Gameplay:

The current pre-alpha stage of Champions Ascension focuses largely on a PvP arena battler. And the less crypto savvy players out there will be happy to know that no wallet is necessary to play the game, as the team wanted to open it's doors to the masses.

Right now, the four main criteria that affect your success in PvP are your attacks, family, essence, and parts. The objective is straight forward — two players enter the arena, but only one can exit. To earn rewards and move up the game's competitive ladder, all you have to do is demonstrate that you are the superior player by prevailing over your opposition. But if you prefer, you can also just hang out with your pals and play a slew of mini games that are available in the town centre.

Champions Ascension will feature multiple game modes. Some will be AI-controlled auto-battlers, whilst others will require players to command their own Champions on the battlefield by moving, attacking, and using their abilities. It's worth mentioning that the game is planned to be cross platform in the future including mobile, as said by the team.

In the future players will be able to interact and explore their surroundings by going on missions, engaging in combat, and taking on monsters and bosses. You'll also be able to gather materials through finalizing quests which can be used to craft higher-level items, increase the rarity of gears, or ascend your champion into higher tiers for access to more features and even greater power.

3v3 PvP was perhaps the most highly anticipated addition to the game recently which luck would have it was released today so I was able to check that out, and in this mode you'll be able to team up with your buddies, strategize over voice comm, and storm the Colosseum to earn rewards together. I'm a sucker for anything team orientated, where you can enjoy the spoils of war as a group - so this gets a big green tick from me.

Massina:

Although PvP combat is the game's main focus, Champions Ascension will also include a constantly growing open environment similar to those seen in games such as World of Warcraft, complete with town construction and social aspects. In the future you'll step in to the games realm Massina and experience an immersive world filled with adventure.

Economy / Play 2 Earn:

The game is based on the Ethereum Blockchain and centered around Champion NFT's. To purchase, trade, and transact in the games promised economy, users will require an Ethereum compatible wallet such as Metamask.

It's Free 2 Play and you won't actually require the use of NFT's, but you will however want them if you plan on compounding your earnings. There will be a number of ways to earn rewards including battling, staking, land ownership, breeding, crafting and more. There are even plans for asset holders to help build operational content within the game, to create their own path of earnings. One of the key ways to earn though will be by selling goods in the in-game marketplace to generate that value and profit.

Version 2 of the Whitepaper is said to hit within the next month or two, so I will update you on that once it arrives, but in V1 of the whitepaper there were poised to be 3 tokens that encompass the economy, it's staking, and earning capabilities. I won't go in to detail of those tokens, as their use cases are subject to change in V2 of the whitepaper when it drops.

Gameplay
The core gameplay of Eternal Dragons will be a multi chapter trilogy. The first chapter which is available in the alpha is called "Strife" and it's based on an auto chess game, and is similiar to other autobattlers you may have seen. This is where players battle for victory with powerful dragons and minions. In this gaming mode you will require a fine balance of strategy and tactics to come out on top of your opposition. There is also a city builder and 4x strategy planned for the future.

There are a number of difference game modes to overcome. The gameplay is simple to understand but difficult to master. A player engages in each fight by deploying both dragons and minions from a randomly generated roster onto the battlefield using a bank of activity points. After all forces have been deployed, you will commence battle and conclude without further player involvement. Between each round of combat, this cycle repeats, reducing the health of either you or your opponent until only one player remains. The amount of damage you will do to your opposition is directly related to what level creatures are alive on the battlefield after a round has completed. During battles you can also upgrade your shop so that you have higher level minions and dragons to choose from, so that you may dish out more damage to your opponent each round.

Affinities & Roars
Gameplay is intensified by both affinity's and roars. Affinity's are abilities that either buff or nerf the combat prowess of a player's army. The actual effects can have a variety of triggers, but they won't be enabled until the player has a sufficient number of unique troops with the same affinity in proximity to your other units. For every number of unique units reached, each synergy gets a better buff.

Esports & Guilds
The fundamental gameplay is made to accommodate the world of esports & guilds, where participants may, for instance, choose their own tournaments and establish their own entry fees, inviting others to compete for prize money. Guilds are said to hit the landscape once the city builder is created.

Purchasing Dragons
In Eternal Dragons, a dragon's natural power evolution curve is determined by their amount of Eternium invested aswell as fight experience. Playing frequently with your Dragons and reinvesting your Eternium earnings is one of the easiest ways to increase a players net value. This will in turn increase a dragons market value as a result. You will gain advantages from owning a Genesis Eternal Dragon over the long run for all chapters and their entire ecosystem. There is also a breeding program which offers players a way to participate in the value creation in the ecosystem without having to have game specific skills. Right now on the marketplace, you can purchase an Eternal Dragon for around $160 USD.

Economy
The games main token is called Eternium which is said to be the essence of Time in its purest form, the magical element imbuing and flowing through everything. This is a SPL token on the Solana blockchain.
Eternium is an in-game currency with a changeable supply. The developers are able to regulate the quantity of Eternium, as well as modify the costs of the various things Eternium is used for in order to maintain a healthy game economy.

Players will receive Eternium as rewards for completing quests in the game (such as participating in PvE, winning PvP matches, carrying out specific acts, etc.) and as recognition for noteworthy accomplishments.
It can also be purchased on compatible trading platforms aswell as being awarded to owners of Genesis Eternal Dragons who either nest their pets or participate in community events.

There is also a governance token planned to be released called $EDQ which is designed to reinforce the value proposition of ownership in the Eternal Dragons realm and control the DAO.

Team
Eternal Dragons comes out of a gaming studio called Trailblazer games which is a Singapore based gaming studio which is incredibly impressive having worked on titles such as SimCity and Candy Crush. Their mission is to design and build games that fairly distribute the value created between community, developers, and investors, creating real-life value through true ownership of assets and a distributed revenue share.
Their core team is around 25 strong, with a number of other impressive accolades between them. They're all fully doxxed aswell, so there no worrying about the integrity of the team either.

Scholarship/Pilot Program:
If you're starting out in Spider tanks, DO NOT purchase a tank. There's a scholarship program which is as simple as going into your garage, and checking the Pilot button on the top of the screen. Yep, it's that simple to start earning. Now that you're in the pilot program you can enjoy ranked battle matchmaking and you will be assigned a random tank from the pool of scholars where you will earn a 50/50 split on the returns. Remember that you'll only want to purchase a tank once you've maxed out your honor so that you can increase your earnings (I'll go into this a lot more in my next video).

Honor:
In order to earn anything at all in SpiderTanks you need honor. Honor is a system of rewarding supportive active players, whilst also limiting the rewards of unsupportive players who just want to extract from the ecosystem. Until recently players started off with 0 honor, but now the baseline is 200 and as you win games, your honor will increase to a maximum of 1200 honor, at which point you will receive 100% earning potential.

Purchasing a Tank:
When you're indeed ready to acquire your very own tank, do not purchase one from the gala store here, instead purchase it from Open Sea. When you're doing this, make sure you see the blue verification check next to the Spidertanks name, as we all know how dicey the crypto scene can be at times. Also, be sure to check how many LEVELS the tank has when you're purchasing. Sometimes you can find an absolute steal of a deal with a tank, weapon, or body, that's already been maxed out in upgrades which will save you some cash.

Rarity:
The rarity of components are inextricably linked to their cost because they will likewise affect your earnings as well as your tanks baseline in-game attributes. If you like you can mix and match weapons and body's, meaning if you just want a common body but a rare weapon, that's no issue. The saving grace is, you can still be competitive at the highest level even with a common tank as long as it's upgraded correctly, you will just of course forego the higher amount of earnings per win.

Upgrades:
Once you've chosen your rarity of body and weapon, to increase your earnings even further, you can also upgrade them to a maximum of level 30. Simultaneously this will upgrade your components attributes in regards to it's armor, speed, damage, range, reload time etc. If you want to make sure you can compete with the best, you'll want your upgrades to all be excellent or perfects. You can reroll to get a better upgrade but it will cost you per re-roll. Be careful with this. I've seen players in discord complaining about re-rolling 170-200 times. And at the moment, there's no cap or guarantee you'll get a perfect no matter how many times you roll... and Although I haven't had issues with this, I believe this should be definitely fixed by the devs, as it's random whether you hit an excellent or perfect and I imagine this could lead to extreme frustration from some player.

Upgrade Spreadsheet:
As a bonus, in my discord server under the #spidertanks channel, I've attached an excel spreadsheet with all the costs of upgrades depending on your component rarity so you'll know exactly how much SILK you'll need to transfer in to your gala account for those upgrades. Keep in mind though, this isn't taking in to account the re-rolls you may need.

In my latest video I sit down with Tyler from NFTy Arcade to explore their new tool, and how you can earn while you sleep in Splinterlands.

NFTy Arcade is the technology platform to manage GameFi assets and player performance at scale. Collecting in game rewards and making payments can often be a time consuming process - enter NFTy Arcade. Use their platform to interface with Splinterlands and automatically collect all in-game rewards generated from your assets and compensates your players for their performance.

This tool is a "set-and-forget" for investors, as they can easily delegate multiple decks to a number of different users, and assign a value for the Split of all the assets that are earned for the players who are playing them.

As you connect your accounts to NFTy Arcade, you will be able to visualize the performance of your assets and make better decisions.

I believe there are some pretty great opportunities out there right now, if you have the dry powder.

Let's talk about how we can leverage this newly released knowledge in our latest town hall to our benefit.

Cards with the Giant Killer ability are already starting to increase in value. I myself have already purchased a bunch of all these cards in preparation for Riftwatchers because the Giant Killer ability sounds like it's going to be the biggest counter to most that Riftwatchers has to offer. By the sounds of things we're going to see several high mana cost creatures in Riftwatchers that could all be eliminated in 1 or 2 shots if the Giant Killer ability is implemented into our lineups.

My favorite pick here is a card that I recently featured in one of my latest videos regarding card pickups for the upcoming fire splinter Legendary airdrop Conqueror Jacek - and that is Djinn Inferni. This card is an absolute beast and the only one out of all of the Giant Killer cards that has the ability to instantly delete a number of cards in one hit. At max level he does 5 magic damage meaning he will eek out 10 damage in 1 hit to a card that has a cost of 10 mana or more. That's incredible. I think this card is going to be a huge problem to deal with considering it's synergy with Jacek too because no card is going to be safe wherever you put it in your lineup because of Jaceks scattershot.

Another thing that I wanted to point out here is the new Fury ability coming to the Riftwatchers release and the taunt cards that will be paired alongside it. Listen to Matt in my video talk about this ability.

So we know that there are going to be a number of new taunt cards that are coming to Riftwatchers as well as the fury ability. This will mitigate the annoyance of those taunt cards and allow us to more readily get around them. And you might be thinking to yourself, ok so there's going to be taunt cards, and then there's going to be something that balances the meta of those taunt cards in the fury ability..... WRONG.

Enter Mycellic Slipspawn. Because of forcefield, and I would say it's likely that it won't be on any other Riftwatcher taunt cards. But because of this forcefield ability, cards with fury are going to do 1 damage to Mycellic Slipspawn. This card is going to be a way to play taunt without even having to worry about the new fury ability on those big mana cards that Riftwatchers will bring. I already use this card a ton, but I think the utility for this card has increased substantially for the single reason that it has the forcefield ability.

Before we finish up, I wanted to talk about the new promo card for Riftwatchers which will be airdropped after the first 500,000 packs are sold in Riftwatchers. This will not be available in any other packs after the first 500,000 pack pre-sale.

What an amazing support card this is, and it's going to give a ton of utility to cards like Alvar and Grum.

Why? Well, because of their void armor and high amounts of armor, Oshuur is going to be be able to not only resurrect them but will also be able to get a heal in too because of their void armor and the inability to finish them off with a single magic attack. Oshuur will pair extremely well with both Alvar and Grum, because she'll be able to heal them both before they get killed increasing both of their sustainability. The beauty of both of these cards is that they both have Giant Killer too which we spoke about above.

In my latest video I wanted to go through some cost effective cards which I believe are great pick-ups considering the latest SPS reward updates and changes to daily focuses. If you guys enjoy it, this one will be a two part series to make it more digestible for you all, so make sure you hit the like and subscribe button so you don't miss out on the next one.

In short, using cards that are in line with your daily quest will still reel in more daily chests, season chests and most importantly SPS. And seeing as the number of rshares required to earn daily and season chests has been increased across all leagues, you're going to want to still be using these cards wherever possible. In this video i'm going to highlight my favorite card picks for each ability focus so that you can easily maximize your rewards.

To start off we have the Anti Magic focus. Using cards with either void, phase, or void armor will compound those rshare points. My number #1 pick for this ability focus is going to be the chaos agent with phase. At only 1 mana cost, you'll be able to squeeze him into basically any lineup without drastically affecting your win rate. Also, being a neutral card you can play him alongside any squad unless the taking sides battle ruleset is up. This card is a beast in many rulesets as well as in higher leagues -- and with over a 50% win rate in modern, you're going to want to grab a copy regardless.

Next up we have Reflect where using cards with backfire, return fire, or magic reflect will help gain those extra rshares. My number #1 pick with backfire for this daily focus is... well what do ya know, it's chaos agent! Again, you cannot go wrong with a 1 mana card that can be played in any lineup. An honorable mention also goes to Xenith Monk with the magic reflect ability. He's a great tank in lower mana battles and again can be used alongside any splinter.

Stealth is next, where sneak, snipe, and opportunity will make the difference to those extra rshares. Uraeus is my top tier pick here, and because of his minimal 3 mana cost, he can be slotted into the majority of lineups being a neutral card. He also offers great utility with well over a 50% win rate in most leagues.

Anti-melee is next and the abilities we'll need here are thorns or retaliate. Now because you cannot consistently use a single card here that will slot into any lineup and increase your rewards without affecting your win rate with this focus, personally this is going to be one of the ones I will be avoiding if possible. I still however wanted to mention Disintegrator with retaliate who gains more utility as you progress into higher leagues, you'll find he can be played quite regularly across any splinter. Mylor with thorns is also going to be a great pick, but obviously he cannot be played in any lineup since he is a part of the earth Splinter. His cost also makes him inaccessible to some players. He's also somewhat unpredictable in that he really shines in some rulesets, but then isn't so great in others.

Next up is the Buffs focus - where Swiftness, Inspire, Protect or Strenghten will be required to maximize those rshares. Supply runner is an easy #1 pick here sporting both Swiftness & strengthen whilst offering solid utility in any lineup. For the players who have a little extra cash to splash, I would be going with the Tower Griffin who has Protect and will be able to fit in to more of your squad picks being that his mana requirement is only 4.

Next we have Defend, and we're going to want to be using Shield or Repair to increase our rewards. Another easy #1 pick here is scavo hireling. He is the only card in modern other than Adelade Brightwing who receives repair at level 1. But because of his minimial 3 mana cost, and being that he's neutral and can be played in any squad lineup, he's definitely going to be great here. Ontop of that, with the combination of camoflage and some of the battle rulesets, he can be a real pain to deal with.

Flying is the next focus which of course is the easiest focus ability to remember ability wise. The number one pick by a long shot with the flying ability in modern is Gargoya Devil. For $2.54 for a max copy and over a 60% win rate in all leagues with a card that can be played in any lineup? You'd have to be crazy to not see the value in this card at that price.

In my latest video I explore some cards which I believe are significantly undervalued considering what's coming soon to the Splinterverse.

Conqueror Jacek is the first offensive Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner airdrop card. You'll find that he is suited best for medium to max mana battles and there are now less than 250,000 Chaos Legion packs to be sold before Jacek makes his appearance.

Each pack purchased up until the 10M mark will have a zero point one seven four percent chance of receiving the card (which is roughly 1 in every 575 packs).

But players will be GUARANTEED a Conqueror Jacek card for every 575 Chaos Legion packs purchased, and each of these airdropped cards will have a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil.

The abilities that will synergize the best with Jacek include the following: blast, backfire, flying, dodge, enrage, swiftness, and slow. These will ensure you increase the power of Jaceks default stats and make him even more difficult to deal with.

Because scattershot will randomly target enemy creatures, blast is unquestionably going to work wonders here. It'll allow you to soften up a number of your opponents creatures with splash damage, making it easier for the rest of your high speed and DPS cards to finish the job.

Backfire is great also, as you're already going to have a high evade chance from Jaceks +2 speed, allowing you to essentially dispense extra damage for free.

Dodge + Flying give an extra 25% evade chance on top of Jacek's +2 Speed. This is going to be very useful considering the lack of health your army will have. The same goes with swiftness and slow. If you can decrease your opponents ability to even land a hit, you're going to put yourself in a far superior position.

Glass cannon lineups are going to be terrifying to deal with because of Jaceks offensive capabilities. Including cards which promote high dps as well as high speed will synergize exceptionally well. The only drawback being their obvious lack of health.

These following cards with blast are going to allow you to distribute a multitude of damage across your enemies lineup before a response is even actioned.

There's no denying that Countess Sinash looks great here. And with a number of her abilities falling into the category of the aforementioned, her synergy is indisputable. She has survivability with Camouflage, Swiftness will increase base speed of all your lineup by 3 with Jacek, as well as blast. This is a card that is destined for a substantial price increase once it's finished printing.

Pyromaniac is great value too. Scattershot will super-seed sneak, and his +2 speed will take him up to 7 speed with 4 damage and blast.

Fire Elemental is of course fantastic and has that blast damage and speed too, but the only drawback is the price.

Although pyromancer doesn't quite have the speed of the others, I still like this card because of the potential +3 base speed you can get from Sinash and Jacek, as well as knockout and blast. Also, a little purchasing hack here for you...

If you intend on leveling up the Pyromancer, you only require a level 5 copy at the most. This is because the single benefit Pyromancer receives at max level is piercing. And considering we already receive this from Jacek, this will add no extra benefit but will cost some $70 dollars more unless you find a super cheap BCX copy for a max level.

Chaos Legion cards with high spell damage have also gotten a healthy buff here. If you're lucky with scattershot, these cards will take out healers and support creatures in one shot because they're going to obliterate their base health.

Djinn Inferni will whack cards like Carnage titan, Chaos Dragon, and Diamond Dragon in the face. In fact, he will do enough damage to kill all of these cards in one shot because of Giant Killer and seeing as these cards are usually played on the backline; his utility has exploded with Jacek on board. But regardless whether you come up against these cards or not, 5 base health damage to backline cards is nothing to sneeze at.

My favorite budget pick right now is actually Djinn Apprentice. Once again, 4 base health damage is enough to whack-a-mole most supports for an insta-kill.

But even more, a max copy is only going to set you back less than $13 dollars currently.

Because of the fact that you're most likely running a glass cannon army alongside Jacek... cards with strengthen could give you that little bit of extra sustainability to make sure you can distribute as much damage as possible. I love the supply runner, because not only does he have that strengthen, but he also has swiftness which ofcourse synergises fantastically well with Jacek.

I also have to give a special mention here to Grum, not only is he far cheaper than the others, but because of piercing and the added speed from jacek, he's going to be able to mop up the remainder of your opposition's army once your glass cannons have laid waste. Consequently bloodlust will proc a lot more regularly, making him exceedingly difficult to deal with.

The holy grail pickup is going to be the elemental phoenix, and it's easy to see why.

It's the only card for fire which does magic blast damage. It also has high speed, dodge, flying, and magic reflect. If you're playing this card with Sinash, you're going to have 8 base speed with 50% extra dodge chance from the flying and dodge. The only thing that's going to be able to hit this card is magic, and magic reflect will curtail that anyway. At nearly $700 dollars for a max copy, this certainly isn't for the budget conscious though.

My latest video contains a quick no fuss analysis on liquidity pools, how they work, the risks involved and also the pools which I think are the best to invest in. The information within this video should not be considered financial advice, all opinions are that of my own and if you intend on investing your own capital, you should always seek professional advice or do your own research.

Liquidity refers to the ease of which an asset can be sold quickly for another. It is essential to DeFi (or decentralized finance ecosystems) given that there are no centralized authorities providing the liquidity for users (such as on Binance, Coinbase and other popular exchanges).

The problem is that centralized exchange will always tend to situate the advantage within their favor when exchanging tokens because they have a monopoly on the exchange of those tokens because you're interacting with their order book.

They make money on the “spread” in between the purchase and selling rates of those tokens.

It's a catch 22 because without these centralized authorities or market makers, the exchange market loses its liquidity and becomes inconvenient for the average user due to higher spreads and the longer duration taken to swap tokens.

This is where liquidity pools shine. The idea behind liquidity pools is pretty simple. These pools allow us to forego the order books of market makers and centralized services by re-distributing all of the fee's and trading activity income among the pool participants and liquidity providers.

On Tribal DEX or HIVE engine for instance, there’s a fixed transaction fee of 0.25%. In a nutshell, liquidity providers get to earn a portion of the pool’s trading fees according to what share of the pool they own as reward for their services. Over time, Liquidity providers can earn substantial amounts annually through trading in liquidity pools if the conditions are favorable. You'll also see that some liquidity providers switch between numerous liquidity pools to boost their earnings based on APR's which is known as yield farming.

Although these APR's may look extremely enticing, there are some associated risks which you will need to consider before becoming a liquidity provider. The most important being impermanent loss.

Impermanent loss refers to the temporary loss of liquidity pool tokens. This happens due to a number of factors, but mostly in the form of price volatility. For instance, in the case of a SPS and DEC liquidity pool, if the price of SPS drops by 20%, then Liquidity providers get less value back. This is because they’ve lost 20% on their initial deposited amount into that pool. Therefore, these tokens are no longer equal to their initial value when deposited into the pool, resulting in a transient loss.

In volatile or bear markets, liquidity pools can be thwart with danger for novice investors because frequently there can be these type of swings that can result in impermanent loss.

Moreover, based on the size of these price swings and the duration which a liquidity provider stakes their deposit, the impermanent loss might be offset partially or fully with the rewards, but if you are a liquidity provider and you choose to withdraw your deposited funds before this happens, you will need to be aware that your loss has now become permanent.

When choosing the right liquidity pool for your investment, it's similarly important to recognize that token pairs with higher liquidity have higher trading volume and lower volatility, whereas those with less liquidity have higher volatility. Understanding this concept will ultimately lower the risk entailed. Of course there is the flipside to this in that pools with larger reserves are less profitable from fee's as there is plenty of liquidity to fill larger orders. So you will need to decide which approach is suited depending on your appetite for risk.

The ideal scenario for liquidity pool holders is “sideways” trading with no large swings to the downside or the upside. This will allow you to earn your portion of rewards whilst still maintaining your original deposited position. It is for this fact that correlation analysis is vital to finding pairs which share similar price attributes.

It is important to do this type of analysis frequently as token pairs can decouple quite regularly. For this reason, if you do not have the market knowledge it may be best to stick to regular staking rewards and leave the liquidity pools to the whales.

Here's a little song that I wrote about Splinterlands. I spent a few days on this and kind of just gave up on it - haven't mixed or mastered it but thought i'd post the results anyway.

Here are the lyrics. It's called "Welcome to the Splinterlands".

(Verse 1)

Summoning all your cards and creatures, now your mana is gone

This is a story of swords and blades, it's only just begun

Flesh and bone you're far from home, all you smell is blood

Magic and spells, this is your hell, but your battle has come

(Pre-chorus)

Burning embers, the darkest clouds

Battle mages, make sinister sounds

There's monsters roaring

They're on the prowl

And the Rift-watchers, their screams are loud

(Chorus)

Welcome to the Splinterlands

We hope you're having fun

This is the Splinterlands

Where heads roll just for fun

All the demons are your friends

And the battles never end

(Verse 2)

Battle drums, can you hear them thrum?

Yeah that's the sound of all the orcs, they're gonna come knocking at your door.

So grab your armor and your Splintershards

Cause the legion is comin'

And the arena is filling up.

The countdown has started

There's corpses on the ground

Prepare for your battle,

Will your victory be found?

You see a 'Scarred Llama',

With a Centaur his name is "Kron"

And it seems like an ambush

So will you FIGHT or will you RUN?

(Chorus)

Welcome to the Splinterlands

We hope you're having fun

This is the Splinterlands

Where heads roll just for fun

All the demons are your friends

And the battles never end.

(Chorus)

Welcome to the Splinterlands

We hope you're having fun

This is the Splinterlands

Where heads roll just for fun

All the demons are your friends

And the battles never end.

In my latest video we explore a feature of the game that is going to be immensely important if you want to increase your SPS rewards moving forwards. I think we've perhaps been sleeping on this with all these spectacular new updates we've been spoilt with recently in the Splinterverse.

So guilds are going to be a key factor if you want to supplement your SPS rewards in the future. And right now is the best possible time it's ever been to create a guild because of DEC's lower than peg value cost.

By looking at the yearly range of DEC that it's nearly at the lowest price it's ever been at. This means that any guild building purchases at the moment will be discounted by nearly 50% because of DEC's value currently. With the team's plans to bring DEC's value back up to the 1000 DEC to $1 peg, this is surely a limited opportunity which we should be quick to seize.

To create a guild there is an initial outlay of 10 thousand DEC. At current prices this is only around $5 dollars. Furthermore, to participate in brawls The Arena building can be constructed for only an extra 10k DEC. In total, to get you and your friends brawling and receiving those rewards you will have an initial outlay of only around $10 USD.

What makes this all the more sweeter though is that as mentioned by one of the Splinterlands devs - CryptoMancer in the latest townhall, the first thing Splinterlands are tackling next is brawls and their associated SPS rewards.

There will be 2.5 million SPS per month allocated to brawls, which will end after the 53 months remaining of SPS's distribution. This is around 132 million SPS which is up for grabs from players like yourself. But not only that, this change is said to be the first of many to the guild component of Splinterlands.

With this latest news, I myself have created a guild which i'm prepared to pour a few million DEC into to prepare us all for these SPS rewards and i'll be chipping away at leveling up our buildings as required to maximize our rewards. So this is a call out to all active players with 300k CP or more who would like to be a part of something fun and competitive.

I guess the only mandatory pre-requisite though is that you're an active player in both the chat and brawls and you're someone who would love their very own little Splinerlands family. I'll be running guild specific giveaways to encourage our players, and of course players who want to contribute to levelling up our buildings will obviously be favored. I want to create something special here where we have a group of people who can talk about the game and share their Splinterlands experiences together. So jump into my community discord in the video description below, and post in the #guild-applications channel if this sounds like you and if you think you'd be a good fit.

With talk of the Gladius cards being used on land as well as SPS rewards, and the bonus of increasing your collection power. Now more than ever is a fantastic time to be a part of a guild if you aren't already.

EDIT: This video was created earlier for my GOLD / DIAMOND tier members. Considering DEC's recent pump, the cost of guild creation has increased to $6.20 currently.

In my latest video we talk about Merits & Gladius Cards and why you're going to want to be playing in higher leagues to acquire more of these to supplement your rewards in the future.

If you weren't aware, SPS rewards will soon be available in guild brawls, increasing both the competition and demand for gladiator cards due to these upcoming changes.

To incentivize players to push into higher leagues and get ready for these SPS bonuses, merits have now been added as possible chest rewards across all leagues. This will help encourage players to join guilds and participate in brawls. The Merits themselves can be found in approximately 10% of reward chests.

As with DEC chest rewards, the number of Merits received from a chest will be determined randomly. However, will on average, be found in far greater quantities in chests from higher leagues than in those from lower leagues. Which is why you'll want to push to higher leagues to acquire them.

You'll also want to know that the "Merit Bonus" from the guild store building will be applied to Merits earned from reward chests - so you're going to want to be upgrading those guild stores before these changes go live. As an example, you can see here that a level 4 guild store will provide a whopping 60% increase in Merits from reward chests.

Another important thing to note is that Gladius cards offer 2x the amount of collection power for standard cards over Chaos Legion cards, and 4x more collection power for Gold Foil cards. This is because the Gladius Edition cards provide the same collection power as the Untamed Cards Edition which is significantly higher than Chaos. This will not only help with league placement and CP requirements for higher leagues to ensure those higher rewards, but now with the SPS airdrop finishing, it will also offer you an alternative way to accumulate SPS rewards using collection power as opposed to the airdrop.

It's easy to see here that Gladius packs are a great way to increase your collection power to advance into higher leagues, whilst also preparing you for those juicy SPS rewards that are coming to brawl battles in the future. And some of these cards are absolutely devastating at max levels.

In my latest video we do an in-depth dive into the latest legendary summoner Grandmaster Rathe. I highlight what cards you'll need to pick-up, how he will change the meta, and effective counters to beat this incredible summoner.

Rathe is the first of the 6 legendary summoners from the Chaos Legion edition airdrops. Each pack purchased through the Splinterlands shop before the release of Rathe had a 0.182% chance of receiving the airdrop. Which means that 1 in every 550 packs are guaranteed to receive the card.

This card is significant because the life splinter was already the most heavily armored Splinter amongst all other elements and now it's biggest weakness that was faced in magic attacks has been massively mitigated.

The card itself boasts +1 Armor to all friendly units, as well as the ability to block magic attacks through Void Armor whilst also amplifying any damage taken from thorns, return fire and magic reflect. This makes this summoner adept in both it's offensive and defensive capabilities.

Synergizing Abilities:

The abilities that will synergize the best with this new summoner are cards that have the protect, resurrect, repair, thorns, magic reflect, and return fire. So keep an eye on the pricing of cards with these abilities moving forwards.

Protect will now offer even further sustainability, repair will extend that sustainability, resurrect will multiply that sustainability, and thorns, magic reflect and return fire will now render higher amounts of damage.

**Cards To Pick-up:

**

Cards with the shield ability which are usually already high in armor will now also receive a handsome buff with rathe. Not only will these cards be able to reduce damage from both melee and ranged, but they will now also be able to mitigate spell damage too. This essentially makes them complete all rounders being that their only previous weakness was magic attacks. In response, these could be fantastic pick ups. For the budget conscious, focusing on Chaos Knight could be the key here at less than $25 USD for a max copy.

Other favorites that will certainly be able to tip the scales in your favor are:

Adelaide Brightwing - Repair / Resurrect.

Uriel - A ton of armor, previously only susceptible to magic attacks.

Truth Speaker - Protect +2 Armor, Heal & Clense (great sustainability).

Armorsmith - Repair (sustainability)

Blinding Reflector - Magic Reflect with decent armor for low mana battles.

Pelacor Conjurer - Magic Reflect, great utility, low cost.

Summoners that Grandmaster Rathe counters:

+1 magic summoners (Alric, Valnamore, Obsidian, Delwyn) are now going to be met with a far harder task than previously vs Rathe's Void Armor, so if you're seeing your opponent playing these cards heavily in their previous battle picks, rathe could be a fantastic counter here.

Abilities that you'll need to counter Rathe:

The abilities that you're going to unequivocally require to deal with Rathe are Shatter, Rust and Piercing. With these abilities we can either forgo a units armor completely or at least remove it quickly. An honorable mention goes to the Weirding warrior which for the budget conscious. It's one of the cheapest cards with shatter. And at only $35 dollars for a max copy he's going to be a great pickup. Battering ram has had a huge buff here too seeing as this is an incredibly low mana cost and it is the only card with shatter that is neutral meaning it can be played in any Element or squad lineup. Gem meteor is also going to be great as it's going to be able to skip straight past the Shieldbearer / Rathe combo with scattershot whilst also having piercing with high damage and can also be played in any lineup being that it's a neutral card.

In my latest video I talk about some specific card investments that will put you in good stead for the upcoming changes to the rewards system. These assets will not only have increased utility down the road but they will also help you gain extra rewards on a daily basis.

Neutral cards are a great way for both beginners and adept players to stack those w's because with the exception of the taking sides ruleset where no neutrals can be played, these cards have far greater application than the majority of other Splinterlands cards for the simple reason that they are not splinter specific and can be played whenever you enter the battlefield. For that reason, other than summoners, theses could be some of the most important cards within the Splinterverse. And right now may be one of the best times to purchase these cards as the card market has taken a dive recently and some of them can be picked up for mere peanuts.

We also know that with the latest daily focuses reward update, the way that these focuses will be structured will be changing in the not too distant future.

One question I would like you to ask yourselves is, how could the Splinterlands team make card and rental prices increase? The simplest change here is the most obvious. If the daily focuses are changed and instead of a player being able to rent out just one splinter of cards for the day, why not make the daily focuses ability specific as this would essentially force players to purchase or rent more cards, which would obviously bring more value to both cards and rentals and we'd likely see a hike in card prices as a result.

I'd like to introduce you to a fantastic tool which some of you may or may not know which will help you find these undervalued cards. I'll leave the linkage for this in the video description below.

Here we have Summoners Lab, and we can hit the explore button at the top and then select neutral, personally i'll be playing modern mostly so i'm just going to look for chaos legion, untamed and dice cards. So lets go ahead and select those filters too. You can also choose the league you will be playing in the most here too.

Now that we've done this, we can hit the seven day percentage column and this is going to short list all of the cards with the largest reduction in price over the past 7 days. You can make a mental note of these or jot them down so that you remember them.

Now that we know the cards that are undervalued, we can go to the cards menu at the top, put in the same filters that we used on the explore page, and then also sort by win rate, and now we have considered the two most important variables. The cards with the highest win rate and also the cards which have dropped substantially in value over the past 7 days. This has allowed us to pinpoint the exact cards which are currently the most undervalued.

A handy tip for those new to the Splinterverse, the best time to purchase these undervalued assets is usually towards the end of the season when there is an influx of cards hitting the market from all the rewards players have accumulated. You'll notice if you look at Summoners Lab, there will be a decrease in card prices around this time.

So now that we have jotted this information down, we're going to head over to Peakmonsters. I prefer to use Peakmonsters than any other card market, because if we're making larger purchases, we're going to receive the PKM token as a bonus where we can redeem portions of the fee's paid from the card market. If you want a detailed analysis of the PKM token, I have a video which you can check out about that too which I'll also leave a link for below. But essentially if we are making larger card purchases, we're going to get something back for it.

Just as a side note, unless you're planning on purchasing chaos legion packs, which means that it doesn't matter if DEC increases or decreases in value because it's pegged to chaos legion boosters. I probably wouldn't risk holding huge amounts of DEC at the moment for an extended period of time because we'll likely see some selling pressure as we progress closer to the airdrop end where individuals will be swapping their DEC tokens for others that have a more stable price action.

So now you can go through the cards that you jotted down and either put bids on them or purchase them in bulk.

You're now a master at finding cards that have great win rates whilst also being incredibly undervalued. I hope you've found this useful and if you have i'd love for you to consider subscribing so you can keep up to date with all my latest Splinterlands content.

In my latest video I wanted to talk about the SPS token which is a part of the multi token ecosystem in Splinterlands. This token could very well go parabolic if a combination of these circumstances materialised over the coming months, so I wanted to share those with you and go into more detail to explore the possibilities of SPS's future value.

At it's all time high's a few months after the token was deployed last year, SPS had a market cap valuation of nearly 170 million and a price of $1.12. At this point in time there were only 150 million tokens in circulation. Consequently this meant that the price action could quite easily be pushed higher.

If we fast forward to now, the current market cap of SPS is 46 million with a price of $0.0579 cents with roughly 800 million tokens in circulation instead of the 150 million tokens in circulation at SPS's previous highs.

The last time SPS actually had a market cap of 46 million was back in September 2021 at a price of $0.34 cents. And the reason why SPS had the same market cap valuation back in September but was worth nearly 6 times the current price of $0.0579 at $0.34 cents is again because back then there were far less tokens distributed and in circulation (135 million to be precise), so we can see that as a consequence of more tokens being distributed, a dilution in the overall value of the token becomes apparent too.

This dilution is made clearer if we take today's price of SPS of $0.0579 cents and we saw a rally up to $0.21 cents, if this price was reached, the token would actually have the same market cap valuation that it had at it's all time highs (change to 0.21 cents earlier chart). back up here in October last year when it was priced at $1.12.

The question is though, how do we remedy this?

Well, the easiest way to increase SPS's value would be by decreasing it's supply. But this would have to be in a substantial way.

On July the 26th of 2021 when the token was deployed, 50 million SPS was added into the foundation treasury. This foundation is controlled entirely by the staked SPS token holders through the DAO, Once the DAO is live, token holders will be able to submit proposals on how they want these tokens to be used, and if the proposal is passed based on a vote of staked SPS token holders, then the tokens will be distributed accordingly.

In total over the 65 months of SPS distribution, 300 million SPS or 10% of the total ever max supply of SPS will go into this foundation treasury. Currently there are still 53 or so months of SPS distribution remaining.

From this total 300 million going into the foundation treasury over the 65 months, we can estimate that nearly 4 million SPS is being added to the foundation treasury per month. Meaning that in total, so far, the foundation treasury currently has around 100 million SPS in it.

In my eyes, the most prudent thing to do with this SPS would be to just burn it all as this would reduce the current total SPS supply by 12% which would allow more breathing room for SPS to increase in value.

Secondly, as seen on the latest road map, we aren't too far away from the release of Riftwatchers which is the next mini edition of booster packs to be sold in the Splinterverse and will only be able to be purchased using SPS tokens - all of which will go directly into the SPS foundation treasury. In total there will be 3 million Riftwatcher boosters sold at an estimated value of $5 dollars worth of SPS per pack. At current prices 260 million SPS would go into the treasury from the Riftwatchers sale.

If we were to combine the Riftwatchers sale with what is already in the foundation treasury leaving that 70% price increase buffer to cater for less SPS going into the treasury if SPS increased in price between now and then. This would equate to nearly 250 million SPS tokens available to SPS holders to do with what they please. If we were to burn 250 million SPS, that would be 30% of SPS's current supply. Which starts looking increasingly enticing to SPS holders.

If somehow SPS price stayed at it's current value of $0.0579 cents up until and throughout the Riftwatchers sale which is unlikely, this would equate to 260 million SPS going to the foundation treasury which if combined with the current SPS already in the treasury would be a total of 360 million SPS. If THIS amount was burned, that would mean a 44% reduction of the total token supply currently.

When we start getting into these type of amounts and talking about over 40% of the supply of a token being burned, large price movement would follow.

Hey Splinterfam!

Today i've prepared a how to video on purchasing SPS with no fee's. I thought i'd create this video because I didn't really see anything available out there, and I understand that crypto can be daunting for some, so why not create a simple step-by-step video on how to do this in the cheapest manner possible.

So there are 2 things we're going to need here:

Firstly we're going to need a crypto.com account as this is one of the only exchanges currently where you can purchase SPS directly with a debit or credit card.

You can open an account either on your phone with the crypto.com phone app whether you're a google or apple user. But also, if your country allows it, you can instead use the desktop website and open an exchange account with crypto.com for more accessibility. The reason we are going to use crypto.com is because for the first 30 days after opening your account, you will not have to pay any fee's to purchase crypto's up to the sum of $30,000 dollars. Which is where the no fee's part comes in. Be a champion and also use my referral link: https://crypto.com/exch/fqqq3fnm7x as we'll both be granted an extra $25 dollars too if all steps are fulfilled.

Secondly we're going to need a meta mask account. Again, this can be downloaded as an extension for your browser, you can follow this link for that: https://metamask.io/download/

Otherwise you can simply download the app from your phone on either the apple or google app store if you don't have access to a desktop computer. Metamask is an online cryptocurrency wallet where you can hold many different cryptocurrencies simultaneously and you will be given your unique wallet number and seed phrase which you should write down somewhere safe because if you lose that, you won't be able to access your monies.

Now that we have an account with Metamask, we're going to do 2 things. Firstly we're going to have to add the binance smart chain network to it, as this is the network that SPS runs on. Basically, different cryptocurrencies run on different networks, so we need to make sure that we add the correct network synonmous with SPS in order to send and receive it. We can do this manually by searching for the specific binance smart chain network parameters on the official binance website. Otherwise we can go to https://www.chainlist.org where you can add multiple networks with ease. So on the chainlist website go ahead and click connect wallet where it says Binance Smart Chain, and then you will get a button that says add to metamask. If you are looking at purchasing other crypto's that are on different networks, remember for later that you can add them easily here too.

Now that we've added the BSC network, we can select it at the top of META MASK by click on the drop down menu at the top of the metamask window and select "Binance Smart Chain Mainnet". After we've done this we are going to have to import the token into Metamask. If you are a new wallet holder you will have to add it, as the default visibility is hidden. To do this, we need to add the contract address of SPS. A contract address is essentially the address from which the token was deployed. Think of it like the company address or the central hub for the token. We need to do this so we can see a visual representation of the amount of the token we have in our metamask wallet.

So to find the contract address we'll head over to https://www.cryptomarketcap.com which is a database of all cryptocurrencies available and we'll type in SPS in the top right hand corner to find our token. Just below all the information here for SPS there is the contract address and a handy little button that allows you to automatically add the information to metamask autotomatically. So click on that.

Next we're going to need some BNB. BNB is binance coin, and this is a cryptocurrency that can be used to trade and pay gas fees on the Binance smart chain network.

Gas is the unit of measurement used to describe the computational resources required to execute a transaction on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Each transaction on the blockchain uses resources and requires a fee. If we were using a different network like ethereum network, we would be paying gas in ethereum. However because SPS is located on BSC we will need Binance coin. One of the great things about the binance smart chain is that gas fee's are extremely minimal as opposed to some other networks.

So we can do this a number of different ways, you can either purchase BNB directly from Metamask by pressing the buy button in Metamask. I only transferred $5 dollars worth which will last me quite some time. Or you can do it from the crypto.com phone app. By the way, this is a good time to mention that you can transfer any crypto's for free between your crypto.com phone app and the crypto.com exchange desktop version by simply pressing on the crypto in your phone app and then pressing the withdraw and then select "Transfer crypto to crypto.com exchange with no fee's" or vise versa if you so desire.

Once you've purchased a little bit of BNB, we're going to transfer this to Metamask by choosing transfer to an external wallet in the crypto.com app. So if you're using the metamask phone app you can just click the receive button and it will copy your BSC wallet address and then paste that into your crypto.com external address field. Or if you're doing it from your computer you can just go into your wallet and hit this wallet address field and it will automatically copy it, and then just paste that into the external wallet address field on the exchange.

Once that has been sent over, it will show up in your Metamask wallet once the transaction is processed and confirmed.

Now that we've done that, we can send our SPS that we've purchased over to Metamask. We'll do this by heading to our crypto.com app or exchange and hitting the withdraw button. Select external wallet address and then click the add withdrawal address. Before entering the address make sure BEP20 is selected in the drop down menu. Now we can add the address which is the same address that we copied from Metamask, so we can go back over to Metamask, copy the address and then paste that into this field. This will make it so that we don't have to look up the address whenever we want to transfer to our metamask wallet in the future. Once that's all done and you've added your address, I would first send a minimal amount of SPS to ensure that you have the correct address and you have followed all the steps correctly. I first did a test withdrawl of a small amount before using a larger amount to ensure it's delivery because if you send it to the wrong address, poof, your hard earned cash is likely gone. The transferring process should take 5-10 minutes.

So it took a total of 7 minutes to send the SPS into my Metamask wallet, but this will vary depending on how congested the network is. And we're at the final stage now that we have both tokens (SPS & BNB) in our metamask wallet and we're ready to send the SPS over into the Splinterlands game. So lets head over to our SPS wallet in splinterlands and then hit the "manage wallets" button. Click on Binance Smart Chain and again copy and paste your metamask BSC wallet address. A window will pop up with metamask asking if you want to connect this account to the Splinterlands website, and you can hit approve.

Now all we have to do is click the transfer button down the bottom and select Binance Smart Chain from the drop down menu, then select how much SPS you want to send over. Click "TRANSFER IN" and another window will pop up where you can start the transfer. And that's it! Congratulations! You've successfully created a crypto wallet, added the required networks, transferred funds into it and into the Splinterlands game, without any fee's when purchasing from crypto.com. Unfortunately there will always be gas fee's when sending to any network, and we should look at these as the cost of doing business. But fortunately they were extremely minimal. Infact in total I think I paid $10 dollars including the TeraBlock fee's. Which is far less than the 5% usual cost of the total amount transferred.

You'll still have BNB left over in your Metamask account for the next time you wish to purchase SPS and send it over because as mentioned, it only requires a very small amount to transfer

Thats all I have for you at the moment guys, thanks for watching the video, and I hope this has helped some of the newcomers to the crypto scene get in to SPS as I believe we're incredibly undervalued at current prices. I'd love it if you used my referral code because it'll benefit both of us. Appreciate your support as always.

In my latest video we look at a pattern that has emerged in relation to SPS' price action.

The pattern is called a double three, which is a sideways combination of two Elliot Wave corrective patterns that are interconnected by another intervening wave. Included in this pattern could be a zig zag, flat, or triangle. When two of these corrective patterns are combined together, we get a double three. These connective waves are represented by WXY.

The Guidelines:

• A combination of two corrective structures labelled as WXY

• Wave W and wave Y subdivision can be zigzag, flat, double three of smaller degree, or triple three of smaller degree

• Wave X can be any corrective structure

• WXY is a 7 swing structure

In addition it's important to understand the Fibonacci Ratio Relationships between these moves.

The following are the relationships we need to know:

• Wave X = 50%, 61.8%, 76.4%, or 85.4% of wave W

• Wave Y = 61.8%, 100%, or 123.6% of wave W

• Wave Y can not pass 161.8% of wave W

In the video we plot out the variables of the pattern and talk about how it forms.

In my latest video we go through a return on investment with the latest reward system update.

I thought I'd throw a bit of DEC at the rental market and do an experiment in profitability with the new rewards system. Win streaks and card bonuses play such a crucial role with this new change, so I decided to rent out some cards so I could increase my win rate whilst also soaking up some of those extra rewards from these applied bonuses.

I'm not going to go into the details about exactly how the new reward system works, if you'd like to learn more about that and how you can make the most out of it you can go and watch my previous video on the latest update. In this video however, I will go over 3 days of rental costs and rewards to see how profitable renting could be.

The following are a few things considerations:

  • A players current league placing and rshares per win, for instance, if I am needing diamond league rshares and I am playing in gold and getting gold league rshares, this will hamper my rate of return.
  • Previous season league placing. I will have a higher rate of gold foil and legendary drops as well as DEC reward multipliers the higher my league placing.
  • The value of DEC when purchased (in my example I purchased the DEC at 0.001082).
  • Cost of rentals. I believe rentals will increase in value substantially over the coming seasons as the rental market finds it's footing and reward profits are realized.

For the sake of continuity, in this experiment i'm going to try and spend around 500 DEC per day on rentals and push for an average of 12 chests per day if my capture rate will allow it.

(DAY 1):

482.676 DEC @ $0.001082 per dec - $0.522 cost.

I was handed the death focus. I struggled a little bit in gold because it was the start of the season and everyone was trying to claw back into their respective leagues, the players I were coming up against mostly had huge CP decks. The following were the cards I rented out. Nevertheless, I managed to get 11 chests even though I lost a decent portion of my matches. I made a total of $0.90 cents which procured a 73.0769% ROI.

(DAY 2)

554.206 DEC @ $0.001082 per dec - $0.59 cost.

I inherited the dragon focus which was great considering it's my favourite splinter. I misjudged the daily focus end time, therefore I didn't play as much as I could have and reaped lesser rewards because of it, something i plan to remedy in the following day. The following were the cards I rented out. In total I received 7 chests. Irregardless of playing less, I still made $1.74 from my daily rewards because I was playing mostly in Diamond III/II instead of gold which resulted in a 194.915% ROI.

(DAY3)

489.447 DEC @ $0.001082 per dec - $0.52 cents.

Day 3 I again was lucky enough to have the dragon splinter. I made up for misjudging the time remaining on day 2. I was in the swing of things and playing in diamond I, so I was acquiring a higher amount of rshares per win. These were the cards I rented which allowed me to push to a total of 20 chests. The following were my rewards, which in aggregate resulted in a profit of $3.88 or a 646.154% ROI.

In total for the 3 days my return on investment was 300% not counting my season reward chests. My accumulative total amount of chests thus far counting my season and daily focus quests is 88. 50 of these are my season reward chests and 38 are my daily focus chests. There are still 10 days remaining of the season, and considering I've reached 50 season chest rewards already, I'm pretty confident I should be able to receive over 100+ season chests by the time we reach the end of season. This would increase my ROI substantially. Last season for finishing in diamond one, I would have only accrued 60 chests in total, so this will be a huge improvement - especially considering the increased drop rate of higher value loot.

In the video I also go over a hypothetical of a whales ROI.

Thanks for watching!

In this latest video we learn about an investment opportunity which I touched on in one of my previous videos but didn't really do a proper ROI. I had a question recently in my community discord which made me realize that perhaps people still aren't thinking about this opportunity correctly.

DEC / CHAOS LEGION

So we specifically talk about the purchase of DEC/Chaos Legion and how now has never been a better time to make preparations to purchase these boosters.

If we were looking to purchase 550 packs to make sure that we're guaranteed the next card airdrops, we would require 2 million odd DEC. Because 1000 DEC is now pegged to $1 USD in regards to any purchases made through the Splinterlands shop, there is no risk on the table if we were to hold that DEC and purchase these boosters at a later date because it's neither here nor there if DEC drops within that time; as we can still redeem 1000 DEC for $1 USD. In fact, if we were to hold 2 million DEC for the last 58 days remaining days of the SPS airdrop we would accrue 7,577 SPS by the end of the airdrop. At current SPS prices this would be $712 dollars worth of SPS.

If DEC decreased within this time below it's peg, we would still be able to purchase the same amount of Chaos Legion packs at the end of the airdrop and be $712 dollars up on SPS at current value. If DEC rose however within this time, we would not only be making a profit from the SPS accumulated, but we would also be making a profit on the difference in value of DEC from now until then too.

AIRDROP CARDS

Not only this, but we are also reaching the pointy end of the Chaos Legion sale meaning that the remaining card airdrops are legendary summoners. These, as with any release, have been shown to be the most valuable cards within each edition. So now we would also be guaranteed airdrops throughout the remainder of the Chaos Legion Sale. At a guess, I would presume these airdrops would be worth somewhere in the realms of 60-100 USD in value upon their release. So now we've made $712 USD in SPS, $400 or so dollars on the remaining airdrops, and have 550 packs of chaos legion which are also likely to soar in value when the Chaos Legion sale comes to an end, especially since the latest rewards update and the crucial requirement of cards to increase those rewards.

The more packs an individual is willing to purchase (if the DEC is purchased now in preparation) will compound our returns; as we will assume a larger amount of SPS airdropped as well as more airdropped cards, plus the possibility of DEC & SPS increasing within this period of time.

VOUCHERS

There's another bonus here though. Right now, vouchers are going for only $1.16 and because we receive a 15% booster pack bonus, we could receive 82 more packs on our 550 packs for just $95.12 in vouchers. That's $328 dollars worth of Chaos Legion Booster pack value for only $95.12.

In the video we also go over a bullish and bearish ROI scenario so you can see profit entailed.

CONCLUSION

It is abundantly clear to see that if we were thinking about purchasing Chaos Legion boosters right now, the best way to do this would be to hold on to the DEC and wait for the remaining SPS airdrop days to materialize before purchasing. If done this way, our risk to reward is incredible. We would accumulate free SPS which could possibly rise in value between now and then, the DEC that we purchase now also has the possibility of rising in value, we would receive free airdrop cards which add to our returns, we could increase the amount of packs purchased with vouchers thus receiving a ton more packs at a huge discount, and we could do all of this with minimal risk because even if DEC drops below peg, we could still purchase regardless, whilst having a truck load more SPS as well as airdrop cards at no extra cost.

In todays video we go over the validator license sale with some stats aswell as a conversation that was had from Matt & Hardpoint.

It's no secret that the validator license sale was a huge success with over 1000 licenses sold in the first few minutes, and the rest of the pre-sale selling out in just 11 minutes.

We've now sold out 2000 pre-sale nodes and have already progressed into Trance 1 with 307 being already sold respectively. Over 22.5 million SPS has been burned equating to nearly 2.5 million dollars, aswell as 1,153,500 vouchers equating to nearly 2 million dollars, and a chunk of SPS going into the foundation treasury too.

The amount of staked SPS is also higher than the un-staked SPS, which shows strong community sentiment. The belief in SPS & the Splinterlands product are at a high as we progress through what is remaining of the SPS airdrop.

Something really interesting to consider is that vouchers are currently trading at more than 50% below their soft floor price of $3.00 at $1.44 which is how much they're worth to an individual wanting to purchase a node. So I believe these are far below what they're worth, and are undervalued at the moment considering over 30% of the total supply has also been burned thus far throughout the sale.

SPS is again trading in the lower portion of the trading range at around 0.095 cents, presenting some great value to be had here too.

Check out the video if you'd like to hear the conversation between the fantastic Yabamatt & Hardpoint with more on the licenses, and when they're planned on hitting the Splinterverse.

Splinterfam!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for the continued support of my channel. I appreciate you all and I'm stoked to be on this play2earn journey with you. We're nearly over the 2k sub hurdle on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/c/cryptollama), so if you enjoy my content I'd love it if you'd consider subscribing to my channel to help me reach that goal. As a thank you, I'm giving away 10 vouchers via my twitter page in appreciation for your support.

With that said, today we're going to talk about maximizing your returns with the upcoming reward system update. I'm not going to go into the detail about all the exact changes to the new reward system, i'll leave the official post in the video description below so that you can go through that at your own pace. Instead I wanted to focus on, how you can extract the most rewards per season.

So, although these changes will allow the amount and value of rewards earned through daily and season loot chests to be significantly increased across all leagues, it's important to understand exactly how these rewards are calculated to make sure we can extract the most from this change efficiently.

Rshares

The formula that determines the amount of rewards and also the signficance of your rewards earnt is called rShares. This formula takes into account your current league rating cubed, your energy capture rate (or ECR), whether you're using gold foil or older edition cards in battle, whether you're using starter cards, your win streaks, aswell as benefits from the guild quest lodge. The reward shares (or rShares) earned from every ranked battle win during a season using this criteria will contribute to a players season reward points for that season.

With the change to the reward system a maximum of 150 loot chests can be earned each season rewards, and players in any league from Bronze to Champion have the opportunity to earn this number of chests in this update. However, It's important to note that the type of loot chests each player will earn in the current season is based actually on the highest league achieved in the previous season. As an example, if a player reached Diamond league at any point during the previous season then in the current new season they will earn Diamond loot chests no matter what league they are currently playing in.

Cut Your Coat According to your Cloth

This is where the saying Cut your coat according to your cloth reigns true. Because playing in a league which allows battles to be consistently won is going to be the key determining factor from a rewards standpoint, as higher leagues levels require a higher amount of rshares. So the question we need to ask ourselves is: "Should I Advance into the next league?"

To help you understand this, we go over an example in the video using the Rshares per win table using an extreme scenario.

In my latest video we talk about algorithmic stable coins and their potential risks in the crypto world and how that may have an effect on DEC - Splinterlands stable coin.

-ALGORITHMIC STABLE COINS-

So, stablecoins are cryptocurrencies that are supposed to be pegged to fiat currencies like the US dollar. The two biggest ones, tether's (USDT) and Circle's (USDC) coin, are “over-collateralized” by fiat reserves, meaning they have cash or cash-equivalent assets in their reserves. Each USDT or USDC traded in the crypto market is backed by what’s actually in the possession of the stablecoin issuers. Because of this, they can be easily exchanged for cash or highly liquid cash equivalents.

In contrast, algorithmic stablecoins rely on instructions coded into the token and active treasury management to hold their value. UST, which operated in tandem with Luna, was the most popular and controversial of these type of tokens.

Regardless though, like their "traditional" counterparts, algorithmic stable coins are intended to provide calm amid the chaos in the crypto world, but it has been proven recently that they can also serve as lightning rods in volatile markets. The recent incident of UST losing its dollar peg has sent shockwaves throughout the crypto market as it has exposed the weakness' of algorithm stable coins.

-THE PERFECT STORM-

When all of the non-asset based mechanisms that gave LUNA & UST their value broke down, UST lost its dollar peg. Along with the sum of a number of illfated circumstances this created a perfect storm for a black swan event. LUNA’s price was under pressure, so UST holders feared that the UST peg was at risk and decided to redeem their UST positions. In doing so, UST was burnt and LUNA was minted and sold on the market. This exacerbated further decline of LUNA’s price creating hyperinflation whilst additionally pushing more UST holders to sell their UST. Furthermore, a large drop in the total market cap of crypto at the time created further selling pressure. As the price of LUNA fell, this also triggered liquidations of LUNA collateral positions on defi platforms. And if that wasn't bad enough, because of the panic and network congestion, users had the inability to access wallets to deposit funds to decrease their loan-to-value (LTV) ratios, forcing even further liquidations. The demand for Terra's stablecoins flatlined as a result and huge losses materalized.

-THE DEC DIFFERENCE-

Thankfully, Unlike TERRA'S UST, DEC is backed by actual assets and Matt was quick to announce that the purchasing of potions and chaos legion boosters will be reintroduced to the Splinterlands shop using DEC tokens at a fixed rate of 1000 DEC per $1 USD. In turn, this could have a tremendous effect on the sale of the remaining Chaos Legion packs, because if DEC drops below the peg price, purchasers would essentially be getting Chaos Legion packs heavily discounted.

Right now, and unlike TERRA's UST, it's actually beneficial for DEC to be below peg for 2 key reasons:

The first, - If DEC is below peg, as mentioned, this means that Chaos Legion boosters will be essentially discounted, as 4000 DEC regardless of it's cost to purchase or it's current value, will be redeemable for a Chaos Legion pack because of it's fixed dollar value.

The second reason is that, if users wished to purchase a ton of DEC right now to benefit from the remaining 70 odd days available to them for the SPS air drop they could do this and not even worry about whether the price of DEC see's further decline. Because In this scenario, even if DEC did drop futher, at the end of the SPS airdrop period, the DEC would still have a fixed value of 1000 DEC to $1 USD, and at that time the user could simply purchase Chaos Legion packs with their DEC regardless of DEC's value and still receive their fixed DEC to dollar value. This would allow users to accumulate and enjoy the remainder of the free SPS airdrops period, without having to worry about DEC's future value.

As we saw with the Terra ecosystems death spiral, there is inherent danger with algorithmic stables that are essentially backed by nothing. However, the idea of backing a stable coin with capital generating assets like how Splinterlands is demonstrating, is not only genius, but also could be the critical component needed for successful algorithmic stable coins. This kind of innovation is one of many reason why the Play 2 Earn space has such a promising future.

In this video we go over my top 5 Splinterlands Investment Opportunities for 2022.

We briefly cover the following assets and why I think they're HOT long term investment picks.

Vouchers:

Being a measurement of staked days, vouchers are the incentivization and reward for staking SPS. They are distributed at a rate of 20,000 per day depending on your percentage of staked SPS. As it has been said previously, these tokens are going to be a crucial element in the sales, promotion, and all the coolest assets in Splinterlands. As an example, the Chaos Legion pre-sale was only available to voucher holders which also came with added value in the airdrop of valuable cards assets. Limited edition promo cards such as Waka Spiritblade also required vouchers, and ofcourse the upcoming validator nodes will too. Future utility has been hinted in the form of a voucher store aswell as many more collaborations for more promo cards.

100% of vouchers used during the ongoing sale of the Validator nodes tranches over the coming years will be burned, which will continue to limit the supply and increase the demand, and with the stipulated voucher floor price mentioned with the sale of each tranche level, the current price taking it's future utility and usage makes these tokens highly undervalued.

Land:

There's no secret that this asset is going to be one of the most important additions ever to hit the Splinterverse. With only 150,000 plots ever created, and being the only way to mint meta shifting item and spell cards which will have a tremendous effect on the game, these plots are destined to be one of the most important, scarce, and valuable assets within the Splinterlands ecosystem. Moreover, because each PLOT will be assigned a rarity much like our card assets, this opens the door for the potential of even greater returns if you are indeed lucky enough to pull a castle or keep, which considering their minute quantity, will likely be worth 10's of thousands of dollars.

Phase 1 is due to hit in Q3 2022 where we can view our land rarity's and convert, buy, sell and transfer land deeds, whereas Q1 2023 is it's forecasted arrival where we can utilize these assets within the game to obtain those juicy rewards.

Cards:

Being the base asset to realize play2earn rewards in Splinterlands, now is one of the best times that there's ever been to purchase these deflationary assets, and this is partly attributed to their recent decline over the past months synonmous with the declines seen in the greater crypto market. Futhermore, with the nerf to ranked rewards for using the starter cards approaching, the introduction of wild & modern format, the ability to acquire bonus rewards through the SPS airdrop over the next 80 days, the upcoming sps ranked rewards system, the percentage bonus reward increases for each win with earlier card editions, the requirement of cards to unlock the full potential of the upcoming land release, the plentiful in game tournaments involving significant sps rewards, the PKM token airdrops available on bulk card purchases on peakmonsters where users can essentially capture a portion of the fee's from the sale of cards on the market, combined with prices that we haven't seen since before the card market boom last year.

Validator Nodes:

At the end of this month the pre-sale for validator nodes will go live, this presale will require a portion of both SPS and vouchers to purchase a node which will be sold over the following stages as shown. 3 million 750 thousand SPS per month aswell as an extra 20,000 vouchers per day will then be split equally amoungst these validators. The amount of rewards will depend on how many tranches are sold before we can benefit from them in Q4 later this year.

SPS:

The entire riftwatchers set will be sold exclusively in SPS. This will have a potential value of 15 million dollars that will go straight into the foundation treasury where SPS holders will decide it's fate. Multiple SPS burns will also transpire through the sale of validator nodes, but it's possible for those burns to extend into a portion of the SPS from the foundation treasury through governance system votes. Through the use of technical analysis accumulation is seemingly present, and there has been revolutionary upcoming utility hinted by the splinterlands team. Short term decreased distribution is taking place, whilst the land expansion promises to heavily feature the staking of SPS. Increased voucher utility is on the horizon, and ranked rewards have been said to increase for stakers too.

In my latest video we explore the technical analysis behind SPS' current price action and what that may mean for the token moving forwards.

We specifically explore accumulation patterns which can leave behind a footprint which can suggest what larger players and smart money are doing. If we can learn how to identify the pre-conditions of these phases, we can undertake our participation and campaigning before a large markup occurs.

Firstly we explore the different phases of an accumulation pattern. Then we take a closer look within these phases to understand how price is reacting.

Larger interests like to purchase very carefully in this trading range because they don't want to push price out of the TR until they have completed their entire purchase. So in order to do this they tend to put in buy orders in the lower portion of the TR and then stop buying when it gets into the upper half of the trading range. This is what causes the sideways market activity, where prices trade in a wide bounding TR and seemingly go nowhere.

To understand more about these concepts please check out the video!

In this video we take a look at a previous AMA to see what type of possible economy changes could effect SPS in the future. This information is absolutely critical for anyone holding or perhaps deciding whether to invest into SPS.

Firstly we go through an overview of Terra coin, and the dichotomy that may present itself if we were to see something similar with SPS and DEC.

Terra stable coins are backed by Terra's native Luna Coin. Terra uses a mint and burn mechanism where $1 dollar worth of LUNA can be burned to mint $1 dollar worth of UST and $1 UST can be burned to mint $1 dollar worth of LUNA.

This dynamic allows UST to maintain it's peg due to supply and demand.

If UST is worth more than $1 dollar then it incentivizes LUNA holders to burn LUNA for UST because they could turn around and sell that UST for another stable coin or token for more than $1 dollar. This ultimately would end in increasing the supply of UST which would then bring the UST back down to the $1 dollar peg.

Inversely, if UST is worth less than $1 dollar, then UST holders are incentivized to burn UST to mint LUNA seeing as they would receive a higher dollar amount of LUNA.

This decreases the supply of UST which would cause the price of UST to come back to it's peg value and so on and so forth.

This model could work even better with SPS & DEC because DEC is backed by actual products. Where UST is not.

But furthermore, could Splinterlands be it's on DEFI platform as well? This is a very interesting topic, in the video we cover this in further detail and how this idea could function - taking idea's from MAKER DAO.

In order for these possible changes to take effect, I would imagine DEC would have to fall back to it's designed value so that there would be no fallout from the community. So it is likely we would have to wait until the end of the airdrop before these changes could be made.

So could this mean a return to peg value for DEC?

What are your thoughts on these possible changes?

In my latest video we take a look at the most important take-away from one of the latest AMA's - Validator Nodes.

The concept of validator nodes is quite simple, it's really just an effort to completely decentralize the Splinterlands ecosystem. It's like crowd sourcing all the servers for the game so that they are no longer centralized, but rather, powered by tens of thousands of different users across the globe all working on the transactions for the game. This will help two fold as the Splinterlands team will not only be able to focus solely on the quality of their product, but they'll also be creating and implementing a solution to scale the platform.

As an incentive, validators will earn SPS rewards for hosting these nodes. You can view the whitepaper here for more about the distribution for these rewards: https://sps.splinterlands.com/distribution

Licenses will be released incrementally, but there will be a presale before the validator system is live that will allow players to get in by purchasing with their SPS and Vouchers. This is another cause for buying pressure for vouchers and SPS because they will both be required to purchase these nodes. Furthermore, the SPS used to purchase these validator nodes will be burned! Burn baby, burn!

As more validator licenses are released and purchased, the cost of these licenses will also go up incrementally, meaning more SPS will be burned.

Right now, we can only speculate on what the initial outlay will be for each of these licenses. Many factors will need to be considered. Matt made a suggestion of $1000 USD plus vouchers but this was just an off-the-top-of-the-head number. I imagine this will entirely depend on the number of validator nodes, the cost per node, and the value of SPS at the time.

It's incredibly exciting to hear about these new changes as they will surely increase the value of current Splinterlands asset holders.

What are your thoughts on these validator nodes, and where do you think the price of SPS will go in the future?

In my latest video we explore the key changes to the economy model which will shape the future of Splinterlands. These changes are key to the success of Splinterlands and it's play to earn experience. We address BOT farming and how the team plans to disincentivize the creation of thousands of accounts, as well as the interaction with Spellbook purchases and starter cards and the influence these will have in relation to the economy.

Furthermore, we look at how these changes will create equal opportunity for both lower league and newer players alike. We also look at how this will help solve the dilution that is currently happening within the economy.

It's incredibly exciting to hear about these new changes as I believe they will usher an expansion in player base which of course will also increase the value of current Splinterlands asset holders.

Really looking forward to April when these changes come in to play!

In this video we learn about a new tool on the scene by PRATTJC called Splinterboard (Alpha Edition).

This tool will help a player increase their win rate by understanding card compositions and squad lineups from all the greatest players in Splinterlands updated on an hourly basis.

If you have a specific card that you want to learn how to use, all you have to do is type in the name of the card, choose which league you're in, and this tool will allow you to scan through all the top players battles and how they used this card.

Is there a certain ruleset you're struggling with? No problem. You can simply use the Splinterboard filter results search to specify a battle ruleset that you're having difficulty with.

There are big plans for this tool including a player dashboard that will list all of a players metrics including win rates, what cards or splinters they're losing to the most, and counters to cards or battle rulesets to improve their competitiveness.

As well, players will be able to save specific sets of squad picks and view the cost of these cards whether they intend to either rent or purchase these cards.

This is going to help newer players thrive as well as provide them with a tool to understand areas of their gameplay which could be improved.

I'm really excited to see the future of this fantastic project from the legend PRATTJC.

In this video we talk about PeakMonster's new token PKM. I thought I'd do something a little different to the content that I've seen thus far and instead of just reading through the whitepaper, talk about what aspects of the tokenomics will shape it's future, and what that will mean for you as a holder.

Firstly we briefly cover what the PKM token is and the utility it will provide. Then we take a deep dive into some of the reasons why I believe this project will succeed and provide value moving forwards.

We touch on distribution, vesting and inflation, burning mechanisms, and the teams willingness to add utility.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic initiative that Jarvie and the team have put together and with a free airdrop creating further value were there was none, I believe this project is going to be a winner!

I wanted to feature summoners in my latest video as I believe they're currently the most valuable playable asset in the game. Within the video we go through some undervalued Summoners and what I believe gives these cards their value.

Summoners are a pivotal aspect of playing Splinterlands, for the newer players, instead of gaining abilities and stats when leveled up as standard monster cards do; summoners are able (at each new level) to summon monsters of higher levels. This makes them a vital mechanic in the facilitation of increased rewards for players.

We also cover previous pricing of some Alpha Summoners, as well as looking deeper into the supply of the Chaos Legion release and other such releases (Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Dice, and Orb).

Finally we look at what makes Summoners such valuable assets, and then we finish up on PeakMonsters to look at the best CP/DEC cost ratio summoner on the card market.

PLEASE NOTE: In the final example when comparing booster packs, I compared chaos legion using 75 million boosters instead of 15 million boosters. Apologies for the mistake on my behalf, it’s been a long week. The principle still stands though. Only a very small fraction of these cards make up the total supply.
