What are you seeking in life? What holds prime significance in your heart? There are many powerful Kingdom principles we must learn and live out, but none of them can transform us if we do not “seek first the Kingdom of God.” To seek His Kingdom first means giving it ultimate priority—allowing it to shape our desires, our thoughts, and the direction of our lives. It becomes the reality we hunger for most and the atmosphere in which we long to live. When the Kingdom becomes our first pursuit, everything else in life finds its proper place. God orders what we cannot, aligns what we struggle to hold together, and fills our lives with purpose that earthly pursuits can never offer. In the end, seeking His Kingdom first is not just a command—it is the doorway to the Life we were created for in Jesus.

“Is what I am doing what God is doing?”

This is a question every follower of Jesus must ask DAILY. It reaches deeper than behavior—it confronts motive, the very thing that either sanctifies or defiles our actions. Make no mistake: God is a God of motive (Proverbs 21:2). He is often more concerned with WHY we do things than simply WHAT we do. Scripture reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain.” It is entirely possible to engage in activities God is not doing Himself and to speak words God is not speaking. The Holy Spirit longs to align our motives with His will—so that our lives reflect the righteousness of Christ and so that we walk in a way that strengthens, rather than stumbles, our brothers and sisters in the faith.

Spiritual authority is one of the most vital and often misunderstood principles in the Kingdom of God. It’s the divine structure through which God brings order, protection, and purpose to His people. Yet, in a culture that prizes independence, mocks submission, and treats authority with suspicion, this Kingdom value often feels upside down. But in God’s Kingdom, authority isn’t about control—it’s about covering; it’s not about power over others—it’s about alignment under God. Jesus Himself demonstrated perfect authority by perfect submission to the Father. When we reject spiritual authority, we step out from under the very order God designed to bless and empower us. But when we embrace it, we find freedom, unity, and strength to advance His Kingdom with confidence and peace.

In Mark chapter 12, we read about Jesus being marveled at how He saw a widow give everything she had into the treasury. Although she was extremely poor, she gave everything out of her poverty, whereas everyone else gave out of their excess. Giving and generosity are major principles within the Kingdom of God. Jesus wants His followers to give extravagantly and without any fear or doubt. There are many marks of what a true Christian looks like and how they live, and giving is a major one. This message will unpack pertinent principles about money, how to use it biblically, and the consequences of not stewarding what God has given us.

In Matthew 8, we see Christ’s response to two people who were eager to follow Him. He didn’t respond with a cheerful welcome, but rather with a warning. Does this mean that Jesus didn’t want them to follow Him? Not at all, He wanted them to understand the cost. In all the luxuries of modern life, it is easy to grow comfortable in our walk with Christ. But we aren’t called into comfort, we are called to follow Christ where He wants us to go, and in that discomfort, we find a peace beyond all understanding. This doesn’t mean we run out into every adversity we can find in order to prove our faith, but rather to fix our eyes on Him, like Peter when he walked on water, and with our entire focus on the Lord, we will walk towards Him, unhindered by the distractions and comforts of the enemy, the world, and our flesh.

This episode is part 2 of “Free as a Slave!” For this one, we will dive deeper into what it means to be a love-slave of Jesus! More specifically, we will unpack the fruit of the Spirit and face three big enemies of that fruit. These enemies are attitudes and mindsets that tend to grip our hearts when things in our lives go sideways. How much our rights are yielded to Jesus will determine how well we respond to circumstances in our lives. God's ultimate goal for us as His people is to be like His Son, Jesus, and that means learning to seek the Holy Spirit to help us overcome fleshly tendencies that can wreak havoc and chaos in our lives.

More and more, our generation cries out for more freedom and more liberties. It is within our human nature to want to be free creatures with the autonomy to chase our own dreams and pursue whatever our hearts desire. However, the bible has some ideas of what it means to be “love-slaves” of Jesus. The early church apostles and many others in church history understood something about the nature of slavery that is lost on us today. In the worldly sense, slavery to earthly masters is seen as detestable and cruel. However, slavery to Jesus is ultimate freedom! How is this, and why is it important to yield to God all of our rights and allow Him to be our master as we walk with Him?

It is as important as it has ever been that we have a solid understanding of who Jesus is and what He has accomplished. Of course we can never fully understand all there is to know about Him—we’ll need all of eternity just to scratch the surface—but we can endeavor to learn as much as possible. Tonight, we’ll jump into Hebrews 1:1-3, the great exordium of this masterpiece, to sample some deep truths about the character and work of our King.

God will provide!” It’s a statement that you have probably heard and may know to be true. However, sometimes we feel as if it’s not the truth, that God doesn't see our need or is deliberately delaying the blessing. The bible overwhelmingly tells us that God is a provider (Jehovah Jireh), and that He is quick to bless. Because of this, it is crucial that we as His people must understand the nature of His giving. How God gives is directly tied to who He is and what He is like. What are the principles of God’s provision, and how can understanding these principles help us to not only see how God gives, but help us to receive from Him better?

In this episode, Keith teaches us very practical and fundamental ways to study our Bibles so that we can have a sharper understanding of who Jesus is, as well as to be equipped to walk out the good works that God has prepared for us! If God is always at work in your life, we can expect the enemy to be at work as well. While he was tirelessly trying to complete the work God called him to finish, Nehemiah faced three enemies that attempted to delay, derail, and destroy this work. These three enemies are the same enemies that we face on a day to day basis as we walk with Jesus and lean into the things God calls us to step into and finish. What are these enemies, and how do we respond to them?

God is always wanting to speak to us. However, we are not always listening. The bible says that God is spirit (John 4:24), and that He is so grand even the highest heaven cannot contain Him (1 Kings 8:27). He is also the Creator of all known and unknown things. He always was, is, and always will be. This is His nature, and because God is all of these things and we are not, how then can finite ears hear infinite words? How can we really and truly hear from God? How can we discern whether what we are hearing is from God or our own imaginations? Does God use our imaginations to speak to us? How does God speak, and how can we listen rightly?

God is always speaking, but we are not always listening. We may be putting in effort to hear, but are we truly and honestly listening to the voice of the good Shepherd? We pray this message richly blesses you and pushes you closer to Jesus!

Standing proud before the veil in Moses’ Tabernacle was the Altar of Incense. For the Old Testament Priests, this altar was an image of continual and fervent prayer to God. Just as the fragrant incense ascended up towards where God is, so do our prayers. Today, this imagery symbolizes Christ interceding for us before the presence of the Father. Not only that, however, it is also a picture of the fragrant aroma that we, as followers of Jesus, carry as He sends us out in the world to preach the gospel of His kingdom and make disciples of Him. What does God “smell" like, and do you carry His aroma so that others around you may benefit from it?

Put yourself in the shoes of an Old Testament Levitical High Priest. The day is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It's the day all of Israel makes the necessary sacrifices and festivities to ponder about and receive forgiveness from God, who has rescued you from slavery and is promising you a land to call your own. Upon donning yourself with your priestly garments, you approach the gates of the Tabernacle with the animals that you must sacrifice on the altar. The blood shed is finished and you make your way to the laver to wash yourself of the stains. With fear and trembling, you then turn toward the tent of meeting. You take a deep breath as everyone behind you watches you stand before its entrance. You step in…

After the priests sacrificed animals on the altar in the outer courtyard of the Tabernacle, they’d move on to the Laver. This was where washing happened, symbolizing cleansing, purification, and reflection. These ideas aren't just ancient rituals—they continue into the New Testament and are meaningful today. They point to what Jesus has done and is still doing through His Holy Spirit to make us clean and pure like He is. Just as the priests couldn’t skip washing at the Laver before worshiping God, we shouldn’t overlook chances to purify our hearts. This helps us worship God genuinely and wholeheartedly. By doing so, we align ourselves with Christ's purity and holiness.

Altars. They are a major theme in both the Old Testament and the New. Where there’s an altar, there's sacrifice. In the Old Testament, God required animal sacrifices on altars so atonement for sins could be made. In the New Testament, Jesus sacrificed Himself on the altar of the cross so everlasting redemption could be made possible - but why altars? Why blood? Why sacrifices? Can’t God just forgive without the mess and suffering? There’s much more to altars than we could ever assume.

The Temple Gate was the first thing the priests saw when approaching God's Tabernacle. It was THE WAY they could access Him. Now Jesus is THE WAY to God. We follow His life and teachings through faith, producing the fruit of the Spirit. It is very hard to walk this way, but the reward is great.Small Group Sermon Guide

The God who is everywhere wants to be somewhere. All throughout scripture, God shows His people that He desires to be with His people. In the Old Testament, He wanted to be among them. In the New Testament (and today), God wants to be in you! Week 1 of the Dwell series is all about the “dedication”. Just as the Israelites dedicated the tabernacle to the Lord by ceremony, we (the current tabernacle of God) must dedicate our lives to Him by obedience! What does it mean to dedicate ours lives to Him fully and what must we rid ourselves of in order to have more of the indwelling of God?Small Group Sermon Guide

God is always at work in your life, wanting to sow “good seed” in you so that we may become the righteousness of God. The devil is also at work - wanting to sow a twisted version of what God is sowing. While the devil wants us to entertain wickedness, selfishness, and fear, Jesus desires for us to possess the fruit of His Spirit so that others may experience and see the Kingdom of God in our world. Are you a wheat or a tare? Are you genuine in your desire for more of God, or are you tempted to live as a counterfeit? What will God have from you during His harvest?Small Group Sermon Guide

The Parable of the Four Soils (also known as the Parable of the Sower) is one of the most famous and studied parables of Jesus’ teachings in the New Testament. Although captivating and interpreted/taught in many different ways, this parable is ultimately about you! More specifically, what happens to God’s Word when received by you! Will His Word be stolen, or will it die, or will it be choked by the enemy above (the devil), the enemy around (the world), or the enemy within (our flesh)? Or will it fall on good soil so it may mature and multiply so it may be enjoyed by God and those around us?Small Group Sermon Guide
