Ari Iny started at Mirasee in 2014 as the company’s Facebook ad coordinator. Since then, he has grown through working numerous roles in the organization, including head of human resources, mastermind facilitator, partner liaison, and head of strategy for Mirasee’s ACES business acceleration program. Today, he is Mirasee’s Director of Growth and co-host of the podcast Course Lab on Mirasee FM.
Dr. Irena O'Brien teaches coaches and care professionals how to achieve better results for their clients through neuroscience.
She is the founder of Neuroscience School, which helps practitioners understand and apply insights from cutting-edge neuroscience research. She loves seeing her students gain confidence in their ability to evaluate neuroscience findings and use them successfully in their own practices. Her Certificate Program in Neuroscience is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for Continuing Coaching Education credit.
Dr. O'Brien has studied neuroscience for 25 years and holds a Ph.D. in the field from the Université du Quebec à Montréal (UQAM), where she did brain-imaging studies. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Language, Mind, and Brain at McGill University.

Maggie Dent is an author, educator, and parenting and resilience specialist with a particular interest in the early years and adolescence.

Maggie Dent is an author, educator, and parenting and resilience specialist with a particular interest in the early years and adolescence. Commonly known as the “queen of common sense,” she is also an undisputed “boy champion.”Maggie’s experience includes teaching, counselling, and working in palliative care/funeral services and suicide prevention. She is an advocate for the healthy, common-sense raising of children in order to strengthen families and communities. She is a passionate, positive voice for children of all ages.
Maggie is the host of the Listnr podcast The Good Enough Dad and the award-winning ABC podcast Parental As Anything. She is the author of nine major books, plus several e-books and other resources for parents, adolescents, teachers and early childhood educators, and others who are interested in quietly improving their lives. Maggie is the mother of four sons and a very grateful grandmother who resides near Sydney, Australia.
“Teacher Tom” Hobson is an early childhood educator, international speaker, education consultant, teacher of teachers, parent educator, and author. He is best known, however, for his namesake blog, Teacher Tom's Blog, where he has posted daily for over a decade, chronicling the life and times of his little preschool in the rain-soaked Pacific Northwest corner of the USA.
For nearly two decades, Teacher Tom was the sole employee of the Woodland Park Cooperative School, a parent-owned and operated school knit together by Teacher Tom's democratic, progressive play-based pedagogy. Teacher Tom came into teaching through the backdoor, so to speak, having enrolled his own child in a cooperative preschool, where he began working daily in his daughter's classroom as an assistant teacher under the tutelage of veteran educators — although he'll be the first to tell you that most of what he learned came from the children themselves. When it was time for his daughter to move on, he “stayed behind.”
Today, Teacher Tom shares his play-based pedagogy through online e-courses for early childhood educators; produces online early childhood conferences; consults with organizations about his "Family Schools" program; and inspires early-years audiences around the world (Greece, UK, Iceland, Australia, China, Vietnam, New Zealand, Canada, and across the US) both virtually and in-person with his engaging views on early childhood education, play, and pedagogy.
He was pressured by his blog readers into authoring his first book, aptly named Teacher Tom’s First Book, and is thrilled about the 2023 release of Teacher Tom’s Second Book.

Reckford is chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity International, a global Christian housing organization that has helped more than 59 million people construct, rehabilitate, or preserve their homes.Since 2005, when he took the top leadership position, local Habitat organizations in all 50 states and in more than 70 countries have grown from serving 125,000 individuals each year to helping more than 13.4 million people last year build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar, Jonathan worked as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. He was also the recipient of a Henry Luce Scholarship, which enabled him to do marketing work for the Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee and coach the Korean rowing team in preparation for the 1988 Olympics.
He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business before spending the first part of his career in the for-profit sector, including executive and managerial positions at Marriott, The Walt Disney Co., and Best Buy. While serving as executive pastor at Christ Presbyterian Church near Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was recruited for the CEO position at Habitat.
Jonathan is also the chair of Leadership 18, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Global Future Council on the Future of Cities for the World Economic Forum, and a board member of the Barron Collier Companies.
Named the most influential nonprofit leader in America in 2017 by The NonProfit Times, Jonathan is the author of Our Better Angels: Seven Simple Virtues That Will Change Your Life and the World.

Len Forkas is a dynamic figure known for his roles as an entrepreneur, endurance athlete, explorer, and dedicated philanthropist. He founded Milestone Towers and currently serves as its President. Based in Reston, Virginia, Milestone Towers is a prominent developer of digital infrastructure across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States. Since its inception in 2001, the company has successfully developed and managed numerous wireless tower sites, fostering significant job growth in construction, engineering, and manufacturing.
As an author, Len Forkas has shared his insights and experiences from his endurance events and adventures in two books — What Spins the Wheel: Life and Leadership Lessons from the Race for Hope (2014) and Cold Hard Truth (2022), with all profits supporting HopeCam. This charity, which he established in 2003, aims to alleviate the social isolation experienced by children undergoing cancer treatment by leveraging technology. HopeCam has had a profound impact, connecting more than 5,000 children battling cancer to their peers across 50 states, in collaboration with more than 150 hospitals. Notably, 70% of the children assisted by Hopecam attend Title One schools, with half receiving treatment at St. Jude’s Hospital.
As a sought-after leadership speaker, Len has been featured on major media platforms including CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Fox and Friends, Wharton Sirius XM Radio, and the local affiliates of NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.
His athletic achievements are equally impressive, encompassing multiple Ironman races, marathons in all 50 states, 100-mile ultra-marathons, and the grueling Race Across America — a 3,000-mile solo bike race completed in just 11 days. Len’s adventurous spirit has also led him to summit the tallest mountains on five continents. His current endeavor (January 2024) is an ambitious expedition to ski to the South Pole.

Hassen studied Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing at the University of Maryland.
Beyond her professional commitments, Hassen embraces her identity as a mom, a caregiver for her aging parents, and a first-generation American. She enjoys immersing herself in diverse cultures while traveling with her three children. A dedicated Terps fan, she spends her weekends passionately following Terp basketball and football games when she's not busy tending to her garden.

Tim Lupinacci is the CEO and Chair of Baker Donelson, one of the 100 largest law firms in the United States. He is also the founder of Everybody Leads, an organization that fosters leadership among underserved communities.

Tim Lupinacci spent the first 28 years of his legal practice focused on helping financial institutions solve complex problems arising in commercial restructuring and bankruptcy matters throughout the country. The past 18 years have been with Baker Donelson, one of the 100 largest law firms in the country.
During his leadership journey at Baker Donelson, Tim chaired the Financial Services Department, the Women’s Pathways to Leadership Committee, and served as a member of the Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. He was awarded with the firm’s highest award for both advancement and support of women and advancement and support of minorities.
Four years ago, he was selected as CEO and Chair of the firm, which he has led through significant organizational change, growth, and the global pandemic. He continues leading Baker Donelson through its five-year BakerVision 2028 strategy and the execution of its Diversity & Inclusion Compact.
As a self-professed “leadership junkie”, Tim’s journey to stepping up as a leader began thirty years ago as a young lawyer after disappointing a boss with an epic failure. The boss challenged Tim (after significant yelling and tough love!) by saying he saw Tim as a strong young leader who needed to recognize that he was a leader, and step up to own his work, his career, and his ambitions.
In the three decades since, Tim has studied, read, and grown his leadership skills through hard work, being curious, trying novel ideas, failing, learning from the failures, and getting better every day. This culminated in launching a non-profit called Everybody Leads focused on empowering individuals in underserved communities with basic leadership skills and confidence to better lead themselves, lead others, and lead in the community.

Maureen O’Connor, Ph.D., J.D., is the president of Palo Alto University (PAU), which specializes in Psychology and Counseling.
Prior to joining PAU, Dr. O’Connor held multiple roles at the City University of New York (CUNY) in New York City. Dr. O’Connor completed a Ph.D. and J.D. in a dual-degree program in psychology, law, and policy at the University of Arizona. Prior to launching her academic career, she clerked for the late Honorable Patricia Wald, then-Chief Judge of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and worked on the famous Oliver North case.
An American Psychological Association (APA) Fellow, Dr. O’Connor has held numerous governance roles in APA, including as Chair of its Task Force on Human Rights. She has been active in the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI/APA Division 9) for many years, including serving as its President.
Her recent work has focused on evidence-based pedagogy development for doctoral students and on innovative mentoring strategies. Her 2019 book, Teaching Psychology: An Evidence-Based Approach (2019), with co-authors Drs. Jill Grose-Fifer and Patricia Brooks, was published by Wiley Press. Jon Abbott is an American public media executive who held leadership roles at PBS and the WGBH Education Foundation, which comprises numerous public radio and television stations in New York and Massachusetts.

Jon Abbott is an American nonprofit executive and pioneer in public media. He rose from being a college student working in the radio station at Columbia University to being President and CEO of one of the largest public media networks in the United States: the WGBH Educational Foundation, branded simply as GBH.
During his career, he also served as Vice President of Marketing and Development at the PBS flagship station KQED in San Francisco and as Senior Vice President of Development and Public Relations at PBS in Washington, D.C.
He ultimately worked 24 years at GBH where, prior to President and CEO, he served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. During his time there, among many major accomplishments, he was instrumental in raising $215 million, the largest capital campaign by a public media outlet, and increasing GBH’s endowment more than eightfold to nearly $525 million.
Jon retired from GBH in 2022 and currently serves the foundation as President Emeritus.

Welcome to Behind the Launch! This 8-episode podcast pulls back the curtain on the ups and downs of launching a product or service. Cynthia Lamb is director of podcasts at Mirasee FM, where she produces or supervises the production of 11 podcasts (and counting). She got her start at the venerable University of Missouri-Columbia’s School of Journalism, where she was trained in broadcast journalism, served as the program director of KCOU radio, and worked as a television reporter for the NBC affiliate. For the NPR affiliate, she produced and wrote long-form radio documentaries – what we would call “podcasts” today. After her move to San Francisco, Cynthia worked as a producer on several documentary films before making her way to publishing.
For the 15 years prior to joining Mirasee, she worked as a ghostwriter for prominent and start-up business coaches. She was also the managing editor for Six-Figure Newsletters, which is now under the Mirasee umbrella.
Cynthia has ghostwritten more than 750 articles and 9 books of nonfiction. She is the author of two novels, the acclaimed Brigid’s Charge and the forthcoming The Sister I Never Forgot. She has a Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in English/Creative Writing from Mills College.

Meg Cadoux Hirshberg is founder of The Anticancer Lifestyle Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to promoting evidence-based lifestyle transformation for cancer survivors.
For 15 years Meg was a freelance non-fiction writer, whose work appeared in Yankee, New Hampshire magazine, and the Boston Globe magazine, among other publications. In 2009, she began writing a regular column for Inc. magazine called “Balancing Acts” that explored work-life balance and the intersection of family and business in an entrepreneurial setting.
Meg’s book, For Better or For Work: A Survival Guide For Entrepreneurs and Their Families, expands on her column topics. Axiom Business Book Awards, AMEX Open Forum, and entrepreneur magazine cited Meg’s book as one of the best business books of 2012. Meg has also written two yogurt cookbooks.
She is married to Gary Hirshberg, chairman and co-founder of Stonyfield Yogurt. The couple has three children.
Gary Hirshberg is cofounder, chief organic optimist, and former longtime CEO of Stonyfield Organic, the world’s leading organic yogurt producer. He is also cofounder and chair of two organic advocacy and education NGOs and the Hirshberg Entrepreneurship Institute, which supports mission-driven entrepreneurs. An active investor and philanthropist, Gary is involved in a number of projects, among them establishing an organic entrepreneurship center in Motueka, New Zealand. Dr. Ann Weinacker has been a practicing physician with specialties in Pulmonology and Critical Care for more than 30 years.

I think that one of the things that I have learned is to ask questions, and then stop talking and listen to the answers.” – Dr. Ann WeinackerDr. Ann Weinacker currently serves as the Senior Vice Chair of Medicine for Clinical Operations; Associate Chief Medical Officer, for Patient Care Services; and the Chief Physician Executive of Stanford's Risk Management Department (The Risk Authority) at Stanford University. She is also a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine and the Director of the Intensive Care Units.
Ann began her career in medicine as a nurse and nurse anesthetist before completing her M.D. at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Mobile, in 1986. In 1994, she advanced her training at the University of California where she completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship and a cardiovascular postdoctoral research fellowship.
Her strong advocacy for patient-centric care led to her being one of four leaders designated to actively design, guide, and implement strategies to improve the patient experience at Stanford.
Ann has extensive experience in clinical and administrative leadership, serving as a full-time faculty member at the Stanford University School of Medicine since 1999.
She is the recipient of numerous national honors, and editorial posts. Shalini Verma is a high-energy leader at Google working on software development frameworks that bring Google's products to life. She has a passion for the discovery and development of tools and techniques through cross pollination, collaboration and experimentation. These tools help remove physical and mental pain, foster creativity and innovation, develop decision making and leadership skills, and bring peace of mind.
While she has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and a Masters in Business from Harvard, she is continuously humbled and awe-inspired by the education she receives from her two boys and her journey within. Eric Edelson is a graduate of Stanford Business School and the CEO of Fireclay Tile. He loves to challenge the status quo and find unique solutions to big problems.

I'm holding it back because we're not being aggressive enough.'” – Eric EdelsonEric Edelson is the CEO of Fireclay Tile in San Francisco, CA. He joined Fireclay in January 2009 to help reshape the company into a leading, growing, profitable design brand. Fireclay is an amazing organization that focuses on both residential and commercial projects that span from small decorative pieces to massive projects for folks like Google, Whole Foods, and Starbucks. In this role Eric has had the most fun ever in a job. He runs all aspects of the business and works with an amazing team of people.
Together, they have been able to grow Fireclay from 21 to over 250 team members while helping to disintermediate the tile world by bringing their products direct from maker to your home or project. Fireclay is the only US Certified B Corp tile brand, and Eric is passionate about using Business as Force for Good, local manufacturing, and challenger brands! Eric graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He previously specialized in biopharmaceutical and medtech investing at Lehman Brothers as part of a 3-person team making venture capital and special situations investments.
He actively invests in and helps support other small, growing businesses, as well as through his membership of YPO (SFBay Chapter).
He loves to run and is always up for training and competing in crazy races. One day he hopes to get a lottery spot in the Western States 100. Matt represents the fourth-generation of family leadership and has assumed roles in sales, marketing, corporate development, manufacturing and operations. Prior to joining Bobrick, Matt worked at the Boston Consulting Group and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Outside of work, Matt serves as a Governor of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and as a Trustee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, where he chairs its Next Stage Grants Committee. He also is a member of the Young Presidents Organization’s Los Angeles chapter.
