Sunday Sermons with Minister Early Copeland hopes to provide spiritual and realistic solutions to God's word. The sermons strive to provide biblical knowledge about who God is, what he requires of us, and answers to help us on our daily walk with him.
As a child of God, trials can be seen as a means of growth and refinement. They can serve as opportunities for us to draw closer to Him and trust in His plan for our lives. Trials can test our faith and strengthen our reliance on God's grace and mercy. Even when we don't understand why we are going through difficult times, we can take comfort in knowing that God is with us and that He will never leave us or forsake us. As we face trials, we can pray for wisdom, guidance, and strength, and seek support from our brothers and sisters in Christ. Ultimately, trials can help us to become more like Jesus and prepare us for the eternal glory that awaits us in heaven. Through our trials we can help others grow their faith as they watch us handle our situations in a spiritual manner.Scripture References:Matthew 11:28II Corinthians 1: 8-9II Corinthians 4: 8-9Romans 8:35Jonah 1: 1-16Philippians 4:7
The only way God can use us is by forgetting our past and moving forward. We should press forward knowing that without a doubt God has forgiven us for the things we have done wrong. We must run the race that God has set for each of us. We should not go back and forth with and unstable mindset and behavior. Don’t Give Up!Scripture References:Psalms 119:112James 1:8Romans 4:20-21Philippians 3:13James 1:5-8Genesis 22:3-5Philippians 4:13I Peter 2:22
Regardless of worldly influences, God’s original intent, for the family has not changed! God loves order, even the order of our homes – God, Marriage, Family, and Church. The times have changed, the word of God does not change with the times. The problem in today’s home is not the divine order but the lack of commitment to the divine order. The lack of committing ourselves to someone destroys and divides homes, creating problems, even for the children. Until we get back to God’s original intent, homes will be divided and destroyed! Let’s get back in the order!
Sometimes I our spouses see our imperfections, but imagine the strength that we build when we fall down in front of those who see us fall from trying to do right. They see us get back up again. This message is simply asking what can God do with me?
When God sends blessings, he expects us to handle being responsibly. This expectation, especially applies to those who have been blessed children to teach in the way of God. When Samson’s mother received the news that she was with child in judges 13, the angel gave her instructions. In first, Samuel 1, Hannah dedicated him to the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 and Proverbs 22:6 instruct parents to teach their children the way of the Lord. The impact of honoring the responsibility of teaching the faith to children is expressed in this text, 127:3–4. Arrows are aimed!
As we examine the text today, we will see examples of how to be followers of Christ. Matthew 4:18-22 describes how Jesus told Peter, Andrew, James, and John to drop their nets and follow him. They left everything behind to follow Christ. What or Who are you willing to leave behind to follow Jesus? Are you willing to take up your mat and follow him?
The message will be simple in content and yet profound in practical application. Some times we face circumstances in life that are just out of our control. No amount of our own planning and effort can make it better, or could have even prevented it from occurring. Hard things happen. God understands what causes our hearts to be troubled! On the other hand, as God, He has the power to do something about it!
At times when we are waiting on God, we often do not wait patiently. This leads us to make decisions foolishly only to end up regretting them. Like David, we need to learn how to wait on God. David trusted God and we should do the same.
We are engaged in the greatest struggle that we have ever known. God is working to reach the world for his name sake and the devil is fighting him every step of the way. The church must be a light in the world for God's glory and many times we won't take a stand to protect what the lord has given us. Just like the Philistines, this is not only a time of great conflict but great courage!
