In 2008, Jeffrey Rothschild had the unique opportunity to sit down with his grandfather, Herbert Frank Rothschild and ask him about his life from birth to the 1960's. Herb was a successful businessman, husband, and father. He spent his early years in Germany and moved to the United States after the Nazis rose to power. His father was an entrepreneur and started the family on a lifetime of business. That spirit of entrepreneurship was passed down over multiple generations. Herb's stories demonstrate how much he cared about his family, his business, and most of all, his wife, Janice.
This chapter explores when Herb and Janice settle down into their new home and have their first child, Steven.
This episode explore Herb's time in the army while serving in Puerto Rico and his experience during the 1940's.
