Welcome to the Femmes Finance Podcast, the ultimate destination for young women who want to take control of their finances and achieve financial independence and career success.

Episode Summary:

Today’s dominant internet platforms are built on aggregating users and user data. As these platforms have grown, so has their ability to provide value, which has enabled them to stay ahead. But all of this might be changing. Now many companies are switching to Web3, which is a fundamentally different approach . It’s based on the idea that there’s an alternative to exploiting users for data to make money — and that instead, we need to build open platforms that share value with users directly.

In Web3, instead of platforms having full control of the underlying data, users typically own whatever content they have created (such as posts videos photos even podcast episodes), as well as digital objects they have purchased. This is a major shift that needs to be further explored and understood.

In this exciting episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Alexandra Overgaag, the Founder and CEO of Thrilld Labs. Alexandra joined us to discuss the fascinating world of Web3 and the opportunities it offers for businesses and individuals.
