You might even gain a little bit of knowledge, advice, a whole lot of sarcasm, and satire, and you will for sure walk away with a rad dad joke!
What does one thing have to do with another? Well, when it comes to "That's Not What Mom Said," absolutely nothing!
Amy and Tim sit down for another episode of "Friday on Tap" or "Beers and Banter" and wind up talking about October weather and remembering the 1991 Halloween Snowstorm that hit the Twin Cities.
From there the conversation winds to corporate benefits and pensions — where have they gone, you almost need a magnifying lens to see them anymore.
And what the hell is a "Clinker" and how is it derogatory?
Listen in as Amy and Tim shoutout to some cool people they've each recently encountered. For Tim, it was a chance meeting that ended with a free beer, or two. For Amy, it was the opportunity to for a respectful encounter with a friendly TSA agent (they do exist!)

It's never a great start to a project when you have to spend time tracking down the tools or materials you need that are not where you left them. You'd think there would be no problems living in a household of only two people - but you would be wrong!
Also, it usually better to buy quality and have it last, then to save a few bucks and need to replace all too soon.

A person can always justify lying, but what each person needs to ask themself, is "why am I lying?"
Am I making things easier for "them" or myself?
It is said that the truth will set you free - and when you tell the truth you do not have to remember all the lies told.

Are we wasting too much time staring at screen while the world moves on around us? With so much of our consumption coming from screens of different sizes, are we allowing our brains to atrophy? Amy and Tim reflect on how things have changed in their lifetimes (with one of us having a lot more history!)

This certainly is not "roughing it" like when we went camping (E3 The Trials and Tribulations of Camping).
Amy poses thought producing questions she received from her good friend Kath who is a loyal listener. Some are very light-hearted and fun, while a couple really may one think. With the count Daughters 3, Dad 0, Tim claims victory when it comes to totaling your car. Of course Amy points out that in two of the three cases, Tim was the listed owner, if not the driver, of the cars in question.
On a serious note, according to the Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), around 3,300 people die in crashes attributed to distracted driving. Additionally, 289,000 people were injured in these types of crashes. It's worth noting that these statistics likely underestimate the problem, as crash data often relies on drivers self-reporting their distractions to law enforcement.
When you get behind the wheel be single-minded in what're doing. And please, never text and drive - It Can Wait.
Amy and Tim discuss the merits, or the lack of, having to change our clocks twice a year. Which is better, more sunshine in the morning or in the evening?
Then they delve back into the topic of restaurants and tipping.
When should you tip and when is it asking a little too much?
And if you tip your dog groomer, shouldn't you tip your dental hygienist?
Amy and Tim discuss the ever-narrowing balance between credit card points and merchant fees to accept said credit cards. And if you don't want to use your credit card, who accepts checks anymore?
Finally, Amy, well her voice is recognized by someone who has listened to the podcast - does that make her famous?
It's said that money cannot buy happiness, but maybe it can alleviate some anxiety?
