I think there's a common misconception about Christianity and what having a relationship with God is like today. We think it's about living a certain lifestyle or abiding by a set of a rules. It's something that a lot of us don't feel adds any value to our lives, or it feels restrictive and like we're signing up for a life that we no longer have any say or control over. My goal is to give you a different perspective on Christianity. As I get super vulnerable and delve into my own experience with Christianity, it is my hope that you feel seen, heard, and loved right where you're at every week.
Long time, no see. Let’s not let this ever happen again. No matter where you’re at in your spiritual/religious walk and journey, I wanted to have an open discussion about seeking truth, which is something that feels so lost on our society today, but it’s far too important to let go.
I hope that this episode is able to provide you with a different perspective and inspires you to have more open and honest conversations with those around you. I hope that you felt seen, heard, and loved.

I feel as if there is a very common misconception around what it means to be a Christian. I’ve heard a lot of my friends, family, acquaintances, and even strangers say that they feel as if Christianity is a set of rules they have to abide by or a certain lifestyle that they have to live. Some even go as far as to say that they feel as if Christianity isn’t important and that it wouldn’t add any value to their lives. I am hoping to be a different voice in this space and give you a different perspective on what it means to be a Christian and the value found in who Jesus is.
In this episode, I talk about what I have personally come to understand it means to be a Christian in reading my Bible, the church hurt that I have experienced, the fact that I unintentionally created an idol of who I thought God was, and more.
I hope that this episode left you feeling seen, heard, and loved. I pray that God was able to speak to you and reach you through me.

Hey you! Welcome to A Good Work!! I cannot put into words how equally scared and excited I am to be doing this. Eek! I'm diving head first into this and am hoping that you'll leave today's episode feeling seen, heard, and loved.
Today, I wanted to let you into my life a little bit, my past, and even where I hope the future goes. I wanted to talk about my own person story to God and what that has looked like. I didn't grow up in a Christian household per se. I didn't say the sinner's pray. I didn't have a pretty, beautiful, cookie cutter story to God. My story stems from a a lot of pain, feeling like I wasn't enough, and losing something that I never thought I could be without amongst so many other things. My story involves coming to the end of myself and knowing that I needed someone to save me.
To be honest, I talk about some things in this podcast that not even my closest friends or family know about. You're getting it first. I am dedicated to being 100 percent honest, trusting God with my yes and praying that He reaches you through my vulnerability and insane discomfort, ha.

Hi you! I wanted to take an episode to talk about why I’ve been so MIA this past little bit, MIA from social media, MIA from this podcast, MIA from my every day life really. It’s crazy how dark things can seem and how difficult it can be to look past a lie. I’m working on being more vulnerable. I decided to talk about something that I didn’t think I’d ever talk about, because it’s so embarrassing for me to share, in hopes that someone else doesn’t feel so alone in what they’re going through.
Life is tough, but praise God that we get to serve someone so powerful and full of so much grace and love. I pray that if you’re feeling stuck and looking back at your failures, what you hoped would be, the pain that was inflicted upon you, the friendship you lost, the dream job you were denied, etc. that you’re able to stop looking back in order to step into the bright future ahead that God has for you.
It doesn’t end here, my friend, regardless of what lie the enemy may be whispering in your ear. If you’ve got breath in your lungs (which you do if you’re reading this), God has a purpose for your life. I hope that this episode can encourage you and remind you that you’re not alone. I’m right here with you.

Hey you! I've recently come to a realization of something that I have known my entire life, but haven't really realized until now. That realization is that Jesus was a human being too. This reality has been such a comfort to me over the last few weeks in dealing with my own set of trials, but also in being able to help those around me deal with their trials as well. Today, I wanted to remind you of the very real truth that because Jesus left the right hand of the Father, came down to earth, and took a human body, Jesus understands what you're going through because He's gone through it too. You get to have a relationship with a living God that not only cares, but that also understands and is over every single thing.
I hope that you enjoy this episode. If you've already come to this realization, I pray that this is a nice reminder and comfort. But if you haven't realized this yet, I hope that Jesus was able to speak to you through me.

Hey you! Happy New Year!! Can we talk about the fact that I am NOT ready to be saying that yet?! The last few years have flown by, and I truly don't know where the time went. Given the fact that we are only 10 days into the new year, I figured that it would be fitting to talk about new year's resolutions and what the Lord has laid on my heart when it comes to kicking off this brand new year, 2023.
It is so important to not only begin a new year with a goal in mind. It's also important to have a plan in place to execute that goal or goals too. I touched briefly on that in this episode. But if you'd like a rundown of what my plans are to ensure that I see my goals through until the end of the year, please let me know as I'd be more than happy to talk about that.
I also shared some verses that the Lord has put on my heart to carry with me as we go into this new year. The last few years have been completely unpredictable and unexpected to say the least. I have a few verses so heavily on my heart and have decided to share those with you in hopes that you cling to them going throughout this year and working towards the goals that the Lord has placed on your heart.
If you haven't picked a word to take into this year with you, do it! I chose one, and it's one that I feel really good about. 10 days into this year, and so far, my word has been an anchor for me even in the moments in which I was absolutely not in the mood to work toward my goals.
I wanted to end with this: You are amazing. You are capable of anything you set your mind to. There isn't a single thing in this world that is outside of your reach. Look at Einstein, Elon Musk, Henry Ford, or any other extraordinary human being that has accomplished such monumental things. They were all ordinary people, just like you and me, who decided to go after the things that ignited their souls. I hope that you choose to do the same this year. Chase your goals, no matter how big or small, and watch the Lord work using your efforts.

Hey you! Boy, do I have some tea for you. Today, I wanted to tell you a little bit about a situation going on in my life. It's an unfortunate one, but one that I know God's hand is in. And I know that He has a plan for it. Given the fact that I truly was SO upset, and you'll hear about that further, I wanted to use what the enemy meant for evil and use it for good. I wanted to take a situation that my flesh was so angry about and wanting to make "right" and in turn use it for the glory of God and sharing a very valuable lesson about vengeance and revenge and what God says about it.
I hope that this is able to speak to you and be something you can run back to, especially if you find yourself in a situation in which you are wanting to get revenge and do something you think may make the situation right.

Hey you. I am so sorry that I have been MIA for the last little while.
I have been going through it to say the least, and I wanted to be honest with you about that. I wanted to remind you that it's okay to be a tough spot. It's okay to be in a hard season. It's okay to feel sad and like the world is against you. I'm not saying it's fun, but it is okay just like you're going to be okay. I wanted to remind you that even though God may be a huge part of your life, it is normal to struggle. It is normal to have a hard time. God never said this world and the things we would have to go through in it would be easy, but He promises to be there with us through it all.
I hope that this episode is encouraging, and I really do appreciate your patience with me.

I wanted to share my heart as well as some Bible verses to remind not only myself, but also you that there is a reason the waiting and in our prayers. God hears our prayers. He sees our cry. He knows our intentions and our hearts, and that matters to Him.
