This is the closing episode of our first Podcast series – Bas…Chalthe Jaana. This has been a very dear project for all of us in HR and I am sure you all share the same sentiments with us. A heartfelt thanks to all our speakers /Covid heroes - Pramukh Shankar, Gourisankar Perepa, Vinu Neelakandhan, Prapulla Indranna, Walston Dsouza, Kavita Mishra, , Romeo Joseph, Basavraj Pattihal, Ayush Agrahari, Manju Nimmakayala & Ravi Rebello. And special thanks to our guest storytellers Anushree Edbor, Vigie Fernandes & Ritu Chaubey who shared their personal experiences and life perspectives. And of course, to many others who wanted to share their story but were challenged in their own ways – we respect your personal space. This is a Special Episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana and   the last amongst our series for this year. Life is never easy – it can be a   constant struggle, with extreme lows and incredible highs. Life will humble   us, and it will attempt to break us down. We have seen some of the toughest   times in these past two years - however for some, it has been life-changing.   And Vasanthi & Gopala’s story is one such. There is a reason why we have   this as our last episode, you will know when you are done listening to this   podcast.

Vasanthi leaves us with A smile. A world of optimism   and hope and  A 'you can do it' when things are tough message. An   epitome of Emotional Strength, she is an inspiration to many.

In such a time where we have ceased to exist for the material pleasures of the earth and instead have switched to survival mode, we are once again reminded that, we are all connected in the great Circle of Life!

In today’s episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Anushree Edbor from our HR team in Goa. She brings in a unique thought of celebrating our Little Warriors who probably were the most affected during these lockdowns, yet they all displayed amazing resilience and adapted quickly. They pushed buttons, turned knobs, opened drawers and must have asked a million questions and hypotheses about nearly everything as they took in the enormity of this pandemic, still stood strong, happy and excited.

In this specially curated session Anushree is in a conversation with her 9 yr old son Aryan about his experience. In today’s episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Walston Dsouza from the HN team in Bangalore. He battled Covid and fought the virus - a long battle of 16 days in ICU, then on Oxygen support and is still recovering. We have heard about shortage of medicines, hospital beds, Oxygen etc on TV, media, etc., he has seen it all and attributes his miraculous recovery to the support of his well-wishers. He believes that a spark of hope and a shot of positivity can make all the difference in the world.

In today’s episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Prapulla Indranna from the Component Engineering team. A small gesture to help her household maid in need, bought this infection to her whole family of  three. Though she followed all precautions, a momentary exposure created a mayhem for her. However, the entire family is grateful for all the help rendered by family members, neighbors and especially BBMP. A special cheer to the BBMP team for the Covid kits, doctor’s regular call to check on the family’s health and surprise appearance of the team to disinfect their home. Though these regular visits created some inconvenience to the family, it is heartening to know that there is a whole system working diligently for our care and comfort amidst this chaos.

In today’s episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Vinu Neelakandhan who heads the Video QA team in HN business. Due to the nature of their job, most of the QA team members frequented office and Vinu had the responsibility of ensuring safety of his employees whilst ensuring business continuity. His team members were affected too, including himself – however everyone bounced back strong and are back in office supporting business. Vinu, stood strong and tall (as his personality 😊) with his team during their difficult times. He created a Covid toolkit sort of a ready message on WhatsApp to share with affected members which had all helpline numbers, Covid care tips, who to contact during emergency, etc etc…, the Quality man that he is.

His disciplined regime has helped him and his larger family stay alert and healthy and he shares these nuances with all of us in this podcast, in preparation for the days ahead, just in case.

In today’s episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Gourisankar Perepa who shares his experience as a COVID care-giver. His entire family was affected by Covid and he was the sole member taking care of all of them, scuttling between hospital and home. Had to stay strong for his family through this emotional turmoil. And in the process, he himself underwent a transformation 😊.

While all the focus is on the Covid affected, Gouri’s personal experience makes us realize that the care-givers go through as much, and more.

Hi Everyone

In this episode of Bas…Chalthe Jaana, we have Pramukh Shankar who joined us last August as a fresh grad. A state level chess player and has lent his voice for many musical compositions in the Kannada Media / Movie space. He loves travelling. Trekking is his major hobby. He is a very cheerful chap and takes pride in stating that he comes from the city of education ‘ Tumkur’. Someone this active had to go through this phase too…however, this phase lead to some new life perspectives for him. It is so good to hear him speak about his journey in today’s podcast. He talks about pre-Covid & post-Covid beliefs, family values, his plans for 2021 and how all that changed and of course some words of wisdom coming from a young mind.

He says - “ I have tried my best to inspire people to stay strong and healthy. Let’s all spread love and help people in need as much as possible. ”

All of them that have come forward to share their story and those that are standing in there strong. Life has taught us much more in these past 15 months than what we learnt all these years.
