The Race and Training Bandit Problem Runners participating in races and training groups without paying the required registration fees. I explored the downstream impacts of this issue by speaking with Frankie Ruiz, co-founder and co-creator of the Life Time Miami Marathon. He is also the cross-country coach at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami, Florida, where he has led the team to 15 state championships and 3 Southeast Regional Nike NXN titles. Ruiz has also overseen various running events throughout South Florida.
