Carl Jung was one of the pioneers of modern psychology and psychoanalysis.
Initially a collaborator of Sigmund Freud, he then distanced himself from him and went his own way.
What intrigued me about this individual is one particular episode, and it goes as follows.
In december 1925, Jung was invited to participate in a 3 week tour of Chicago, Louisiana and the Southwest. He was joined by a famous anthropologist and from Arizona they drove all the way down to New Mexico to meet with a Pueblo Indian Chief.
It was Jung's first time interacting with a non white..

Tonino has worked for over 15 years in hospitality, in many 5 star hotels and restaurants across Rome, Florence, Milano, London covering all different roles from the most humble to the most prestigious.
He reached out to me because he wanted to share his story. Professional satisfaction doesnt always equal to personal happiness.
He had to go to a very dark place before he could rise again.

In 2010 I lived in Los Angeles. I did many things over there. One of them is taking classes at Playhouse West.
What is Playhouse West? it's an acting school that teaches the meisner technique.
What is the meisner technique? It's being in the moment. Responding to any stimuli that either comes from your scene partner, or the environment, or yourself. It teaches you to be present and be constantly in tune with how you feeling about anything , and to go with it.
Amazing experience.
We were trained by real, working actors, some pretty popular names too.
And, if you ever taken any acting class you would know this: acting coaches like to talk. A lot.
About themselves, about training, about life, and of course, about the greats.
So there's a constant name-drop going on. De niro here. PAcino there. Hoffman, streep, Newman, Redford and so on and so forth.
But there is only One name that is constantly associated with the great of the greats, the actor of actors, the one that changed the game forever, taking it to a whole new level.

In october 2013 my friend Mia ( whom I met in Hawaii some years before ) contacts me.
"I got a job opportunity for you" she writes on messenger.
The job implies that I fly across the world, to California, San Francisco, and ride all the way up north, to an isolated region called "Lost Coast" and spend a few weeks in a cabin in the woods.
Yeah, but, what's the job about? And what happened up there?

Today I want to talk to you about the most beautiful city I have been to.
I'm from Florence, in Italy and so far I've lived in places such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, New York and Sydney. I have been to Miami, Rome, Napoli, Milano, Venice, Paris, Marseille, Berlin, London, Dublin, Barcelona, Prague.
And don't get me wrong, all of these have their own charm and fascinated me in different ways.
But if you ask me what is the most beautiful city, I dont even have to think about it..
Azul means Blue in Portuguese.
This story is about wind. And a Kite. And Brazil. And memories. And freedom. And also a good hair product I should say.
