In this episode, Erin explains what she does as a health, wellness and life coach. When we asked you if you knew what a coach was over on Instagram, half of you said you kind of understood, but weren't totally clear. Let's change that! Erin's experience working with a life coach in her mid-twenties, changed the entire trajectory of her life. She began somatic healing work that helped her reduce anxiety and finally heal her relationship with food and her body. This newfound freedom allowed her the mental capacity and clarity to come up with the idea for the original Raw Beauty Talks interview series and the rest, as they say, is history! Coaches provide strategies and perspectives to help you step into your highest potential. A good coach will provide the right structure, accountability and support to get you from where you are to where you want to be.  As a coach, Erin specifically focuses on these key areas;

Helping you heal your relationship with food and your body through intuitive eating, mindfulness, habit change and mindset work.

Anxiety reduction using evidence-based practices.

Overcoming limiting beliefs and low self-esteem.

Uncovering your purpose and stepping into alignment with your best self.

In this episode Erin explains what health coaching is, and what you can expect when working with one.

What is a health coach vs. a wellness coach vs. a life coach?

What’s the difference between a coach and a therapist?

What can a wellness coach support you with?

What kind of tools does a coach use?

In this episode, Erin celebrates 365 days alcohol-free by reflecting on her experience and everything she learned. When we hear about someone being sober we assume they must have had a really tumultuous relationship with alcohol. In this conversation, Erin dispels the belief that you have to be at rock bottom to let go of alcohol and that sobriety is only for people who are addicted.   Unlike many individuals who are sober, Erin doesn’t relate to being an alcoholic or even having a bad relationship with alcohol. It doesn’t feel like a daily battle to stay sober. What started out as a plan to do ‘dry January’ to give her system a break and to reduce anxiety led her to ask, “Is alcohol really moving me closer or further from the person I want to become?”. Every time the answer was clear.  Grab your coffee, tea or glass of wine (zero judgment here!) and join Erin as she shares ;

Why “Dry January” turned into a year of no alcohol

The incredible shifts she noticed along the way

Her recommendations for anyone thinking of reducing alcohol

Craving specific strategies to help you connect back to your best self

Needing a BFF to remind you just how INCREDIBLE you are!

I got cozy in my favourite sweatsuit, made my daily Turmeric latte and shared 5 tools and mindset shifts that I’m leaning into DAILY to allow me to show up from a space of LOVE, GRATITUDE & CALM.  I ask you some BIG questions to help you show up as your best self no matter where you are at right now.  We can’t always control what is happening around us but we can control how we show up for it.   Grab a coffee or pour yourself a glass of vino, grab your journal and come hang out with me as we wrap up another incredible year together and head into the new year.  Xo Erin

How do you take a moment for yourself?

We are busy, overwhelmed, and overburdened with so much to do.

And while it’s easy to reach for another cup of coffee... ☕

...today we are sharing alternatives that are ethically sourced and organically formulated with options to support anyone, no matter where they may be on their wellness journey.   It all started when Karen Danudjaja spent most of her time in real estate meetings at local cafes drinking the same cup of coffee. She wanted something different: both caffeinated and decaf alternatives that were simple to use and simple to understand.    As she explored her own digestive boundaries and sensitivIty to caffeine, she gathered inspiration from proven ingredients and products with labels you can read, and benefits you believe in.   Karen is now the founder of Blume, which provides versatile blends that make wellness accessible at home and at your favorite cafe.   In today’s episode of Raw Beauty Talks, you’ll hear: 💕 Making a major life pivot from real estate to entrepreneur (and what that really looked like for her!) 💕 Why she doesn’t believe you can waste your time (!!!) 💕 How to navigate failures (without stressing about them). 💕 How she moves out of fear-based cyclical thinking (and you can, too!) 💕 3 wellness tools she’d take to a deserted island

The next story comes from our new podcast partner Shameless Pets, and frankly I love it because EVERY dog or cat owner with kids can relate to it. When the founder of Shameless Pets, James, worked as a corporate food buyer at the giant retailer, he witnessed the absurd amount of food that went unused in stores every week. In fact, in the US alone, 63 MILLION tons of food gets tossed out every year! And here’s the part I love most: when James’ kids were learning to talk, some of their first words were “Mina, no!” because she’d try and swipe their meals. I can totally see that happening in so many households! And that’s when it hit James: he could reproduce the unused ingredients into healthy dog treats that Mina and her pals would love. He teamed up with a food scientist, Alex and Shameless Pets was born! To date, Shameless Pets has saved over half a million pounds of food and turned it into 3 categories of delicious dog treats, as well as a new line of cat treats. There are lobster treats, salmon stripes, berry sticks and many, many more! You can order them to be delivered to your door - and even have an ongoing subscription at your desired frequency to make sure you never run out. When it comes to fashion and beauty…

...Do you see it as a form of self expression?  ...Or something you cannot go in public without in order to be accepted?

Today we’re talking about the effects of the beauty industry on beauty editor Jayme Cyk. She’s worked with VIOLET GREY, WWD, and Elle. Now, she is the co-founder of and repeat, a platform that champions stories of daily rituals that directly impact your mental health and open the door to conversations that are commonly spoken about in private.

Jayme courageously shares her personal story with orthorexia and antidepressants, even while still in the thick of figuring it out.

Orthorexia is an unhealthy focus on eating in a healthy way. Jayme describes her experience: “I think about my next meal, I think about the meal that I've already eaten, and what I shouldn't have eaten, eating things that I deem ‘unhealthy’”

Tune in to this episode of Raw Beauty Talks to uncover: 💕 How a career in the beauty industry has impacted her view on beauty. 💕 What it’s like living with orthorexia (and what’s helping her overcome it!) 💕 What she’s learned writing for major beauty editorials like WWD and Violet Grey.  💕 The difference between routines and rituals in supporting our mental health (yes, there is a difference!) 💕 Her experience with Eastern and Western medicine (and antidepressants).
