Jimmi Toro is an American contemporary, internationally acclaimed artist, author of his new book HEAL, founder of the non-profit Rescue11 whose mission is to protect children against predators, composer, and music producer.
Jimmi has spoken at numerous events and mental health panels, including the 2023 NBA All-Star event. He has also created art for various charity-related projects with Rescue11, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative.
In his new book “HEAL,” Jimmi uses his art and stories to explain the realities of childhood trauma, its physical and mental effects, the suppression of memories, and how they resurface, and he explains the complex realities and the ugly side of recovery while bringing hope to those suffering. It is a tough road, but you absolutely can heal!

Brenna is a lived experience expert in Disability Exploitation. Having grown up being exploited for her Autism, Brenna thought she broke free. But she ran from one kind of exploitation straight into another. Having been deprived of her children by her trafficker Brenna spent years hiding. She is not hiding anymore. Since 2017 Brenna raised her stepdaughter after she was exploited by her bio mom's ex-boyfriend. This caused Brenna to start striving to bring change for other survivors like her. Brenna has become a highly rated summit speaker having spoken at: The Kempe Conference to change child welfare 2021,2022. The 19th Annual human trafficking and social justice conference, and the 1st Annual World Womens Forum. She is scheduled to speak at the 20th annual summit this year. Brenna has also been invited to speak at this years WYN Summit.

Jill Schultz is a serial entrepreneur, industry disruptor, author, motivational speaker, and business strategist. After years of praying for her purpose, she realized that it is her life’s work to release people from shame and inspire deep healing for those who acted out sexually as children with other children due to sexual abuse. In her courageous work around her own healing, she has been able to let go of the debilitating shame and self-loathing that had kept her paralyzed for forty-one years. The realization that most helped her out of this shame was that she was not alone. That so many others had similar experiences became both a powerful source of light on her own path and a call to action to share her story.

Chuck LaFlange is an addict in recovery after 30 years in active addiction. I started the Dopey Canuck Podcast in an effort to raise awareness, but was unsure of the direction. Now, with a clear vision in my mind, the podcast has evolved into helping to humanize the people lost to addiction, in an effort to help the masses to understand that each and every one of the people lost to overdose and addiction were real people who were loved and that loved. Through those efforts, we also try to reach out to the oved ones of addicts offer then some respite from the natural feeling od guilt that come along with being close to someone suffering from the disease.

Alexandra Stevenson started her anti-trafficking work at 11 years old. 10 years later, she was trafficked herself. After Alexandra was able to restart her life, she dedicated herself to learning everything she could about trauma, its effects, and aftereffects by focusing her studies on criminology, victimology, psychology, and justice services. It would be another 10 years before she understood that her experience with her abusive boyfriend was, in fact, human trafficking. This realization lit a fire in Alexandra, and she co-founded the anti-human trafficking nonprofit organization, Uprising, based in Wyoming and her personal brand, The Laughing Survivor, based in British Columbia. Alexandra now combines her lived experience expertise with more than a decade of post-secondary education and shares publicly about her story to educate individuals, inform policy, and empower community heroes.

Becca Whitman is a survivor of childhood trauma and commercial sexual exploitation. As a teen, she had to fight to escape that exploitation and pave her own way towards healing. Now, Becca works as a Survivor Mentor with Flite Center. She walks alongside youth and young adults that have also been impacted by sexual exploitation, so they do not have to navigate life alone. Heidi Chance, who, has recently retired from Phoenix Police Department after 25 years of service. Prior to retiring, she was a Detective in the H.E.A.T (Human Exploitation and Trafficking) Unit for 13 years. Detective Chance worked with the HEAT unit in identifying and rescuing juveniles and adults who are victims of sex trafficking.

Tiffany Parker is a first responder and author with over a decade of experience in public service and emergency management. She’s earned a dual Master’s degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, focusing her attention on counterterrorism. Currently Tiffany is working towards her doctor of philosophy in criminal justice and homeland security so that she can bring her knowledge of human trafficking to the world. She’s served as both a structural and wildland fire fighter as well as an emergency manager for the largest hospital system Police Department in Texas. Amanda Pulley has seven years of experience working in anti-trafficking. As a survivor of human trafficking herself, she began her career as an advocate for those still in the life. She quickly realized her passion for impacting lives. Her strategic insight into typical advocacy methods ( some successful, some not) led her to build greatly improved Advocacy and Outreach programs for ten different organizations. My name is Katelynn Spencer, I am 32 years old and live in Massachusetts with my 4 cats and many plants. I am a recent survivor/warrior in the fight against online trafficking and sexual exploitation. In going through the convolution and stressful, at times scary, process of fighting for justice for myself, I realized I have to help others which helps me. From this whole experience, it has turned me towards advocating. I recently spoke at the Capitol Hill in June 2022, with 3 other survivors from around the country, on raising awareness of Online Sexual Exploitation. My main goal (along with many others) is for my own legal case to help make revenge porn illegal in Massachusetts, but more importantly federally. I will use my voice and trauma, my own humiliation, and personal experiences to help make that change. If I can do that so no one else has to, I will; that’s how change happens. Danielle Webb is the Executive Director and Community Engagement Coordinator for Displaced Roses, an advocacy organization that assists those experiencing homelessness in the greater Gaston County area in North Carolina.
Prior to this work, Danielle had an extensive career in healthcare ranging from pharmacy to behavioral health services. She is a member of several civic, faith and health groups including NAMI, Autism Speaks, a Housing Authority board member, past county lead and still member of the Continuum of Care NC-GLC 509.
Danielle is a proud mom to her teenage son Jayden, who is pursuing Computer Engineering, Japanese and Linguistics.
Nine years ago, my son and I experienced homelessness by trying to live out the American Dream of purchasing a home. It took over a year to get out of that experience due to the lack of county resources, helping agencies, and NOAHs. For almost 3 years I've worked to assist those experiencing homelessness in the very same county. One year ago, I fully stepped out on faith, left my employment in healthcare and volunteer-lead Displaced Roses full time.

Hannah holds a BA in Sociology and will graduate in May with an MA in Social Justice and Human Rights. She is a board member for two anti-trafficking organizations, has held leadership positions within numerous nonprofits, and serves as a survivor consultant for Polaris Project and DHS's Blue Campaign.
She is a member of the National Survivor Alliance, the Global Association of Human Trafficking Scholars, and HEAL Trafficking, a community of multidisciplinary professionals working in the intersection of human trafficking and health care. She interned for The Nexus Working Group on Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation and The Dressember Foundation.
She has partnered with other organizations to brief local, state, and federal agencies about trafficking from a survivor’s perspective, including the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Marshalls, and the FBI. Recipient of The Elie Wiesel Foundation’s National Prize in Ethics and Van Cleave Law’s “Striving for Justice” award. My most recent research project, titled “Survivors at the Core: The Effectiveness of Anti-Trafficking Organizations Who Place Survivors in Leadership Positions,” was invited for presentation at the Himalayan Policy Research Conference.

In 2012, Alina fell victim to this dark world we know as Human Trafficking.
For months, she lived in the shadows of her trafficker. With each day that passed, she prayed that her nightmare would come to an end. After eight horrific months, Alina was finally able to escape the grasp of her trafficker during an encounter with local law enforcement. In 2018, Alina became the first individual in the state of Florida to have her criminal charges expunged due to being a victim of human trafficking. After making history, Alina felt she was destined to make a difference and help victims escape their traffickers. In 2020, Alina co-created The Shelly Stayer Shelter’s 18-month Human Trafficking Residential Program. A model program for organizations nationwide that leads the fight in providing aftercare services to survivors. Within this program, advocates are able to help female, adult survivors of sexual human trafficking by offering them intensive therapeutic services needed in order to heal and regain their self-independence.
