Welcome to another episode of the Wondrous Crane podcast! I wanted to talk about the moon today and what rituals I do for manifesting around the different moon cycles. And it’s definitely connected with astrology so if you haven’t listened to the episode where I talk about astrology you should go check it out, it's episode number 10.
There are SO many moon rituals out there, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. I am just going to walk you guys through what I like to do every month and explain the reasoning behind it.
I mainly focus on the new moon and the full moon when I am manifesting so I am just going to go over those rituals that I do for both of those times every month.
The New Moon is all about setting intentions and focusing on what you would like to manifest for the coming month. I usually will write out 10 things that I would like to manifest and I always lead with gratitude when I am writing these out, so I'll write: "I am so grateful for all work outs I plan to do this month and how it makes my body feel strong and healthy. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
And then every new moon correlates with the current astrology sign, so we have the New Moon in Aries coming up on March 21, 2023 and since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac they are all about being number 1, and are very wonderful leaders, very confident in their own abilities, and are kind of self obsessed which I love and want to emulate more of their energy. And then I usually like to burn incense when I do this and cleanse my space so that I can let in and make room for all these new manifestations.
The Full Moon is all about relaxing and reflecting on the past month and taking care of yourself so you can be on that high gratitude vibration. The full moon has really powerful energy so I will gather all of my crystals and let them bask in the full moon light overnight, this cleanses their energy and supercharges them. It's a great time to do anything that will help you relax and release any built up emotions or feelings you've accumulated over the past month.
The full moon correlates with the direct opposite astrology sign as the new moon, so for this cycle with the new moon in Aries, the full moon will be in Libra because that’s exactly 6 signs apart from Aries. So because this full moon is in Libra, I will journal about all the balance currently in my life and what I would like to balance more of in the future. Libra’s are all about the scales and finding balance with everything. And then the full moon also has a name associated with nature so this Full moon coming up on April 5th, is the Pink Full Moon or the Paschal Full Moon which is the First Full Moon of Spring.

Hello and welcome to another episode of the Wondrous Crane podcast! It was my birthday last Saturday on February 25, so I was looking at my birth chart and thought this would be a great episode to talk about Astrology and the different Zodiac signs.
There’s this great quote that J.P. Morgan said that goes, “millionaires don't need astrologers, but billionaires do” and it’s also just another way for you to understand yourself, other people, and the world around you.
If you don’t know your birth chart or what signs correlate with your being, then check out co-star astrology, they will give you your exact chart for free if you know where you were born and the exact date and time of your birth. And then you have multiple different placements and houses in your birth chart. So these include the different planet placements and the main 3 that people focus on are your Sun sign which is the sign that most people know about which determines your ego, identity, and "role" in life, your Ascendent or Rising sign which is how others perceive you so it’s kind of like how you interact with others, and your Moon sign which rules your emotions, moods, and feelings so how you feel internally.
And then there are also different House placements but these are based on the Earth’s 24-hour rotation around its own axis. Each house is thought to represent certain traits and themes in your life.
Understanding astrology and your own personal chart is just another way for you to understand yourself and the world around you, which I personally think is very helpful when running or starting your own business. It can also just help you thrive in your own life and relationships so hopefully this episode opens that door for you guys into learning more about astrology and how you can benefit from it.

Youa and Wone create intricate cross stitch pieces that bring many people joy, laughter, and beauty into their homes. Third Daughter, Restless Daughter began not as a definitive response to create, but as a response to mimic their grandmother’s Hmong embroidery. The most important constant in their business is the hard work and integrity that they put into every project and they bring people together through laughter as their pieces often hold bits of humor.
As Asian American Women, we dive into the intricacies of growing up Asian in the suburbs of Minnesota and how racism and microagressions have not only impacted our personal lives but other BIPOC people too through the unequal opportunities presented to them either in work or having their art displayed at shows.
When curating their own shows, Youa and Wone, want to flip that narrative of having a token BIPOC person represented and instead build a diverse community that uplifts ALL people and not just the few traditionally chosen.
This episode was such a joy to record because Youa and Wone's laughter is always contagious and hearing their stories as Hmong Women trying to make an impact through their art and community building is truly inspiring.

I am back from Japan and I just finished reading the book, The Magic by Rhonda Byrne which has honestly been life changing. It's a 28 day gratitude journey and by the end of all the manifesting practices, something magical happens. For me it culminated in how perfect and wonderful our Japan trip ended up being and then when we got home we were blessed with an inheritance.
I would say gratitude is at the heart of manifesting. Every practice, every ritual is grounded in gratitude and if you want to manifest something in your life you have to get on the energy frequency of gratitude.

One thing about crystals and their energy is that you have to be mindful when using their healing vibrations to help attract whatever it is you are wanting from life.
Crystals are naturally created over millions of years and during their formation they each posses different energetic vibration so depending on what you want to attract more of or focus on in your life, you will use different crystals.

After reading this book, I started manifesting finding my soulmate with crystals and then that’s when I met my husband. I primarily used Rose Quartz and Strawberry Quartz because they are both super healing and soothing crystals that are all about self love and feeling confident in yourself.
Every time I see and touch and feel the Rose Quartz and Strawberry Quartz energy I do a little chant to myself that goes something like, I love you, I love everything about you, I trust you, you are worthy of love, you are beautiful and perfect just the way you are. The energy you feel from this crystal can help heal your heart chakra and emotional wounds, recover from shock, grief, loss, or trauma. And it increases your self-love and self-worth.
