The Previous : Pet Peeves ChroniclesIn this episode, we're diving into the world of pet peeves—those peculiar habits or behaviours that just get under our skin. Whether it's something funny, downright irritating, or just plain strange or unusual, we've all got those one or two things that others do that push the wrong buttons.

Childhood ShenanigansIn this episode, we are going back in time to when we were kids, but only humans that didn't know better. There were things we did back then that we would consider unwise, childish, or even inexplicable. It could be that you used to steal your crush's face towel—so she always came after you, or did "wash and wear" four out of five days of school then—or maybe you used to be bullied a lot and then you did something radical in retaliation. Whatever it may be, come share with us on the 9ja Show.

Topic for episode 6: The Perfect DateEveryone has been in a relationship at some point, maybe. Some have been on many ships; others are usually lone sailors. Either way, we all have our own pictures of the perfect date and how we'd prefer to go out with someone of significance.

VALENTINE DAY AT A GLANCE by @ladivee
Valentine to me is a day when people get to show and express their affection beyond the words of the lips. It’s that time of the year or month where we try something outside the day-today cliché of “I Love You”. It’s a day of endless love.
We love the experession "endless love". This brief but insightful post gave us an insight into the heard of the writer as she told us her experience with the day of love and what it means to her.
HIVENAIJAWEEKLY. LOVE IS BY ACTION. MY TAKE ON VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION by @ezemann
Love is a good thing to ever happen to a person. The foundation of the world was laid with love and it's this love that keeps the world going. The feelings that come with love are inexplicable that's why people do certain things in the name of love.
This post definitely had me thinking in a lot of creative ways to extend a helping hand. From prison and orphanage visits to school seminars on hygiene and societal values. Someone indeed does know how to make it count. Love is about giving. Are you giving?
HIVENAIJA WEEKLY CHALLENGES: MY THOUGHT ON VALENTINE'S DAY by @bularj
Valentine day is a special day to show love to your partner but i do not think highly of it because i do not need a special day before i can show love to my partner or shower my loved ones with gifts...
Okay. This guy clearly doesn't think anything special of Valentine's day but he does respect it and prefers to be indoors. He also give us a peep to what his first crush was like...
HIVENAIJA CHALLENGE: MY THOUGHTS ON VALENTINE'S DAY by @gone-hive
*Although, growing up as a child, I have always had the impression that those who were older than me were simply using Valentine's Day for youth exuberance as I could see them parading themselves around with the colour red. *
With a good sense of humor, @gone-hive not only gives us his thoughts on Valentine's day but also classifies the kinds of valentine people. Funny guy...
That's it folks. We are grateful to the participants of this prompt and look forward to more engagements from members and non-members.

Why do we migrate to other countries? by @gone-hive
FREEDOM: The country's structure is designed to oppress me and you on a daily basis. Life in Nigeria is difficult for everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status. The right to live is not guaranteed; now you leave home, and you cannot assure your family that you will return.
My thoughts on Immigration by @samuel-oguneso
Well there are lots of reasons why living in Nigeria has been hard for me. First is sudden increase in price of goods and services ,for months now the price of goods and services in Nigeria has been overwhelming, people have had to spend more of their earnings on foodstuffs.
My thoughts on Immigration by @chidubem26
However, not all of us are destined to immigrate. Some of us need to stay and make our impacts in our little ways. And I think I am among those that will stay and keep pushing for the growth of this country. This is our country. And I won't leave it for anyone.
Why Nigerians are exiting Nigeria faster then the flash can by @emmaba1
Afterall, they have made Nigeria into what it is today and the baker must always have the largest share of the cake, if not the whole cake. I really could go on and on about the problems of Nigeria, but I'll stop here.
Why do Nigerians Immigrate by @iamchuks
Nigeria education system is another problem. right now the education committee ASSU are planning to embark on another strike. A student whose course requires 4years is likely to have extra more years because of the strikes constantly happening in the educational system.
That's it, folks. We are grateful to the participants of this prompt and look forward to more engagements from members and non-members. Also as a development, do endeavour to drop links to your post in the comment section of each prompt given by the Hivenaija community. We appreciate it!

My Most Memorable Prompts of 2021 by @wolfofnostreet
Hello HiveNaija people! In this video, I talk about my favourite prompts from last year and why they remain memorable.
A Hive veteran talks about her messy creative process, an enjoyable trip and how she savors the little things of life. All memorable experiences!
MY MOST MEMORABLE EVENT ON HIVE IN 2021 by @emmaba1
My most memorable moment on Hive in 2021, even though I most definitely didn't recognize this at the time, was the day I published my introductory post into this same community and officially joined this wonderful platform with a lot of amazing projects.
A newbie who gives a history of what his first month has been like and how much he has enjoyed and learned so far. It can be hard coming onboard but voicing out questions has proved to be helpful for the Newbie.
Hivenaija content: The most memorable moments in hive in 2021 by @zara09
I joined hive last year October to be precised 2021, so basically I'm still a newbie I guess, it has always been a great time for me on hive, because to me naturally, if there is one thing that I hate, it is to be reading or writing stories, I have just hated it since in the primary and secondary school days for no specific reasons (lol)...
Almost everyone has a testimony of how much they've come to like Hive. Hive not only gives you a way to earn but also brings knowledge to your fingertips and while most people are skeptical of what they don't know, witnesses back up the Hive story.
My 2021 hive memorable moment. It might not be a big deal for some people but for me it meant alot , lol. by @uzuka
So anyways i decided to try it out, made a mistake though by creating a post first rather than introducing myself first. Which someone corrected me and i made my introduction post later in ocd.
No one is above mistakes just as we are not above corrections. There is more than to what meets the eye. Every Hiver has that special moment when they realised Hive wasn't just a platform but more.
That's it folks. We are grateful to the participants of this prompt and look forward to more engagements from members and non-members. Also as a development, do endeavor to drop links to your post in the comment section of each prompt given by the Hivenaija community. We appreciate it!

This is the first official newsletter of the Hive Naija Community. In our newsletters, we will be highlighting the top 3 to 5 posts on the Hive Naija community based on the weekly prompts we put out and then on the last Wednesday of teh month we'll give out prizes to the overall best posts of the month.
The Hive Naija Community is striving to highlight a lot of valuable content posted by not only Nigerians but all members of the community. This is a means of creating exposure as well as rewarding authors for their effort in putting out great content.
While we currently don't have many posts for the current prompt, we want to highlight some amazing projects by Nigerians on Hive that have brought a lot of attention to the Nigerian Community.
Hive Naija Weekend Engagement by @Samostically
Where Should I Start From?
5 days ago,I embarked on a wild adventure to find all my brothers and sisters(Nigerians);here on hive,I started with a Call to Action Post , After 2 hours of posting, guess what happened?!
We had Over 100 comments on the post!
Awesome right! It was sweet and cute! The activity on the post increased Sotey @Hivebuzz had to step in and drop a badge hahahaha.
@samostically has had this initiative running for 2 months now and it has generated some substantial traffic on the community.
Newbie Initiative Application Now Open by @newbies-hive
Let us tell you a bit about it
This is a program to train new users/accounts so they can have a better understanding of the capabilities of the Hive Blockchain as well as those who have not been able to develop well enough so far.
@starstrings01 was one of the masterminds behind this initiative and it has become such a huge deal on Hive and we can't help but commend his activities.
5 Hive Questions with Samostically by @samostically
I started the show titled "5 Hive Questions With Samostically" in November and I wanted to be more than just a regular blogger,I wanted to explore the Blockchain, have fun and also learn from others, that is how the idea came from. I decided to start with people above 65+ reputation or 3 years active experience on the Blockchain.
@samostically also began this amazing initiative last year and is currently on his 7th episode.
Let's Talk About Sex by @young-boss-karin and @samostically
I and @samostically came up with the idea of a show where we talk about sex and sexually related situations. In this show, we will be discussing our sexual experiences and bringing in guests to talk on sexually related topics that will be both educational and fun for the general public.
@young-boss-karin and @samostically recently began this podcast and although it's still in its beginning phase, it has shown to have a lot of potentials.
This is just our way of recognising our own and if there are projects by Nigerians that have not been mentioned, do well to keep us informed about them and they will be mentioned in the next newsletter.
This post is created and edited by @young-boss-karin

This is officially our first post of the year. I would like to apologise for how it's coming a lot later than we promised.
The @hive-naija community has a lot of plans for the year 2022 and while we may have encountered a slow start for the year, we believe we're on track to having a profitable year.
In our last 2 meetings, we noted the following plans and goals for this year. We would like to;
In this regard, we currently have @nonsowrites and @young-boss-karin running the majority of the community activities. So, if you would like to offer some assistance with the writing of our newsletter and running out Twitter accounts, we advise that you reach out to us on the general Telegram group and we'll get back to you.
Finally, we encourage more ideas from members of the community at all times and would also specifically like to thank @singhcapital and the @ocd team for their massive support.
