Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 is here, and we’re breaking down EVERYTHING families need to know before heading to Magic Kingdom for Disney World’s biggest Halloween party!
In the beginning of this episode, I’m covering the basics of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, what’s new for 2026, Halloween merchandise, entertainment, characters, costumes, weather, arrival strategies, and what you should know before party night.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event at Magic Kingdom on select nights from August 7 through October 31, 2026. The official party runs from 7:00 PM to midnight, but party guests can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 PM.
The party includes trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom, special character experiences, Halloween-themed food and merchandise, PhotoPass opportunities, attraction overlays and some of my favorite Disney Halloween entertainment, including Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks hosted by Jack Skellington, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular featuring the Sanderson Sisters.
NEW for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026, Stitch is hosting an ever-changing masquerade with Lilo and Angel in Tomorrowland, and Captain Jack Sparrow is bringing new pirate antics to Adventureland.
But this episode isn’t just an overview of MNSSHP. Once we cover what you need to know about the party, we get into the REAL planning.
I’m walking you through my Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one-day guides and breaking down how I would actually plan the party for different families. We’ll talk about strategies for babies and toddlers, school-age kids, rides, character meet and greets, trick-or-treating, the Boo-to-You Parade, fireworks, entertainment, PhotoPass and Magic Shots, dining, merchandise, and how to prioritize everything when you only have a few hours.
The goal isn’t to do EVERYTHING at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s to figure out what matters most to your family and build a party night you can actually enjoy.

This episode is your complete Disney World planning guide for anyone stepping into the role of lead planner for an upcoming trip, whether this is your first time at Disney World or your tenth. I'm walking through my real planning process using our friends who are finally taking their first trip after years of us trying to convince them, but every tool and tip in this episode works no matter how many times you've already been.
I start with the three decisions every Disney World trip planner has to make before anything else can fall into place: when you're going, how you're getting there, and where you're staying. Once those are locked in, you can start dissecting your days, but not before. I talk through how we landed on our own dates, why we chose to fly instead of drive this time, and how we balanced a moderate resort stay with a couple of nights using our Disney Vacation Club points so we could stretch our budget during one of the most expensive times of year to visit.
From there I get into something most people skip completely when they're figuring out how to plan a Disney World trip, which is understanding your own planning personality, along with the personalities of everyone else coming with you. I share the Disney Enneagram quiz I use, paired with Disney characters, so you can see how a Helper plans differently than an Achiever or a Peacemaker, and why knowing this ahead of time can save you from burnout and save your group from mismatched expectations once you're actually at the parks.
I also share the free Disney World planning workbook I use for every single trip we take, and I walk through exactly how I use it with first-timers. That includes a ride questionnaire so I know ahead of time who gets motion sick, who's never been on a roller coaster, and who has specific things they love or hate, like inversions, launches, or dark rides. I cover the Disney family interest survey, which helps me figure out favorite movies and characters before we ever start building a Disney World itinerary, and the Disney vacation style quiz, which is especially useful if you're traveling with another family or group of friends and want to know ahead of time how loose or detailed their vacation style tends to be.
This episode also covers the Disney World booking window, including exactly when dining reservations, Enchanted Extras, and Lightning Lane booking open depending on your check-in date. I explain why I always tell people not to touch their actual day-by-day planning until 90 days before the trip, since that's when your 60-day dining window is approaching and most major announcements or refurbishments have already been made. I also share the six-day outlook sheet I use for early brainstorming, which lets you jot down restaurants or experiences you've heard about without locking anything in too soon.
You'll also hear about the Disney World packing list system I use for every vacation, not just Disney trips, including how I shop sales year-round and keep everything organized in one vacation box so nothing gets lost between the time I buy it and the day we leave. I talk about the outfit planner I use for coordinating looks for special dinners or park days, and why I don't expect guests traveling with us to match, even though my own family loves doing it.
Toward the end, I get into the difference between genuine Disney magic and manufactured magic, especially when it comes to character interactions, dressing kids in bounding outfits, and why some of what you see online from other Disney creators is planned more intentionally than it looks. My goal with this podcast has never been to chase virality. It's to make sure you have the facts so you can have a truly magical trip, whether that means dressing up for extra character attention or just showing up and enjoying the experience as it comes.
If you're the one in charge of pulling off a magical trip for your family, your friends, or anyone experiencing Disney World for the first time, I hope this episode gives you a clear, repeatable framework you can use for this trip and every one after it. And if you know someone getting ready for their first Disney World vacation, please share this episode with them so they can start planning with a little less overwhelm and a lot more excitement.

School is almost back in session, which means parents everywhere are preparing for one of the biggest transitions of the year. In this episode, we're talking about more than just school supplies and new backpacks. We're diving into the mental side of back-to-school season, how to prepare yourself for the return of early mornings, sports practices, homework, packed schedules, and the inevitable chaos that comes with getting everyone back into a routine. If you've been feeling a little overwhelmed just thinking about it, you're definitely not alone.
After that, we switch gears and head to my favorite place: Walt Disney World! Disney's holiday season officially kicks off before you know it, and there's already so much to plan if you're visiting this fall.
The main focus of today's episode is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We break down this year's party dates, what guests can expect, and whether there are any major changes compared to previous years. I also share why I believe we're entering a bit of a "holding pattern" for the party. While there are always small entertainment updates and merchandise changes from year to year, I don't expect to see major overhauls until Disney begins opening its highly anticipated new lands and attractions. We talk about what that means for families trying to decide if this year's party is worth attending and how to set realistic expectations before purchasing tickets.
One topic I think every fall Disney visitor needs to understand is the weather, so we spend quite a bit of time discussing what it's really like to visit Walt Disney World in August and September. These are two of the hottest, most humid months of the year in Central Florida, and afternoon thunderstorms are practically part of the daily schedule. We discuss how the weather affects park touring, what to pack, how to stay comfortable in the heat, and why knowing what to expect ahead of time can make a huge difference in your vacation experience.
We also take a quick look ahead at Disney's Christmas season. We cover the dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights, discuss what makes each event unique, and talk about why they've become some of my favorite special-ticketed events at Walt Disney World. While this episode is just an introduction, I'll be releasing dedicated episodes later that take a much deeper dive into each party, including entertainment, food, strategies, and whether they're worth the additional cost.
Before ending the episode, I share something much more personal. I ask for prayers for my dear friend Lauren as she faces an incredibly difficult battle with metastatic breast cancer. I also mention ways listeners can support her family through donations if they feel called to help. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity truly mean more than you know.

🎙️ Season 3 is officially here, and I couldn't be more excited to be back behind the mic!
After a two-month break, we're kicking off the new season with a full recap of our 10-day summer Walt Disney World vacation, and there is so much to unpack. If you're planning a Disney vacation during June, July, or August, traveling over the Fourth of July, or trying to decide which Disney resort is best for your family, this episode is packed with practical advice, honest reviews, and lessons we learned along the way.
During this trip, we stayed at Disney's All-Star Music Family Suites (the newly remodeled rooms), Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and finished our vacation in the beautiful Cascade Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I'll share what we loved about each resort, who I think they're best for, and whether I'd book them again.
One of the biggest topics in this episode is what it's actually like to visit Walt Disney World during the Fourth of July. We experienced the holiday crowds, fireworks, heat, and everything that comes with one of Disney's busiest weeks of the year. I'll walk you through what worked, what didn't, and exactly what I would change if we planned another Independence Day vacation. If you've ever wondered whether July is worth it, this episode will help you decide.
Summer at Walt Disney World is a completely different experience than visiting during cooler months, so we're also talking about how to survive the Florida heat without letting it ruin your vacation. From building in midday breaks to choosing the right stroller setup, cooling strategies, and realistic touring plans, I'll share the small decisions that made a huge difference for our family.
Of course, no summer Disney episode would be complete without talking about what to pack. I'll share the products that have become non-negotiables for our family, including cooling towels, stroller fans, portable chargers, backpack coolers, UV umbrellas, ponchos, refillable water bottles, blister prevention, sunscreen, and all of the little things that make a hot Disney day much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a complete Disney packing list, be sure to check out my Amazon Storefront, where I've organized all of my favorite Disney park essentials, Disney Cruise Line favorites, water park must-haves, stroller accessories, coordinating outfits, and products I personally use every trip.
We're also diving into one of the questions I've been getting the most over the last few months: Is Wait Magic actually worth it?
This was my first trip using Wait Magic, and I wanted to experience it exactly the way a first-time user would before recommending it. I'll explain what I loved, what frustrated me, where I think it shines, and how it compares to Standby Skipper. Both services are designed to help automate your Lightning Lane strategy so you're spending less time refreshing your phone and more time enjoying your vacation, but they approach the process a little differently. Wait Magic offers powerful automation and advance planning with extensive customization, while Standby Skipper has built a reputation for being extremely approachable and easy to use. I'll explain why I think each tool serves a different type of Disney guest and which one I would recommend depending on your travel style. Community feedback has generally praised Wait Magic's flexibility while many longtime Disney travelers continue to appreciate Standby Skipper's simplicity and reliability. (TouringPlans Discussion Forums)
As always, my goal isn't just to tell you what happened on our trip. It's to help you make better decisions for yours. Whether you're staying at Disney's All-Star Music Family Suites with a larger family, considering Caribbean Beach because of the Skyliner, debating Beach Club versus Yacht Club, planning a Fourth of July vacation, or simply wondering how to survive summer at Walt Disney World, I hope this episode helps you save time, money, and a little bit of stress.
Thank you so much for being here and for welcoming me back behind the mic. Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode because we're officially back to our weekly schedule. We have so many Disney tips, resort deep dives, vacation planning strategies, Disney Cruise Line content, and ways to keep the magic going at home coming your way, and I can't wait to share it all with you.

Planning your first Disney Cruise Line vacation? Wondering what embarkation day actually looks like with kids? Trying to decide if your family would rather cruise than do the Disney parks? This episode is for you.
After sailing on the Disney Dream for a 3-night cruise out of Fort Lauderdale, I finally understand why people become “cruise families.” My kids were genuinely mad we had to get off the ship and immediately started asking when we could go back. Honestly… I’m a little worried I created monsters because now they think every vacation should involve unlimited ice cream, kids clubs, Broadway-style shows, and room service.
In this episode, I’m breaking down our full Disney Dream cruise recap, including embarkation day chaos, kids club registration, rotational dining, what worked for our family of six, and the things I would absolutely do differently next time.
We talk about:
• What embarkation day really looks like on Disney Cruise Line
• Disney Dream embarkation tips and mistakes
• Boarding the Disney Dream with kids
• Oceaneer Club, Edge, and Vibe registration
• How long kids club check-in actually took us
• Why I don’t think 3-night Disney cruises are long enough
• Rotational dining and Disney cruise food
• What my family loved most about Disney Cruise Line
• Why Disney cruises feel so different from the parks
• The stress level difference between Walt Disney World and cruising
• Disney Cruise Line tips for first-time cruisers
• Disney cruise planning advice for families
• Disney cruise packing and travel logistics
• Things I wish I knew before sailing on the Disney Dream
I also share the emotional side of the trip as a mom and longtime Disney planner because cruising honestly surprised me. There was something about being on the ship that felt slower, easier, and more relaxing than a park vacation in a way I didn’t expect.
If you’re researching:
Disney Cruise Line for beginners, Disney Dream reviews, Disney cruise embarkation day, Disney Cruise Line with kids, Disney Cruise Line with teens, Disney cruise food, Disney cruise planning tips, first Disney cruise advice, Disney cruise family vacation ideas, or Disney Dream cruise recaps… this episode will help you know what to expect before you sail.
And yes, we absolutely discuss the post-cruise depression of having to leave the ship after only three nights.

Taking a baby to Walt Disney World for the first time is a completely different experience, especially if you are someone who has always known the parks inside and out. In this episode, we are talking about what it really looks like to bring a newborn or infant to Disney World and how much your trip changes when you become a parent.
This is not your typical Disney World with a baby tips episode. This is the honest conversation about postpartum life, motherhood, and what it feels like to navigate the parks when your body, your mind, and your priorities are different. Postpartum does not just last a few weeks. For many moms, it is a full two years of physical and emotional adjustment, and that shows up in a Disney vacation more than people expect.
We talk about overstimulation at Disney World, why rides can feel different after having a baby, and how long it actually takes to get out of the room with an infant. We also get into the reality of traveling with a group when you are the only one with a baby. Not everyone understands the need for breaks, early park exits, or slowing down, and that can lead to tension between family members and even arguments between partners.
We also cover fear of missing out, and how to reset your expectations so you can enjoy your trip instead of trying to keep up with your pre-baby Disney pace. If you have ever felt like you are missing out because you need to go back to the resort early or skip rides, this episode will help you reframe that experience.
On the practical side, we break down Baby Care Centers at Walt Disney World, including where they are located in each park and how to use them for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, diaper changes, potty training, and taking a quiet break away from the crowds. These spaces can completely change your day if you know how to use them well.
We also talk about renting baby gear at Disney World through services like BabyQuip and how having access to strollers, cribs, bottle warmers, and other baby essentials can reduce stress and make your trip feel more manageable.
If you are looking for Disney World baby tips, stroller recommendations, packing lists, or a full planning guide, head to my blog Well Hello Magic and search “babies” for detailed resources. This episode focuses on the things people do not talk about when it comes to taking a baby to Disney World.
If you are planning your first Disney World trip with a baby, traveling to Disney World postpartum, or trying to figure out how to enjoy Disney with an infant, this episode will help you feel more prepared, supported, and realistic about what to expect.

If you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation and trying to decide which Disney value resort is best, this episode breaks down everything you need to know about Disney’s value resorts, including price, transportation, room types, and which resort is right for your family.
We are covering all five Disney value resorts: Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If you’ve ever searched “Which Disney value resort should I stay at?” or “Is Pop Century better than Art of Animation?” or “Are the All-Star Resorts worth it?” this episode is for you.
We start with the history of Disney value resorts and why Disney created them in the first place. Learn how Disney went from only offering deluxe and moderate hotels to building the All-Star Resorts as an affordable on-property option, and how that decision changed Disney vacations forever. We also break down the fascinating story behind Pop Century and Art of Animation, including how half of the original resort was abandoned after the September 11 attacks and later reimagined into one of the most popular family resorts at Walt Disney World.
Then we answer the biggest planning questions families have:
We break down what each resort is known for so you can choose confidently. From why Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is often the best budget option with the most convenient bus access, to why Disney's All-Star Music Resort is the only All-Star Resort with family suites, to why Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is the most Disney-themed resort for kids and first-time visitors.
We also take a deeper look at Disney's Pop Century Resort and why it is a favorite for adults, couples, and runDisney participants thanks to Skyliner access, easy navigation, and overall convenience. And we explain why Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of the best options for larger families with its family suites, immersive theming, and functional layouts that make longer stays easier.
You will also learn about room sizes, building layouts, pools, dining options, transportation logistics, Skyliner access, and how each resort’s design impacts your daily park strategy.
Whether you are planning your first Disney trip, traveling with kids, deciding between Pop Century vs Art of Animation, or trying to stay on budget at Walt Disney World, this episode gives you a complete guide to Disney value resorts so you can book the right one with confidence.

I just got back from a whirlwind three-day solo trip to Walt Disney World, and this episode is a full, honest recap of everything I experienced. This trip was quick, but it was packed in the best way, and I’m walking you through it all from start to finish so you can see what a short solo Disney trip really looks like.
I share how this trip came together, from saying yes to a last-minute invite to navigating travel as a solo mom. I also talk about my experience flying out of a regional airport, why I continue to choose that option, and an important reminder about staying aware and trusting your instincts when traveling alone.
We dive into all three resorts I stayed at in just three days, including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, and Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. I break down what each stay actually felt like, including the subtle refresh at Caribbean Beach, the convenience of the Skyliner, and my honest thoughts on the BoardWalk remodel. If you’ve been curious about the updated BoardWalk rooms, I go into detail on what stood out and what didn’t quite meet expectations.
At EPCOT, I talk through some of the biggest highlights of the trip, including riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in 2D and why it may still cause motion sensitivity for some guests, along with Frozen Ever After and the updated faces that truly change the experience of that ride. I also spent time at GEO 82 with friends, and I share what the space is really like, who it’s best for, and why it stands out as a more elevated, adult-friendly experience inside the park.
This trip also included some incredibly unique moments, like visiting multiple Club 33 lounges, navigating a rainy park day, and experiencing Disney in a different way through a VIP tour day. I talk about what those experiences were actually like, how the weather impacted the flow of the day, and what made those moments still feel special.
One of the biggest themes of this trip was connection. I share what it was like to meet friends and fellow creators in real life, how that added a completely different layer to the trip, and why solo travel at Disney can feel both freeing and meaningful in a way that is very different from family trips.
To wrap up the episode, I also share how we are planning for our upcoming Disney Cruise, including how we are navigating current airport concerns, why we are choosing specific travel routes, and how we are building flexibility into our plans. If you have travel coming up and are feeling unsure, this part of the episode will help you think through your options.
If you love a detailed Disney trip report, are curious about solo travel, or want honest thoughts on what is new and changing at Walt Disney World, this episode is for you.

Disney has a new CEO, and if you’ve been following the leadership shifts at The Walt Disney Company over the past few years, you know this moment has been a long time coming. In this episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, I’m joined by Amanda from Once Upon a Marathon, one of my favorite creators when it comes to breaking down the business side of Disney.
Amanda is known for her thoughtful deep dives into how Disney actually operates behind the scenes, and in this conversation we unpack the full story behind the Disney CEO race and how Josh D’Amaro ultimately became the next leader of the company.
We start by going back to the beginning of the leadership transition, looking at why Bob Chapek was originally chosen to succeed Bob Iger, the challenges he faced stepping into the role just before the pandemic, and where things began to unravel during his tenure as CEO. From there we talk about the dramatic moment when Disney’s board brought Bob Iger back to stabilize the company, and why his return was always meant to be temporary.
As the company began preparing for its next chapter, a serious succession conversation began inside Disney. Amanda helps break down who the major contenders were, why Dana Walden emerged as one of the strongest candidates, and what the board may have been weighing as they looked at leaders from different parts of the company.
We also discuss the unique position Disney is in as a company that spans theme parks, movies, streaming, television, cruise lines, and consumer products, and how that complexity makes choosing the right CEO incredibly difficult.
Finally, we dive into why Josh D’Amaro ultimately stood out in the race, what his background in the parks and guest experience could mean for the future of Disney, and what fans might notice as the company enters its next era of leadership.
Amanda is incredibly insightful and brings such a smart perspective to the Disney business conversation. If you’ve ever wanted to understand how decisions are really made inside Disney, this episode is a fascinating look at the strategy, leadership, and personalities shaping the future of the company.
And as always…

In this episode, I’m sharing exactly how my family is preparing for our upcoming Disney Cruise on the Disney Dream and all the things we’ve booked, purchased, and planned to make this trip as smooth as possible. If you’re planning your first Disney Cruise with kids, this episode gives you a real behind-the-scenes look at how one family is organizing everything before we step on the ship.
I start by walking through the special extras and experiences we booked for this sailing. My girls and I will be doing Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique onboard, which is something they’ve been dreaming about, and we are also booked for the Royal Court Royal Tea, which is known as one of the most magical princess experiences on Disney Cruise Line. My husband is starting embarkation day with the World of Old Fashioneds bourbon tasting, and we’ve planned an adult dinner at Palo on the day we visit Lookout Cay.
We are planning to skip Nassau this trip so we can enjoy the ship with smaller crowds, explore more of the spaces onboard, and really take advantage of everything the Disney Dream has to offer. We’ll still be getting off at Lookout Cay, but Nassau will be our chance to relax and experience things like the adult areas, lounges, and other parts of the ship we might miss when it’s busy.
I also talk about how I budget for Disney trips, including creating a “Disney Bucks” system just for this cruise the same way I do when we go to Walt Disney World. This helps me plan for souvenirs, experiences, and extra spending so nothing catches us off guard once we’re onboard. I’m also using Easter as a way to gather items the kids need for the trip, which is a great way to slowly collect cruise essentials without feeling like you’re buying everything at once.
One of the biggest parts of cruise prep is what to pack and what to buy ahead of time, especially when you’re cruising with kids. My kids are ages five through fourteen, so we’re covering almost every stage of traveling with children. In this episode I go through the list of things I’ve purchased so far to make life easier onboard, including items like:
• Magnetic hooks for extra storage in the cabin
• Door magnets to decorate our stateroom
• Fish extender gifts for the kids
• Kids lanyards and card holders for their Key to the World cards
• Small crossbody bags for the older kids
• Walkie talkies so the kids can check in with us around the ship
• Portable phone chargers
• Packing cubes for organizing everyone’s clothes
• Towel clips for the pool deck
• Dry bags for beach and water days
• Disney trading pins for onboard pin trading
• Autograph books for characters
• Small night lights for the cabin
I also talk about our stateroom setup and why we booked two veranda rooms that sleep three to four guests each so we have a little more space while sailing.
And hopefully by the end of this episode, you’ll feel a little more prepared for your own Disney cruise adventure.

Thinking about booking your first Disney Cruise Line vacation but not sure where to start? In this episode, I’m breaking down everything I’ve learned so far about Disney cruising for beginners as someone who still considers herself a learning cruiser.
After sailing on the Disney Wish, preparing to sail on the Disney Dream, and already having the Disney Destiny booked for the future, I’ve realized that a Disney cruise is a completely different type of Disney vacation. It still has the characters, incredible entertainment, and storytelling Disney is known for, but the pace, planning, and overall experience feel very different from a theme park trip.
In this episode, I walk through what a Disney cruise actually feels like onboard, and how to approach planning your first sailing without feeling overwhelmed. We talk about the three different Disney Cruise Line ship classes and how to decide which ship may be the best fit for your family depending on itinerary, ship size, and onboard experiences.
I also explain how Disney rotational dining works, what to expect from the casual dining locations, and how the nightly Broadway-style shows and entertainment schedule work onboard. We’ll cover the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, which becomes your command center during the cruise and helps you track activities, dining schedules, character meet and greets, and daily events happening across the ship.
If you’re wondering about Disney cruise pricing, deposits, and final payment deadlines, we break that down as well. I explain when cruises are typically cheapest, how Disney cruise pricing changes over time, and what additional costs to plan for like gratuities, Port Adventures, and Enchanted Extras.
We also dive into Disney cruise excursions, including when it makes sense to book a Disney Port Adventure versus exploring ports on your own, and how to avoid common first-time cruiser mistakes.
Finally, I share a few lessons we’ve learned so far about what makes cruising with Disney special and why this style of vacation is quickly becoming my husband’s favorite Disney trip. If it were up to him, we’d probably be sailing two or three times a year.
Whether you’re actively planning your first Disney cruise, comparing ships, or simply cruise curious, this episode will give you a clear overview of how Disney Cruise Line works and what first-time cruisers should know before they book.
If you’re looking for Disney cruise planning tips, ship comparisons, cruise costs, and beginner advice, this episode is a great place to start.

Camille is my dear friend, and in this episode of Behind the Magic, you are getting the full Disneyland girl experience.
Camille is an entrepreneur, writer, Southern California native, mom of five, and married to her wonderful husband Jeff. She is also our cruise buddy. We sailed on the Disney Wish together and already have the Disney Destiny on the calendar next year. Disney is not just something she visits. It is woven into her life story, her marriage, her motherhood, and even the way she builds her business. When she talks about Disney, it is never surface level. It is thoughtful, layered, and deeply personal.
In this conversation, Camille shares what it was like growing up with Disneyland as her backyard, from her very first trip before her first birthday to collecting confetti on Main Street as a Girl Scout. We talk about how photos unlock memories, why taking babies to Disney still matters even if they will not remember every detail, and how Disneyland shifted for her as she became a young mom raising five kids. She explains how the parks became a space for connection, celebration, and intentional family time.
You will hear how her relationship with Disney evolved from child to teen to mom to Disney professional. Camille opens up about becoming the “Disney person” everyone asked for trip advice, what it was like being selected for PlanDisney, and how that experience deepened her understanding of the Disney machine behind the magic. We talk about brand stewardship, storytelling, and why Disney does not just create attractions, it creates emotional experiences.
We also dive into Disney Dreamers Academy, where her daughter was selected as a Dreamer, and the powerful impact it had not only on her child but on her as a parent. From emotional graduation moments to finding her own dreams again, this part of the episode is truly special. Camille shares what it was like to watch her child step into leadership and how Disney intentionally supports both students and parents in that journey.
We cover post-COVID Disneyland changes, local passholder realities, favorite snacks, It’s a Small World loyalty, and why sometimes the best Disney day is just sitting on Main Street with popcorn, soaking in the music, and being present. We also touch on writing for WDW Magazine and how telling Disney stories in print became a full circle moment for her.
If you love Disneyland, intentional storytelling, Disney Dreamers Academy, PlanDisney, or hearing how Disney shapes real families and real careers, this episode is for you.
Disney magic is not random. It is intentional. And Camille explains exactly why.

f you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation in 2026 and feeling overwhelmed by Lightning Lane pre-booking, this episode is for you.
Lightning Lane is not random. Sell-outs are not random. Mini drops are not random. And standby wait times are definitely not random.
In this episode, I break down Disney World Lightning Lane strategy using real data — including pre-booking rules, Multi Pass vs. Single Pass differences, and what actually sells out first in each park. We go park by park — EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios — and separate the highest demand rides by category so you know exactly what to prioritize when your booking window opens.
We cover:
• Lightning Lane pre-booking windows (7-day vs 3-day access)
• On-site vs off-site booking advantages
• The difference between Multi Pass and Single Pass attractions
• The highest demand rides at each Disney World park
• How Lightning Lane tiers impact your choices
• What “mini drops” are and when additional inventory tends to reappear
• The lowest average standby wait times by hour
• Why the final hour of park operation is often the smartest time to ride
If you’ve ever wondered:
What sells out first at Magic Kingdom?
What’s the best Lightning Lane strategy for Hollywood Studios?
Is Test Track still the hardest Lightning Lane to get at EPCOT?
When is the best time to ride Flight of Passage without Lightning Lane?
Does rope drop still matter in 2026?
Is staying on property really worth it for booking access?
We answer all of it.
Instead of panic booking at 6:59 AM, this episode teaches you how to pre-plan strategically. Instead of refreshing the app all day, you’ll understand when mini drops typically happen and how Disney adjusts availability throughout the day. And instead of assuming rope drop is always best, you’ll learn how standby wait times actually behave hour by hour across all four parks.
Every Disney park behaves differently. EPCOT rewards evening strategy. Animal Kingdom rewards early mornings and park close. Magic Kingdom rewards staying late. Hollywood Studios demands intentional planning. When you understand those patterns, Lightning Lane becomes a tool instead of a stressor.
If you want a Disney World Lightning Lane pre-booking strategy for 2026 that is calm, clear, practical, and data-backed — this episode is your starting point.
This episode is designed to give you clarity before your booking window opens, so you can make confident decisions and enjoy your Disney vacation without second-guessing every tap in the app.

Friendship can look a lot like magic and in this special Galentine’s Day episode, we’re celebrating the kind of connections that feel like home.
This week on Well Hello Magic, Jessica is joined by three women who have become far more than fellow Disney creators: Corina from The Magical Latina, Meg from Meg For It, and Lauren from Lauren Dreams of Magic. What started nearly two and a half years ago on a hosted Disney trip grew into real friendship, mutual support, and a sisterhood rooted in creativity, community, and shared joy.
Together, we talk about what Galentine’s Day really means as adults, how friendships evolve in creative spaces, and why the Disney community has a unique way of bringing people together. This conversation is about chosen family, showing up for one another, and finding connection in places that spark joy.
Meet the Creators
Meg Harrell began her journey in 2015 as a Disney-focused travel blogger. Over time, her passion for storytelling and Disney life caught the attention of the company itself, evolving her work into full-scale Disney lifestyle content. As a single mom, Meg shares what it looks like to navigate Disney both personally and professionally—often describing the parks as her “local spot,” where she works, creates, and builds meaningful friendships.
Corina, known as The Magical Latina, also started her platform in 2015. What began as couple-focused content eventually shifted into a celebration of individuality, creativity, and joy as a child-free millennial who genuinely loves the parks. Her content blends Disney food, art, and everyday magic, while emphasizing the importance of belonging, authenticity, and finding your people within the Disney community.
Lauren, your go-to local Disney expert, is frequently in the parks sharing real-time updates, event tips, and behind-the-scenes magic. Her content balances what’s happening now with timeless Disney charm, making her a trusted voice for Disney fans who want to stay connected and informed while still savoring the magic.
Disney Love Breakdown
The episode also features a fun and lighthearted game called Disney Love Breakdown, where the group competes in Disney trivia covering iconic movies, characters, and moments. The laughter, playful competition, and easy banter perfectly capture the heart of the episode—friendship that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but means everything.
What This Episode Is Really About
• Friendship as adults and why it takes intention
• How community forms in creative spaces
• The many ways women experience and share Disney
• Why there’s no “right” way to belong
• Celebrating Galentine’s Day without romance being the center
This episode is a reminder that love doesn’t only show up romantically. Sometimes it looks like women cheering each other on, inviting each other into rooms, and choosing connection again and again.
Happy Galentine’s Day.

Is the Disney Dining Plan worth it in 2026? Should your family add the Disney Dining Plan or pay out of pocket? How does the Disney Dining Plan actually work, and who is it really for?
In this episode, we break down everything you need to know about the Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World so you can decide if it makes sense for your family’s vacation.
We start by explaining how the Disney Dining Plan works, including how dining credits are calculated, how meals are redeemed, what counts as a quick-service meal, what counts as a table-service meal, and what snacks are included. We also cover what the dining plan does not include, like gratuities, unused credits, and extra menu items that still cost money.
Next, we compare pre-pandemic Disney Dining Plans vs. the current Disney Dining Plan options, including what plans no longer exist, what has changed, and why many families feel the dining plan works differently than it used to. If you’ve searched “Why did Disney change the dining plan?” or “What happened to the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan?” this episode gives you clear answers.
We also discuss Disney Dining Plan prices, value, and budgeting, including why the dining plan is not always about saving money and how it functions more as a budgeting and planning tool. With 2026 promotions like kids dining free on select packages, we explain when the Disney Dining Plan may be worth it for families with younger children and when it still may not make sense.
Finally, we answer the question families really want to know: Who should get the Disney Dining Plan and who should skip it? We talk about family travel style, flexibility, character dining, picky eaters, meal sharing, and how your park pace impacts whether the dining plan helps or hurts your vacation.
If you’re planning a Disney trip and searching:
• Is the Disney Dining Plan worth it?
• Should I add the Disney Dining Plan?
• How does Disney Dining work?
• Is the Disney Dining Plan a good deal for families?
• Disney Dining Plan pros and cons
This episode will help you make a confident, stress-free decision.

Disneyland hits differently when you experience it like a local, and in this episode of Behind the Magic, we’re unpacking exactly why.
I’m joined by Kellie Krueger, a Disneyland pass holder of over 20 years and the creator behind We Don’t Wear Ears. Kellie brings a perspective that only comes from decades of regular park visits, raising a family alongside Disneyland, and learning how to enjoy the parks without turning every visit into a checklist.
In this conversation, we talk about what it’s really like to be a long-time Disneyland pass holder, why locals approach the parks differently than tourists, and how slowing down can completely change your Disney experience. Kellie shares why weekdays, especially Tuesdays, are her go-to for park visits, how Disneyland functions as a true local hangout, and why you don’t need to ride everything to feel the magic.
We also dive into iconic Disneyland traditions like the Candlelight Processional, the reality of crowd patterns, and the key differences between Disneyland and Walt Disney World that often surprise first-time visitors. Kellie opens up about the origin of We Don’t Wear Ears, her content creation journey, staying authentic in a crowded Disney space, and why there’s no single “right” way to love Disney.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by Disney planning, burned out by must-do culture, or curious about how locals really experience Disneyland, this episode is for you.
Whether you’re planning your first Disneyland trip, visiting from Walt Disney World, or simply love Disney but want a more relaxed, intentional approach, this conversation will help you rethink how you do the parks and find joy in the moments that matter most.

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can feel magical… until it doesn’t. Between budgeting, park planning, Lightning Lane decisions, dining reservations, heat, crowds, and kids with very real limits, it’s easy for a Disney trip to miss the mark—especially for families.
In this episode, I’m breaking down the real Disney World do’s and don’ts I actually follow as a mom of four and someone who plans Disney trips regularly. This isn’t about doing Disney perfectly or squeezing every ride into one trip. It’s about setting realistic expectations, protecting your energy, and planning a trip that works for your family.
We’ll talk about why budget, time, and season matter more than most people realize—and why you truly cannot do it all at Disney World (no matter how many blogs say otherwise). I share 12 practical do’s and 12 don’ts that cover everything from mornings, food strategy, Lightning Lane, transportation, breaks, and sensory overload to the biggest planning mistakes families make.
I’ll also explain the difference between tips and hacks, why chasing hacks often backfires for families, and how to stop planning based on internet pressure instead of your real life. At the end of the episode, I share mom-specific Disney tips that make a huge difference when you’re traveling with kids of any age.
If you’re planning your first Disney trip—or trying to figure out why your last one didn’t feel magical—this episode will help you plan smarter, calmer, and with way less stress.

In this episode of Behind the Magic, Jessica sits down with Disney Parks content creator Matt Richardson for a conversation that goes far beyond a typical Disney vacation story.
Matt shares how his career in tech has taken him around the world, teaching and working with teams on how to integrate technology into everyday life. Those global work opportunities have also opened the door for him to experience Disney parks internationally, allowing Disney to become a natural extension of his travel rather than the sole reason for it. From visiting parks like Tokyo DisneySea to seeing how different cultures approach design, infrastructure, and storytelling, Matt offers a thoughtful perspective on Disney as a global brand.
The conversation also dives into Matt’s creative journey, including his background in television and how that influences the cinematic, immersive style of his content. We talk about how passion projects can grow organically, how travel shapes creativity, and why seeing Disney through a global lens can completely change how you experience the parks.
In addition to travel and storytelling, Matt opens up about running marathons as his newest personal challenge. He recently completed the Walt Disney World Marathon with a personal record finish of 3:22 and shares how running has become both a mental and physical outlet. We also discuss why RunDisney races feel different from traditional marathons, blending endurance with atmosphere, community, and Disney storytelling.
This episode is perfect for Disney fans curious about international parks, individuals and couples who love travel, creatives navigating passion projects, and runners interested in RunDisney and marathon experiences.

This week on The Well Hello Magic Podcast, we’re taking you on a full Disney journey that spans Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at Walt Disney World, the Jollywood Nights holiday party at Hollywood Studios, and the peaceful, relaxing escape of Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. If you’ve been searching for real reviews, tips, and honest experiences on Fort Wilderness campsites, Disney RV camping, DVC beach resorts, or what Jollywood Nights is like for families, this episode is packed with everything you need.
We start with a deep dive into Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, a massive 750-acre outdoor resort that truly feels like its own little world. I talk about our full experience camping in an RV at Disney, how it felt as a family of six, and why living in an RV is absolutely not my ministry… but also why I completely understand the cult following this campground has. Fort Wilderness is known for being one of the cleanest, safest, and best-run campgrounds in the country, and you can feel that Disney quality everywhere. We cover the different Fort Wilderness campsite types, RV hookups, transportation options, and all the incredible amenities like horseback riding, archery, boat transportation to Magic Kingdom, playgrounds, pools, golf carts, and the beloved Chip ‘n Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long. If you’re looking for budget-friendly Disney accommodations, this is one of the best values on Disney property—and we talk about why.
We also chat about our Resort Christmas Tour, visiting holiday decorations at Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and why exploring Disney resorts during Christmas is one of the most underrated things to do at Walt Disney World in December.
Next, we jump into a full breakdown of Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, giving you an honest look at what it’s like to attend this event with kids. We talk about the differences from attending as adults, what the entertainment felt like this year, how long the lines were, the food, the photo ops, and the new Party-Saurus Rex experience that everyone is buzzing about. If you’re researching Is Jollywood Nights worth it?, Jollywood Nights review, or tips for Jollywood Nights with kids, this part of the episode is for you.
Finally, we wrap with our stay at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, one of the most peaceful and unique Disney Vacation Club properties. This resort is the perfect blend of Disney magic and beach relaxation. We cover the amenities, the pools, the Disney Beach House on Hilton Head Island, bike rentals, fishing docks, playgrounds, family activities, and the incredibly friendly cast members who make this resort feel like home. Since Hilton Head only offers quick-service dining, we share our tips on making dinner reservations on the island and how to plan meals for your trip. The beaches were cool during our stay, but the kids still played for hours—and we’re already planning a return visit.
Whether you’re a family planning your first Fort Wilderness RV trip, curious about the Disney Hilton Head DVC experience, or deciding if Jollywood Nights is good for kids, this episode gives you real family examples, honest opinions, and helpful planning information to make your next trip magical.

Melissa from Happy Haunts Plan Magic on Instagram is joining me today, and you are going to love this conversation. She is the owner of Foolish Mortal Planning Co. and a travel expert who has helped hundreds of families plan intentional and magical Disney vacations. Recently, she had the incredible opportunity to be one of the very first people in the world to step onto the Disney Destiny. Through her partnership with the travel agency A Mouse in the Beach, she was invited on the very first preview sailing of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.
This was a three night preview designed to give travel professionals access to as much of the ship as possible. Melissa was able to see dining spaces, entertainment areas, lounges, staterooms, kids clubs, and the brand new themes that make the Disney Destiny stand out from the rest of the fleet. The ship celebrates heroic and villainous storytelling, blending classic characters with bold, dramatic design. From themed spaces inspired by Disney stories like Hercules and Guardians of the Galaxy to new entertainment offerings and elevated dining, the Destiny brings a fresh twist to the magic Disney Cruise Line is known for.
On today’s episode, Melissa shares her first impressions, what surprised her, what families should expect, and what she believes will make the Disney Destiny an instant favorite. She breaks down the feel of the ship, the atmosphere on board during the preview sailing, and the spaces she thinks guests will fall in love with. She also talks about how preview sailings work, what it is like to explore a brand new Disney ship before the public, and the small details she noticed that will matter for families, couples, multigenerational trips, and first time cruisers.
If you are considering a Disney Cruise or you are specifically looking at the Disney Destiny for a future vacation, this episode will give you a thoughtful, exciting, and helpful look at what this new ship has to offer.

If you’ve ever wondered which of these two holiday parties is right for your family, I’m breaking it all down with honest insights, practical planning advice, and real parent perspective.

You can also head to my website, wellhellomagic.com, for a full step-by-step guide and itinerary that helps you plan this event like a pro.
Then we’ll move into Disney Jollywood Nights, the grown-up holiday event that has quickly become one of the most stylish and spirited experiences at Walt Disney World. Think Hollywood glamour, jazzy Christmas tunes, character-filled lounges, and brand-new shows that truly sparkle. This year, Disney has made Jollywood more family friendly than ever before, adding entertainment and experiences that make it easier to bring the kids along while still keeping that elevated adult energy. I’ll share what’s new, what’s improved, and why this party might surprise you if you skipped it last year.
And because the holidays aren’t just about park hopping and party tickets, I’m wrapping up this episode with 10 practical tips for surviving the holiday season as a parent. From maintaining your peace to setting realistic expectations, I’ll help you slow down, set boundaries, and find moments of joy amid the chaos.
If you’ve listened to my past episodes on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or how to plan Disney during spring break, you know my goal is always to help you stress less and enjoy more. In this episode of Behind the Magic, we’re thrilled to welcome Shakira Patterson of Occasions by Shakira, a family-first creator who turns the everyday into something extraordinary. Shakira opens up about life as a military spouse, raising four children, and building a brand centered on intentional memory-making. She shares how she started her career, the unexpected path it took, and how she developed her product line (including The Occasions Bin®) to serve families looking to celebrate the moments that matter.
We talk about how Occasions by Shakira truly came to life and how she became the mom who gives the rest of us endless ideas — thoughtful teacher gifts, creative touches for holidays, practical lunch ideas that go beyond sandwiches, and little moments of magic that feel doable in real life. She shares why she loves helping families celebrate with intention and how The Occasions Bin became such a natural extension of that mission. Everything she does feels grounded in heart and practicality, and it’s clear how much care she puts into creating things that make parents’ lives easier and more joyful.
Shakira also walks through the early days of her brand, what inspired her to start sharing her ideas publicly, and the real behind-the-scenes of balancing motherhood, content creation, and the constant changes that come with military life. Her honesty about juggling all of it makes this conversation so comforting and relatable.
And of course we talk about Disney. Our shared love for the parks, the nostalgia, the memories we’re creating with our kids, and the way Disney inspires our creativity brought out such a fun and natural flow in this episode. We kept finding these little common threads in how we see motherhood, family traditions, content creation, and finding joy in the middle of a busy life.
This conversation feels warm, real, and full of heart. If you’re someone who loves thoughtful ideas, intentional memory-making, and hearing the story behind a brand that brings so much joy to families, you’re going to love this episode with Shakira Patterson.

In this week’s episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, I’m sharing our family’s recap of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World. This was one of those quick Disney trips that filled our cups completely, and we packed in so much magic. From driving to Disney with kids to candy trails and fireworks, this episode covers it all.
We start by talking about what it’s really like to drive to Disney as a family. I share our best tips for long car rides with kids, how to break up the drive so it feels manageable, and how to make it part of the fun instead of just a chore. On my blog, you can find my full guide with three different ways to drive to Disney based on your family’s needs.
Next, we cover one of those small but important details parents forget until the last minute — the school vacation request form. I explain what we include, how to make it sound educational, and why it’s helpful to plan ahead so teachers know what to expect.
Then we dive into everything Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This year, we skipped character lines and focused on the shows, fireworks, and trick-or-treat trails. The candy trails were incredible, and the allergy-friendly option worked perfectly for our crew. We watched the Boo-to-You Parade, saw the Cadaver Dans, and ended the night with the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks. We grabbed dinner at Pecos Bill and took our time soaking in all the fall décor and atmosphere before heading out. Sometimes skipping the big moments and slowing down is exactly what makes the night memorable.
Before heading home, we rented a pontoon boat on Bay Lake, which was one of the highlights of the trip. It’s such a calm and beautiful way to see Disney from a different perspective, and it’s a great family activity for a non-park day. We also spent some time at the Community Hall before checkout — another hidden gem for families who want a slower pace before traveling home.
This episode is full of tips for making quick Disney trips more magical, slowing down to enjoy the details, and keeping the nostalgia alive while traveling with kids. Grab a pumpkin spice latte and listen in as we talk about Halloween fun, family adventures, and finding little moments of calm in the middle of all the Disney excitement.

I am so excited to welcome Amanda Kass from Once Upon a Marathon back to the podcast. Amanda is a certified running coach, an incredible content creator, and one of my favorite people to talk to about all things Disney. She is not only an expert in runDisney but also someone who pours her heart into helping others reach their running goals.
Amanda began running in graduate school and has since completed countless Disney races, including the Dopey Challenge, which is one of the most intense and inspiring accomplishments in the runDisney community. On her website, she offers training plans, registration guides, race weekend tips, and strategies designed to help you cross the finish line feeling strong and confident. She provides clear, detailed, and practical information that runners can trust, whether they are preparing for their very first 5K or another marathon weekend.
But Amanda’s knowledge goes far beyond the races themselves. She is known for her deep dives into Disney business news and strategy. She has a special gift for taking complicated information and breaking it down in a way that anyone can understand. Whether it’s major updates, policy changes, or important lawsuits, she shares everything with clarity and insight. My personal favorite deep dive is her coverage of the Disney lawsuit. She is always my first stop for smart and thorough updates.
More than anything, Amanda is a wonderful person and a great friend. She has built a supportive and knowledgeable community that encourages runners to dream big and believe in what they can achieve. She has a genuine love for Disney and for the running community, and it shines through in everything she creates.
You can find her on Instagram at @onceuponamarathon and on her website www.onceuponamarathon.com
, where her training guides and resources are available. This conversation is going to be such a good one, and I cannot wait for you to hear it.

Planning a Disney trip is magical, but it is not always perfectly polished. Sometimes it is a little last minute, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun. In this episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, we are diving into two big topics: finding the best places to work remotely while at Walt Disney World Resort and tips for pulling off a last-minute Halloween trip like a pro.
First up, let’s talk about remote work at Disney. Whether you are a content creator, a parent squeezing in a few hours of work, or someone who needs to check in with the office before heading to the parks, finding the right spot to open your laptop matters. We are going beyond the obvious and exploring some of my favorite quiet corners and hidden gems around the parks and resorts. Think comfy seating, good Wi-Fi, low foot traffic, and just the right amount of background magic to keep you inspired. From tucked-away lounges at Disney's Riviera Resort to the airy Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort and even a few sneaky park spots like the upstairs of Columbia Harbour House, these are the spaces where magic meets productivity.
Then, we switch gears and talk about what happens when you plan a Disney trip at the last second because that is exactly what I am doing right now. I changed my Halloween trip plans just 10 days ago, and yes, we changed our costumes again this week. I am sharing how I keep my sanity while planning on the fly, where to focus my time and energy when the countdown clock is ticking, and the real talk on what you can and cannot accomplish when planning a Disney vacation last minute. Spoiler: it is absolutely still magical.
I am also sharing how I will be testing out Wait Magic, a trip-planning app that reached out to me. I want to see if it actually lives up to the hype for real-time wait times, strategy tips, and crowd patterns. If it works well, it might just become part of my toolkit for helping you plan smarter and stress less on your own trips.
So if you have ever wondered:
• Where can I actually work remotely without the chaos of Main Street USA?
• How do you plan a Disney trip in a week or two without losing your mind?
• Is it still worth going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last minute?
• How can new planning apps help keep me organized?

This week’s episode is extra special because my sister, Nicolette, joins me for a heartfelt conversation about our family’s multigenerational love for Walt Disney World. We grew up as true “Disney kids,” with parents who made magical memories a family tradition — and that legacy still shapes who we are today.
Together, we reminisce about our earliest park trips, the ways Disney has influenced our values, and how those experiences have carried into our adult lives. Nicolette shares her unique perspective as a woman in business, the ways she supports other women entrepreneurs, and what she hopes for her own family’s future Disney trips.
We also talk about how we grew up in the same Disney-loving family but took different paths — why I became a self-proclaimed Disney adult, and why she didn’t. From park memories to legacy conversations, this episode blends nostalgia, family stories, and practical tips for creating magical trips of your own.
Whether you’re planning your first visit or continuing a family tradition, this episode will make you laugh, reflect, and maybe even inspire your next Disney adventure.

I walk you through every detail of our trip, from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Moonlight Magic at Animal Kingdom to our stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village. We also explore the resort side of the holidays — from the incredible gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian and Beach Club to the breathtaking Christmas trees at Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and beyond.
Throughout the episode, I’ll teach you how to plan an intentional Disney Christmas vacation — one that balances the sparkle and excitement of the season with a sense of peace and joy. Planning a Disney trip is one of the most exciting things a family can do, but it can also be one of the most overwhelming. With so many rides, restaurants, resorts, and extras, it’s easy to feel like you need to do everything, eat everything, and see everything in just a few days. The truth is, most families approach Disney the wrong way, and it leaves them stressed, overscheduled, and overspent. In this episode, I’m sharing the real Disney advice that might hurt your feelings a little but will absolutely make your vacation better. These are the tips that I’ve learned after years of visiting Disney World with my own four kids, taking multi-generational trips with grandparents, and talking to countless families who thought they had it all figured out until they got to the parks.
The first piece of advice is that you cannot do it all. Disney World is simply too big, and if you try to squeeze everything into one trip, you’ll end up tired, cranky, and disappointed. Instead of trying to “win” Disney by riding every ride, the smarter approach is to prioritize what matters most to your family and let the rest go. Another piece of advice that stings for a lot of people is that the Disney Dining Plan isn’t always worth it. Disney markets it as a way to save money, but for many families, especially those with kids who don’t eat like adults, it ends up costing more than paying out of pocket. It can feel frustrating to hear that, but knowing it in advance can save you hundreds of dollars and make your meals less stressful.
Another mistake families make is refusing to slow down. Disney is not the kind of place where you can go nonstop from morning until night without consequences. I always recommend a midday break, whether that means swimming at the resort, taking a nap, or just sitting in the shade. It feels counterintuitive when you’ve paid so much for park tickets, but skipping that break often leads to meltdowns—for both kids and adults. The same goes for traveling with grandparents. Multi-generational trips are wonderful, but assuming grandparents will have the same stamina as kids is unrealistic. Planning time to rest and adjusting expectations keeps everyone happy.
One of the most important things to remember is that while Disney is incredibly safe, kids can still get lost in the parks. Having a plan for what to do if that happens is essential. Equip kids with a MagicBand, show them how to find a Cast Member, and pick a meeting spot. It’s advice that some parents don’t want to think about, but it makes a huge difference if you ever face that situation. Finally, don’t assume that Disney pixie dust will fix everything. Special moments sometimes happen, but they a

From the brand-new Disney Animation building opening soon at Hollywood Studios to the debut of Zootopia: Zoo-Better Together on November 7, we’ll explore what these changes mean for your next Walt Disney World vacation.

this episode, we’re diving headfirst into the world of Disney trip planning — specifically, what it’s really like being the lead planner. You know…the person in charge of flights, G+ strategy, resort picks, dining reservations, and making sure your cousin doesn’t Venmo you two weeks after the trip is over. 😅
Whether you’re coordinating a multigenerational vacation, a besties’ weekend getaway, or just trying to keep your own family alive and joyful inside Magic Kingdom, I’m breaking down the mental load lead planners carry — and sharing some of my tried-and-true resources, systems, and tips to make it less stressful and way more magical.
Then, I’m catching you up on our wild summer Disney adventures. In July, we spent a full 10 days on property — tackling the parks in peak heat, trying every snack Twinkie the Kid put out in the name of research, pool hopping like professionals, squeezing in midday naps at the resort, and perfecting the art of getting our kids to watch fireworks without anyone having a total emotional breakdown.
And just to keep my stress levels high, I turned around and flew right back a few weeks later for a Disney creators’ weekend, which included:
Finally, we’re chatting about what’s new in the world of Disney planning right now and I’m giving you all of my favorite current tips and tricks — from handling Genie+ with grace (kinda) to keeping grandparents happy, to saving your sanity with one simple rule: remember who needs the stroller.

Meanwhile, our littlest traveler enjoyed a slower-paced day back at the resort with the grandparents and yes, that was part of our strategy too. We’re heading to Walt Disney World this summer for 10 full days of magic — and what started as just our family’s adventure has now turned into a full-on family reunion! Midway through the trip, we’ll be joined by my husband’s side of the family, adding NINE more people to the fun. We’re talking all four parks, both water parks, an unforgettable night at H2O Glow, and some good eats at The Boathouse at Disney Springs.
In this episode, I’m sharing how we’re planning for both halves of the trip, what it’s like coordinating a large group (for only part of the time), and how we’re making the most of summer at Disney — including poncho and Crocs weather, navigating those midday thunderstorms, and finding the sweet spot between rope drop and park close without melting in the Florida heat.
Plus, I’ll walk you through why this might be one of the quietest summers we’ve seen in a while (hello, Epic Universe 👋🏾), and how to take advantage of summer discounts and flexible planning during this season.
If you’re planning a summer Disney trip, this one’s packed with real talk, pro tips, and everything you need to know to survive — and THRIVE — at Walt Disney World in the summer heat.
☀️ Grab your fan, your refillable water bottle, and let’s go!

In this episode, I’m taking you on a special journey through our upcoming resort-only stay at Walt Disney World, where we’re skipping the theme parks and embracing the magic of the resorts. We’ll be staying at the vibrant Art of Animation Resort and having the best time ever, just soaking up the relaxation by the pool and indulging in some fun resort activities. I’ll walk you through our plans to experience the magic of Disney without the park tickets, showing you that there’s so much to enjoy beyond the parks!
We’re kicking things off with a dinner at one of our favorite spots—Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, where we’ll savor delicious African-inspired cuisine and take in the amazing savanna views. Afterward, we’ll head over to Fantasia Gardens for a round of mini-golf, enjoy the charm of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort with its nighttime entertainment, and maybe even stop by Cake Bake Shop for one of those massive, decadent slices of cake that are too good to resist.
I’m also diving into all the fun activities offered at Art of Animation Resort, including the monthly activities that make staying there so unique and special. I’ll share how my family and I plan to spend our time, creating memories without the need for a park ticket. From scavenger hunts to movie nights, there’s plenty to do at the resort itself.
But that’s not all! I’ll talk about some of the amazing character dining experiences you can enjoy at other resorts. Whether it’s the charming Topolino Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, the fun Cape May Minnie’s Breakfast at Disney’s Beach Club, or our all-time favorite Chef Mickey at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there are character meals that bring magic to your table, no theme park required.
This episode is all about embracing the magic of Walt Disney World Resort outside the theme parks and showing you how you can enjoy a relaxing yet adventure-filled getaway with your family. From delicious meals to resort activities, there are countless ways to experience the enchantment without ever setting foot in a theme park. Tune in for tips, ideas, and inspiration on how to make the most of your resort-only stay!

In this episode of Well Hello Magic, we’re taking a deep dive into one of the biggest game-changers in Orlando theme parks—Universal’s Epic Universe. This brand-new park is set to reshape how families plan their Florida vacations, and we’re here to break down every detail.
Will Epic Universe finally shift the balance of power in Orlando, or will Walt Disney World remain the reigning champion of family entertainment? With cutting-edge technology, immersive new lands, and an expansion unlike anything Universal has done before, we explore how this park stacks up against Disney’s offerings.
We’ll take you through each new attraction at Epic Universe, from Super Nintendo World to the How to Train Your Dragon land, and discuss whether Universal has finally designed a park that caters to all ages—including toddlers and younger kids. For years, Universal has been known as the thrill-seeker’s destination, but has this new addition changed that perception?
Another big question: Is Universal Studios still a quick add-on to a Disney World trip, or has it become a vacation destination in its own right? We’ll discuss whether a split-stay between Disney and Universal is the best approach or if Universal has finally reached the level where families can dedicate an entire trip to its resorts and parks.
And what does this mean for Disney? With Universal aggressively expanding, is Disney feeling the pressure to innovate faster, or will its legacy and loyal fan base keep it ahead? We’ll analyze the competition, speculate on Disney’s response, and discuss whether Universal could truly rival Disney’s dominance in Orlando.
All that and more in this episode of Well Hello Magic! If you love theme park strategy, insider tips, and deep dives into the biggest industry trends, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.
🎧 Tune in now and let’s talk theme parks!

Get ready for a magical episode as I welcome my friend Kris from Happily Ever Park Hoppers to the podcast! We’re both Disney moms—I have four kids, and she has two teenagers—so this trip was a rare opportunity for us to experience Disney without our families. We’re also both military wives, which gives us a unique perspective on Disney travel and how we make the most of military discounts and benefits.
Even though we share a love for Disney, our experiences growing up were different—Kris was raised going to Disneyland, while I grew up going to Walt Disney World. So, this trip was a perfect blend of our perspectives as we explored the parks together!
We stayed at SpringHill Suites, Dolphin Resort and Coronado Springs, giving us a chance to compare two very different resort experiences. Our trip was packed with excitement, from witnessing the Super Bowl Parade featuring MVP Jalen Hurts in Magic Kingdom to immersing ourselves in EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, one of Disney’s most visually stunning events of the year. Of course, no trip would be complete without a ride on our all-time favorite attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
We also had an unforgettable dinner at Rose & Crown, securing a front-row view of Luminous: The Symphony of Us, EPCOT’s breathtaking nighttime spectacular. Throughout the trip, we explored Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom, hitting up shows and rides we often miss when traveling with our families.
But that’s not all—this episode includes exciting updates on our latest ventures! I share details about my 2026 Walt Disney World retreat, and Kris talks about her brand-new journey as a Disney travel agent.
If you love Disney trip planning, park strategies, and behind-the-scenes insights into Disney content creation, you won’t want to miss this episode! You can also watch the full video version on YouTube at Well Hello Magic, where we share footage and photos from our trip.

We dive into how checking in with your kids throughout the day can make all the difference. After all, kids don’t start crying without reason! We share practical tips on asking the right questions—“Are you tired? Hungry? Do your feet hurt? Need a hug?”—to catch early signs of overstimulation and create natural breaks that keep the day joyful for everyone.
Plus, we unlock the secret to maximizing your park experience by using the Lightning Lane multi pass. Learn why saving your top-priority attractions for later in the day—especially when staying on Disney property—can give you a major advantage, letting you enjoy the best of both planned adventures and spontaneous delights.

Kris is back on the podcast as we recap our Walt Disney World vacation together! We had the ultimate girls' trip, starting with a brunch and meeting up with friends at Summerhouse on the Lake, located at Disney Springs. We also visited a candle shop, picked up some scents, and enjoyed the best activities around Mother's Day at Disney Springs. Then we had dinner at 1900 Park Fare, the newest character meal to return to Walt Disney World Resort, located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We topped it off with a visit to the Enchanted Rose, which is the second-floor lounge also located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
We spent the next day at all four parks doing a Four Park challenge, which consisted of riding a roller coaster, meeting a character, and having a snack. We walked well over 13 miles this day but were able to do a lot at all of the parks. We're even giving you all the tips and tricks on how to do your own Four Park challenge, especially if you have only one day at the park and want to maximize it.
We ended our trip with breakfast at 'Ohana, which is the best friends' breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. Then we had a magical afternoon at Disney's Animal Kingdom, where we met some special characters during the Earth Week celebration.

I will discuss each of the resorts, sharing my favorite aspects about them as well as some things I wish could change. I will also provide a general ranking to help you decide which resort is best for you. In this area, you have the Disney BoardWalk Inn and Villas, Yacht and Beach Club, and the Marriott resorts - Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve.

In this podcast, we will cover a lot of things happening at Walt Disney World. First, we will recap Tiana's Bayou Adventure and the upcoming DVC and annual passholder previews. It officially opens on June 28th to the public and will be accessible through Genie+ and a virtual queue.
In the next few weeks, we are heading to Disneyland, and planning for Disneyland has been quite different. I will discuss our current strategy. Disney dining is much easier here than anywhere else!
After that, we will be visiting Disney World a couple more times - for my 40th birthday, in July for summer, and for Christmas. The Christmas trip is shaping up to be more like a traditional visit.

Let's dive into the topic of character dining, which can add an extra layer of excitement to your Disney trip. Character dining is an experience where you can enjoy a meal with your favorite Disney characters. You can find character dining options in the Disney parks and the resorts. Some of the popular character dining options in the parks include Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace.
Many people stress over getting all the reservations to character dining meals, but it's important to consider why you should or should not do character dining. One reason to do character dining is to save you time in the parks. Instead of waiting in a long line to meet a character, you can enjoy your meal and interact with the characters as they visit your table. It's also a great way to get pictures with the characters without worrying about the crowds.
It's essential to consider the cost of character dining. Prices can vary depending on the restaurant and the time of day. For example, dinner is typically more expensive than breakfast or lunch. Some restaurants, like Cinderella's Royal Table, require pre-payment. To avoid any surprises, it's important to review the menus and prices before making your reservations.
When considering character dining, you should also consider how long it takes to enjoy a character meal. Character dining experiences generally last around an hour and a half, so it's important to plan accordingly. You can consider whether it's better to do it on a rest day or use it as a break while at the parks.
With so many character dining options, choosing the most suitable one for your family is important. Some restaurants have specific themes, like the Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table, while others have a broader range of characters, like Chef Mickey's. You should review the restaurant's menus and characters to ensure that it's a good fit for your family.
Finally, it's worth noting that there's no need to overload your trip with dining. While character dining can be a fun and memorable experience, plenty of quick-service dining options are available throughout the parks and resorts. You can always mix and match your dining experiences to create a balance that works for your family and your budget.

Booking Genie+ for a large family group can be daunting and requires careful planning and attention to detail. However, the strategy for booking is actually quite similar to booking for a smaller group. The main differences lie in the planning and the work of the planner.
In a podcast that discusses this topic, you can learn how to book with a large group and the difference between planning for a group of friends versus a multigenerational trip with family. Planning for a large family group involves:
In addition, there is a significant difference between having kids and young children. You must consider their needs, such as stroller accessibility, child-friendly rides, and safe and enjoyable activities for children of all ages.
Overall, the key to successfully booking Genie+ for a large family group is planning, communicating effectively, and being flexible. With careful planning and attention to detail, you can ensure your family has a memorable and enjoyable experience at the theme park. But also YOU as the planner has an amazing time!

In this podcast, I will be sharing various strategies that can help you make the most of your visit to Animal Kingdom. Although it's a relaxed park, many visitors tend to skip Genie+ on this day, believing it to be unnecessary. However, I suggest that you consider using Genie+ at Animal Kingdom as it can make your day more enjoyable by allowing you to bypass the long lines. Moreover, it frees you up to experience all of Animal Kingdom's entertainment without having to worry about lengthy queues.
Animal Kingdom has the highest average wait times due to Flight of Passage and Na'vi River, which can result in waits ranging from 45 minutes to 3 hours, consuming most of your day. However, you can prepare for those wait times by planning your day accordingly. Unfortunately, there are very few strategies to avoid the Flight of Passage wait time. Na'vi River is not worth an 80-minute wait time. It's essential to plan your day and prioritize which attractions you want to experience the most.
In conclusion, I hope this podcast provides enough information to help you maximize your day at Animal Kingdom by using Genie+. With proper planning, you will be able to make the most of your visit and experience all of Animal Kingdom's attractions without having to spend too much time in line.

Today, I am thrilled to begin a journey with the Disney Dreamers Academy - a life-changing initiative that inspires young minds to dream big and empowers them to achieve their goals. This program provides an incredible opportunity for young people to unlock their potential and create a bright future for themselves.
Over the weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Disney Dreamers Academy parade and various workshops as a media guest. The parade was an incredible experience, filled with excitement and energy. I saw firsthand the passion and enthusiasm of the young dreamers as they marched through the park, waving and smiling at the crowd.
During the workshops, I witnessed the transformative power of this program as the dreamers learned from some of the most accomplished and inspiring individuals in their fields. I was particularly moved by the sessions on entrepreneurship, leadership, and creativity, which encouraged the young dreamers to think outside the box and pursue their passions.
Overall, the Disney Dreamers Academy is an incredible program that truly ignites the spark of possibility in young minds. I am honored to have been a part of this amazing weekend and look forward to seeing the incredible things these young dreamers will accomplish in the future.

In this podcast, I will share some comprehensive tips on navigating Epcot with the help of Genie+. Epcot is undoubtedly one of the most loved parks by families, due to its plethora of high-demand rides as well as many low-wait-time rides, which help balance out the park experience.
If you are planning to stay at a Crescent Lake resort and enter the park from the main entrance at the International Gateway, my goal is to help you decide on the best strategy. For guests staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, I will provide you with a couple of different scenarios for using the main entrance at EPCOT to maximize your day based on your family's priorities.
Moreover, I will also provide some valuable strategies for offsite guests to help you make the most of your day. Even if you want to start late, since there is not an opportunity for rope drop at EPCOT, I will teach you how to stack Genie Plus options so that you can sleep in, come to the park, and stay until it closes, reducing fatigue by not starting super early. With my tips and tricks, you can make the most of your day at Epcot and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones.

In this podcast, I will be sharing a comprehensive guide on navigating Hollywood Studios with the help of Genie+. Hollywood Studios has the least amount of rides of any Disney park, but it is packed with many exciting attractions, including several high-demand rides with height requirements. This can be a challenge for families with toddlers or young ones who don't meet those requirements. Therefore, intentionally planning your day is essential to make the most of your time at the park.
One of the first things to remember is that even if a child meets the height requirement, they might need more time to be ready to experience some of the more intense rides, such as the Tower of Terror. Therefore, assessing if the ride is suitable for your child's age and temperament is crucial before using Genie+ to book your spot.
Another thing to consider is that Hollywood Studios offers many shows and dining experiences that are worth experiencing. So, it's wise to have a balanced day and not just focus on the rides. Sometimes, the little things are what make Disney magical, and you want to take advantage of those moments.
To maximize your day at Hollywood Studios, I recommend using Genie+ to book your ride times for high-demand attractions, such as the popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. You can also use Genie+ to book ride times for the Toy Story Mania and Alien Swirling Saucers, which are family-friendly rides that everyone can enjoy.
In conclusion, Hollywood Studios is a fun and exciting park to visit, but careful planning is required to make the most of your time there. By following the strategies I've mentioned, you can ensure that you have a memorable and enjoyable experience at the park.

I am interrupting this program to share a podcast about planning for Disney trips. While we are continuing with our genie plus planning series, I wanted to add a bonus episode this week to talk about some of the biggest trips I have planned this year.
I'll discuss planning for Disneyland and California Adventure in today's podcast. Specifically, I'll talk about how we plan to extend our trip to Southern California to ensure we have the most magical vacation ever. This includes things like planning our parks table service and selecting our Disney outfits. We want to make sure that we make the most of our visit to the park, especially since the intellectual property available at the Disney parks in California vastly differs from what is available at Walt Disney World Resort.
Next, I'll share details about our upcoming Christmas trip to Walt Disney World. This is a very special, magical trip, as we will be going with my mother-in-law, aunt, and niece. My niece and aunt have never been to Walt Disney World before, so I am excited to share their first-time experience with you to the most magical place on earth, and I cannot wait to share every step of the way with you.
Lastly, I'll talk about my 40th birthday celebration at the most magical place on earth. It's an exciting milestone, and I am thrilled to spend it with a group of girlfriends I've had since Beth for a lifetime. I'll share some of the details going into planning this vacation, and I can't wait to share the experience with you.
Thank you for joining me today, and I hope you enjoy the podcast.

I am excited to share that we have finally overcome our 'Disney Blues' after eight long years and are now eagerly planning our trip to Disneyland. However, our reservation at the Grand Californian for September 2020 had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, we are determined to build our dream vacation and make the most of our trip.
We cannot wait to experience the magic of Disneyland, from the classic rides like Pirates of the Caribbean to the newer attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Our plan is to explore every corner of the park and compare it to our home park at Walt Disney World.
We are also looking forward to trying out all the amazing places to eat, meeting the beloved characters, and enjoying the shows and parades. Disneyland offers so much, and we are confident that this will be a memorable experience for us. I am excited to share my inner thoughts as I take the first steps in planning my family's magical vacation.

Our recent family vacation to Walt Disney World with my best friend's family was absolutely fantastic! We spent our time exploring three parks throughout our trip using the convenient Park Hopper ticket, which allowed us to move freely between parks at our leisure. We also indulged in a VIP tour, which was an incredible experience and gave us an exclusive look behind the scenes of the park.
In addition to visiting the parks, we also spent two fun-filled days at the water parks and played mini-golf, which was a delightful experience. However, the most memorable part of our trip was undoubtedly the makeovers we arranged for our girls at Bounding Beauty and the boys at Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique . The makeovers were a unique and magical experience that we will cherish forever.
As we reflect on our trip, we realize there were some activities that we would repeat and others that we would do differently on our next visit. One activity we recommend is watching the new fireworks show at Epcot called Luminous. It was mind-blowing and left us all in awe. Overall, this was an unforgettable trip that we will never forget.

In this podcast, I will take you on my almost two-year journey of using Disney Genie Plus at Walt Disney World. Disney Genie Plus debuted in October 2021, replacing the old free FastPass+ system. While FastPass+ had its flaws, many people complain that Walt Disney World now requires you to pay to skip the line. However, it's worth noting that most major theme parks in America have a pay-to-skip-the-line service.
In this podcast, I will share the strategies and tricks that I have learned over almost two years of using the Disney Genie+ service. We use this service every time we visit the park to make the most of our time and minimize stress. I hope that the information I cover in this podcast will help you maximize your time and have a better experience at the Disney parks.

In my opinion, this is the epitome of the Disney experience - and a must-see for any fan of the franchise.

I am so excited to have Amanda from Once Upon a Marathon on the podcast today! Amanda is a wealth of knowledge regarding runDisney and training schedules. She began running in graduate school and had run numerous races at Walt Disney World, including completing a Dopey Challenge. She is a pro and a content creator you can trust when planning your runDisney Trips.
She is also known for her deep dives into all things Disney Business! She breaks down Disney news and business in a simplified form so that we can all understand the shop of what is happening. She does all this while staying natural, giving us the fact that we may not know and keeping us updated on the changes.
My personal favorite deep dive is into all things in the Disney lawsuit. Amanda is the first place I go for updates.
You can find her at Once Upon a Marathon on Instagram and her website www.onceuponamarathon.com. Training guides are available on her website!

Today's podcast talks about the last few weeks before your Disney Vacation that is so stressful.
It doesn't matter where you're going when packing for a family to go on vacation. It is one of the most stressful situations you can imagine. First, you must ensure everyone has all the clothes you need. If they were matching outfits, you need to ensure they were ordered early enough to ensure everyone gets the pieces they need before you go.
Our weather elements to consider, when you have a toddler or a baby, you have to make sure you have all the right gear for them to make it a successful trip. Whether you're going to Walt Disney World or Hawaii, it doesn't matter. Planning, prepping, and packing is stressful, but it is always worth it once you're on vacation.
He doesn't get any better than knowing that you have all the items that you need for a successful trip, and the wonderful thing about going to Walt Disney World is if you forget it. Also, if you need something, you can always use target delivery, Instacart, or send it via Amazon to your resort.
Then I go over my planning workbook, which is a tool that will help you not only pack and prep for Walt Disney World but for any vacation that you are going on with children. This detailed timeline gives you an overview of all the little tasks that need to be done around the house, items that need to be ordered for your children, and little things that lead up to 48 - 24 hours before you leave the house.

In todays podcast I go over all things, Deluxe Resorts, including the Deluxe Villas, which are the Disney Vacation Club portion of the deluxe resorts.
I go over why we decided that ownership was the best route for my family and give you some things to think about to decide if ownership is the best thing for your family. If you don't want to purchase into Disney vacation club, I also go over how to rent DVC points through the DVC Rental Store Saving you up to 30% on your Disney Vacation Club Room!
I also talk about the differences between Deluxe Villas and the Resort Side of the Deluxe Resorts. That way you know what to expect. If you decide that you want to stay in a Disney vacation club room, there are a lot of differences between the room the biggest one is that in the one-bedrooms in larger room you have a washer dryer and a full kitchen.
For more information head to my website to check out the blogs on DVC and DVC rentals.

My best memories at Walt Disney World are going in large groups with my family and friends. But now, as an adult, I realize how tricky the dynamics of large groups can be if you are going with multiple families and all want to do different things.
As we prep for our July Disney trip with my cousin, another family, and their family coming, we will have 15 - 17 people at any given time. Make sure we get to everything each family wants and find balance in different Disney styles.
In this podcast, I review how to set yourself up for success. It can't cover everything in 20 minutes, but I try to cover as much as possible to guide you in creating a family vacation everyone will remember.

It is halfway to the holidays, and we could not be more excited for this upcoming season at Walt Disney World. There are so many returning things like Mickey's very merry Christmas party, the animal menagerie at Disney's animal Kingdom, and we are thrilled to have all of those things back. It feels like since Covid. We're always waiting on pins and needles to see what events will return.
One of the best things that we have her this year is at Hollywood. CVS is getting its own after hours holiday party and it seems like it's going to be so much fun. Dress to impress and it has different themes for each neighborhood at Hollywood studios. We cannot wait for Jollywood Nights.
Did I wrap up this podcast going over some of my favorite resorts the tour during the holiday season and some activities that you can even do at Disney Springs. There is so much to look forward to this Christmas season at Walt Disney World and we cannot wait!

And this podcast episode I go over what it is like to do an in person run Disney event. I have only done virtual races at home, which has been an awesome experience, but I had a friend who really pushed me to come in person because she wanted me to experience that run Disney events were like nothing else. And she was right! I had an awesome time doing it in person event, so much that I am planning on going back to the Princess Race. Many asked why I picked the Princess Race but that is because I love everything Princess!
Next year, my daughter and I plan on doing the 5K race together and I am turning it into a girls weekend to have my mom and sister all come along with me. Let me give you the ins and outs of some of the things that I would do differently as a second time Disney racer. Also, be sure to check out my friend at once upon a marathon she is an awesome Content creator, who covers all things run Disney!

Summer in Disney is HOT HOT HOT! It is a wonderful time to travel to walk at Disney World, and crowds are higher but not holiday high. However, there are a few things to expect, daily rain, high heat, and using park strategy!!
In this podcast, I will give you all the tips and tricks for surviving and thriving in summer! Every summer, we head to Walt Disney World to squeeze one last trip in before school begins.
Here are a few tips for enjoying summer, stay hydrated by carrying a refillable water bottle and drinking plenty of fluids. Also, wear comfortable and breathable clothing, like cotton or moisture-wicking materials. Take breaks in the shade or air-conditioned areas to rest and cool down. Apply sunscreen frequently to protect your skin from the sun's rays. Use Genie+ to avoid long lines. Plan your visit for early morning or evening when temperatures are cooler. Bring a small portable fan or handheld misting device to help you stay cool.

Hey Disney family!
Thank you for joining me for another podcast episode!
In this podcast, I'm going to be discussing my April trips to Walt Disney World. I made two trips in April. The first was made one trip over Easter weekend with my family, and the 2nd hosted trip from Undercover Tourist and Walt Disney World resort.
I go over the pros and cons of the three different resorts. I stay at Baylake Tower, contemporary in the main building, and the Grand Floridian. I also go into details of the DVC company I trust the most. Finally, I discussed whether dessert parties are for you and your family and all the fun Easter has at the resorts.
I go into more detail about being hosted by Walt Disney World and undercover tourists and some of our fun activities.
I will let you know what is to come for Well Hello Disney and the fun things we have planned for May and beyond.

Walt Disney World has made so many new announcement about things coming in 2024. Today's podcast goes over all five of the big announcements from yesterday at the changes that are happening. All of this is speculation exactly how it's gonna go but we're going to revisit the way that it used to be ants, impossible predictions for what it will be in the future.
🎫 Date-based tickets will no longer require a park reservation. Most Walt Disney World tickets give you a booking window when you purchase a package. Now you do not have to worry about what park to enter the system. – I will wait to see how this affects military tickets.
👌Good to go days! AP holders will have more days where they do not need a reservation, either! This means that during peak season and holidays, more than likely, reservations will still be required for AP holders.
🍝 DISNEY DINING PLANS are coming back – I will do a deep dive today on this, and we can only speculate on price and what this means for guests.
🎢 Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours are here to stay! This is wonderful for any guest staying at a Disney Resort, giving you the advantage of having more time at the Disney Parks.
🧞 Changes to Genie+ are coming!! If you remember, FastPass+/FastPass allowed you to book three rides before you got to the park. Do I think this will change strategy – no, not really. I think the Sell Out Order will be the same. But what will change is that you can plan your day a little bit better.
Here are my predictions:
🧞On-site, guests will get some advantage to booking 1 – 3 rides ahead of time at the 60-day window. (My guess is probably 2, what is your guess?) Disney has been really pushing to show the advantages of staying on property.
If you have a park reservation – possibly an ability to book? I don’t know how that would work, so this is just a wild guess to help off-site guests.
🧞Then I bet the 7 am booking will still be there – but it will not be as big of a rush if you have already gotten your top-priority rides.
🧞ILLs are not going anywhere! It’s too big of a money maker, and I can’t imagine it going away!

Today I take you on my planning journey as I attempt to design our realistic Disney day for Hollywood Studios over Easter weekend for our toddler. This planning strategy can be used at any park, but I specifically gearing it towards my toddler and Hollywood Studios in the goals that we want to accomplish for her on a specific day. You can take every single one of these principles that I talk about in this podcast and apply it to your family and the way that you plan out your Disney days.
You might be thinking I'm going to Walt Disney World and only doing eight activities in an entire day, and that's not always the case. I don't want you to be set up for failure thinking that you can do more activities and then eight specific attractions, Schalles, dining experience, rides and character meet and greets.
The goal is also a balance in your day especially when you have young or little children. You don't want to be worn out because you went so hard that you end up having tantrums, and meltdowns and it kind of ruins that Disney day. With my strategies I am sure that we avoid tantrums during the day, we get the rest that we need, and we enjoy our Park day to the fullest.
Disney wasn't designed to allow you to get everything done in one day, and there is so much more to the park than just a rides. I hope this helps you plan your Disney days!

Today I discuss one of my favorite apps at Walt Disney World resort, Standby Skipper. This app takes the stress out of booking Genie+ and will book it for you. Of course, many strategies are still involved, but the stress level of having to remember what time the book and which ride to book next is greatly diminished with using this app.
They cannot book individual lightning lanes or virtual cues for you, but where you are used to having multiple phones doing the work Standby Skipper really reduces it to one person having to book those pay-per-ride experiences.
One of the biggest bonuses is that if you were up at midnight and have already purchased Genie+, you can enter your 7 AM selection on standby skipper. That way, you don't have to wake up to book your first attraction at that time because they will book it for you.
I cannot say enough positive things about Standby Skipper. It will forever be a part of my Disney experience.

Today, go over the top 10 mistakes people make regarding the Disney vacation. As a parent, it took me a long time to formulate my rhythm at Walt Disney World. When traveling to Walt Disney World as a child or a young adult, you aren't thinking about all the tools you need to have a smooth day at the park. That transition from Disney kid to Disney mom was tricky because all I had were the good memories of being at the parks. But I don't remember seeing my parents exhausted or tired the way I fell after a day with my kids at the park.
Here are the things that I did to change the way I thought about Disney, how you approach my Disney vacation, and strategies I still use to this day turn sure that my kids have an awesome time at Walt Disney World, but I also have a fantastic time at Walt Disney World. The biggest thing we must remember is that this Disney vacation is not just for the kids. It's also for you with the parent.

In this podcast episode, I talked about having mixed-age children and how to manage that at the parks. We will be potty training our youngest child while our oldest child will want to ride roller coasters. So there's a delicate balance and ensuring everyone has a great time while on vacation.
1. We'll talk about needing to know what resources are at your disposal in the parks. Especially for infants and toddlers, if you're breastfeeding, or if you're potty training. Knowing where your Baby Care Centers are located, the layout of the parks, and where restrooms are located if you plan to be in a specific area for a long time.
2. Managing tantrums as a parent at Walt Disney World, my joke is everyone becomes a gentle parent at Walt Disney World if they want to ensure peace on their vacation. I also explain the true definition of gentle parenting. There's a BIG misconception that peaceful parenting equals soft.
3. Setting expectations of older kids and how to make them feel like they have some control over their Walt Disney World vacation and the balance between having children of all different ages.
Then we review all the tools that you got from this podcast, and hopefully this will not only help you at the Disney parks, but also help you when managing expectations at home.

In this podcast, we go over what I consider the four Disney traps. These things make Walt Disney World different from any other kind of vacation you'll take with your family. Many people need help understanding Walt Disney World, so it initially feels overwhelming to plan a vacation.
Walt Disney World is 43 mi.², making it the size of San Francisco or twice the size of Manhattan. There are over 26 Disney resort collection hotels on property, four parks, two water parks, and an entertainment epicenter at Disney Springs. In addition, you have the ESPN Sports complex that hosts competitions and sporting tournaments all year round, not to mention runDisney events. Then add on top of all of this it was built in a swamp.
In the podcast, I address why you are tired at Disney and ways to make Disney the best vacation your family will ever go on.
My Four Disney Traps:
1. Planning/Amusement Park Trap
2. An Overstimulating Park made for Children
3. The Most Expensive Vacation
4. The Disney Second Shift

In this podcast, I discuss different strategies you can use at Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom is one of the most laid-back Park days you can have. However, many people skip Genie+ on this day because they hear you do not need it. After all, there are only a few long lines. While that is true, I am here to tell you that having Genie+ at Animal Kingdom can make your day more enjoyable because you won’t wait in any lines at all. Plus, you get to enjoy all the entertainment that Animal Kingdom offers.
Additionally, Animal Kingdom has the highest average wait times because Flight of Passage and Na’vi River create extended waits from 45 minutes to 3 hours, which can take up most of your day. If you plan, you can prepare for those wait times, but I do not believe Na’vi River is worth an 80-minute wait time. Unfortunately, there are very few strategies to avoid the Flight of Passage wait time. I hope this podcast provides enough information for you on maximizing your day using Genie+ at Animal Kingdom.

In this podcast, I discuss different strategies you can use at Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios is a very tricky park for Genie+ for numerous reasons. First, it is the smallest of all Disney parks. It also has several high-demand rides with height requirements, which only allows a little room for families with toddlers or little ones that don't meet those height requirements. Additionally, even though a child meets a height requirement, it doesn't mean they are ready to take the plunge on the Tower of Terror. Finally, there are a lot of shows at Hollywood Studios and many really great dining experiences. I encourage people to make sure their day is a mix of both. Sometimes when you are super ride focused, you miss out on the little pieces that make Disney magical. I hope that this podcast provides enough information for you on how to maximize your day using Genie+ at Hollywood Studios.

I had to re-record the episode I had scheduled for yesterday because we had immediate changes to Genie+. My Episode on Genie+ would be released the day there would be massive changes. So this episode focuses on if it is still worth it and other strategies you can use in the park to reduce stress and wait in shorter lines. In the episodes, I help you understand whether Genie+ is still worth it for you and your family. Will you still want to purchase Genie+ after the price increase?
Can we stay over-stimulation? That is Walt Disney World in a nut shell. The overstimulation is a lot of children and adults. It is important to have a game plan on how to resolve conflicts that may arise at the parks for exhaustion, dehydration and overstimulation. In this podcast I cover what consequences of not having a game plan, pressuring kids to get on rides, how to prevent snapping at your kids and the important of alone time - even for 5 minutes.
We had been planning a six-day vacation for our family of 12 for over six months! Only to have everything go terribly wrong. I discuss how Disney takes care of our issues, what when wrong, and what we learned from the experience.
Hey Disney Family! Here are all the announcements you may have missed at this year's D23 expo.
Disneyland has a lot of information about projects that are going to happen.
We have previews for movies for the next two years.
Walt Disney World
We did not get a lot of solid information. I am happy that Happily Ever After is coming back. Other than that, we don't have dates. There is the possibility of a remodel of Dinoland and new land in Magic Kingdom. There is no word on the Mary Poppins project, and nothing else is concrete. No nighttime parade either. So nothing that new at Walt Disney World but a lot of AWESOME blue sky projects!
Can you plan your Walt Disney World trip in 15 minutes? You can, well, at least an outline for your trip in 15 minutes. Planning a Walt Disney World can feel overwhelming, and the most asked question I get is, "Where do I start?"
So this podcast, I am going to cover my list to help you plan the outline of your trip in 15 minutes.

I am almost 60 days out from out Disney Dining window for our September Trip! I am so excited for this family vacation but making 12 people happy can be hard. I selected dining choices that will make the whole family happy. Let me give you tips on deciding how to book reservations, how many to book per day, and making sure the picks fit your families needs and wants. Its important to not get wrapped up in the popular items but what your family will enjoy!
As we plan to head to Texas we are going going to add in a trip to Disney!! We are driving and will be spending 55 hours in the car. We got great rates on hotels, and will be staying at a good neighbor hotel and a Sea World hotel. We will share all the details of the trip while we are on it. We are using our water park passes since we have 4 each and we are lucky my mother is planning on coming with us on this trip.
Hi Disney Family!
We are FOUR months away from our big trip! We are going to Disney for NINE whole days! % of those will be with my entire family. We are celebrating my sisters daughters birthday, she will be a WHOLE year in September and what better reason to celebrate.
In this podcast we go over ALL the little details that need to be done at the 4 month mark. Which is a lot, lots of clothes to order, days to plan, and it's time to start cracking down on our wish list!
Let's dive into character dining. I see a lot of people stressing over getting ALL the reservations to character dining meals. Let’s go over why you should and should not do character dining. The cost and how much time it takes to enjoy a character meal. Is it better to do it on a rest day, or do you use it as a break at the parks? There are so many options for character dining, and you make to make sure you do what is suitable for your family. Also, there is no reason to overload your trip with dining with all the great quick service options.
Then I go over EACH character dining experience using the ranking list from Undercover Tourist.
Hi there! I am so glad that you are here. Today I am taking the time to give you the history and backstory of Well Hello Disney and how I developed it into an outlet for helping parents minimize stress while on their trips.
This episode will give you the backstory of why I am so passionate about this, and maybe also explain why I don’t want to be a travel agent but I just want to stick to the platforms of sharing the knowledge that I’ve gained out over the years of being a Disney parent.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you real soon!
