Shock and awe (technically known as rapid dominance) is a tactic based on the use of overwhelming power and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the enemy’s perception of the battlefield and destroy their will to fight. (Wikipedia)
God loves to shock and awe the enemy. The greatest example of this is the Resurrection. “He cancelled out every legal violation!” (Col. 2:13-14). He made a public spectacle of the enemy!

Episode 29: Out with the Trash!
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Transitioning into a new season is an interesting process. If we are not careful, we will carry obsolete junk from the past into our new place of occupation.
God is up to something. It’s a new thing. It requires fresh perspectives, free of the filters of past expectations. He wants our focused attention. Oftentimes, the old treasures become distractions as we enter into the new.
There is a process called separation unto increase. The premise is once we separate from the old, we are free to increase into the new. A seed has to fall into the ground and die before life can come forth. Jesus lived and died. His increase through His resurrection is realized by us today.
We are in a global course correction. God is using the shifts in our society and homes to move us into maturity. This maturation process requires a separation from the old. We see this in our children – from womb to birth, and age to age of growth. He is doing the same with us today.
What is occupying your time? Are you holding onto things from the past? Are your expectations in line with what God is doing now? Do you shuffle old trinkets, papers, cassettes, etc. from one place to another? Do you enjoy that they are in your possession? Do you look at that pile of old stuff and think “I really should deal with that!” yet procrastinate. All these things are time stealers!
Its time to review what we hold onto. Look around. Look within. Are there any things that need to go in the garbage bin?

Episode 27: Reset Part 2
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Can you see beyond where you’ve been and enter into the new “reset” season? Reset defined: “set again or differently” (Oxford). If we are not careful, we may try to hang on to last season’s victories and defeats. If we do, we may not step into the new/“neos”/never existed before things the Lord has for us.
God has reset moments set into His calendar. They are the feasts (Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Tabernacles, etc.) and the head of each Hebrew month. He is a God of opportunities for do-overs! The enemy does not want you to know that. He will try to throw off God’s eternal time gates, known as times and seasons, by interjecting his own agenda. The result is we get stuck out of sync with what Father is doing.
Reset based on what is, not what was, will be fruitful. Don’t hang on to the past, whether its victories or hurts. If we do, we will find ourselves stuck in a time that doesn’t exist anymore. It’s a mere shadow. There is no way to step back into that time and do it over. The past does not exist! You are free to dismiss mental replays of scenarios of conversations that will never happen! Stop using your mental energy on those things and move into what God is doing now in your life.

Sometimes we are called to transition into a new season. Another way to look at this is it is a time of divine reset. In the Oxford Dictionary, reset is defined as “set again or differently”. If we are not careful, we may try to hang on to last season’s victories and defeats and not step into the new/“neos”/never existed before things the Lord has for us.
What do we know about the new? Nothing! It’s new! There is a requirement to leave the past behind and allow God to do a new thing in you.

Episode 25: Discipling Nations
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Mark 16:14-18 paints a bigger picture of the battles that we encounter every day. This passage states that:
- We are called to signs, wonders, and miracles, not a lifeless walk with God.
- Go…preach…
- Believe in My Name…
- cast out demons, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink anything deadly, heal the sick.
It is believers’ responsibility to help disciple nations. (Matthew 28:16-20). We can do this as citizens of the Kingdom. In our “dual citizenship” we have the right to disciple citizens of the Kingdom and citizens of our nations. (Col. 1:13; John 18:36, Acts 16:37-8; 22:25; 23:27; 25:10; 26:32). Paul served as an apostle of the Kingdom and he was a Roman citizen, too.
We have a call to bring Christ’s Kingdom to His inherited nations (Ps. 2:6-8)
Ps. 22:27-28 “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the LORD’S, And He rules over the nations.”
The nations in eternity; training now for future work (Rev. 22:1-3 “Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;”)

Episode 23: Stranger Things
ABOUT THE EPISODE
In Mark 16:15-18, we are told to by Jesus, “…if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them…” This has to do stranger things we encounter, such as:
- Corruption is defined as dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery, dishonesty, unscrupulousness, deceit, double-dealing, fraud, etc. The enemies of God have no moral compass and walk in corruption. This most often has to do with business.
- Idolatry is the worship of strange gods. This includes offering sacrifices to demons and forgetting God their creator.
- Mammon is wealth regarded as an evil influence. A false object of worship and devotion. 1 Tim. 6:9-10.
God has a better plan than walking the enemy! He wants us to:
- Walk in our God given power to create wealth.
- Understand that wealth, free from the spirit of mammon is a blessing.
- Use our talents wisely to create profit with trade and return on our investments.
Drinking deadly things has nothing to do with a poisonous drink. There are deadly things that we encounter in our culture every day. We need to be aware of those things and become part of the solution. Are you willing to partner with God to clean it all out?

In Mark 16:15-18, we are told to by Jesus to “God into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation…These signs will follow…they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them...” What does this mean in the context of discipling nations? How do we do this?
Here are a few problems with how the passage may be interpreted:
- This “sign” is perceived as a literal order to pick up serpents. (Some denominations actually bring snakes to church!)
- We think of Paul in Acts 28:3-5 and figure if we get bit by a serpent, we just shake it off. (It had to do with the culture’s belief system)
- We are clueless as to what this means so we avoid this “sign” altogether.
Moses was given powers by the Lord to deal with the serpents of Egypt. His rod of authority/his staff became a serpent when he threw it on the ground. He grabbed the tail and it turned back to a rod. This power was used to demonstrate God’s supernatural equipping of Moses. This power revealed that God’s power was greater that Pharaoh’s governing structure.
We must understand that God created government for protection. Justice carried out by laws, penalties and impartial judges is necessary to take up serpents in that nation. Why? Because those people who are doing those things are controlled by those serpents.
Moral decay happens when those who are governing do so without higher moral law. In the case of centralized power wielded by a few, corruption has easy access to manifest. Another case is if the majority of the people in a democratic society are without higher moral standards, tyranny or mob rule can manifest as well.

Episode 21: They Will Speak in New Tongues
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Speaking in new tongues is part of The Great Commission. Christians are used by God as effective communicators of a message quite different from the world’s expression of culture.
Speaking in new tongues is a language of liberty. The new language was given to the Body of Christ to liberate nations. When God’s truths are declared by the Body of Christ into the culture, people are united to do good and the forces of evil at work in the marketplace of ideas are defeated.
Liberty/Freedom: A quality or state of being free (Merriam-Webster). We must teach the next generation the language of liberty. This is parent’s responsibility. Nowhere in the Bible is educational responsibility given to the civil government.
Citizen education is important, too. We must teach American values to our citizens. This includes immigrants. If not taught, a corruption of customs will happen. The corruption of customs is directly linked with the false narrative of freedom. Without citizen education, people will move into “they did what was right in their own eyes.” (Judges)

Episode 19: Casting Out a Nation’s Demons
ABOUT THE EPISODE
In Episode 18: The Lamb’s Inheritance, we talked about Jesus’ Great Commission in Mark 16:15-17 and Matthew 28:18-20 in light of discipling nations. Many see this as a one-by-one process; however, Jesus is talking nations here. Most of the church does not see our role to disciple nations. We often limit our measure of success to what happens in our church buildings.
- Too often today, the measurement of church success is numerical growth, construction of new buildings.
- Accomplishment is measured by the amount of activities and events that fill the calendars even though these rarely relate to transforming culture.
- However, Jesus and all the Apostles would have been criticized as failures by these criteria!
Societal transformation does not always happen because of revival. For example, revivals from the past few decades did not produce regional transformation (for example: Lakeland, Brownsville, Toronto). Many individuals had life changing transformations; however, we do not see lasting change in the regions where revival took place. We must understand that Kingdom growth beyond the four walls of the church was a mandate given to us in the Great Commission.
In Mark 16, after instructing the church to preach to all creatures and “make disciples of all nations,” the first criteria that Jesus describes for evaluating the effectiveness in this mission is that signs like “casting out of demons” would be evident. This is overcoming cultural sin and oppression. Here’s what we can do to begin the “casting out demons” process in our cities:

Prayer and Prophetic Proclamation
-
A church can measure its success by effectively dealing with the spiritual forces of darkness that are oppressing not just individuals, but people groups and culture.
- Tearing down strongholds (2 Cor 10:3-6)
-
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood… (Eph 6)
-
Grace for Unity Amongst the Believers
-
Territorial demons are not cast out in the same manner as individual demons. They are more powerful and entrenched in culture.
- It takes unified, informed intercession with other churches in a region to see territorial darkness pushed back and breakthroughs come.
-
Unless we recognize the need for unity in the regional church, we will not see the “signs” follow us of casting out the nation’s demons.
-
The Importance of Information and Research about the Darkness
-
A church can worship and pray without ever positively influencing culture. To see results, our focus must be on an outward examination of culture.
- Daniel 9 & 10. In Dan 10:13, Daniel discovers that an obstacle to the answer was “the prince of the kingdom of Persia” that first had to be overcome.

Matt. 12:28-29 – Binding the strongman

Learning to Pray for and Proclaim Good Things

Something more powerful must fill the void or the principalities will come back even stronger.
- Occupy, Matt 12:43-45
- After we cast out demons, we need to learn to pray for good to come and we also must seek to actively fill that vacated area with godly things.

Episode 18: The Lamb’s Inheritance
ABOUT THE EPISODE
In Episode 17: The Lamb’s War, we talked about Psalm 2:8. It states that the nations are the Son’s inheritance and the earth His possession. Considering this passage, it is important to understand what Jesus inherited:
- Nation in Hebrew is “goy” meaning a nation or people, body (Str. G1471 and G1465).
- The earth is “erets” which is land, whole earth, country, territory. (Str. G776)
These passages are directly related to The Great Commission:
Matthew 28:18-20 – And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Mark 16:15 – Jesus instructs the disciples, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
There are two key words in these passages that are often overlooked:
-
“…all nations…” ethnos in Greek.
- A multitude associate with living together, a company, troop or swarm.
- The human race, nation, people group
-
“…all the world…” – kosmos in Greek. Here are a few of its definitions:
-
A harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government.
- The arrangement of the stars as the ornament of the heavens.
- The world, universe; the earth
- The inhabitants of the earth, men, the human race.
Who do you say that I am? Is about the revelation of the Psalm 2:8 prophecy coming to pass.
Let’s look at Mark 16:15-18 from the perspective of discipling ethos:
- Cast out a nation’s demons
- Speak the nation’s new tongues
- Take up the nation’s serpents
- Drink the nation’s deadly things
- Lay hands on the nation’s sickness

Episode 17: The Lamb’s War
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Psalm 2 gives us a tremendous picture of the battle between the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness. About 60% of this psalm is quoted in the New Testament. There is a reason for this. Verse by verse the story of the the Lamb’s war is painted for us. When understood, we will rest in the revelation that the Father has plans to deal with the contention of nations.
There are four different perspectives presented in the 12 verses of Psalm 2.
-
The Voice of the Nations (v. 1-3)
- Contention between the Gentile, non-God fearing nations and those who follow Elohim has been going on since then.
- God divided the nations at Babel.
-
The Voice of the Father (v. 4-6)
-
God’s seat of authority is sure.
- Psalm 21:7-13 reveals the plan of the Father
- The Father has an eternal solution in His Son.
-
The Voice of the Son (v. 7-9)
-
The Father in heaven begot the Son Ps 2:7
Begot means to father, Acts 13:30-33, Heb. 1:5,5:5
- The nations are the Son's inheritance
and the eretz as a possession Ps 2:8
-
- The Lamb's war Ps 2:9, Rev 2:26,27, Rev 6:15-16
-
The Voice of the Spirit (v. 10-12)
-
Be wise and be instructed Ps 2:10
-
Instructed = discipline, instruction
- Worship the Lord/Rejoice with trembling (Ps. 2:11)
- Kiss (nashaq) the Son Ps 2:12
-
Kindle to burn, prepare, be equipped w/
- Take refuge in Him! Ps 2:12
- This is where the blessing is!

Recognizing that God has got this, we trust and stand with Him in this now manifestation of the destroying of His enemies. From our study in Psalm 2, as intercessors we are given a clear picture of the enemy's manifesto and God's solution.

Episode 16: The Enemies of God
ABOUT THE EPISODE
God has enemies. His enemies are our enemies. Many times, we feel like attacks from the enemy are against us alone. Discerned properly, we will filter his accusations through the reality of our “WE-dentity”. (From Episode 15: The Force Be with You).
David had this understanding when he went out to battle against Goliath. David came in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel. He went on to say, “the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.” (1 Sam. 17:45-47)
A few passages that address “The battle belongs to the Lord” are:
- Num 32:21 - …and all of you armed men cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven His enemies out from before Him
- Psalm 68:1, 12 - Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee before Him; Surely God will shatter the head of His enemies, The hairy crown of him who goes on in his guilty deeds.
- Isaiah 42:13 - The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.
- Heb 10:13 - …waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.
Vengeance belongs to the Lord:
- Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord - Heb 10:30, Rom 12:19, Deut 32:35
- Nahum 1:2 - A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He serves wrath for His enemies.
- Isaiah 59:18 - According to their deeds, so He will repay, Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies, To the coastlands He will make recompense.
Jesus triumphed over God’s enemies
- Col 2:15 - When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
- Death - 1 Cor 15:25-26 - For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
When you feel the enemy coming up against you:
- Take that accusation to Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. Ask what do you have to say about this? (He will silence the accusing voices by the Blood of the Lamb. He will show you who the enemies are.)
- Ask the Lord: What do You want to do about it? Do you want me to do something?
- Is it time to move on what you are showing me?
- Remember this is about God’s Kingdom, not just about you.

ABOUT THE EPISODE
From the beginning, we see that the Godhead works as a “WE”. Gen. 1:26 says, “Let US make man in our image…”
Jesus wants us to understand this as well. This was His prayer to the Father in John 17:22, “…that they may be one, just as We are one.”
Father + Son + Holy Spirit in [your name] = WE
When the accuser of the brethren comes, he attempts to aggravate the isolated believer. In truth, he is accusing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in you, too!
When the accuser comes in:
- Ask the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit what He thinks about the accusation.
- Ask if there is anything He wants you to do or say regarding it.
- Ask for timing to proceed with what He tells you.
It is time to walk in WE-dentity!

Episode 14: Discern Through an Eternal Perspective
ABOUT THE EPISODE
God is an eternal God. He is a now God. He longs to show us from His eternal perspective.
God unveils hidden things. He loves to do this through His prophets. He did this with Ezekiel when he showed him the idolatry that was taking place in the temple (Ezekiel 8:6-13). The ancient issues that were going on in Israel then are still going on in our communities today.
God wants to show us the plans of the enemy. He also wants us to see His solution. When He shows you something, keep asking questions! Who, what, where, when, and why?
- He’ll teach you what to see.
- He loves to ask you questions.
- He loves to hear what He’s told you.
- He loves to hear it proclaimed on the earth.
“Seeing” can be seeing, hearing, or an unction.
The seeing gift can be contagious. This happened to Elisha’s servant during an impending battle. Once his eyes were opened through Elisha’s prayer, he saw all that God was up to. He saw through eternal eyes instead of natural eyes. Pair up with someone with the seer gift and you’ll be amazed at what happens!

Episode 13: Do You See What He Sees?
ABOUT THE EPISODE
“Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.” Ever notice this statement on your passenger side mirror? It is all about perception. If we are not careful, we will not perceive things through the right filter. Past experiences or how we think things should happen can alter our perception of situations.
What you are seeing is not a shock to Him. He is revealing an issue so you can dive into the preparation to succeed in the battle at hand. Chances are He is speaking to others in the body of Christ to take up arms in the battle as well.

When we see a problem, we need to pay attention to how we react. Timing and strategy are important. God loves order.
When you see calamity and injustice:
- Take the issues before the Lord.
- Ask Him to let you see as He sees.
- Write the vision.
- Ask Him what He wants you to do about it.
- Ask Him to connect you with others who have this assignment.
- Wait for His timing and plan.

Episode 12: Change the Atmosphere Wherever You Go
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Jesus was the master atmosphere changer! In Mark 4:35-41, He did this very thing. The violent storm that arose while He and the disciples were in the boat ceased by His release of perfect peace. He occupied the atmosphere. How? By replacing the atmospheric disturbance with the substance of God’s peace.
We have the opportunity to release the Kingdom of God wherever we go. When we sense an opposing atmosphere, we should move to action. We are to overcome evil with good. Evil wants us to concentrate on it. Don't do it! Instead, release God’s “good” into the situation. This is how you displace the evil environment and become an occupying force of good instead!
Changing the atmosphere is not about you alone. It affects those around you. When you practice this, you will open the door for Holy Spirit to move. Remember! The burden of changing the atmosphere is not on you. It is on Holy Spirit!
Atmospheric pressure getting you down? There are ways to combat this:
· Praise
· Uplifting words – change your dialogue.
· Enthusiasm – it’s contagious!
· Natural atmosphere – clean out the clutter!

Episode 11: Spiritual Mapping: Do You Know the Lay of Your Land?
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Spiritual mapping is a tool used to assess the lay of the land you live in. The purpose is to see what is good and bad in your city. Then we can take what we’ve found to Holy Spirit. He will cause us to gain a strategy for spiritual warfare about the root we’ve discovered.
Habakkuk 2:12-18 gives a picture of some of the "bad" things that may have happened in the land you live in. Are there broken covenants, corruption, or idol worship to name a few? As you discover these situations, we take them to the Lord using analytical thinking. We seek His solution not our preconceived answer.
Measurable results become seen when there is data to measure. By mapping your city, you have a baseline of current activity. Use these facts in future assessments. Especially after prayer gatherings, corporate worship gatherings, prayer strikes, etc.

Episode 9: How a Fast from Isolation Will Benefit You
ABOUT THE EPISODE
Isolation is a biproduct of COVID-19 mandates. Are you weary from stay-at-home orders, quarantines, and social distancing? The atmosphere became one of fear, loneliness, and suspicion. As a result, many people became comfortable staying at home. Zoom meetings, social media, and texting came to the forefront. While valid ways to communicate, many have withdrawn from society. It is time to come out and connect with civilization!
Several other things drive people into isolation, too:

The Elijah complex – great victory and then the enemy comes.

During crisis you question God about what is not happening.

Shame from sin.
During times of crisis, we need community the most. We are the Body of Christ. Isolation keeps us disconnected from those the Lord wants us to connect with. A deliberate 21-day focus to fast from isolation will break this bondage off you.

When Jesus began calling the disciples, He invited them into a relationship that was bigger than anything they ever imagined. He saw potential in each man. Potential, given the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience, created an occupying force that turned the world upside down.

We must search our heart and get clear of any resentment, judgment or curses we have spoken over our city, nation, business, family, or church. If we do not do that, chances are that our motives for praying will be tainted.
We were born and placed in our city for such a time as this. We are called to release God’s love where He has planted us.

As part of God’s army, we can’t avoid the battles around us. In fact, Jesus stated, “The kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force.” (Matt. 11:12) These are fighting words! Episode 5: The Violent Take It by Force
ABOUT THE EPISODE
What powerful words Jesus spoke over 2,000 years ago as He painted a picture of the state of His kingdom! In His proclamation that “…the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force,” we are faced with the realization that if we are going to be successful members of the body of Christ, we must be willing to go to battle. This is a hard verse for peacetime loving Christians to swallow; however, our eyes must be open to the reality of what is going on around us!
“The kingdom of God suffers violence…” (Matt. 11:12)
“Suffers violence” is by no means a pleasant term. In order to understand the violation that is taking place to the kingdom of God, let’s look at the meaning of these words:i
Suffers
- To endure death, pain or distress
- To sustain loss or damage
- To be subject to disability or handicap
Violence
- Exertion of physical force to injure or abuse
- Injury by distortion
- Infringement
- Intense, turbulent or furious and often destructive action or force
- A clashing or jarring quality
- Undue alteration
Do you see that His kingdom is suffering violence? “Suffers violence” literally means that the kingdom of God is enduring death, sustaining loss, and is subject to disability at the hand of physical force, distortion, and undue alteration by the enemy. Worry, anxiety, stress, trauma, and fear cause violent suffering in His kingdom; as does sickness, disease, poverty, and death. These are all enemies of the cross and are signs that His kingdom suffers violence. This kind of damage is serious! This is a battle between heaven and hell, light and darkness.
The kingdom of God has been seriously distressed since the days of John the Baptist. The enemy has crossed the legal lines and infringed upon our God’s kingdom laws. He knows distortion of the truth keeps people in bondage.
Have you ever been hurt by a lie? Perhaps someone neglected to tell you the truth about a situation or spread lies about you. Maybe you believed in a wrong perception of a situation only to find out later what you thought was true was a web of lies. If so, your personal “kingdom” suffered violence at the hand of a fallen world. Thankfully, Jesus understands this type of violation. His own friends denied him, betrayed Him, and turned away when things got tough.
Warriors Arise
“…the violent take it by force.” (Matt. 11:12)
Strong’s Concordance defines “violent” and “take by force” as:
Violent (Strong’s Greek #1499)
- To tear away
- Seize
- Plunder
- Take away by force
Take by force (Strong’s Greek #726)
- To seize
- Carry off by force
- To snatch out or away
Our calling this day is to rise up, tear away that which the enemy holds captive, and bring it back into our kingdom. We need to stand up and fight for what is rightfully ours. We don’t know about you, but this gets us fired up! How dare the enemy distort the kingdom and cause damage.

Episode 4: The Force of Endurance
ABOUT THE EPISODE
We wake up every day with craziness going on all around us. The days we are living in are different than anything we have ever known. Our news media is filled with lies and causing the atmosphere to be filled with fear. Those of us called Christians and supporters of our Constitution are ridiculed, if not hated.
What is our position in the midst of the chaos? We must be firm in our trust in God, knowing He loves people and so must we. We need to recognize we are in a spiritual battle that is not against flesh and blood, but this battle is revealed through flesh.
Our position must be one of endurance, seeing that it is a supernatural gift to us. God makes it clear that His power is revealed through our weakness. It is good to see our weakness and admit it so God can then release His Strength in us. The attribute of His Strength that we are looking at today is endurance. Let us discover a key to supernatural life through endurance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 states, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
- Suffers - To patiently endure, not to lose heart. To persevere patiently and bravely in enduring misfortunes and troubles.
- Envy - To be heated or to boil with envy, hatred, anger.
Matt. 10:22 goes on to say, “…and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”
- Endures - to preserve: under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to one’s faith in Christ. To endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments.
- Save - to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction. Keep one (from injury or peril). To preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue.
Many people refuse the processes that reveal the purpose of life. In 2 Tim. 2:1-10, we see that Paul endured all things for a purpose beyond himself. He understood that his endurance allowed others to obtain the salvation that was in Christ with eternal Glory. Endurance is a divine attribute. Endurance reveals the love of God being released through us. Salvation is a manifestation of divine life in the now, not an outcome in the end.
Being trained in endurance will establish the Kingdom of God in us. Once we conclude that we have the power to overcome all things through God who strengthens us, we are partaking of His divine power.
Spiritual maturity is made manifest when a person refuses to allow any test or trial to have dominion over him. Receiving a promise from God is not nearly as vital to our development as enduring the process we go through in pursuit of the promise.
We are empowered to endure. Be encouraged!

There is a principle called self-government that is linked with the occupation of Holy Spirit in the heart. Self-government is the first place of stewardship tasked to us. In Proverbs 4:23, it states “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” The task of guarding our hearts is key to becoming a fully functional Holy Ghost filled occupying force. However, there are enemies of self-government that cause occupational hazards in our lives:
- The devil
- Temptation
- Worries, anxiety, and stress
Good ground is what is needed to become occupied by the substance of the eternal word.

The wicked occupation of the Nephilim in Genesis 6:1-12 sealed their fate when they came together and forged an oath on Mount Hermon. God came in with a great reset of the planet through The Flood. Upon exit from the Ark, God takes mankind back to His original intent through His words to Noah, “Be fruitful and multiply.” However, Noah’s son Ham remembered the evil ways upon earth before the flood and walked in a lifestyle of enchantment and occult practices. This led to the re-development of the Canaanite stronghold at Mount Hermon. The good news is that Jesus dealt with the oath once and for all. Back to original intent!
