Covert emotional abuse is the type of emotional abuse that I see in the online space which is often disguised as justice-making, and accountability holding and is often targeted toward coaches, healers of therapists.

Covert emotional abuse definition as per https://www.confusiontoclaritynow.com/blog/what-is-covert-psychological-and-emotional-abuse: With covert abuse, it isn't obvious you are being abused because it’s very hard to identify and describe. The covert abuser is systematically manipulating your thinking and emotions using ongoing, subtle mind games.

This type of abuse is covertbecause it is camouflaged, as I said, under a glorified form of justice-making, and accountability holding that does not only make the victim blame themselves and be easily manipulated, but puts the abuser in a positive light - since they justify their abusive behavior reasoning a desire to make things right. The intention of this episode is to help victims of covert emotional abuse to identify their experience, validate it (the first step towards no longer being easily manipulated), and feel safe to take the steps in protecting themselves against it.

❗ This episode obviously does not refer to the action of holding accountable people causing harm - it helps you distinguish the difference between the two types of people and situations.❗
People who actually desire to create change:- have a high level of emotional intelligence, address matters in a polite and empathetic way, and are ready to repair- address matters from a grounded rather than emotionally triggered place
- are genuinely desiring to offer the other person room to improve and course correct
and their suggestion comes as a suggestion rather than a desire to be right

People who are covertly emotionally abusive:
- are projecting from a place of unresolved traumatic experiences and are not desiring to create repair
- are highly reactive and unpredictable
- use shaming tactics that are often targeted at the victim's vulnerabilities + weak spots

• How I began attracting sovereign humans that worked with me for the fun of upleveling (I used to believe that the only reason why clients would work with me was if they NEEDED me which was rooted in my wound of feeling like I could be chosen only if I am needed)

If you are attracted to my work, chances are

Yesterday, when I was creating the first course ever only for coaches, I realized that I never spoke about the most underpaid category in the coaching business - the wounded codependent healer.

The wounded healer is stuck in toxic generosity. They want to give and give, but they are often massively underpaid and not seen. They most often see people who share things like "Your free content changed my life", but are rarely seen as the expansive coaches that people would hire asap. They sell from people-pleasing, and fear can be perceived underneath their selling. They have a massive heart but are often bitter because of not being rewarded for it.

In today's podcast episode, I share about how I was blown away when I uncovered I was the wounded healer and that the reason why I wasn't making sales was that most people assumed I was on Instagram "to share free content" and did not see me as someone they would pay.Wounded healers have a tendency to overgive which causes them to be underpaid and not shine in their purpose to the extent they deserve to.
