Black Friday gave Sooner fans a reason to shout when their team triumphed 69-45 over the TCU Horned Frogs, wrapping up the regular season with a dazzling 10 wins and 2 losses. Although the Sooners put up a whopping 69 points, their defense gave up over 500 yards and 45 points to a less-than-stellar Horned Frogs squad.
Soon after the game, the Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby left to become the head coach at Mississippi State. And boy, did he leave a lasting mark! In the 2023 season, his Oklahoma offense ranked #4 in the country, piling up an impressive 502 yards and 43 points per game. But, the team didn't skip a beat, naming Seth Littrell and Joe Jon Finley as their new Co-Offensive Coordinators. Was this move to keep current players and incoming recruits happy? In this episode of the Foxx Den podcast, host Garrett returns to join Todd, Kellen, and Clay in discussing Oklahoma's thrilling 31-24 victory over BYU in Utah. The team delves into the standout performance of Oklahoma's defense, which managed to secure three turnovers, including a jaw-dropping 100-yard interception return for a touchdown by Safety Billy Bowman. The hosts analyze how these defensive efforts were crucial in solidifying the win for Oklahoma.
Another major talking point in this episode is the unfortunate injury sustained by Oklahoma's Senior Quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Having missed the entire second half of the game due to an apparent head injury, the hosts contemplate whether Gabriel will be able to play against the TCU Horned Frogs on Black Friday. They also explore the possibility of true freshman Jackson Arnold making his first career start in college football, highlighting the pivotal 3rd down throw he made in the final minutes of the game that helped the Sooners run out the clock against the Cougars.
Tune in to this episode of the Foxx Den podcast to hear the insights and predictions from the Foxx Den personalities as they discuss the impact of Oklahoma's defense, the quarterback situation, and the upcoming game against the TCU Horned Frogs. With engaging analysis and lively banter, this episode is a must-listen for fans of college football and the Oklahoma Sooners.

The podcast discusses the Oklahoma Sooners football game against West Virginia Mountaineers where they won 59-20. Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel had an outstanding performance, passing for 423 yards and 5 touchdown passes. He also rushed for 3 touchdowns. This helped Oklahoma avenge their loss to West Virginia last season. Their record is now 8-2 for the season.
Oklahoma's defense was also impressive, led by Danny Stutsman. The defense held West Virginia to just 330 total yards of offense while racking up 644 yards themselves. The defense also had another goal-line stand.
Todd, Kellen, and Clay then discussed Oklahoma's upcoming game against BYU in Provo, Utah this coming weekend at 11:00 am central time. They believe that Oklahoma should be able to defeat BYU and still have a chance to make the Big 12 Championship game.
The hosts also talked about which college football fanbases tend to think their team is better than they actually are based on their performance and results.
The discussion then shifts to the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team. The Thunder are off to a good start this season with a 7-4 record so far. Young players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jaylin Williams, Lou Dort, and Cason Wallace are all developing together as a team. The podcast says it will be fun to watch this Thunder team grow together over the season.

In the latest episode of Foxx Den Sports, Todd, Kellen, Callie, Clay & Diego delve into the recent Bedlam game between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. The game was a close one, with Oklahoma State eventually coming out on top with a score of 27-24. There has been some controversy surrounding the game, particularly the pass interference call in the fourth quarter that was not made in favor of the Sooners. However, our Foxx Den Sports personalities believe that other factors at play contributed to the Sooners' defeat.

In the 100th episode of the Foxx Den Sports Podcast, the team discusses the Oklahoma Sooners' 38-33 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks. The game began with a pick 6 by Dillon Gabriel, leading to a conservative game plan. The Sooners rushed for 269 yards, but only attempted 19 passes, including seven on the final drive. The Jayhawks scored 12 points and capitalized on 11 Oklahoma penalties to take down the mighty Sooners. While Oklahoma's chances of making the College Football playoffs remain uncertain, the Sooners cannot feel sorry for themselves as their "little brother" the Oklahoma State Cowboys host Oklahoma in the last BEDLAM game for the foreseeable future. Mike Gundy will prepare the Cowboys, while Brent Venables will hopefully do the same for Oklahoma. Gannon also makes a special appearance to keep listeners updated on his tour of Europe this semester. Subscribe to the Foxx Den Sports Podcast on YouTube for the latest news.

In this thrilling episode of the podcast, Todd, Kellen, and Garrett dive deep into the Oklahoma Sooners' nail-biting victory over the University of Central Florida. After their recent triumph in the Red River Rivalry against Texas, the Sooners seemed to struggle in the first three quarters of the game, lacking focus. However, they managed to regain their composure in the fourth quarter and secure a hard-fought win, maintaining their undefeated record at 7-0 for the season.
The Knights from Central Florida did an exceptional job containing the potent Oklahoma offense throughout the game, but Dillon Gabriel's impressive performance as the Sooners' quarterback ultimately made the difference. Gabriel completed 25 of 38 passes for 253 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception, leading his team to victory. Additionally, Peyton Bowen's crucial quarterback sack on a pivotal third down played a significant role in turning the tide of the game. Despite enduring a last-minute touchdown scare, a missed 2-point conversion, and a heart-stopping onside kick, the Sooners emerged victorious, securing their seventh win of the season. A win is a win, regardless of the margin, and the Sooners currently hold the impressive #6 ranking in the country.
The dynamic of college football can change dramatically within a year, as evidenced by USC's recent struggles. Similar to the challenges faced by Lincoln Riley's previous Oklahoma teams, the Trojans have suffered two consecutive losses. In contrast, the Sooners' flawless performance has propelled them to a 7-0 record. While the USC Trojans stand at 6-2, they still have tough games ahead against Washington, Oregon, and UCLA.

What a game it was! Oklahoma's 34-30 victory over Texas in the 2023 Red River Rivalry game was a nail-biter until the very end. Despite Texas taking the lead with just over a minute to play, Oklahoma Senior Quarterback Dillon Gabriel led the Sooners down the field for a game-winning touchdown pass to red-shirt freshman Nick Anderson. The Sooner Defense was also dominant, with 3 forced turnovers and a goal-line stand for the ages. In Episode 98 of the Foxx Den podcast, Todd, Kellen, Garrett, and Clay McDonald discuss this thrilling game and the Sooners' impressive 6-0 record. Todd, Kellen & Garrett discuss the Dallas Cowboys 30-10 victory over the New York Jets. Through the 1st two weeks of the season the Dallas defense looks incredible! Led by Micah Parsons the Cowboys defense has surged to the top of the NFL. Turnovers, Sacks & QB pressures are what helps make this defense successful.
Baker Mayfield looks good through the 1st two weeks, but how long will it last? Some surprises thus far are the teams like the Atlanta Falcons, Anthony Richardson of the Colts, Matt Stafford of the Rams and the Washington Commanders. While we also see struggles coming from Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, Justin Herbert & the Los Angeles Chargers & the entire Arizona Cardinals organization. Poor Nick Chubb, our prayers are with him for his injury and it couldn't happen to a better guy.
Garrett doesn't realize that the NFL has "regional" games and that is why in Oklahoma City we see the Dallas Cowboys every week.
Upset of the week:
Kellen 1-0 - picked Baltimore over the Cincinnati Bengals
Todd 1-0 - picked Pittsburgh over the Cleveland Browns
Garrett 0-1- picked Jacksonville over the KC Chiefs
Lock of the week:
Kellen 1-0 - picked Miami over New England
Todd 1-0 - picked Philadelphia over Minnesota
Garrett 1-0 - picked New York Giants over Arizona

In Episode 92 Todd, Kellen and Garrett discuss the following topics:
Kellen was unaware that NFL Free Agency was not always a thing. Todd discussed how good the Dallas Cowboys of the early 90’s would have been if there had been no free agency. During the podcast Aaron Rodgers was injured in the New York Jets 22-16 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills
NFL Week 1 had some good games. The Dallas Cowboys ripped the error-prone New York Giants Sunday night in route to a 40-0 victory. Dallas’ defense dominated the Giants with 7 sacks, 3 turnovers (one interception returned for a touchdown) a blocked punt return for a touchdown.
There were several “timing” issues between Quarterbacks and receivers this week due to teams not playing their starters much in the pre-season. Regardless, we saw some good wins from Detroit over Kansas City, Cleveland over Cincinnati, Jacksonville over Indianapolis, Miami over the LA Chargers and the 49ers destroying the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A new weekly topic of what teams or players raised their stock in week one and which teams or players lowered their stock.

Todd, Kellen & Garrett discuss the Oklahoma Sooner versus SMU game.
Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/foxxdensports/message
The Oklahoma Sooners started their 2023 season in spectacular fashion, dismantling Arkansas State 73-0 in their home opener. Led by Dillon Gabriel's impressive 308 yards passing and 3 touchdowns, the team scored on all of their first 11 possessions. According to ASU Coach Butch Jones, this Sooner team was "much different than what was seen on tape" and "quicker and much more physical than expected."
After a disappointing 6-7 season in 2022, this victory has brought back a sense of optimism and excitement to Sooner Nation. The team has high expectations for the season, but their upcoming opponent, the SMU Mustangs, should provide a much more competitive challenge. The second season under Brent Venables' tenure is off to a great start, and fans can't wait to see what the Sooners will accomplish this year. The defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, face off against the Detroit Lions this Thursday night. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are set to lead their team to another victory, but the Lions, led by Jared Goff, won't make it easy. It's sure to be an exciting opening night of football with Andy Reid vs Dan Campbell.
Did you know that in 18 of the past 20 seasons, at least one team has gone from worst to first in their division? Who will it be this year? Could it be the New York Jets with Aaron Rodgers? Or will Justin Fields lead the Chicago Bears to a breakthrough season and take the NFC North? Perhaps the Atlanta Falcons will come out on top in the much weaker NFC South? One thing's for sure, the Arizona Cardinals won't be winning the NFC West anytime soon.
Tune in to Episode 89 of the Foxx Den Sports podcast to hear more about this season's potential game-changers. Todd also shares some interesting ideas for changes he'd like to see in the NFL, from an extra bye week to an international week for all teams.

Monroe was a great person and one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Monroe always had a smile on his face and was welcoming every-time Todd came to over to visit Lee. Todd's earliest memory of Monroe is when Monroe & Katrina (Monroe's wife & Lee's mother) took Todd, Lee, Melissa & I believe one of Melissa's friends to watch fireworks down by the river in Tulsa. There was one firework that was really loud and Lee would scream & Todd would laugh & watch Lee's dad laugh as well.
