In this episode of Toad School, we are joined by Evan who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Evan shares his challenging journey with anxiety, depression and addiction which began at a young age.  He shares his story of attaining sobriety and how he has come full circle and now works at the very same facility that helped him. We talk about the stigma of psychedelics in society, especially in “12-Step” and recovery programs, and how we may feel ostracized and judged by others if we choose to use psychedelics as a healing modality. We discuss the transformational aspects of psychedelics and the challenges that come during the integration process.  We talk about the need for community during the healing process while also maintaining self-autonomy and looking inward rather than looking for external validation or another person’s interpretation of our subjective experience.  Evan shares his insights and transformations from his bufo experience and reminds us that we create most of our problems in our mind, so they are ultimately an illusion...

In this episode of Toad School, I am joined by Michael, a Freemason and a Catholic mystic with strong ties to Eastern philosophy. Michael is also a recovering addict. We discuss Michael’s path through recovery which led him to working with ayahuascha and bufo. Michael talks about his bufo experiences, the integration process and the lessons he’s learned from his ceremonies and his decades of in-depth spiritual studies.  Michael interprets the nondual experience through his unique point-of-view and talks about how his bufo experiences mirror the Kabbalah Tree of Life.  We also talk about how ego dissolutions may be more common than we think!  Michael shares an interpretation of John the Baptist and we talk about how the ego death ritual is a staple of all spiritual paths and Mystery Schools. Michael discusses the lessons he’s learned through Freemasonry and how the rituals and symbols allow us to access the archetypal subconscious and our own inner wisdom. We also discuss ceremonial magic and how rituals make the spiritual tangible and shift our consciousness. Michael shares his wisdom on duality, death, infinity, and the freedom of not knowing.
