Life for Steven and Tim was quite different when they were 25. Steven was on a self-discovery journey and left New York to travel the world. As for Tim, he had just graduated college and jumped into work-life, working as a page in corporate America.
Fast forward a couple of decades, and it’s quite the success story for both of them. Steven, the head of a top-producing real estate team, 2 beautiful children, and a partner. And Tim, top agent, fiancée, and dog dad to 3 who now works with the big cats he used to serve.

And while loving freely is accepted now, for most of their adult lives, gay marriage was not legal.

Steven tells us about the time a wealthy client asked him to go to JONAH- Jewish orthodox conversion therapy, dating women and parenting as a gay couple. We all love instant gratification, but in some cases, it’s a lot more rewarding to lose in the short term. In Episode 3 of #RealTalk, Steven and Tim talk about all the times they’ve lost to win. From not getting the listing to struggles with fitness, relationships, and careers, Steven and Tim dive deep.
Tim brings up his past relationships and how letting go helped him find the right one. Steven knew at 16 that he wanted to be a Real Estate Advisor to the stars, but instead, he chose to explore the world and lived in Israel, South Africa, and Australia before starting his current career. And for both Steven & Tim, at the time, these seemed like losses. But they now realize that sometimes you have to lose to win in life.
