Miriam Perez returns in the latest episode of Catanation Studios. Earlier this year, Miriam got deported and wasn't able to return to the States. Though Zoom, we were able to put this podcast together.
Miriam goes though her year where after being deported, she has been able to still work in communities helping other individuals find those tools to return to the States and be reunited with families and loved ones.
Miriam also gets personal as she shares about the sacrifices she had to give in missing events and important moments in her life. This was an emotional podcast listening back and I hope to all of you listening find that bit of joy that Miriam continues to bring in all of our hearts.

Season 8 of Catanation Studios has arrived with a new feel, new logo, but the same purpose.
We are starting with Thao Huynh French, an artist/muralist here in San Diego who shares about her mental health and struggles with racism growing up, and now having her art in this community making a difference doing what she loves, that being art. We also get into the business of Mindful Murals and behind the scenes how how that began.
I found out about Thao's work through word of mouth, as well as walking through San Diego as many of her murals can be spotted in the city. It was a true honor to have Thao on my show, and I hope you hear her story.
Closing off this Season of Catanation Studios, we got to Border X in the middle of The Piñata Festival with Andy Gonzalez. Andy has been heavily involved with so many events in San Diego, & here we hear from all of them.
Andy shares about San Diego Latino Film Festival, coming from Los Angeles, to even the hunt for the best birria in San Diego. Most importantly we share how important is has been for both of us to bring artists in San Diego together.

Barbara is a local artist in San Diego who in the last few months decided to make this her art her full time job. At first started as black and white pieces, Barbara shares about the art she creates now, such as hearts, Mexican culture, and even her mental health.
Aside from that, Barbara will also talk about being a Catrina for Día de los Muertos, but also her involvement now in pop up events, including SoCal Tattoo where she and I officially met.
We finally did it, after 100 Podcast we are here to celebrate this incredible achievement. I was beyond fortunate to gather at least one individual from every Season, including Catanation En Español. Thanks to Ady Spellman, we were able to improvise and create this incredible show.
We share about the experience of my first ever pop-up event which featured Foodshed Inc., Vecinos De City Heights, Chicanalilly, El Borrego Restaurant, TIKA Oaxaca, The Heartful Truth, Isa's Sweets, PinaArt73, & Sweets By Victoria.
