Kristian Finne Kristensen

In Underbelly Podcast, Copenhagen-based singer/songwriter Kristian Finne Kristensen of “Chorus Grant” and “Cancer” leads us into a mysterious world of creativity by humming.

His story is an auto-ethnographic account of humming defined as a non-verbal and non-instrumental means of shaping and merging inner and outer soundscapes. The journey of Kristensen's five part podcast and accompanying album begins with his habit of humming spontaneous melodies into his phone - This simple and innocent habit takes on a life of its own as the boundary between internal melodies and external sounds of the world begins to dissolve.

Mystical, yet relatable, Underbelly asks us to reconsider the border between our inner and outer worlds. This podcast is about creativity, life, love, mystery and the peeling off of layers in a search for the music inside each and everyone of us.

(The accompanying full length album Underbelly is also available on streaming services.)
