This podcast is my final project for a class I am taking at Westmont College called Music and Formation. I interviewed people who are all musicians (but in varying genres) and we talked about the way music forms them as individuals and forms cultures.
Our final episode is about...dance! I decided to interview my lovely friend, Ashley, who has been a ballerina for almost 15 years!! Obviously, dance and music are not the same things but they are related in a lot of ways and Ashley has some great insights to share.
Tucker has an extensive musical background and he has a passion for making and producing music. In this episode, he talks all about his process of growing his skills and making connections with other artists.

Laura has taught ETM (education through music) for 30 years and teaches a class at Westmont for future teachers (like me!) called Music for Children. She also has an extensive musical background and is an incredible flute player. She is always seeking to learn new things, which is what makes her an incredible teacher. In this episode, Laura shares valuable wisdom on how ETM forms children and creates a culture of belonging.
Tyler has a unique perspective coming from a very musical family, being classically trained, leading worship for many years, and now training worship leaders as a youth pastor at Crossroads Church!

Welcome to take Notes with Chloe Harber, hosted by yours truly. In this podcast I will be interviewing multiple different musicians of all different genres, ages, and backgrounds. This is my final project for a class I am taking at Westmont College called Music and Formation, so I will be asking my guests how music has formed them and how they think they shape culture through their music. I hope you enjoy listening to these conversations as much as I enjoyed having them.
In this episode I talk to my fellow Westmont Warrior, Jesse Nieman, about his experiences with music (which are VERY extensive and impressive!). His main two instruments are piano and violin, and he is part of the Westmont College Orchestra and Choir. In this short conversation he shares about how he started playing classical music, what motivates him, who inspires him, and much more!
