In this episode I share about my experience with an inflammatory disorder called Hidradenitis Suppurativa or H.S. a condition that can cause chronic cysts to manifest on my body inclusive of my groin. A condition that modern medicine knows little to nothing about and that took me 10 years of suffering, frustration, confusion, obsession, fear and self criticism to get a diagnosis for.
I talk on how this has effected my self esteem, sex life and also the debilitating pain it can cause. I also talk on how I had to rise above this potentially life long condition to learn to love me as a sexual being regardless of scars, cysts and the other issues it can cause.
I speak on the topic of letting go of the "ideal" sexy scenario from body issues/image, environment, financial scenario's etc. to choose to be sexual regardless of society pressuring us into believing these things rob us of our sexuality.
