Being in control of your life sounds like something positive, right? Ain't nothing wrong with wanting to be disciplined, or overseeing things that aren't working around you, right? In general, in a flock, there's often times only one leader, so why can't you be that person who supervise or direct the loss sheep, right? Who wouldn't want to team up with someone who's concerned in delivering the best always?
Thing is, although this sounds good, it isn't sustainable in the longterm as you would frustrate your relationships, you will exhaust yourself from that pressure of holding yourself all the time to a very high standard and it is impossible to control everything.
My question to you: Why do you feel the need to control everything?

Has any of you ever had to deal with pain, heartbreak, illness, stress, conflicts of any sort, spiritual confusion, loneliness, financial struggles, a loss, I mean, you name it. If you have never struggled in this world in any level, well blessed you must be and most certainly a special person, cause even Christ, God only beloved Son suffered on this earth.
My point is this: life on its own is already challenging but add to it the wait till marriage aspect and if you're not strongly embedded in God and filled with His Holy Spirit, this celibacy/abstinence journey could at some point play little tricks to your mind. You're never really too far from experiencing loneliness or doubts about your walk.
What if we struggled in our journey cause we were too self-absorbed instead of keeping our focus onto God?

Hiya my beautiful oving souls,
God has been great and amazing!! We are celebrating our second year anniversay!! Woot, woot!!! I am soooo greatful and thankful for this adventurous opportunity and pray that God continues to lead so I can continue to perfect my following skills as it is Not Natural for me.
This is what explains the title. Many times, I have to ask myself " Is it God leading me or am I holding the wheels and directing my life the way as per my own agenda? "
I don't know if I'm alone in this but I'm a work in progress for sure til death.

You know how sometimes some people will say that "Life be lifeing"?! Yep, that's a fact, but the devil is a liar!!! April 25th 2023 will be 1 whole year that I have started this journey and I am humbled to be alive and able to fulfil this call that is to serve all my Christian celibates out there in the world.
Though a wind of distraction blew towards me for a second, trying to uproot me from my purpose, the compass of my life, that's living in me under the name of the Holy Spirit, said...: "child, stay still". And He showed me the north. Sometimes in life, we may be focused for a moment but before we know it, we find ourselves adrift and lost. Not to panick. Just as Our Loving Shepherd, Christ said: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." He knows You, Me, All of Us that are His. So stay assured my friend.

Observance of celibacy as well as many other important decisions in life need to be deeply considered and thought through for, they can be accompanied by great challenges.
This is definitely not an adventure where you want to be alone or isolated.
"I am strong. I am capable. I have a strong will. I don't need anybody. I was created to dominate therefore nothing can shake me. Others do it, why not me?" I, I, I, Me... (LOL). Chile (child), little disclaimer... Without God, celibacy is unthinkable. We may all do it, but the experience won't be as smooth as a clear sailing.

Many decades ago, gender roles were very different from today's reality as men and women's responsibilities have undergone major transformations. Whether it is because women have carved out their place in the labor market and now, also occupy higher demanding positions or because of a self-sufficient and independent society, one reality is that marriage has declined by one third since 1970 in the United States.
This led me to wonder about how old is too old, if that's even the case to get marry? When does it get challenging finding mates your age or at least from your generation to marry without running the risk of being labeled sugar daddy or cougar? Is it 25, 30, 40 or more?

Hello my beautiful souls,
Now, I don't know who said that just because you voluntarily decided to make a vow to God by honoring Him with your celibacy that all of sudden all will be pink, easy and beautiful...Nah fam! Thats not quite true. For as long as we will live in this flesh, we will NEED for the Holy Spirit to guide us, comfort us, strengthen us and remind us daily of the why and end goal for choosing to walk on this journey. Yep! Trying to do this alone...might feel very challenging, discouraging, frustrating and lonely.
If the diamond were at hand, well everyone would be rich and therefore the diamond would lose its value. Beautiful and good things are usually hard to find and out of reach. This is how the selection is made. Only the valiant will win. Celibacy requires a will as solid as a diamond, and a determination as unshakeable as a tiger.

What came through your mind when you read the title "People's voice while single and celibate"? Do you sometimes feel like it seems as if everybody got it figured out for you? Why should you think or plan anything when if it's not your momma, your sister or your friends, oh, almost forgot, the stranger at the grocery store or your neighbor, they all seem to have some advice for you about your single status. Let alone if they find out about your celibacy journey!
"Do you have a boyfriend? Are you married? Are you planning on having kids? Are you looking or you're happy as you are? Have you tried the dating apps, meetups, group activities or going to a bar or coffee shop, church, park, gym, restaurants, book club meetings, cultural events, climbing the Everest...? (Sigh...) Now, let us all be clear. I am convinced that most of these inquiries and concerns come a place of caring but have people considered what I or anyone in a similar situation want?
I choose to believe that there is hope with all these caring souls lol...Nah really. They just need to put action in their intentions.

Hiya, my beautiful soul,
I would assume that if you are still single and looking, we probably live in the same neighborhood...(lol). Where are all my beautiful single Christian folks hibernating beside church? How to meet them? The struggle is real. Have they all given up on Love?
This question has intrigued for a while now. I have been within the church walls over 10 years, graduated with honor in" Church Girl" program and discipline, and have exercised patience but no more than flirts and friendship have emerged from this experience.
Pretty certain, that there are lots of people who wish to find this out so they can prayfully start building their life and future with their better half. It is time to step up and this is what we're doing!! It is time to find these single Christian's delicacy and help you all as well, most importantly.

It's not enough that some people think that it is ok to intrude your privacy and inquire about your singleness status each time they see you as if they were the "Single People police" but when they smack the "alone and lonely" badges on you inaccurately, oooouh...you just want to send them to NoneyaVille (None of your business) LOL.
Let's laugh a bit. Though it can be and is very annoying to be labeled wrongly, some people really don't mean it in the wrong way and truly care. Then you have the ones who aren't willing to help you putting an end to your supposedly " lonesomeness or loneliness" but simply want to remind you of your reality.
