In honor of Veterans Day this Friday, we have a very special episode to share with our listeners! Tessa, Michael, and Laura spoke with JP Sniffen and Charlan (Charlie) Poirson about their unique experiences as both veterans and employees in the corporate sector.
JP Sniffen began his professional career as an Infantry Officer in the US Marine Corps, and is a 3rd generation Marine. After active duty, JP transitioned to military talent recruitment before moving into the corporate sector, and has been with Korn Ferry in veteran talent solutions since 2022.
Charlie Poirson is an Air Force officer and pilot and served as an Instructor Pilot and Flight Examiner at the United States Air Force Academy. During her 32 years in active duty, she conducted military transport, humanitarian relief, and airdrop missions around the world, flying the C-141B Starlifter. At Korn Ferry, Charlie provides leadership and expertise for the military senior officer division of Professional Search in North America.

In his role as the Administrative Director of the Positive Psychology Research Center at Tsinghua University, Dr. Zhao organizes events, develops positive psychology programs, and oversees the Positive Psychology Certificate Program, which has trained more than 2000 people.
Dr. Zhao is a member of International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) board of directors, International Positive Education Network (IPEN) global representative to China, and co-founded the Beijing Positive Psychology Association. He received his PhD from Tsinghua University, and the Master of Applied Positive Psychology degree from University of Pennsylvania. He also holds Master degrees of Computer Science and Chemistry from Rutgers University. Yukun has published five books in China, and co-edited/co-translated four books.

Alain Dehaze is the CEO of Adecco, one of the largest, diversified international talent staffing firms in the world. Previously, Alain held senior positions in a number of European countries at Henkel and ISS. In 2000, he became Managing Director of Creyf’s Interim in Belgium (now Start People). From 2002 to 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer of Solvus. Following the acquisition of Solvus by USG People, the Netherlands, in 2005, he became the Chief Operating Officer of USG People, with overall responsibility for operations, including the integration of Solvus. From September 2007 until 2009, he was CEO of the staffing services company Humares, the Netherlands.
Alain was on the board of the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN) and previously served as its Chairman. Furthermore, Alain Dehaze was Vice President of the Board of the World Employment Confederation Europe and member of the Board of the World Employment Confederation between December 2010 and December 2015. Since August 2017 he has been a member of the newly formed ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work.
