Each week we listen to a song, then we tie the song into the parsha or the current zman, and then we listen to the song a second time with a deeper appreciation. Leading the musical inspiration were Avi Wisniki, Dovid Pearlman, Dovid Rotberg, Shlomo Zomick, and Yosef Kugler. Tani Frisch on guitar and Yitzchak Koyfman on keyboard brought the sound to another level.

In this chabura we listen to “Deepest waters” from Brudr. It’s an amazing song of yearning and desiring closeness with Hashem. We connect it to this week’s Parsha by seeing the downfall of of a people who scream in complaint and not in teffilah.
In this chabura we listen to Zusha’s new song הריני מכוון. We discuss the Holy Shechina by the Avos and in Egypt. At the end we attempt to become the chariot of Hashem by using this holy and meditative song.
We listen to Akiva’s לב של אבן - heart of stone and connect it to this week’s Parsha. Pharaoh and the Jews are unable to hear Moshe speaking to them. They’re clogged up and in galus. Galus HaDaas. We ask Hashem to remove our heart of stone so we can feel life, feel the moment, feel the place, and feel our teffilah.
In this niggun chabura we listened to an amazing song called “Dying for you” from Avrhm (that’s how he spells it). We connect the song to the antisemitism and slavery in Parshas Shemos. Then we listened to the song again in a deeper way. Enjoy
