romance, this book completely swept me away with its emotion and intensity, and I adored every moment of Nate and Izzy’s story.

The book is written in dual POV, and the chapters alternate between past and present. I would finish a chapter both desperate to keep going with that part of the story, yet so excited to be returning to the other part. I was sucked in by all of it, and loved the way the story unfolded!

Did anyone else count down the days until this book? lol! Not gonna lie, I was upset at first learning it was Cas's POV of the first book, but once I started reading and realized there were parts in the "present", i was more open to it. Though it didn't progress the story line alot, I definitely loved see their whole start of the relationship through his eyes. The 1st book is also my favorite so it was overall a good experience, haha!

Mom and Chan joined me once again for a fun vampire series! I love being able to read a book with them and dissect it together, lol! Mom read the whooole series while I only read the 1st book, give it a listen!

This is a world where Vampires rule over humans as a result of a war between them with the humans being on the losing side. Arianna, who's father is a leader of the rebels and leads the fight against the vampires, is captured by the vampires and sold as a blood slave. She is bought by Braith, oldest son of the King of the Vampires, and doesn't know what to expect from him or what he is up to, but he treats her with kindness and is protective of her.

This book, y'all, has all of us going crazy with theories! I'm so excited that I was able to have my sisters on the podcast to discuss this book! We finished the second part of Fourth Wing and deep dive into details that stuck out to us and the ones who BLEW OUR MINDS! Let's talk about hockey romance today <3 the spice level was kickin', the adorable forbidden romance was toasty, overall a great plot and amazing characters. Then we get to book 2 (insert hearts eyes here!) ! Another example of me liking a 2nd book better than the 1st! The characters were perfect, the chemistry and tension were on fire! You have to pick up these two books today!

My best friend came on the podcast this week! She is more selective in what she reads so I loved being able to introduce her into to the romance genre and talk about books! This book 100% lived up to its hype. I cried, not of sadness or happiness, I cried for the nostalgia that this book brought- of friendships lost, regained and the ones still growing to this day. This book was romance but combined with friendships, the hardships of growing up and how to find your happy place. Absolutely recommend.

I adored the back and forth between the main characters, the witty banter and dialogue. These two could play the game but little did they know that they would be both played. It was just a delight. Watching them fighting, arguing and flirting without any shame.

When lines got blurred, all bets were off.

Grumpy boss meets sharp tongue waitress/bartender/graphic designer/dance instructor in this Devil Wears Prada-ish inspired story, count me in! I knew I would love this book, Lucy Score hasn't lead me astray yet! It has enemies to lovers, slow burn, laugh out loud one liners, zingy comebacks and spicy scene! LOTS OF SPICE! I highly recommend!

Surprise! Husband is back for another episode and I think I made him blush? This book has been going around Tiktok so I knew I needed to read and wow was it toasty! Definitely a 5/5 spice but actually a really great story line and easy to understand plot! I low key loved it and now i'm on the 4th book!

Yes I had to do two parts to this book! There was so much that I didn't want to miss and apparently this book is causing drama on Tiktok? I loved this book. like loved. like I will be recommending this to my sister AND my mom. The twists, the reveals, the world building, absolute love.

I definitely recommend to both on the Mother/Sister Standard!

I knew this book was going to be epic. For real though it exceeded everything! I truly love this story, this town, the characters. It is so well written. We have two wounded characters that didn't even realize they needed each other! Was there attraction and insane chemistry when they first met? Of course, but their level of connection at that point has just skimmed the surface.

Nash is recovering from being shot and a target while he was on duty. Lina is running from old wounds from her past and keeping everyone at arms length.

Perfect all around!

10/10 amazing book! I would say that this book is definitely an opposites attract story. Knox is a grumpy tattooed barber while Naomi is posh-like and has a very surprisingly big vocabulary. She likes lists and making sure everyone is happy. He doesn’t really like anyone and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Watching them fall for each other was a roller coaster ride I wish I could go on again and again. It’s excellently written, I could not put it down for one second. I’ve literally been in mourning over this book and that over 500 pages was just not enough, and i'm so glad the 2nd book is finally out!

Hockey frienemies to lovers, count me in! Get ready to love a tall, flirty, praise giving hockey player named Nathan. I liked this book and their love story, the main female character Anastasia shows growth in who she is as a person and how she helps Nate grow too with some of his issues. It has very serious moments, funny moments & steamy ones too. You get to read about how their relationship matures, how they help each other, and each smart-ass remark made back and forth. Definitely good banter between characters like this!

I loved this new twist on the fake dating trope - an author pays these two to live together for 60 days and you just sit back and watch them start to fall in love! Audrey is soft, sweet and so innocent. Walker is not, he is goofy, a jokester and is surprised when he catches feelings. Oh ya and there's only one bed. I thoroughly enjoyed the way Audrey bloomed through this story and reading about these two and the fun they have together is adorable. Also I wasn't too mad about the dual point of view. This was a sweet, steamy, fun read!!

To be honest, I wasn't sure about this book thats why I didn't do an episode on it during Colleen Hoover month. It definitely redeemed itself though with the characters, plot and the elements of forgiveness and loss. I highly recommend!

A book about someone obsessed with romance books and meet-cutes? Count me in! Absolutely adorable story about a fellow book lover who just wants her happily ever ever, is that too much to ask? Looooved these characters!

Um ok new favorite book I think!? Absolutely solid read, the characters had so much life and personality that I wanted to be there with them! Who doesn't love a small town romance, seriously, queue all the heart eye emojis!

I laughed out loud SO many times during this book! Seriously in my top 10 favorites for the year. The characters were relatable, the story was perfect, and set in Ireland, for real heart eyes all the way. Definitely going to read Miranda's other books!

I immediately fell in love with this world, like you can tell that the author is just getting started with everything, i want to know more! Also Kaven understands us book obsessed individuals! I didn't find out until after I read the book that she is very popular on Tiktok and I actually already follow her too! She is one of us. The characters were so effortlessly funny, I instantly knew I would love anything Kaven writes!

One of my TOP FAVORITE books now!! Seriously the chemistry between these two characters is off the chart and it really sucked me into the story of them! "Rosie Graham has a problem. A few, actually. With over 123K reviews on Amazon, it might give you a hint on how amazing this book might be, right!? This is surprisingly a historical romance, i saying surprisingly because it honestly felt like a non fiction (Elizabeth Taylor, anyone?). The characters felt SO REAL! When we think romance, we think swoon-worthy moments - love letters/texts, and surface-level issues that are solved within the matter of a few pages. But this love was nothing near surface-level. There was love and lust, but there was also loss and betrayal. Mistakes and apologies, some that led to redemption, some that didn't. It was complete, and utter heartbreak in the best way possible. To be able to read about Evelyn Hugo was an honor, truly.

The grand finale!! Dang this book seriously was an emotional rollercoaster and wrapped everything up pretty nice! Of course i'm sad that the series is over but i'm very excited to see whats next for Tracy Wolff!
