Kingdom Collective
Kingdom Collective is a local church in Marion, IL. What started with strangers in living rooms seeking after the presence of God gave way to a collective of believers dedicated to passionate pursuit of seeing the Kingdom of God advanced in our region. Weekly, we meet on Sundays and in House Church to encounter Jesus and partner with Holy Spirit to see inner healing, freedom, and power activated in the lives of believers.
Philippians 4:4-9In this scripture, Paul teaches us about prayer and what it looks like to be communicate with God from a place of peace and authority. The principles that Paul teaches here can forever change your prayer life. In this teaching we focus on the fullness of what Paul reveals to us in Philippians and make it applicable to our lives today.
Matthew 14:22-36After the feeding of the 5000, the disciples find themselves in the middle of a storm without Jesus. They see Jesus coming to them walking on the water and Jesus invited Peter to come to Him on the water. Peter walks on the water for a moment, but sinks as he takes his eyes off of Jesus and fixes them on the wind and waves. In this teaching we dig into what it means to fix your eyes on Jesus and to trust his leading and authority as we follow Him.

Do you care more about the approval of others or of God? Believers and non-believers alike struggle with pleasing people and being accepted and loved by those around them. In this teaching we dig into Jesus sermon on the mount and examine what He is saying about the condition of the human heart in needing approval of man.
In the opening of his Gospel, John portrays the deity of Jesus in a way the recurs through all of his writings . As believers today, we are good at understanding parts of Jesus the man, but the revelation and authority of Jesus as God is often lost on us. In this teaching, we dig into revelation of what it means that Jesus is the Word, the Life, and the Light of the world. This teaching will challenge your theology in way that brings a deeper love and understanding of Jesus as God.

This teaching delves into the three responses people have to Jesus teachings and ministry.
In 2 Chronicles 20, we see one of the most powerful military victories in the Bible. This was a victory where praise was the weapon that won the day. What does it mean to engage in praise to God? What is the difference between praise and worship? In this teaching, we jump into the story of King Jehoshaphat humbling himself before the Lord and God winning a mighty victory through praise, worship, and obedience.
2 Chronicles 20
Exodus 16 tells the well known story of God providing manna and quail for the Israelites in their wilderness journey. This is just a month into their leaving Egypt and God is in the middle of teaching his people how to become a Kingdom minded people, not an earthly minded people. This teaching unpacks 7 principles in Exodus 16 that build understanding and faith in God's provision.

In Matthew 16, Jesus asks his disciples what people are saying about him and who they think he is. Peter declares, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God". Jesus responds that this confession will be the foundation of the church and the authority to see lives transformed by the Gospel. This confession still has power today in our lives! What does it mean to confess Jesus as the Christ and Son of the living God? In this teaching, we dive in to the power that comes from a confession and revelation of Jesus.

In Genesis 28 Jacob is in the wilderness and has a wild dream and encounter with the Lord. He sees a staircase between Heaven and Earth with angels ascending and descending. We later see Jesus speak to the same concept when referring to himself as that very connection between Heaven and Earth. In this teaching, we jump into this story and how it connects all the way from the Garden of Eden to our faith today.

In Ezekiel 47, we see the vision Ezekiel has of the waters flowing out of the temple. It starts as a trickle, then ankle deep, and as he is lead closer to the temple, the water becomes deeper and stronger. This vision is a word for us today on what it looks like as Jesus and Holy Spirit usher and lead us deeper into the heart and revelation of God. There are deep things of God that we are invited to encounter. In this teaching, we take a look at this vision of Ezekiel 47 unpack what it means to us as believers and worshippers today.

Jesus tells the Samaritan woman at the well that a time is coming in where we will worship in Spirit and Truth. What does this mean? It seems vague, yet is revealing something incredibly deep about our posture on entering into worship. In this teaching, we dive in to what it means to worship in the spirit and truth through scripture and not based on our feelings or circumstances.

In Revelation 3:14-22 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Laodicea.

I wish that you were one or the other! 16But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

In Revelation 3:7-13 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Philadelphia.
7 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia.
This is the message from the one who is holy and true,
the one who has the key of David.
What he opens, no one can close;
and what he closes, no one can open:
8 “I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. 9Look, I will force those who belong to Satan’s synagogue—those liars who say they are Jews but are not—to come and bow down at your feet. They will acknowledge that you are the ones I love.
10 “Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. 11I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. 12All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. In Revelation 3:1-6 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Sardis.
1 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars:
“I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. 3Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.
4 “Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.

In Revelation 2:18-29 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Thyatira.
18 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Thyatira. This is the message from the Son of God, whose eyes are like flames of fire, whose feet are like polished bronze:
19 “I know all the things you do. I have seen your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things.
20 “But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman—that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet—to lead my servants astray. She teaches them to commit sexual sin and to eat food offered to idols. 21I gave her time to repent, but she does not want to turn away from her immorality.
22 “Therefore, I will throw her on a bed of suffering, and those who commit adultery with her will suffer greatly unless they repent and turn away from her evil deeds. 23I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.
24 “But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (‘deeper truths,’ as they call them—depths of Satan, actually). I will ask nothing more of you 25except that you hold tightly to what you have until I come. 26To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end,
To them I will give authority over all the nations.
27 They will rule the nations with an iron rod
and smash them like clay pots.
28 They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star!

In Revelation 2:12-17 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Pergamum.
12 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Pergamum. This is the message from the one with the sharp two-edged sword:
13 “I know that you live in the city where Satan has his throne, yet you have remained loyal to me. You refused to deny me even when Antipas, my faithful witness, was martyred among you there in Satan’s city.
14 “But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. 15In a similar way, you have some Nicolaitans among you who follow the same teaching. 16Repent of your sin, or I will come to you suddenly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.

In Revelation 2:8-11 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Smyrna.
8 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Smyrna. This is the message from the one who is the First and the Last, who was dead but is now alive:
9 “I know about your suffering and your poverty—but you are rich! I know the blasphemy of those opposing you. They say they are Jews, but they are not, because their synagogue belongs to Satan. 10Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.
11 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. Whoever is victorious will not be harmed by the second death.

In Revelation 2:1-7 Jesus speaks directly to the church of Ephesus.
1 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Ephesus. This is the message from the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lampstands:
2 “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. 3You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
4 “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! 5Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. 6But this is in your favor: You hate the evil deeds of the Nicolaitans, just as I do.
7 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.
The book of Revelation is the zenith of the entire narrative of the Bible. The imagery and content is beautiful, but can be overwhelming to dig into. This has lead many believers to avoid or misunderstand this specific book of the Bible. In this teaching we dive into Revelation 1 and hone in on the heart and primary focus of the whole book, beholding Jesus. This word brings a simplicity and refreshing voice to Revelation.

In this teaching we take a look at the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Why did God send his son to die for us? Why was this necessary to reunite us in relationship with God? What does it mean to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and to follow Him? This Good News started the Church 2000 years ago and still has power today! This teaching takes us through the Gospel and presents it for us to receive again or for the first time.
Before starting the Great Commission, Jesus was clear with his disciples to wait on The Advocate to come. In the Gospel of John, we see Jesus teaching His disciples about Holy Spirit in some of his last few hours with them before the Crucifixion. In Acts, we see the fulfillment of the promise of Holy Spirit coming to empower the Apostles and launch the spreading of the Gospel worldwide. Receiving the gift of Holy Spirit is fundamental to the believer to be empowered to go boldly share the Gospel both then and now. In this teaching, we go further into what Jesus taught on Holy Spirit and why this still matters to the church today.

The Resurrection of Jesus is a big deal. That morning where is disciples found an empty tomb has implications that have sent shockwaves through history and impact us the same today. In this teaching we go into the Resurrection of Jesus and why this Good News matters just as much now as it did on the first Easter.

Following the triumphal entry, Jesus goes to the temple in Jerusalem. Just before, the people were praising and exclaiming that He was the messiah they had been waiting for. Yet, Jesus enters the temple, it was business as usual in the religious practices of the people. In this teaching, we dive into Jesus heart for challenging the religious hearts and motivations of the worshipers and temple leaders and how this speaks to us today.

In Revelation 4 John is taken to the throne room of God. It is a powerful and beautiful revelation of God's authority and character. This text opens our eyes to the magnitude of worship and how we join with the heavens in declaring God's holiness and worthiness. In this teaching, we dive into Revelation 4 to bring realignment in our lives and worship.

Psalm 19 is one of the most beautiful chapters in the Bible that portrays the majesty and magnitude of God through nature and scripture. The call is to be in awe and reverence of His greatness while partnering with creation and His word to bring glory to Him and reveal His nature to those around us. In this teaching we dig into Psalm 19 and let it speak to us today as believers.

John 10 has the famous parable of Jesus describing himself as The Good Shepherd. This is a text that is taught often, but may not be fully understood. In this teaching, we take an exegetical approach to understanding this text and getting a deeper appreciation and understanding for what it means for Jesus to be our shepherd.

All through the Old Testament we see the Hebrew people making sacrifices to atone for their sin and be made right with God. When Jesus died, he became the atonement for whoever would believe and receive his sacrifice. This was a hard concept for the Jewish/Christians of their day to realize that Jesus was enough and their old religion and rituals are no longer required. In the same way, today we struggle to receive the fullness of Jesus' atonement for our lives. In this teaching, we jump into Hebrews to better understand what Jesus has done for us to open relationship with the Father.

The whole Bible is telling the story of Jesus. Sometimes this seems weird to think about when you are in the Old Testament before Jesus was born. However, when you dig into the stories and history you can see how it reveals Jesus in all of it. In this teaching, we jump into the story of the Israelites enslavement in Egypt. As we see God's favor and blessing on their lives in unfavorable circumstances, we see Jesus revealed through scripture and in our lives today.

Encountering Glory - Part 1 of 3
In Exodus 19, the Israelites are invited to encounter God directly in the fullness of His presence. God wanted to build an intimate relationship with His people and make them a nation of priests. This offer of encounter was rejected by the Israelites and only Moses pushed deeper into cultivating that intimacy with God. Today, we have the same invitation to meet God in his fullness and to let His glory transform us. In this teaching, we dive into what it looks like to encounter God in our lives today.

King Josiah takes rule as an eight year old. He follows after a series off wicked Kings who have taken Israel far away from the heart of God. In his early reign, Josiah does his best to practice faith based on the traditions of King David. However, when he discovers a text revealing God's mandate for the Israelites, Josiah is devastated as he realizes that the traditions of the kingdom have become completely disconnected from the God's heart and plan for His people. This teaching dives into what it looks like to bring the presence and person of God back into scripture in our lives today.
2 Kings 22
The Good Samaritan is one of the most famous parables in the Bible. For years, it has been used as a teaching inside and outside of the church on being a "good neighbor" and doing good deeds. In this teaching, we dive deeper into the heart of this story and take a fresh perspective on how this story relates to inner healing. We believe the principles found in The Good Samaritan are relevant to our faith beyond simply doing "good deeds".
Luke 10:30-37
Jesus flips the entire Messianic narrative of the Jewish people on its head. They are expecting a political revolutionary to overthrow their oppressors and make them the number on people on the Earth. Instead, they get Jesus. He came to conquer, but his conquest would be sin and the grave, not just a Roman emperor. In this teaching we dive deeper in the revelation of God's plan for restoration through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Suffering is actually one of the few major things that all world religions seek to address and answer. It is the basis of just about every significant religious figure. The world doesn’t need to avoid suffering, they need a real solution for how to walk through it and maintain hope, peace, and joy despite sorrow, pain, and loss. Jesus knows suffering. He has an answer for suffering. He sets an example for how to have a faith that is anchored to the promises of God through unimaginable pain. In this teaching, we dive into the life of Jesus to learn how we can model his character through suffering.
The Bible is full of the stories of men and women of incredible faith, yet even their lives show the brutal reality of sin and weakness in their life. God has used imperfect people all through history to change the world for the Kingdom. The prophets refer to Jesus as Immanuel, God with us. Christ did not come for us because of our perfection, but He came to make us righteous and He pursues us even in our brokenness. In this teaching, we dig into Hebrews 11 and see how Immanuel is with us, even in the mess, to work through us for His glory and for our good. It all starts in faith.
In Acts 9 we see the pivotal story of Saul having an encounter with Jesus that fundamentally shifts his entire existence. The very Jesus that Saul was persecuting had a plan to reveal his love and power through the faith of the new church. This was made possible through the obedience of an often forgotten figure, Ananias. We never know how our faith and obedience to Holy Spirit will impact the lives of the people we encounter. In this teaching, we dig in to the story and uncover what to expect when you are building the church.
We finish our collection in Acts with the story of the Gospel coming to the Gentiles in Acts 10. Until this time, the Gospel was only being shared with the Jewish people. However, God always intended that salvation through Jesus would be available to the entire world. In this story, we see how Cornelius and Peter encounter God in their prayer time and intersect for a move of Holy Spirit that forever changed the entire world. In this teaching, we dig deeper into fundamentals that help us posture ourselves for life changing encounters with God.
In Acts 8-26-40 we read the story of Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. This man has a hunger and a desire to understand God through scripture, but his physical circumstances have disqualified him from worship and encounter at the Temple. Holy Spirit leads Phillip to encounter this man and bring revelation of the Gospel of Jesus through the scriptures of Isaiah. Because of Jesus, a man disqualified from religion is able to have a life-changing encounter with the Gospel. In this message, we dig deeper into why we need the power of the Spirit to bring life to the Word of God.
When we read the story of Stephen in Acts 7, we learn what it looks like to give our entire life for the Kingdom of God. We focus on five principles we learn in the story of Stephen and Saul that challenge and equip us to live boldly for Jesus today.
The church in Acts was exploding as the Holy Spirit came and empowered the Apostles to start sharing the Gospel. At the birth of the church, there is so much to learn as the early church Fathers began to navigate the reality of people encountering Jesus and committing their lives to the Kingdom of God. In this message, we look at six foundational principles that were key in seeing the church grow and the believers lives changed in a powerful way.
Jesus tells his disciples that it is better for them that he leaves and sends Holy Spirit in his place. Holy Spirit would be the advocate that would help equip and empower them to do the work of the Kingdom. Today, the person of Holy Spirit in Trinity is often disregarded, misrepresented, or just misunderstood. Yet, Jesus said that it is better that we have Holy Spirit with us. In this teaching we unpack what Holy Spirit's role is in our lives and the church. Holy Spirit is not the rebellious little brother of the Trinity, but the voice and power of the Father in our lives and necessary to see the Kingdom of God move on Earth.
At the end of the Gospel of John, we see Jesus intentionally teaching his disciples a few major principles they will need to see the Kingdom advance on Earth when Jesus leaves them. In John 15, we receive the parable of the True Vine from Jesus as he teaches us what it likes like to abide in the Father and to trust the process of pruning and growing. This teaching would be foundational in how they start the church in Acts.
