Former GU basketball star, JP Batista, returns to Gonzaga, joining Mark Few's staff as a Graduate Assistant. JP played at Gonzaga from 2004-2006 and was a part of the GU team that had the heartbreaking loss to UCLA in '06. Since then, JP has had an extensive professional basketball career in Lithuania, France, and his home country of Brazil. Bobby talks to JP about his time playing professionally and how he got into coming back to GU as a Graduate Assistant.

Zags On Air gets the opportunity to sit down and talk to Gonzaga's Athletic Director, Chris Standiford. He has been an athletics faculty member for more than 20 years and in this academic year, he was announced as the new AD after the retirement of the legendary Mike Roth. Bobby and Julian dive in with Chris on the pathway it took him to get to where he is now. He shares what his new role entails and the plans he has for the future of Gonzaga Athletics. They also discuss the massive change in NCAA sports regarding the Name Image Likeness policies and the change in the athletic transfer portal. If you have any interest in Gonzaga, this is an opportunity to hear more about the great efforts our Athletic Program goes through to elevate the University.

Bobby and Thomas sit-down with Senior Women Rower, Grace Cahalane. She shares with us how it was like living in San Francisco growing up in the Irish Community, how she took the path to find herself in rowing, and how it brought her to Gonzaga. The Women Rowing Team is one of the most high-level programs on campus, finishing 1st in the last 6 WCC Championships. Grace teaches us about the sport and why their team is so successful. If you haven't paid attention to GU Women Rowing, now would be a good time to start.
Before the Interview began, Bobby and Thomas talk the heartbreaking end to the GU Basketball season and what they see happening in the Final Four. They also give a quick recap of the other GU sports happening in the Spring.

James a star runner in cross country and track has competed at a high level since his freshman year. Entering his Junior outdoor track season, James tells us how he hopes to keep the ball rolling for the 5k and 10k distances. We talk about how running has become his passion and what he plans to do in the future with it.
