Korgan Clark left us decades too soon. But in another way, he'll never leave us. As a special tribute to a special young man, members of his Multimedia Production class and a couple of his friends come together to record a podcast episode celebrating the life and influence of Korgan and his music.
New Hands-On host Brandon Harper welcomes you to Season 4! Brandon starts with interviewing our new HVAC instructor Darin Spack and two of his students. Then Brandon talks with Mark Cater of Lincoln Tech (www.lincolntech.edu), who visited TCTC recently to talk with students.

In this episode, host Kaleb Ranquist has a chat with Trevor Deschaine, a first-year student of the Multimedia Production program about the curriculum, his progression towards getting a drone license, and his post-secondary plans.
Afterward, a short intermission where Kaleb talks to Chase Farnsworth of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business program about his experience and perseverance through the Entrepreneurship competition at SkillsUSA, winning a silver medal, along with winning CTE Student of the Year at TCTC!
Finally, Kaleb talks with Austin Harris, a second-year student of the Multimedia Production program, about how being a second year student differs from being a first year, along with his projects including directing the documentary, Rural Dreams!

In this episode, host Kaleb Ranquist interviews the instructor of the Natural Resources program, Stephany Perkins, about the several outdoor activities, field trips, and training involved in her program including hiking, camping, snowshoeing, hunter safety, chainsaw safety, and so much more.
Afterward, a short intermission featuring Caroline Ridout, a Workforce Development Specialist from the Maine Tourism Association who recently visited TCTC, about the hundreds of jobs available in the tourism industry that are highly beneficial to CTE students.
Finally, Kaleb interviews Hiram Butler and Topher McGuinness, two students of the Natural Resources program, about their experience in the class, training, and future endeavors in the workforce.

In this episode, the Multimedia Production program went to Piscataquis County High School in Guilford to film a total solar eclipse. Host Kaleb Ranquist interviews the instructor, Nelson Cole, and a few students about their plans for filming the eclipse.
Following these interviews is a live reaction with narration from Kaleb when the eclipse reached totality, along with interviews from others who watched the eclipse.
Finally, Kaleb interviews Graphic Design and Communications student Christian Oliveira, whose proposal for GDC's solar eclipse merchandise competition won, and was very successful!
In this episode of Hands-On, host Aiden Guerette chats with Mariyah Castigliego, a current student of the Criminal Justice program, about her experiences in the program.
Afterwards, a short intermission from host Kaleb Ranquist and US Army Staff Sergeant, Ryan Whitley about benefits enlisting in the army can do for students.
Kaleb then talks with Criminal Justice instructor, Colonel Steve Spaulding, about his experiences as a Maine State Trooper, and what students are expected to do in the program.

A promo for the upcoming second season of the Hands-On Podcast. Please welcome two of the hosts: Kaleb Ranquist and Aiden Guerette.
On this episode, we interview the 2022-2023 Student of the Year Andrew Doughty. He recently participated in the state of Maine's Skills USA down in Bangor competing as a firefighter. He won the state competition and is now going to the national competition being held in Atlanta in June. Currently Andrew is enrolled in the EMT program; he took firefighting however his first year at TCTC. Hope you all enjoy this episode of Hands-On.
Being a student at Tri-County Tech comes with many opportunities post-secondary education. However, this student Cayden Brown is a second-year student in the Commercial Truck Driving program, and he works at St. Albans Custom Homes and Excavation as a dump truck driver locally. He was given the chance to start work after his first year in the program. Now, instead of going to CTD class, he just has to go to work! We also get the chance to interview Paul Lachance, owner of St. Albans Custom Homes and Excavation about why he started up this company, and also why TCTC is important for these students. There are many more opportunities like this in other programs. We hope that you enjoy this episode of Hands-On!

This episode of Hands-On contains interviews with instructor Scott Wilhite and student Cadence Bachelder. They discuss interesting topics about the program that you may find cool! This is also the first episode to have a news segment about different stories going around TCTC. Hope you all have fun listening to this episode!
Formerly called, "Tech Foundations" it is now named Energy Systems Technology (EST). We talk with the first year instructor Nick Mullins who has some very important topics to discuss about his class. We also get a chance to converse with Zaiden Williams, a student in EST about what his opinions are on the program. To go along with that, we interview different students around TCTC and ask them what they have done today. EST is a STEM based program about how to use and fix different energy sources such as: lights, wind, solar, HVAC, and more. It is also one of the only programs who offers the class to sophomores. On this episode of Hands-On, we interview one of the newer instructors here at TCTC: Jason Partridge, who actually took the Metals program when he was a student.
