Welcome to the HPM podcast where we help high performers master their human performance in all aspects. Join us each week as we break down the habits, thought processes, systems and principles that go into being a high performer. Hosted by Max Hogan (@maxihogan)
Today I had the opportunity to sit down with Rob Jacobs from Outlaw Strength.
Rob was coached and mentored by Charles Poliquin and has spent the past couple of decades as a strength and conditioning coach working with a diverse outfit of athletes.
Today we dive into circadian biology and the importance of light, the mitochondria - how they function and the influence that our local environment has on them, eating and training seasonally plus much more.
As you’ll hear, Rob is a wealth of knowledge, and is only just scraping the surface with what he discusses today - you can give him a follow @robertcjacobs or head to outlaw strength to check out more.

Today I had the opportunity to sit down with the co-founder of Muscle Nerds, Luke Leaman.
We get into everything from nutrition for performance, fat loss and muscle gain to specific amino acid pathways, to considerations around your Vo2max and lactate threshold to biofeedback and more.
If there is one big takeaway from listening to and learning from Luke, it is to be able to dive deep into the why behind things, have a range of tools in your tool belt, but then know which tools to pull out at the right time, for the right reasons and in what order!
**Give muscle nerds a follow on Instagram and check out what they are about.

**Today I had the opportunity to chat with Zach Mobius - Zach has a great ability to think laterally, and break things down into their core mechanics, how they function as a system, and from there provide solutions to problem solve and progress forward. We delve into some systems to set you up for success - from a macro level view of the finish line you want to reach, down to a micro view of how to set up your days and time to be most effective.
